Politics / Re: Paffcomm Official Statement On The Anambra State Election by bushwailo: 12:58am On Nov 20, 2013
Another issue in the SE is the situation of non-catholic Igbo sons and daughters vying for political office.
They have become outcasts in their own lands.
Virtually they have become 21st century Osu.
They are not even allowed to marry Catholics .

This explains why Igbos are outcasts in the National context.
I see it as an act of God.
Politics / Re: Paffcomm Official Statement On The Anambra State Election by bushwailo: 11:47pm On Nov 19, 2013
Paffcomm or whatever you call yourself.
Are you aware that this is the same Igbos that followed Ojukwu to mass graves
In the face of bombs, mortars and heavy artillery.

And what do u think Ojukwu was after ?
Ojukwu wanted power for himself , that was why he exiled, executed and imprisoned all voices of moderation.
The same Ojukwu came back and joined forces with the same North that he was supposed to be protecting Igbos against.

And have my people learnt any lessons ?
I guess not ?

My question is where are the voices of moderation in alaigbo
Where are the Ekwuemes, Anyaokus, Nwabuezes etc
Why do the likes of Obi, Kalu and Nzeribe be the voice of Igbo.

ODirom ka ibu nwa afor Igbo! Anyway, FYI son, we Igbos are not desperate for the presidency, it will come when it's time for it. We rejected APC because we are not yet convinced of their sincerity and what they could offer us. They should use the next 4 years and build a better relationship with us and then present a formidable candidate. They just might get it then but for now, we in Anambra are more comfortable with our APGA!
You need to compare your voting pattern to that of the Yorubas to see how unsophisticated you are.
The Yoruba's voted against Obasanjo, a bona fide son, he lost in his own village.
They voted PDPs GEJ even while voting en masse for ACN on the governoship level.
The voted out all underperforming AD governors leaving only Tinubu.
The list goes on and on .....

Nwanne ka anyi kwu ezi okwu. We have a long way to go.
Do you know the way we look when politicians are campaigning in Catholic Churches.
With reverend fathers openly woed in the media.
With stories of pastors being slapped swaying voters in Enugu and Imo state.

And what has APGA done to convince you apart from claiming that they are Igbo party.
Igbo party with no presence outside Anambra state.

I was a bit disappointed in the election results and how poorly APC performed.
The reality is that these BIAFRA and Catholic bigots are still strong and make a majority of Anambra electorate.
Anambra is still mainly conservative and not ready for change.

If the election is conducted again, I don't see Ngige winning.
Ngige should accept the results and let Anambra have Obiano.
They deserve what they voted for.

I only hope Obiano will break away from Obis policies for the betterment of the state.
As per Igbo presidency..... as an Igbo man who followed the last election in Anambra with the level of religious and tribal bigotry,
I don't think we deserve a shot for the next 50 years.

I had held this Jega guy in high esteem, even after he had messed up the Anambra elections in 2009.
But for the same thing to repeat itself in 2013 is just poor.
Please, I think he should resign now before 2015 or be replaced.
I expected him to be undone by a new trick.
It shows that he din't even bother.

The same old Obi tricks he allowed to repeat itself, replacing the INEC register and most voters not finding their names on the register.
This is paramount to espionage, subverting our electoral process.

Which Exactly is Ojukwus legacy ?

NPN the Boko Haram party in the 80's ?
Or APGA the so called Igbo party ?
Politics / Obi Government Indebted Anambra To Boko Haram Bank - Ngige by bushwailo: 3:35pm On Nov 05, 2013
Anambra State Government Indebted To Islamic Bank–Ngige
The Anambra State gubernatorial debate became more revealing last Thursday, when the moderator threw a question to the contestants that Anambra State is alleged to be owing foreign loans.

The APC candidate, Dr. Chris Ngige informed the audience that he brought the donor agencies like UNICEF, UNDP by paying the counter-part funding. Ngige also said that he took no foreign loan during his 33 months in office as Governor.

Ngige, said that APGA government has taken huge loan from Jaize Bank, a Muslim Bank.

Meanwhile, APGA candidate, Mr. Willie Obiano submitted on the issue that the donor agencies left the State eight years ago and boasted that he is the only person who could get loan from the World Bank, a statement that generated laughter from the audience.

However, a civil servant, Jonas Okeke who was at the venue of the debate – Women Development Centre, lamented the shallowness of some of the candidates to the issues, whom he said dodged the questions, while some proffered solutions are apparently utopian.

His judgment is that apart from few candidates, some of the candidates are really not in grasp of the problems and solutions of Anambra.

Haba, you see the mindset of us Igbos ?
It is now catholic against Protestant.
Something unheard of in Igbo politics ever before.

We need to get rid of this scourge called Obi and his party.
They are willing to damage the unity in Igboland for political gains.

How can we go to Abuja to cry marginalization when we are perpetrators in our own land.
I think God has looked at our hearts and punished us to forever be second class citizens who will always serve and not lead.
This is this same mentality that perpetuated Osu in Igboland.

Meanwhile, an unconfirmed report blamed the stampede on the governor. The report quoted eye witnesses as saying the stampede occurred when Obi started campaigning for his gubernatorial candidate and there were shouts of disapproval, causing his security aides to fire tear gas into the crowd.
But Obi, who said, yesterday, that he was heart-broken by the event, said he went home after the crusade satisfied on the rewarding spiritual encounter, only to get the news later.

Mr Dumbo, get this into your thick skull.
1. Obi was invited by the priest to partake in the crusade.
2. He never made any campaign speech. Even Obiano didn't give any speech at all.
So because this is election period, does it mean Obi cannot go for a crusade? I personally would have blamed him if he had made campaign speech there but many eye witnesses have collaborated the man's story. Please tell APC to stop playing politics with people's lives.
My friend you are still talking rubbish.
Whether he was invited or not does not mean he did not try to politicize it.
How do you explain the presence of Obiano at the event.
Was he invited as well ?

gleaf: It is very unfortunate that we are now using peoples blood to seek political gains and demonise each other, APC should have conducted their own private investigation into the matter before pointing accusing fingers, almost everybody there acknowledged that APGA crew are long gone before the end of the church activity when the incident happened, Lai should be very careful of his uterances!!! How do we even know that your party did not sponsor such evil act to paint APGA black?
Politics or no politics, the presence of Obi and Obiano clearly shows it was a campaign move. He should take responsibility that lives were lost during one of his campaign operations.

He is no Oba or Emir, he is Obi of Onitha (Ogbe) and thats all.

He is just a product of one of Obi's propagandas.
Igbos are the only ethnic group who had never rallied around a center of authority.
We have always been liberal and democratic.

I don't think the Igwe himself wil be happy to be used as a political tool.
