Secondly, ask yourself these questions:What print media do they read?Do they read newspapers or magazines? If it's magazines, what niche? Is it fashion, health or business magazines? What do they listen to?Where do they visit?Do they use handsets?Do they watch TV?If yes, what time do they watch TV?Which online forum do they patronize?Facebook,Twitter? How will they prefer to be reached? If you can provide sincere answers to the questions, you will be good to go with your marketing.Cheers

netawuf: My own challenge is abt mrkting. Introducing new prdct into ng mrkt is quite challenging. Lag peeps, let's meet in d island.
The importance of marketing in the success of a business cannot be over-emphasized.That is the reason marketing is considered as a line activity instead of a staff. Most businesses spend money on marketing activities that do not yield positive results. To avoid that mistake, you should identify who your prospective customers are, their population, beliefs, buying habits, occupation, lifestyle, age and every other important demographics.
Fellow Nairalanders, the bone of contention started when the logo was delayed only for a few days.
Businesstools was not patient enough for a one thousand five hundred naira logo design which i told him a friend will do.
Then he said he was no longer interested in the domain and my design.
He never even bothered to give me any reason....
If you can remember vividly,I did mention in the text message I sent that I'm not a patient man.I'm a result oriented person.Consequently,I do not condone people making promises they cannot fulfil.
@Mrbusinesstools. I`m sure you remeber vividly that it took you more than a week to make payments for you domain name after making promises and failing twice.
The i promptly purchased the domain name you suggested and desined it for you (free) using blogger.
You will also recount that you expressed appreciation for a job well done after which i sugg€sted we do a logo for you.
I am on the payroll of the Federal Government of Nigeria and not struggling to earn a living. Payment was delayed not because I was broke but because I was in the creeks, which I explained to you.

splendidb20: name them please. I appreciate you advice
Scan your environment for human problems that you can solve.Production of goods can be a bit expensive but rendering of services could cost you nothing or close to it.Besides,if you have got novel ideas, others who have money but no ideas will be more than willing to invest, provided you are able to convince them in your business plan, beyond reasonable doubts that your idea is going to be a profitable one.

DANILSA: Guy I Believe u, I read one of ur article that really impressed me, last year my Boss had to pay almost 2million for we 6 managers to attend a 1week seminar only to be taught the same thing u wrote here for free. U too much, much respect.
Thanks.Nigerians have this phobia for taking business risks and entrepreneurship is about taking risks. What keeps baffling me is that some of these youths who are afraid of failures are ready to risk jail or even their lives. The worst that can happen to you in business is losing all your investment. With adequate planning, this loss can be reduced to the barest minimum.I hear a lot of people complain of not having enough capital to start out on their own. There are a lot of businesses out there that you can start with less than ten thousand naira. What determines your success in any venture is passion.Never invest your time and money in any business you do not enjoy doing. It will eventually collapse.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Are There Still Jobs In Nigeria? by Businesstools(m): 10:44am On Aug 25, 2012
Considering the fact that every course studied in the Uni or Poly has got one or two human problems to solve,I don't think we should be complaining of unemployment. To the Nigerian graduates, pls stop looking for jobs.Create Jobs!

Decentralize Your Internet Presence: In the 90s, your “Website” and your “internet presence” were basically synonymous. Today, they’re not. If you’re on a tight budget like most entrepreneurs are, consider paying less attention to your website and focusing more on the rest of the web online. Customers today are all about relationship marketing because they want to do business with people they know and trust and the best way to create that relationship is to go to the places they are and those places are Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Nairaland and other online social forum. Establish your business presence on these sites.
Question: Besides your main site, how else can you establish a cost-effective internet presence?
Shame on you. See how you`re embarrassing yourself for less than 5k.
I`m waiting for your apology o!
That amount is not up to what I use in recharging my line at a go.It's just that I don't like people making promises they cannot fulfil. You can sell the domain name and keep the money as my Eid El Fitir present to you.Cheers

CareerRe: I Need Your Candid Opinion by Businesstools(m):
Since you don't have a job presently,I'll suggest you accept the offer. At least,it will keep you busy.Besides, since the manager said he wasn't interested in paper qualification,I believe your salary will be reviewed upwards in no distant time,if you prove your competence practically.Lest I forget,Have you bothered to find out how much other employees earn in this coy? That will answer your question on prospects.

Listen to your employees.Nobody knows their jobs better than your staff. They see all the problems and issues on a daily basis.Chances are, they also know the best ways to solve them too.Ask your staff what the biggest issues are and get their ideas on how to solve them. Not only will you make your employees happy by seeking their opinions, you will also get some brilliant cost-saving ideas too.

I'm not only a soldier but also an Accounting graduate from the University of Benin and an ICAN professional student.Like the civil sector, the military also have lawyers, pharmacists, nurses, doctors, engineers and other professionals. We are not a repertory of school drop-outs as a lot of us are made to believe.

@Brand_new:You built a website for me at no cost.I very much appreciate that but I do not need the site anymore.I don't see any offence in asking for the registration details of the domain name I paid for.I do not claim to be a military man.I am a soldier and have never used my position to intimidate anybody.Pls provide the information and let's get over this. You can keep the money for the logo cos I don't need it.

2ruink: I greet u all my fellow Nairalanders! people refer to this country as a land of opportunities business wise but I'm yet to find those hidden opportunities. I have done business for a few number of years now tho poor start up capital but nothing to show for it. I believe strongly that two heads are better than one. Perhaps that which we could not see as single individuals might be unveiled here. let's talk business guys. let's talk ourselves into new opportunities.
Look closely. There are opportunities everywhere. The problem with most of us is that we follow what other people do instead of looking out for human problems and proffering solutions to them. These solutions could be tangible or intangible, new products to solve existing problems or an improved version of existing products.Look very closely in your environment. There has got to be a gap,a need yearning for you to innovate a product to fill.
