davidylan:
this girl is funny. Trust is a "trivial" matter? Respect is "trivial"?  grin

Wait till your bf skips work to "chill" at another woman's house.
Nope.  Trust and respect are never trivial in serious relationships.  There will be no "together" without trust and respect for your partner.  If there is a "together" it would be unhealthy and it will fail quickly.
huh she was chilling at her friends house not cheating. lol

Actually I re-read the topic and NOWHERE on there did she say that she ever cheated on her boyfriend.
her writing is not very clear most times so it can be hard to analyze it. It's also easy to imply a lot of things she probably didn't intend to be implied.

apparently the reason they have a problem in their relationship is:
1. the things that seemed trivial to her were more important to him (she didn't say what these things were)  huh
2. one of the "things" was that her bf doesn't trust her with her male friends which she found very trivial again (i would too)

her faults here then is not listening to her bf, lying to him
her boyfriend's fault here is taking trivial things to seriously, jealous

then again this is my own analysis of the matter
CAn you please make up your mind?  You yourself accused her of cheating.  I was only going with the flow of your post.
Your girl is here because she has reason to be worried.  She got caught playing the dude, now she pays the price.
Romance › Re: What Do I Do To Win Back His Trust! by C2H5OH(f): 12:29am On May 26, 2009
If she's not cheating on him anymore how can she gain enough of his trust to be able to visit her male friends w/o the bf casting shadows of doubt?
Cheating once is enough.  One strike and you're out.  Cheater should not give the boyfriend an ultimatum on when to stop casting shadows of doubt.  Her trifling led to his distrust, so now she must learn to deal with the consequence.

Romance › Re: What Do I Do To Win Back His Trust! by C2H5OH(f): 12:25am On May 26, 2009
It doesnt at all. Except of course you're only trying to defend your own baseless point.
I again agree.  Her points are baseless indeed.  She tried to insinuate that the boy banned the girl from talking to guys, and when that didn't fly she latched on to something else to divert focus.
Romance › Re: What Do I Do To Win Back His Trust! by C2H5OH(f): 12:22am On May 26, 2009
yes it does detract from the main point. 8am is very early in the morning and a suspicious time to be with a male friend unless there is reason behind it rather than just chilling
I disagree.  The main point is that your girl is a cheat.  She skipped work to hang out at a boy's house, the boy is not her boyfriend.  Her serious boyfriend called to inquire about her whereabouts, but she collapsed and hung up on him because she was cheating.

And that is just one of her many offences.   Time has little to do with her irresponsibility.  Cheating at 8am or 11am is stll cheating.
I will have to blame both of you. You were foolish to cheat on him and give him reasons to distrust you.
he is stupid for indirectly banning you from seeing your male friends. this will create more problems 'cause then you will lie to him (about your whereabouts etc) for fear that he's suspicious of you and he won't believe you because he sees you as a liar and cheat.

I will have to agree with Michelin89 here that your bf has no right to say you can only talk to girls.
What's the point of keeping a relationship without trust?
Best thing is to sit down with him and explain how you feel. matter of fact, re-read what you wrote on here to him if you don't know what to tell him. lol  If he wants you'll he'll say so. If he doesn't then go your separate ways!!! you will meet someone else and learn not to lose his trust so this situation won't repeat itself.
Tsk tsk.  I strongly disagree.  He is not stupid. She was not banned. You tried to inject your own meaning into the post.  The boyfriend never said she can only talk to girls.  The girl said "a very little part of his talks have been bothering on his being able to trust me with my male friends" .  Keywords: A VERY LITTLE PART.

He simply expressed his feelings to his girl about her inner dealings with members of the male species.  You should be able to express yourself in a serious relationship.

The whole "insecurity" card seems to be overplayed. Most people here throw it around like they just heard the word.
This is a marriage bound relationship. To get there, theres been a lot of sacrifices and trust involved.
To tell a lie about who you were with, is unjustifiable. And calling her male friends pet names in front of the guy?
Does she respect him at all? Except if it was a joke and he knew about it.
And she wont be on NL spilling her guts if she was right.
Male friends or friends of the opposite sex are ok, but in this case she compromised her integrity.
Drop the "insecure" word.
And FYI, no one is 100% secure. When you love with all your heart, a little insecurity always lies there. The only thing is not to let it control you.
That doesn't apply to this case.
The girls BF had every right to act the way he did. I wonder how many of you actually respect the meaning of relationships, and whether or
not you respect those you claim to love.
Abeg!
Wow! True words there.
Yes agreed. Lack of respect has destroyed so many relationships.

