What visa ? Do you have PPR already?

Yes @Hamiltondreamer, after PPR, how long will it take for the passport to be returned. Also, should I use DHL or VFS? they requested for IMM 008 too.

Thank you

Let me first of all congratulate you for receiving this letter, they deny people with such a case most times. You have a chance. Have you paid your full school fee? This letter didn't mentioned anything about your course of study or did I miss that? You need to draft a comprehensive response explaining what happened at your visa interview at US embassy in details without telling any lie. State the reason they refused you a visa and your quest to still study outside Nigeria. Don't rush to respond, take your time, you have 15 days. All the best.

@Oluwamalik, As mentioned earlier, start putting together your response, you might also want someone else to read it for you to ensure its well explanatory.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by calalili2018: 1:43pm On Jan 11, 2017
@ thesoj, Why are you talking as if you have never lied before under any circumstance? Even those he lied to, knowing fully well that he lied are still giving him an opportunity to explain, rather than just deny him. Thank God you are not the VO. If you are not experienced in this area, just say you are not instead of this response and if you are and don't want to provide any assistant, just keep mute. I know you on this thread to be very respectful, responsive and helpful, please don't spoil the record.

thesoj:
You lied to the embassy about your prior visa refusals and yet you feel entitled to a fast response. Keep in mind that no one here is being paid to render you any services. It is all voluntary.

I suggest you consider also helping others on here as well, since you authoritatively demand free help as though it is your right. Best of luck.

Hello house and happy new year.
Please this is what I got from CIC Accra this morning and I need your professional advice.

Though, I applied to USA then as an engineer with an agent to attend a training but I applied to Canada as an accountant. Pls what are my chances?

I have reviewed your application and documents you submitted in its support. Subsection 11(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act provides that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or any other document required by the Regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act.

I have concerns that you have not fulfilled the requirement put upon you by section 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, which states:

16(1) A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires.

On the current application form, you indicate that you have never been refused any kind of visa, admission, or been ordered to leave Canada or any other country. According to information in our records, you were refused a visa to the United States in 2014 and 2015.

Please note that if it is found that you have engaged in misrepresentation in submitting your application, you may be found to be inadmissible under section 40(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. A finding of such inadmissibility would render you inadmissible to Canada for a period of five years according to section 40(2)(a):

40(1) A permanent resident or a foreign national is inadmissible for misrepresentation (a) for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this Act

40(2) The following provisions govern subsection (1): (a) the permanent resident or the foreign national continues to be inadmissible for misrepresentation for a period of five years following, in the case of a determination outside Canada, a final determination of inadmissibility under subsection (1) or, in the case of determination in Canada, the date the removal order is enforced.

I would like to give you an opportunity to respond to this information. I will afford you fifteen (15) days from the date of this letter to make any representations in this regard. Please use the address noted on this letter for all correspondence, and clearly indicate your file number. If you do not respond to this request within the time outlined above, your application will be assessed based on the information available, which will likely result in a refusal.

Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada.

If you are not married yet, don't mention it. Let somebody else invite you.

Goodluck!

Fortissimo502:
Hi everyone. I hail o. Make i join una for here. Will be submitting my TRV app soon for tourism and to visit my fiancée in Canada.

But I've been seeing online that getting TRV to visit fiance/fiancee/spouse is quite difficult because the VOs may feel that I won't leave Canada at the end of my visit. Nawa ooo.

I have other friends in Canada that can send me an IV letter and I can even just apply strictly for tourism, but I feel it may appear deceitful not to mention that I have a fiancée in Canada. I'm going to end up still visiting her anyways!

So, I don't want to get denied, but at the same time I don't want to inadvertently do anything that might jeopardize the spousal PR application in the future.

Any thoughts? It's well oooo.

@calalili2018. I applied for permanent resident permit last year but it was taking so long and we needed to see each other so we put in for visiting visa thinking I can use that to bridge the gap. Along the line the outcome of the PR wasn't favourable and we are presently on appeal (all this were stated in my application oh.) Anyway me.I am not taking anything short of goodnews in Jesus name. And as for that person that said they don't give spousal visa again. I am not aware of that and my case is different! They will bend rule for me. Goodluck in Jesus name

I mailed them again, they gave the same response of "its on queue for processing" I haven't seen this kinda of Visa processing before in my entire life.

@calalili2018. Yes. Any reason for asking? I mailed them 2 days ago they replied... your file is on queue for.processing...lol. Whenever is coming it must be a good news in Jesus name. #fingercrossed# #sighhhhhhh
My conclusion.....God is too faithful to fail

I mailed them 2 weeks ago they said the same thing. Did you apply for visiting or Spousal open work permit? Someone on the other Canadian forum said they have stopped given visas to spouses. I was just wondering why, at least they should respond rather than just keeping quite.

See, i am just gonna advise you based on my experience and that of a friend.

First, i won't advise you guys to apply for Visiting Visa because it seems they hardly (if they have not totally stopped) give Visiting visa to someone with a spouse in Canada.

It is a bit late as someone rightly said. However, i believe you should still put in the application for SOWP since you still have atleast 6 months on your study permit. This is because you need to get a job in Skill Level O, A or B with your PGWP which is the requirement to grant SOWP : A job in skill level O, A or B

Nevertheless, if you are sure you will get a job in level O, A or B, then you can wait till you get your PGWP before you apply for SOWP.

Why would they not want to give a spouse visiting visa? what if the spouse is not ready for open work permit? just want to visit and go back. I dont think this is correct

Hello House, Please what do I do? I applied online since May but no response until now. I have sent endless emails and case specific enquiry to no avail, please what do I do? I think everybody that applied in May got their response already.

Thank you for your response.
