The importance of marketing in the success of a business cannot be over-emphasized.That is the reason marketing is considered as a line activity instead of a staff.Most businesses spend money on marketing activities that do not yield positive results.To avoid that mistake,you should identify who your prospective customers are,their population,beliefs,buying habits,occupation,lifestyle,age and every other important demographics.

Scan your environment for human problems that you can solve.Production of goods can be a bit expensive but rendering of services could cost you nothing or close to it.Besides,if you have got novel ideas,others who have money but no ideas will be more than willing to invest,provided you are able to convince them in your business plan,beyond reasonable doubts that your idea is going to be a profitable one.

Thanks.Nigerians have this phobia for taking business risks and entrepreneurship is about taking risks.What keeps baffling me is that some of these youths who are afraid of failures are ready to risk jail or even their lives.The worst that can happen to you in business is losing all your investment.With adequate planning,this loss can be reduced to the barest minimum.I hear a lot of people complain of not having enough capital to start out on their own.There are a lot of businesses out there that you can start with less than ten thousand naira.What determines your success in any venture is passion.Never invest your time and money in any business you do not enjoy doing.It will eventually collapse.

Listen to your employees.Nobody knows their jobs better than your staff.They see all the problems and issues on a daily basis.Chances are,they also know the best ways to solve them too.Ask your staff what the biggest issues are and get their ideas on how to solve them.Not only will you make your employees happy by seeking their opinions,you will also get some brilliant cost-saving ideas too.

I'm not only a soldier but also an Accounting graduate from the University of Benin and an ICAN professional student.Like the civil sector,the military also have lawyers,pharmacists,nurses,doctors,engineers and other professionals.We are not a repertory of school drop-outs as a lot of us are made to believe.

I have done business for a few number of years now tho poor start up capital but nothing to show for it. I believe strongly that two heads are better than one. Perhaps that which we could not see as single individuals might be unveiled here. let's talk business guys. let's talk ourselves into new opportunities.

Look closely.There are opportunities everywhere.The problem with most of us is that we follow what other people do instead of looking out for human problems and proffering solutions to them.These solutions could be tangible or intangible,new products to solve existing problems or an improved version of existing products.Look very closely in your environment.There has got to be a gap,a need yearning for you to innovate a product to fill.
