Adiahabasi: Only thing I know about Halifax is that rents starts counting from the 1st of the month regardless of when you move in. So it'll be good to land close to the end of the month, sort accommodation and move in 1st week of the new month.I have a colleague there, says its really beautiful, calm and not so expensive. Thank you very much |

Pholy: hmmm ok . will review. will give feedback. thanks Canada allows family application. I recently applied with my wife via paper application. I prefer paper application but the major problem is that it might take up to 70 days and you would have to drop your passport with them while for online ,your passport is with you. If you have any questions let me know |
Travel › Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Cala: 8:44pm On May 10, 2016 |
iammartinzo: Does any of the msg state that your TRV has been approved? They do not send approval messages for visit visa. If it's online, they would send passport request. It's obvious this is a paper application so she should just go pick up the passport tomorrow from vfs. |

Goziehits: Thank you Cala. As maternal pointed out, I think its possible to change to work permit where one is made an offer of employment. It will be suspicious to go with your options on my first visit. One have to be really careful. As I said before , you need a lawyer that knows about it to be able to do it. Canada is flexible so it can be done. I have visited Canada 3 times so I know what am saying. However you have to be very desperate to take my advise. If not just be patient and follow the express entry route so you can have rest of mind. |

Goziehits: Hi everyone. I will be visiting Calgary for a week-long conference (in June) and I will be very happy to meet some helpful people. I have lived in Denmark for over two years (currently living there on post-masters residence permit), I have also visited the UK and the US (still have a valid visa) in the past.
As I am interested in settling in Canada because I have a greater chance of finding a job in my field (Geology) or related, I will need some help on possible ways of making this possible (legally). I am aware of the federal skilled immigration program and I am working on it; will be sitting for IELTS and I have already had my Degrees (Bachelor and Masters) accessed by WES. However, I want to consider other options. I have a valid 2 years Canadian TRV that expires next year.
Thank you in advance! I've heard of people that were able to change to work permit in Canada from visit visa. You need a good lawyer to be able to do that. Another option is to marry a Canadian citizen. Those are the only options I know. |

cannyfxtransfer: Please throw more light on this, wanna regularize mine. My brother is a citizen. The fastest way is to marry a citizen if you're still single. You can also talk to a good lawyer to help you get a work permit. These are the only 2 ways I know. |

kdf3449: Hello People,
Please i need professional advice on how to approach my travel plans. I have been working here in Dubai for almost 2years now and i just got married December 2015,I have traveled to South Africa, Kenya, Turkey ( twice ), Italy and Spain, all these visas i got from here in Dubai with no stress. I wish to take my wife on a trip to Canada but because she hasn't gotten her residence here, she can't apply from here with me so i am planning on coming back to Nigeria to apply there with her. I would like to know if i can use my statement of account here to apply over there in Nigeria because i don't have a salary account there in Nigeria. I also wish to know how long the visa processing time takes because I can't be away from work for too long as my company must issue me a late stating the period am going off work.( it takes just 14 days over here )
Please i will appreciate if i can get advice on my plans.
Thanks Because your wife is applying then both of you have to apply online from Nigeria, do your biometrics and go back to dubai. I believe you can use your dubai statement. You just have to put uae as your country of residence. When they send you an approval mail, you would have to come back to Nigeria to submit your passports for visa. You have 30 days to submit your passport after you receive the approval mail. This is just my thinking |

shamecurls: Hello House,
. Myself, wife and kid plan to visit Canada and my Son is a US citizen. Do i include him in my application as he has entry to Canada being an American or i just keep him out of the application. If am too include him, Do i pay a visa fee also?
Thanks He doesn't need a visa so you don't have to pay for him. Just include him in the application as part of those traveling and from the family form, they would see he's an American citizen. |