"Insecure" based exactly ON WHAT? Pls can someone show me? Perhaps you females are privy to one story that the rest of us cant see.
I agree.  Normal behavior should not be readily labeled as an insecurity.

I too would be worried if a woman I intend to marry is serving another guy breakfast in his bedroom at 8am.  To top it off, knowing she calls him honey and sweetheart would make me declare a state of emergency.

Yehp.  I totally agree.   Tope too smart.  tongue It would make no sense for a loving boyfriend who can "have any girl he wants" to go beserk when I have done nothing wrong.

And it's not like this guy is suddenly hounding her for what she's done.  She is mad that he is now beginning to play the same game she has been playing all along.  He's now talking to random girls, and her insecurities are beginning to make her crumble.

She was careless. Very different from cheating.
yeah of course.  Cheaters always look for excuses to rationalize their irresponsible acts.
Oh I was careless.  But I was drunk.  It was the devil.
They are not even close in words. I call people sweetheart, darling. Does that mean I am a freaking bisex? Oh spare me.
Yeah of course it's okay to trifle when you have a boyfriend, right?  I am not satisfied with the attention I receive from my guy so I shall hit on other boys in his presence.   He shall overhear me exchanging puppet names with those boys and must be fine with it.  grin

Who does the man think he is? If he wants to father so much why doesn't he produce a son? Pathetic.
Just her boyfriend.  But that means nothing these days anyway.
Hasn't that title earned him the right to a phone call?   It would be okay to call my girlfriend and ask her a simple question without having to fear that she would hang up on me, right?  I think grin
@weak acid

I am very amazed at your ability to pick out every fault from the poster without considering the guy's. I am sure these bunch of sheep will kindly read your own version and forget the rest. You see they are so miserable in life that their only satisfaction is to hate and judge someone who hasn't even done anything wrong and of course they don't know.

Isn't that sad?
Yeah, and it makes so much sense to me that I have done nothing wrong, but I am desperate to win back his trust.[

I assume the poster is telling the truth. This is what I think:

1. Her boyfriend shd not have asked to speak with d guy. Is he hounding her or what? and they are not even married yet. I dont see why he shd monitor everyone d girl moves with. I dont want to think he's insecure.
2. Please, let us give our girls a break, and for once treat them like people who have a mind of their own. That is the young girl of today, sensible and independent. Let us stop seeing them as weak-minded lazy individuals who sway in whatever direction comfort and material wealth dictates. angry
3.As for the poster, i think dat she MUST talk things over with him so that they reach an amicable compromise. If they cannot trust each other, let them please seperate as quickly as possible. Marriage is not child's play.
Did you even bother to read her posts? Don't worry I can break it down for you.
Family › Re: Sex Before Marriage Does It Help? by C2H5OH(f): 9:43pm On May 25, 2009
Sure it might be helpful sometimes, but sampling is no sure recipe to know how great your sex life with your partner will be. If it's a one time thing, you could easily classify it as an excitement associated with having intercourse with a new partner - you get a rush because it feels different. But to think that there have been people who enjoyed explosive premarital sex, only to end up having mediocre sex while married. Some even get bored and don't have sex but once a month while married. Once you have tasted, tasted, and overtasted from the forbidden fruit, the yoke of sweetness leaves. All you have left is an oversexed tranny laying in your bed waiting to regurgitate the same sexual routine.

Yes! Not forgetting it is good for you.  Maybe not for the person you have forgiven, because you don't know his/her true intention(s).
I would personally argue that you should never foret anything that has hurt you (or your family) .  Try not to dwell on the past, but learn from the pain and make sure it doesn't repeat itself.
I think that's a mechanism we use to protect ourselves.  Don't you agree?

Until you learn to see forgiving and forgetting as two distinct terms, none of this will make much sense to you.
