She is a reasonable gal who knew what is good and bad. She did more good than bad. I am writing this after my visit to London Trafalgar in pouring rain this evening, 13 April, 2013. There were placards cursing her for inflicting painful defeat on Mine workers union, the print Union, the steel union, selling council flats (which ironically enriched our Nigerian brothers and sisters wjho were legally in UK) etc. I was saddened because she did more for Africa than the Americans did, quietly, without any fanfare. Our South Eastern brothers in Nigeria have borne their defeat with dignity for the past 43 years. They should learn from the Igbos how to behave in defeat. The title of this post is very misleading to say the least. The title should rather be 'Buhari to deliver a speech at the House of Commons committee room' Anyone can book a room at the house of commons, and invite anyone to come a deliver a speech. Although it is easier and cheaper if a Member of Parliament books it. Addressing the British Parliament is a formal affair and honour which is accorded to visiting Heads of State, such as Prez. What are the FACTS here. Two Suspects have pleaded GUILTY. Two more were only accessories to the count of murder. The trial will continue, despite the two pleaded guilt. The other two have to be tried as well. The prosecutors will amend their charges relating to the famous drug peddlers. Until the famous drug peddlers are acquitted or discharged of the charges, the guilty two may not be sentenced to hang. Do we want them to hang as the Laws of the federal republic stipulates? GEJ should probably pardon them. However, they may be lynched on release. Either way, pray for them and the family of the departed.

I have tracked GEJ, OBJ and their entourages in London in the past week. I was at the Grosvenor House Hotel with them on Friday Night. They were both interviewed at length by Attias and Peter Mandelson on stage respectively. I can authoritatively inform you all that GEJ stated that he is worried about youth employment and empowerment in Nigeria. Him and OBJ were fraternising like colleagues and close friends. They were heaping praise and goodwill on each other. OBJ and GEJ are definitely not at war. I also spoke to their people. GEJ has not been to Harley Street yet. No Medic from the street has visited his Hotel either. On Friday night, there was fund raising for OBJ Foundation. They raised millions from Oyibo. Meanwhile, GEJ was attracting FDI into Nigeria. Saharareporters are self serving. Please expose crooks in the corridors of power and malfeasance by officials, but not endless negative speculation that drives away FDI to our beloved Nigeria. Nigeria is a byword for receiving goods and services by deception. How did we get to this position? The country has been hobbled by this crass reputation which the practitioners wallow in. Nigeria is a state in transition. The Nigerian 'Judiciary' will mature with time. The current state is corrupt because the stakeholders are immune to public, moral and populist cry for justice. We can use the epithet '419 Judiciary' to qualify all of them. I am disappointed in GEJ. The three pillars of a just society has always been Justice, Economy, Education. GEJ has taken his eyes of the ball. His reforms should embrace enacting the necessary legislation to bring Nigeria to world class. There are daily extra judicial killings across the Country, at a bigger scale than Boko Haram could muster. There are endemic corruption at the customary, magistrate and High Courts in all jurisdiction in the country. Yet everyone is enthused by the latest revenue sharing allocation. Until the executives and the legislators decide to save this country, we will continue to be the laughing stock of the world. Because we deserve to be. Let this forum start an online petition to GEJ and David Mark / Tambuwal to do something.
