you don't know what you are saying. Some final classes are up to 250 to 300 in the class. Some don't even come to class till exam time. They write exams and zoom off till the next session for exams again.

I will still say it. You might know majority of your class mate but not all.

Even if the scheme has outlived it's purpose, it is still fostering national unity to an extent. Even if the war is over, there is still regional and ethic war in Nigeria which the scheme has salvage to some extent.

Think of the thousands of Nigeria that will loss their jobs if the scheme is cancelled. You won't want that to happen in a country that is still battling with serious unemployment crisis. It might result to a national protest which might cause great havoc.

With the thousands of graduates passing out from school, the ministries in nigeria can't accommodate them. In the state where I served, the public and private ministries and firms were filled up. Same with the schools and even so farms. Corpers were looking for ppa and didn't even get. Some did their ppa in some boutique, market places which is not ought to be so. The reason is because the state has filled it's capacity. Nigeria has not grown to the extent where the ministries alone will accommodate corpers.

Remuneration is poor for corp members. I know that but we hope for increment from the government. You were posted to a place where you used to 2/3 alawee for rent. That was your fate. Some didn't pay for accommodation fee. I pay 10k for a self contain the whole service year where I served. Different stroke for different folks. Some enjoyed it while for some it was total waste of time.

What I think the government should do is to overhaul the scheme and re-organized the scheme to meet its purpose. The security and welfare of corp members should be paramount. The government should work in hand with hosting communities to ensure corp members are not mal-handled , marginalized and maltreated by indigenes of the community.
Employer of corps should also be made to provide the basic amenities such as accommodation water and bed for corp members. They should also be a strict law for employers of corp members to pay them some minimum about for transport and lunch.

NYSC is a good scheme that need total transformation. It should be uphold and strengthened to meet its purpose.

Post graduate diploma. u get a pdg if u wish to obtain a MSC from another discipline not related to yours OR if ur CGPA is not up to certain range. in some schs 3.0 or 2.8. so u no. even knw. the meaning u carry dey post cus u wan book space.

for example, u are a graduate of chemistry (first class, 2.1, 2.2 etc) nd u want to obtain. a master's degree in engineering, or social sciences etc.. u ll ve to obtain a PGD in that discipline u want the masters before u can proceed to master's. thank me my dear, atleast from today u knw what it is

PGD is not only for third class graduate but if you decide to run a master program outside your discipline...

that's my sweet op, tthanks you that my school make that list! You see when you mention unimaid, some people think its an islamic school and people there are dump. I graduated from that school 2008, and I'm from osun state. Unimaid were recognise as the best university in the following feeds: eart surgery(medicine),best in law(2006),best in economics&acounting(2004),best in Vet medicine till date,science feeds are outstanding,but our engineering is among he worst. Thanks once again op.

Many people think the school is not that good because it is located far in the north... But I know UNIMAID to be a very sound school in certain discipline. I told a guy here that before the insecurity problem UNIMAID was the second best in Geology after OAU.

The security issues has really affected the ranking of the school but it is still very sound. I have been able to meet one or two persons from the school. Their performance was really amazing.

What course did you study? Am a graduate of Geology, from UNIBEN.
