Help please!!!

I just got my opening confirmation of blocked account from Fintiba, so I sent mail to book for appointment immediately, only for me to get an immediate reply.

My own mail:

The German Consulate,
Dear Sir/Madam,

I write to book an appointment for student visa interview, I have been admitted at the Technical University of Munich in the graduate program Masters of Science in Nutrition and Biomedicine (winter semester 2017/2018) whose enrollment dealine is 17th November 2017.

Attached herewith are the letter of admission, opening confirmation of blocked account and my passport data page.

I would like to request you to consider my application and grant me an appointment date. Thank you.

Yours Sincerely,

Their reply:

Dear Sir,

Please note that the Consulate General is already completely booked out in September. We are therefore unable to grant you an appointment date as the processing time of a student visa takes up to at least 5 weeks. You are welcome to reapply for the next semester. Further enquiries concerning your current letter of admission cannot be answered.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely yours,

Visa Section

Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany Lagos

15, Walter Carrington Crescent

Victoria Island, Lagos

Federal Republic of Nigeria

Then I sent this:

Dear Sir,

I want to request that you kindly consider my application and grant me an appointment date as the enrollment deadline for the program is November
17th which is a later date than the date written on your website ("...Hence only students with enrolment deadline from November 15th, as well as scholarship holders would get appointment dates."wink.

Thank you for your kind consideration

Yours sincerely

Please what else should I do?

NB: A quick response is highly appreciated, thank you

Its strange that an enrollment deadline was specified on your admission letter.
I hope you know you can enroll online at TUM , so the deadline in principle should not be a problem for you.

If you have paid your semester fee, register with an insurance company, say AOK bayern and upload the registration number/ certificate they provide you with on your TUMonline portal.
Ideally, you should get confirmation of enrollment within a week and you can use same to counter the consulate's line of thought.

Hopefully, your initial response would be enough to get you a date in October.
Best of luck

Shocking story.....Regrettable Bloodshed

I'm i the only one who noticed that the narrator, Dr Ishaku Pam is in fact the then 1yr 9month old son of the late Col Pam?

I can imagine the horror he went through. This lays credence to the story
Health / Re: New Organ Discovered Inside Human Body By Scientists by cahnellven: 9:49am On Jan 05, 2017
The mesentery has always been there although a tissue specific function wasn't assigned to it.

New evidence has shown that it is in fact a continous structure which may or may not qualify it as an organ.
But it definitely isn't new.

The name in itself is from the simplified latin word " Mesenterium" which is derived from Meso meaning Middle and enteron which losely translates into gut, Hence the english word "mesentery "meaning Meso( middle) enteron( intestine/gut) = Mid gut/ middle intestine.

This nomenclature is derived from the fact that the mesentery is formed by the fold of peritoneum that attaches the guts to the abdominal wall.

While the claim might be partly true, the title is misleading
You can take my word for it cos i have a BS in Anatomy

largest coastline in W/A? Makes absolutely no sense! Did OP and his people go to school atall?

He might not be entirely incorrect .
I know for sure that ondo state has the longest coastline in Nigeria.
So we can assume the op meant longest (largest)coastline in Nigeria( W/A)

I need an advice please...
I was in Germany this year for a 2 months student exchange program, i m currently studying a medical related course here in Nigeria, currently in my 4th year, I V got passion for an ICT related course, and i got a school that offers Electronics And Computer Engineering in English language, i also have the 8000 Euros, should i shun the medical related course at this stage and go for a 3.5 years course in Germany am really confused, the university in Germany resumes September 2017

Hey bro, just a word of advice..

If you're in your 4th year already, i will advice you finish this medical related course in question. Most medical related courses are 5yrs so you will already have your bachelors within the next year.
You can then divert to any field that catches your fancy

@ jaybmich, is it compulsory for the age declaration to have passport, cos the one i did didn't have any passport. also was i supposed to specifically request for age declaration for international purpose from the high court. i sent you a pm, please. thanks

The age declaration should be deposed by the head of the family.. It's just a document confirming your date of birth. You don't need to add any info regarding international whatever.

The presence of a passport or lack thereof hardly matters. Mine had no passport and it was totally fine.

Gudevening honorable house,
i really want to know, without the embassy not receiving the deutsche bank blocked acct funding notification.will your application not processed?because i heard some pple saying that without acct funding notification your application will not be send to germany for approval.

I know for sure that your visa will be processed and sent to germany. It will even be approved within the stipulated 4 to 6 weeks by the competent alien authority. If you haven't funded before then ,however, the lagos consulate will refuse to send you confirmation of visa but reminder to fund instead.

The statement above is at least true for myself and almost everyone i know who didn't fund before/immediately after interview.

With a sincere gratitude to the blessed 'TRINITY' i wish to share my testimony that my package was delivered to me today with my visa. The journey started last winter, though i missed out on getting an offer from Siegen (i applied late and was bitter, never knew God has a bigger plan). I got back to the drawing board with words of encouragement from beautiful people on here, God gave me a reason to trust in Him by applying to schools available for summer.

