Gerrard59:privatize a business and expect it to grow in Nigeria? I should ask if you are ignorant of the way things are done in Nigeria. Yep roads are a government responsibility, but because of huge infrastructural deficit caused by years of misadministration, private entities could help. Private entities could construct road in order to prevent loss of revenue. In fact let a private entity not bother with repairs or construction of road and watch as they would make a loss. I remember ojemai farms in their hey days, as they took a road and repaired for the sake of their business. I can also remember reading that factories of old create their own private roads for their businesses. |
TheAngry1:bro pls try to always read completely before commenting. her story is really gaining traction because she is an adopted Nigerian. |
Nasir123:bro we can fix it only if we all are ready to form a movement and forget about tribal/religious affiliations. |
vikacydevato:bro it can start you at least 2hectares of cassava farm or 1 hectare of cucumber farm |
MrWondah:thank you bros. God bless you. imagine if 100k is given to tech start up or even tech innovations - the bandwagon effect will be massive. look at the money amazon pumps into us post office, just imagine if tech companies start pumping money into nipost, roads. just imagine the jobs those companies will create, even the wealth it would generate if companies are listed on the stock exchange. the day I knew we lost it as a country is the day when it was announced the 48 million would be given to a single person and persons will still part with their money so that someone they do not know from adam will win that money |
make una dey look am there. very soon na so one Hollywood director go give am role for him mannerisms |
shey una see d insult wey dis people dey give us because of the economic hardship wey dey force many Nigerians to buy used product |
HeyCorleone:not that am supporting BBN but do know that Russia has such a show, and that the big brother franchise was made popular by the U.K. truth is I would have preferred the Indian version which is the big boss |
hmmmn |
makydebbie:I I never said so, pls stop forcing words into my mouth(or in this case keyboard). You simply stated Ghana is better than Nigeria which implies that you meant twas in every aspect and I simply stated you should point out how it was better |

The report said “by 2050, the third most populous country will be Nigeria, which currently ranks seventh, and which is poised to replace the United States. “Among the 10 largest countries of the world, one is in Africa (Nigeria). “Amongst these, Nigeria’s population, currently the seventh largest in the world, is growing the most rapidly. “Consequently, the population of Nigeria is projected to surpass that of the United States shortly before 2050, at which point it would become the third largest country in the world. “In 2050, the populations in six of the 10 largest countries are expected to exceed 300 million: China, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and United States of America (in alphabetical order). just because there are no censuses taking place yearly does not mean you will not be able to estimate. As for my point up there , it all simple common sense. |
makydebbie:lady Nigeria is by far better than Ghana. state ur reasons why you believe the opposite and I will state mine. also currency value does not determine the greatness of a country except for cheap propaganda points or you want to tell me that Libya is so great or Russia is so bad. sorry lady I always love ur comments but this time I believe ur are the delusional one. |
Axis313:bro that's not an epic response. truth of the matter is that we Nigerians want a magic wand wave which would give us stable power supply rather than thinking critically. the power generated by this country could comfortably supply three - five small African countries but not Nigeria. why? quite simply our population is growing to fast, this causes increased infrastructure which means increased electricity consumption. imagine Nigeria is said to hold one of the largest population of youths and if multiple baby mama birth continues, by 2035 our population would hit maybe over 230million, imagine that more power consumption and our power systems are just being upgraded at that time to 2015 population. as we grow in population, so also we will lag in electricity. |

udi4eva:so river Niger flows from Ghana and empties in the Cameroonian highlands, well u learn something everyday. anyway what that guy above said about Nigeria supplying Ghana electricity is true and funny enough is true for most countries close to us and they are all owing us hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars. we are also supplying them gas for their turbines and they are owing us for that also. |
concupiscent:if u were born an breed in Benin it either you were not born to a Benin family, or you are an utanta supporter |
hmmn, I talk am say this lady na lair, she go jus day pack the kids for ring road. once saw her near first bank ATM and saw 2 ladies drop 1000 naira notes. the only one make government remove na those wey they carry swollen body parts for ring road |

NSK4U:bros is not a lie, anchor borrower's for instance gave between 2bn- 3bn per state, u also have programs for fisheries, livestock and so on. I remember during 2013/2014 when they were giving out loan to farmers . up till date no farmer has paid back most went and bought new cars, married new wife and so on rather than using it for what it was meant for. |
Sagay212:true, I believe some nairaland mods are contributing to the current religious and ethnic tensions. how can someone push such a thread to FP knowing the effect and how polarizing such issues are. Can u imagine someone equating a choice in profession to someone being kidnapped. Well I believe both the op and the original writer are touched in the head. |
friimarket01:bros that car u are seeing and others with nuclear/radioactive fuels were planned in the 50s/60s, its only now that the tech base has improved that their building it. truth is most of the improved techs were planned in the 1890s - 1930s. like Tesla's AC current, radiant energy transmission, electric cars e.t.c, but lack of funds, war, nepotism and poor tech base did not allow them to develop it. Truth is if we even look through Nigeria's own past you will find some inventions. What we need are daring investors with the bravery and will to support. them sorta like musk |
Afam4eva:do you not know it is because of the money they appropriate from commissioning of projects. At times, the cost of commissioning could be more than half the cost of the project. |
bros abeg is this real?
messi play?
naija do swear for them?
seems like the coach go jus kukuma get him sack b4 world cup. |
Gullah:no nah him spare parts dealer wey go London last week. mtcheeew |
fecta:nor vex, maybe the bros don't booze |
Donbabaj:abi, maybe they are playing horribly so the opposition at the world cup will underestimate them |
caprini1:I just hope and pray we can find a midfielder of such quality and another lethal/efficient striker for the world cup |
Ekaka1:true, we are playing without purpose or conviction. I still can't believe eagles defeated Argentina because if we had played like this all through the match, then you can be damn sure they would've trashed us. |
Gangster1ms:b bro its not just Joel. whenever they go foward they lose initiative and they give the ball away damn to easily. they also are not stringing passes and some are showing skills to the fans and then they would lose sight of the ball. I believe their winning streak is getting into their heads. |
philcz:bein sport6 |
oga I nor know o. I think say na secondary school match I dey watch. them be don't score us o |
