Alondrah:
Hasty generalization from a myopic point of view. Even men ladies struggle with disrespect them too, Stop preaching mediocrity. A man will treat a lady whichever way he deemed fit irrespective of his financial status.

Op, learn to use the word"some" ,, there are still some divorced, ready-made men who treat their women right. smiley
Thank you for speaking my mind

Let the POSITIVE CRITICISMS begin
Literature / Re: SCARLET:A Monologue(constructive Criticisms Are Welcome) by CallMeBIRA(f): 2:10pm On Apr 27, 2017
SCENE 3 Simi clutches her stomach wishing she never tried to find a solution to the pregnancy. Simi(terrified): I have sent the precious gift back to the stranger that gave it to me because I did not think of it as a gift but as a terrible burden. I did not want it and of that,I was certain but little did I know that I would be punished severely. Well,if this would make mother stop her trade, then, the sacrifice is worth it. Lewa walks in with her shoulder raised high only to find Simi writhing in pain. Simi goes stiff upon sighting her and she tries to revive Simi all to no avail while tears flow down her face. Lewa(devastated):When God takes away our loved ones,we question the wisdom of His love for no heartache compares to the death of ones child. I am however consoled with the fact that He has picked the rosebud in my household to become an angel under His care.
Literature / Re: SCARLET:A Monologue(constructive Criticisms Are Welcome) by CallMeBIRA(f): 1:49pm On Apr 27, 2017
SCENE 2 The scene opens with Lewa adorned in a strapless dress and an enormous neck piece with matching earrings. The place is one spot short of elegance and sophistication. Lewa(sarcastically): Who are you? I mean you,who do you think you are to point fingers? Yeah,I know the society frowns against prostitution but does the society make provisions for widows? Think about it,it is either we sell our bodies or do jobs that barely fetch money to keep us alive. Well,as for me,selling my body is what pays the bills around here and if I had to choose all over again,I would rather be a Mrs Warren than a Mother Theresa.
Literature / SCARLET:A Monologue(constructive Criticisms Are Welcome) by CallMeBIRA(f): 1:27pm On Apr 27, 2017
ACT 1,SCENE 1 Scene opens with Simi sparsely dressed with her legs spread in a non challant way as tears continue to stream down her face. The setting is a tastefully furnished room which oozes with gloom. Simi(disconsolate):Life is not a bed of roses,I never seemed to understand.I thought it was just some weird cliche that never made sense(tears roll down her cheeks). Oh! How he forced his way in between my legs, the pain and yet mother thought I was safe with him(wipes her cheeks). Here I am pregnant,a pregnant fourteen year old. I wish mother never started her trade. Since its inception, all I have gotten from neighbours are catcalls and insults and then Chizaram had the guts to confront me that my mother is sleeping with other women's men.

Those books were the best, man! I learnt reading with Ralia, the sugar girl. Then after, I read every book I came across. I read the Dark Child by C. M Laye in primary school. King Solomon's Mines is one book I'll never forget. If there is anyway I'd get it, someone, please, tell me.

But all sha, I thank my mom. God bless her. She showed me all. Btw, I'm just 19. Not everyone of this generation isn't sound.

Culture / Re: Women Want To Be Men, We Can’t Be Equal – Ooni Of Ife’s Wife by CallMeBIRA(f): 4:04pm On Jun 20, 2016
Ifebazz:

You see the hypocrisy in this feminist agenda ba? Female Engineers are not allow to work at sites, now is it segregation or for their own safety or consideration on part of male? How many women would like to climb masts? How many would want to work all night save for nurses whose jobs are subtle in a way? How many would prefer to confront Boko Haram brothers in Sambisa? How many would prefer sailing as a job? How many would like to be pilots? How many would be masons? How many would like to be full-time politicians? How many would like to be heavy duty drivers? How many female policemen would like to be on the check points looking out for armed robbers? How many feminists would feel safe with a female bodyguard and security outfits? How many would like to do deep sea diving as a profession? How many would prefer paying the groom price? How many feminists would even pay for an outing with a guy?
You know, it's very easy to sit behind your computer system and tell the world how civilized you are, in reality, you know how foolish it sounds. If your mum really was a feminist, you all would be kids with mums and no dads or one of those babies from 'baby mamas'.
We don't need to wait, it is already happening. The rate of divorces in Nigeria is growing geometrically. Keep it up. Future generation girls will only be vessels for babies, not wives. Many ladies deceive themselves that life not about marriage alone, they cry to sleep every night while the so called naive ones have a great family and a loving or not-so-loving husband to return to.
Do you think the overcivilized western world are happier than Africans? If they are, how come the suicide rate there is like 10 times that here? They have everything we yearn for, right? But are they happier? Their women throw their men out of the man's house at the slightest provocation, yet, the women still fight for the man to be the care giver for her and the kids, even when she's remarried. You think she's happy?
Abeg all you men haters should just repent of your wayward ways and come back to the light of truth.
And who said women can't do all those things you listed if given the opportunity?I'd suggest you read up on the snow snail feminism theory propounded by Akachi Ezeigbo Adimora.
Culture / Re: Women Want To Be Men, We Can’t Be Equal – Ooni Of Ife’s Wife by CallMeBIRA(f): 10:23am On Jun 19, 2016
Ifebazz:

In a previous thread bordering around this same topic, I asked a simple question that the feminists and overcivilized men are yet to answer me. What careers do men have undue advantage over women just because they're women? Name just ONE.
You concluded very well, you have to update yourself to be at par with me to vie for same opportunities. That is what the lazy feminists are always intentionally overlooking.
It depends on the aspect of feminism you are looking at,women engineers are not allowed to work at sites because they lack the 'strength' to do so,I'd suggest snail sense feminism rather than radical feminism

Nice speech but I feel the bill should focus on giving equal opportunities as men in any field of study and employers should stop trying to get into the pants of ladies before giving them jobs and ladies, please before you talk abt equality you have to build yourself up adequately, thank you.

What nonsense talk is this?

A girl who isn't a virgin doesn't deserve a husband.

A women who was disflowered out of wedlock needs to be chased out of a man's house in shame.

Let's pick it from that angle.
And what would happen to the boy/man that deflowered her?

A man can comfortably sleep around but a woman can't without shame.A man can sit in one place and count them as they pass but a woman can't -
It's a man's world -David,Solomon and others in the bible!
Stop this fallacy, would you?If you feel it's a man's world,it's fine but do not generalize it coz not every woman wants to be subjugated under the so called 'rule of men',thank you.

Romance / Re: 8 Ways Guys Frustrate The Life Of Ladies With Small Bosom & Butt by CallMeBIRA(f): 10:38pm On Dec 03, 2015
Decker:
To frustrate means to cause someone to feel upset and annoyed as a result of not being able to change or achieve something.

Going by the definition above, I am of the opinion that a woman who knows her worth and what she carries inside of her, despite not having big boobs or a big ass, would never be able to be frustrated by anyone.

Having big boobs and big asses isn't all there is to a woman. A woman is more than all that. There are more important qualities that make a woman attractive and admirable, and unlike boobs and asses, these qualities never fade away.

Those boobs will dry up like leaves with time, and that ass will turn repulsive as she grows older. But the things that make a woman really attractive, like her personality, her intelligence, how she relates with people and her good character, will always remain with her.

So, no one can frustrate a woman who, even though she doesn't have big boobs and a large ass, she is okay with how she looks, and understands that what she has inside of her, is better than all that superficiality.
