God1000: Its not easy when it comes to public speaking, stage fright is hard to overcome, but the 44th American president is known for his oratory skills, he's so charming and eloquent.
I've watched so many of his speeches, I listened to him speaking when he was president as well. Donald trump is the worst, I came across a video of him trying to pronounce "anonymous" several times and he couldn't, he has primary one kid vocabulary. Buhari is also a terrible speaker. Do you know any other charismatic person that speaks so well like Barack Obama?
Please help me do the needful Myn44 Lalasticlala I second this, Obama is very good with words, he has a way that exhibit good mannerism, calmness in his speech. Here is an excerpt from his farewell speech as President when he was thanking Biden “ To Joe Biden, the scrappy kid from Scranton who became Delaware Favourite Son. You're the first decision I made as a nominee and it was the best, not just because you have been a great vice president but in the bargain, I gained a Brother. We love you and Gill as family and your friendship have been one of the great joy of our life”. P.S He said all these and lot more amidst cheering and others. Love him or hate him, Dude is an enigma. |

[quote author=abnot post=107269676]If the airport got certified as they claim they should post a scanned copy of the certification for us to see. Bayelsa airport was completed by Seriake dickson. An airpeace flight conveying the CEO, ben bruce and some other dignitaries got approval to land at the airport in 2019 . Seriake dickson also landed at the airport in a chartered aircraft a number of times. But NCAA did not certify the airport for commercial operations till just a few months ago (2 years later). One of the issues NCAA raised was the perimeter fencing around the water not meeting their security specification. Commercial flights (united nigeria airline) began operations only about 2 months ago. There was no dragging of NCAA. Today same air peace has stopped operating into Makurdi after a short stint following airport certification issues. RCCG recently sold its helicopter after issues with NCAA. Air peace plan to launch its route to London has been pending with NCAA for 3 years (the CEO himself mentioned that). After the medview ban NCAA seems to have introduced their own processes before allowing a nigerian registered airline to apply for EASA Third country Operator (TCO) .
Air peace is suffering from owner-manager syndrome where the owner (allen onyema) is making decisions that a professional airline manager will not do. The decision to sell tickets with the assumption that NCAA will approve the October 30 flight was most likely the doing of allen onyema and willie obiano for political reasons. No professional run airline will rush to start operations into a new airport. After the replacment of Enugu airport runway ethiopian airline announced resumption date and moved it a few times citing security and other issues. Today ethiopian has resumed operations there after a number of back and forth .
I'll like to also add that when airpeace bought three jets from embraer this 2021 they went through a lot of regulatory tests before putting the aircrafts into commercial use. Before scaling through the regulatory hurdles they still flew empty to a number of airports to simulate their operations as a company before the demonstration flights with NCAA begun. It was after this they launched commercial operations on the new aircraft. Aircrafts are not Cars. Same way Airports are not motor parks. [/quote |

This your Obi hate is becoming stale and annoying, no doubt Obiano performed wonderfully well but berating Obi here won't be sellable to any true igboman. I was a student in Anambra during Obi two tenures, I saw first hand what he did especially to the educational sector. Even Obiano consolidated on Obi blueprint for most of his works and projects. The main question you ought to ask yourself is why are they all bearing only igbo middle name instead of that of the yoruba or even yoruba and igbo native name altogether, or you wanna tell us that a yoruba man will allow an igbo woman to give his children only igbo native name. Also the one left in Nigeria answers Ofili instead of the correct spelt Adetonkumbo. Giannis only connection to yoruba is that Greek name you guys claimed to be a mispelt yoruba name. I seriously doubt if the dude is yoruba self, I watched one of his interviews where he said he understands igbo but speaks small. |
Business › Re: Herbert Wigwe Is Second Time African Banker Of The Year by cally10(m): 11:23am On Jun 28, 2021 |
milann: The Group Managing Director/CEO of Access Bank PLC Herbert Wigwe has been recognised as the African Banker of the Year at the 2021 edition of the African Banker Awards.
A winner of one of the most prized categories at the Awards ceremony for the second consecutive year, Wigwe was recognised for his stellar leadership in the market expansion of Sub-Saharan Africa’s largest bank despite the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the last 12 months, Access Bank has established a presence in South Africa following its acquisition of Grobank.
Accepting the award, Wigwe said Access Bank is focused on promoting corporate discipline, adding that the Bank wants to be in key markets on the continent, building a payment gateway and providing trade finance support.
“We want to be seen as the best bank supporting the African Continental Free Trade Area agreement (AfCFTA). In terms of diaspora remittances, we are present in key areas in the continent,” he said.
The African Banker Awards have become the most respected and recognised industry event celebrating African banking achievements. The organisers this year, put emphasis on recognising and rewarding institutions that contributed to the real economy which has suffered from the impact of Covid-19 as well as contributed to women empowerment on the continent.
Commenting on the award, Group Publisher of African Banker and Chair of the Awards Committee, Omar Ben Yedder said, “Herbert is one of the most respected bankers on the continent, without a shadow of a doubt. The Bank has gone from a lower ranked Nigerian bank when he joined the group as Deputy CEO to become one of Africa’s leading financial services groups. He has shown a relentless pursuit for growth, but has done so in a measured and calculated manner. What he and his team have done at Access Bank is nothing short of remarkable.”
The Awards ceremony held virtually during the Annual meetings of the African Development Bank.
