Webmasters / Re: Globacom Nigeria Is Recruiting Web Designers by Cactus(m): 3:28pm On Oct 02, 2009 |
you already know the reason which you have accurately stated Globalcom wants someone who is capable to do all and they pay one price. If i was the head of the ict, i would mostly employ two people for what they are looking for. a designer a developer Once you get in, you become a slave. Also, I think they mentioned java. I am not familiar with java. I have tried avoiding it |

Webmasters / Re: Need To Let Internet Users Connect To My Wampserver by Cactus(m): 6:36am On Sep 08, 2009 |
using dydns service on a dialup. Doesnt sound ideal. |
Webmasters / Re: Need To Let Internet Users Connect To My Wampserver by Cactus(m): 12:46am On Sep 08, 2009 |
Go to this site dydns.org register for an account tot get a host name. but if your ip changes since you are on dialup you have to go there to change it manually except you are using a wireless router that can automatically update your ipi on dydns |
Webmasters / Re: Need To Let Internet Users Connect To My Wampserver by Cactus(m): 4:05pm On Sep 07, 2009 |
dont stress yourself with a dialup connection |
Webmasters / Re: Channels Tv Contact Us Page Database Error by Cactus(m): 2:39pm On Sep 07, 2009 |
Maybe the information entered into the form will be sent via email and would also be inserted into a database at the same time. Since it is easier to search through a db to make reports etc. but I am thinking they may not even be as thoughtful to store the contact form inquiries into a db for better service by going through for reporting etc. |
Computers / Re: Can I Install Xp On My Preinstalled Vista Pc? by Cactus(m): 1:25pm On Sep 07, 2009 |
it is not because of vista that your computer is slow. there is something else to it. applications installed, memory on the computer many things. Find out why it is slow before doing anything drastic |

Hopefully this is a trend that may continue. No need for efezi just keep is simple straight to the point. Would suggest making the breadcrumbs bigger Putting a divider between the left and right. Or just set your border-right: 1px #000 solid or dotted etc. for yout left side Hm I wont touch much |

Webmasters / Re: Best Website So Far 2009: Drop Yours by Cactus(m): 1:56pm On Sep 05, 2009 |
I hereby declare that anybody that is doing any web design or other type of design work should definitely take a class or more in user interface design. And I also recommend that before starting a website project go to google and type in "CSS GALLERIES". Spend some time going through different designs. It will be worth it. Even if you don't learn anything at least you know how to google. The habitat site is kinda cool, I like the concept but the blue is just way too much. I know the triangle concept is nice but having it on all the state icons and other part of the site is simply excessive. This could be cleaner with a couple of hours. And the other common thing you can find on some nigerian site is picture stretching. whats up with that? No need to stretch to fill space. It looks awful I am working on a project. I hope I wont give up before it is finished. Spent days looking at designs and concepts. So I decided to use deviantart concept. I have gotten the page layout similar to theirs. I have also gotten a plugin or script for the left menu. Others may not look the same but getting close somewhat. ah ah ah ah ah. BTW the girl at Kwasu, (yawa) http://www.kwasu.edu.ng/portal/images/studentstudying1.jpg Pretty if she is not interracial, I would say from south east asia. looks like she got some Indian blood in her. She is Indian. |
