Ahbbiey: Sorry not backing down.
I never said in my post being the 'biggest' was related to the number or students or the physical capacity of the campus.
Besides Goettingen has a larger student population.
Please read well before you misquote me.
It is also not about the number of institutes or noble laureates or budget size.
More prestigious than Uni Hamburg? We are not debating prestigious-ness.
Yes Göttingen has its perks no doubt about that but it isn't the largest research institute in Northern Germany.
Fact is Universität Hamburg is the biggest education and research institute in Northern Germany, you can go check your facts. Goettingen does not have a larger students population . I've checked my facts and I don't see how University of Hamburg is bigger than GAU in education/research . The indices I listed has not been discounted yet Larger number of research centers More Nobel laureates affiliations Higher budget More prestigious Richer history Better ranked Better known internationally Those facts are verifiable, but you just came up with a fictitious assertion that you can't even defend.... Okay sorry, I forgot you're heading to University of Hamburg, hence the bias is understandable |
Travel › Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by cahnellven: 6:45am On Sep 10, 2015 |
@Ahbbiey Do you think being big is based on students population alone? University of goettingen has the largest aggregation of research institutes in the whole of Western and Northern Germany, has the highest number of Nobel laureates, has the biggest budget, and hence .... Way way bigger and much more prestigious than University of Hamburg. University of Hamburg does not even come close in terms of rankings. Prior to the Holocaust and world war 2, goettingen is the seat of Science in the whole world ..... Check your facts well and come back to admit you're wrong |

Rayhut: yes I think that Bremen has more students from Nigeria because Bremen has 3 notable universities e.g University of Bremen which is the biggest university in Northern Germany, university of applied science and Jacob university and their application process is not through uni-assist. #Team Bremen University of Bremen is not the biggest University in northern Germany. It is not even the most prestigious. The biggest and most prestigious University in northern Germany is University of goettingen by a distance. Like eke rightly said, University of Bremen has a huge selection of English taught courses when compared to other German schools, so that contributes in no small way to the large number of compatriots heading to the Hanseatic city state |

Culture › Re: Are The Ilajes, Aworis, Egbas, Ijebus, Ikales And Eguns Really Yoruba? by cahnellven: 6:32pm On Sep 07, 2015 |
dejavski: The ilajes are a subgroup of the Yoruboid linguistic.. Full Yorubas are descendants of Oduduwa. NB: we ilajes are not his descendant. He met us in ile-ife Nobody is discounting that .. Brotherhood is not achieved by relation alone, it is also achieved by association . Don't forget that the yoruba nation as it is, does not really means descendants of oduduwa. Oduduwa is just one man, everybody cannot come from his bloodline. Remember, he's the leader of the old yoruba race but not the founder. People precede him, like the ILAJEs for instance... That doesn't mean those preceding groups are any less yoruba |

skills50: Currently a first year student here in nigeria university Also enrolled into a german language class Any idea on tips from u will be appreciated You need at least B2/C1 cos you have to pass the testdaf or DSH examinations . To be competitive enough , your Nigerian grade must be equal to the arbitur grade of 1.3(sehr gut), that's 4.5 and above in Nigeria. With the excellent grade and excellent German proficiency, you can then fire your application with an equally excellent motivation letter, that way, you stand a good chance. As you may have now realized, it's no mean feat but it's not impossible either. As for good medical schools, UNIVERSITY OF HEIDELBERG has the most prestigious medical faculty in Europe, so competition is usually fierce, but if you can get in.... All good and well |

emmanuellaiyke: Everyone is talking about form A transfer and the banks here in Ikeja are telling me that I can't use a form A.Please what branches are you people using and please how long before the confirmation from DB that they v received the money? And my name is Emmanuella Iyke and I Am A GIRL.Everyone here is referring to me as "he". Locate the head office of the bank in question . Not all banks processes it though , but some like ZENITH, FIDELITY, UNION, STERLING and GTB can be used according to feedbacks from people on this thread |

Do you know if they insist on current account? The insistence on current account is only peculiar to gtbank. |

Williamso: Thanks. Are you sure about Zenith? Yeah very sure cos a friend used it and it was fine. A nairalander on this thread also used statement and union bank accepted it. From what I've seen, it's only FIDELITY that insists on a CERTIFICATE. |

jameseva: what document from the embassy? the email to pay blocked account money that was recieved after the interview?? This blocked account thing is giving some much headache. Looks like i will transfer the cash from skye to union bank. i'm tired of all this 'present an invoice from school story'. School is not even replying with any information or help regarding that. I think Union Bank is really stress free as regards the blocked account stuff . BTW, check your school's/department's website, there might be a breakdown of expenses waiting for you to download |

Bialegend: Speak for yourself man! My co-worker will not take that nonsense from anyone that tries to associate him with yoruba. You wanted someone to either debunk or confirm your fictitious Co_worker assertion, and I did debunked it. You once said people shouldn't speak for the ikales/ilajes except themselves, now I've spoken for my people yet you disagree. If your logic is to be taken into reckoning , your so called co-worker should speak for himself and not for the ILAJE nation Peace |