I had my interview early January and got the funding mail the next morning, with a note to correct the age of birth on my passport. Mehn! had to travel down to Abuja to face immigration but all thanks to God for His divine favor, i got it done within a few days. I scanned the new passport and sent it to the embassy, in between these days/weeks i kept on waiting for the db acct details (i was worried but had faith in God) before it was sent to me finally. Yea, passport corrected and db details gotten but here comes the funding ishh. Last week Monday the am mail dropped without funding, yea! Is God not awesome? With speed i got to Lagos few days later, and today my package arrived. Glory!!!!!

My appreciation goes to everyone here.... Dolpaz, Eke40seven, Kennyoguns, Canhelvin, Sonnyville, Honourableseyi, Adenjnr, Fapper, Futurewiser... And my Gs (femo and promise)... Abeg nor vex if i nor mention your name... Babanila, Lord..... and Twostep.... Much love people

Guys , nothing has changed..... If you have the intention of coming to Germany, do so at ALL 'COSTS'.
As much as some of what Herr schwarz posted is true, it doesn't apply to me and people in my immediate circus. Life is always tough in a foreign land,so some of those things applies to US, UK CADDY etc.
Considering the situation of things, Germany is still an infinitely better choice than the UK and CANADA. (My opinion)

All thanks to God, Munich, eke40seven, seunstein and God again, I don't have to worry about bills, residence permit or anything.

If I'm to point to a major disadvantage here, it is their overly intensive education, which is a far cry from that of the UK /US.

Like eke pointed out, try to go to a major city like Munich/Berlin where you get longer rp and jobs are in abundance.
All in all , na God get power.
If some people regret coming to Germany, it's their opinion..... As for me I don't .... And I'll make the choice a thousand times over

Well the fact that uv not hrd shldnt make u conclude it doesn't exist because I was also surprised when my uni requested for the original jamb result certificate when I had the result printout, I had to go to jamb office to get it then. It's like a breakdown of your jamb scores just like how there is a waec print out and the original certificate. I guess some schools are fine with the normal printout so folks might not be aware of it. But it was a requirement for enrollment in my school then

There is nothing like JAMB CERTIFICATE. What your school requested for is the so CALLED " JAMB ORIGINAL RESULT SLIP " which can look fancy especially when printed in coloured, with your passport showing and whatnot.

UME is what it is, an entrance examination, and not an educational qualification /training , it's validity is limited, and cannot be used after a certain period, like most examinations/test like GRE, IELTS etc.

Your English language ability is poor. Kindly improve.
The level of phonological interference in your use of English is alarming. You repeatedly used "his" in place of "is", I could not bear that one. If you continue like this, Nigeria will completely be regarded as a non english speaking country. TOEfl and ielts go dey fat on top d austerity measures wey we country dey.

Let's just agree that you were trying to be comical, like the last sentence above.

Go to high court in Abuja or the German Embassy. Know that the German Embassy will charge a fee. High court in Enugu charge 30 naira per page. I don't know how much Abuja court will charge, you know every thing in abuja is Expensive, so budget 50-100 per page.

For authentication and/or Legalisation, I advise you use the dictionary first, when that fails, I will write you an essay on the duo.

Please I have dropped this piece of advice with all humility and no disrespect, but in love and protection of our common integrity as members of an English speaking country.

A lot of us can pay to learn German, but not willing to make any extra effort to have mastery of English language. After secondary school, english language is stale news.

Me I dey find centre wey dey teach english, I wan unlearn, learn and relearn. I wan speak pass Baba wole soyinka.lol

It may not be entirely true that it was due to the advanced Transport Network. In order to save myself the disgrace of constructing a poor sentence to mimic their announcements i will ´leave that aside. However, if you listen very well, you will understand that you actually got lost because you didnt understand a thing that was announced in the train.
Let me give you my latest language mumu Display of last week depsite that i even grab many words here and there. A route i follow quite well was to be repeated again, not knowing that there is a slightly different arrangement the early morning train i took it. Na so i Balance two legs for train for my journey from Fröttmanig to sendlinger Tor, at Münchner Freiheit, something i had a poor grasp of was spoken very fast over the Train, i still balance like say na me buy the Train, until every Soul in my own couch left. To me, it was good riddance because i didnt have to deal with the reeking breath from the residue of their midnight beer drinking escapades, not knowing the joke was on me until the train took me to a tight dark tunnel and parked (it was an Underground train by the way) and that was it. them don park train and i didnt know when it was going to move again, faced with the reality that i could sleep there for hours in a place where the air was in short supply, na so sweat grip me. five minutes later, the train conductor, in his attempt to changed the direction of the train saw me and told me to be calm.
No worry, you just land, you never see anything. at least for now, i'm sure you didnt bother reading the letters DB and AOK sent to you for obvious reasons.

I live in Munich and I dare say German is only important for economic reasons (like getting a job)
I've not met a munchner that can't speak English, and their English is pretty good too.
At the foreigners office, you'll be asked if you speak English or German. Almost all, the docs here can speak English . Train signs and announcements are translated into English.

Maybe my experience, but as Williamso rightly pointed out, it depends on the city

Learning the language is important, but life can still be relatively easy without it in the big cities
