Nigerians die daily without knowing what killed them. The sanitary conditions of some of these street vendors is such that they might as well be cooking in toilets. Just last week, I ordered for some snacks from someone I normally buy from, buy my intuition seemed to be angry with the woman, and I was challenging her subconsciously that is she certain of the conditions in which she prepares her snacks. But because I was hungry anyway, I ate some of them. From the next day, I start having headaches, running stomach, weakness, body pains. I take Panadol extra, symptoms reduce & return again. Until I saw a doctor yesterday who prescribed full antibiotics, now the symptoms are not there today. Nigeria, being a shithole means a lot of food we eat outside are straight outta shitholes. 1 Like |

Religion has degraded the brains of most Nigerians, and so the only response we keep hearing in these everyday incidents is 'thank god for sparing my life'. No improved legislation concerning articulated vehicles. No strict regulation of their operations. No subsequent investigations are carried out to determine the various causes of these everyday accidents with a view to preventing them. Yet we continue to thank a mysterious & nebulous god who somehow lets valuable properties be destroyed everyday, but who occasionally saves the lives of the victims. |

Why are Nigerians mediocre in their reasoning ?? Everyday, a tanker must fall somewhere. If it's not fuel tanker, it's dangote tanker, or water tanker, now flour tanker. Don't we understand basic laws of physics?? Are there no background and safety checks on people and haulage vehicles?? All air contains some percentage of water. And in a closed system such as inside a tyre where the air is mainly for tyre inflation, water vapour has hardly any effect on pressure, BECAUSE WATER BOILS @ 100 DEGREES CELSIUS, and tyre temperatures do not come close to 100 degrees C. And whether air pumped into a tyre is humid or dry, the air will still expand when driving anyway. The Nigerian Legislature has already approved the loan from China. What lunatic fayose should have done earlier was to lobby the lawmakers from ekiti state to convince their colleagues in the legislature not to approve the loan. But travelling to China to submit a letter to China's president to tell him not to approve the loan is plainly the action of a mentally disturbed individual who actually believes he is playing opposition. 4 year expiry date indeed !!!. Different tyre manufacturers have different standards, different tyre quality levels, different manufacturing & testing procedures, and so there is no 'one date fits all' method applicable to ALL tyres. Different tyres also have different functions and specifications and conditions for which they are made for. This influences the kind of rubber the manufacturer uses. Storage conditions also influence the rate at which rubber degrades. From my experience, 'all terrain' tyres from a reputable manufacturer will go 6+ years without significant rubber degradation. 4 years may only be applicable to cheap inferior Chinese tyres which would have worn out long before 4 years if they are used regularly. |
