Well i think i joined this site a couple of months ago to get info as to wats going on in 9ja, as for the afrikatopia, my friend and i had several ideas of what we do while we search for real jobs and we ended up with the afrikatopia idea. i shall be workin on it as days go by though

some scarification designs i have seen are really really cool. i feel as nigerians both local and international consider tribal marks (scarification) as archaic. its something of pride that we should be happy about if they are done correctly. however, there are some nigeria tribal marks that are really really really amazing and mind blowing one will be like what the heck. but that is not bad country Benin's form of tribal marks is worse because it has to go across your abdomen and across the inner lining of the hairline on your forehead.

as for me if i have a child/when i have a child i will not considered a him/her getting a tribal mark. but when he/she is grown up its up to them the reason being that tribal marks do not necessarily have to be on the cheeks, or 'minus, minus , plus, plus', according to hot_angel), they can be anywhere on the body though its no longer tribal the individual will ideally be the only person to have the mark just like tattooing.



if done properly they look cool its just a form of a mobile visual art.

recovering data from formatted hard drive is not fully guaranteed. for illustration purposes, lets assume you have a 5 MB hard drive each MB lets say its a cell. you have data occupying the first 3MB/cells. you format the drive the data still remains. if u reinstall applications operating systems etc what you were expecting to recover could possibly be over written because the new items will be allocated to the spaces randomly. defragmenting will re arrange. and over write what you intended to recover.

Sometimes you get back some things, sometimes you loose. the best suggest is to get a big hard drive and do regular backups.

Its kinda funny people holding sides as to which platform would be most advantageous to people that are just beginning to appreciate the imprtance of computing. Well, teach people first about computers and let them decide. I started out with Macs, its was cool moved on to windows, very easy and relatively useless product based on the number of problems associated, then i have now working on Fedora.
It all depends on an individual's knowledge about computer. Least knowledgeable will surely go for windows are it is easily supported.

try removing the windows registry entry for NAV2004 from the registry. that i think is what is preventing you from installing or removing. because the registry detects most installed softwares and would probably prevent double entry in most instances. follow this

from your computer menu

START > RUN > REGEDIT

EDIT > FIND > NORTON OR NAV.

and delete the entries. restart and try removing from the add/remove stuff hopefully that should work


Norton antivirus is probably the most streamlined anti virus program. others will possibly include many other functionalty such as spyware, popup block. which you are probably not interested in. it is preferably easier to have separate applications for each individual pc protection you need.

Anti virus = Norton
Spyware = Spybot

*Popups first recommendation is to switch from Internet explorer to Firefox. that alone should take care of most of your pop up problem.
FYI from time to time u may need to use IE for some website as not all webpages are supported by Firefox
