I am also using my NYSC experience, this may help. I culled it from a friend’s NYSC reference letter(she got her PR, if it helps)

Corp members are paid a monthly salary of 19,800.00 naira by NYSC, which JohnDoe received for the period of March 2095 – February 2096.

This was added at the end of my letter just under my job duties. I feel it would make the application more credible as the salary account statements reference “NYSC” as @dumprep pointed out

cc @dumprep

Wow! This is really helpful. Thanks alot

No, the payments in my bank statement reflected the allowee from the Government. My PPA also paid me in cash and I have no evidence of this, i have no pay slips or anything. I intend to write an LOE explaining this.

OK. Thanks a lot. Just came from my PPA and met with the proprietress. So I will be getting reference for 10months indicating I was paid in cash.
Never thought of adding my NYSC. Just imagine?

In Nairaland, yes there was someone who did 2 papers and got evaluated as one semester and there were another case in a separate platform that I came across where someone has said that although he has done all the 3 papers he got the same evaluation as one semester and he wrote to WES to change it. I ll share the outcome once I know it in the coming week.

Please I've sent you a PM for the group. Can you please share the link to the post where someone who did all F1-F3 was assessed as 1 semester?

Good morning good people,

Please I need some help. I am currently in the Post-ITA stage and intend to submit my application this week.

I used my NYSC work experience but I did not specify anything "NYSC" in my reference letter. I printed my bank statement to show that I was paid during the work period and I noticed that for each month I was paid, the remarks for that transaction was "NYSC Allowance for April 2011....".

Does this matter much? Will this affect anything? Do I need to write an LOE?

Please assist. Thanks.

Please did you also submit payment documents from your PPA? Because I have the allowee statement from Government but none from PPA because I was paid cash

Good morning fam, please I want to go on my knees so you all can pray for me to think straight.

I have 9months NYSC experience as a secondary subject teacher. The school was a local private school. School paid me 15k cash so no bank statements except for payments from Government. I still have my original posting letter. I can get reference letter from the school and a copy of my request and acceptance letters. Will it be wise to claim points for this role?

I also have 3months experience as a Sure-p intern. I have all documents signed from sure-p and employer. I have the training certificate from sure-p. I also have Bank statements from ministry of finance for the duration. But again I was paid 10k cash by my employer as monthly stipend and my duties was that of HR. I will try to get a reference letter from them. Again will it be wise to claim points for this role?

I also have another 6months experience as marketing executive. I have employment letter, I have another letter stating all my job descriptions and work hours, and Bank statement for the duration. I don't know if I can get a reference because the company has folded up. But I'll try. Will it be wise to claim points for this role?

Adding these previous jobs will give me up to 3 years experience and will shoot my crs score to BTW 460-470 (with two or more certificates).

I have been calculating my points with just 1year+ experience and ignored previous roles because of the must be in one NOC and continuous clause and also the fact that they were small jobs I earned cash for but yesterday, I decided to look back.

Hello House,

I am here with a proposal to connect everyone in the 400-437 who are looking forward to get their education evaluation to two or more degrees through ACCA & CIMA. Do you guys think we can open up a different thread to connect all of us to be on the same page on the topic? or we can stay in this group and discuss in the midst of all the topic?

Anyway, if anyone of you reading this is taking ACCA this month, pls raise your hand. we are looking forward to your feedback from here on cool

Please I'm in. Maybe we should pm you so you could add us instead of having scattered discussions all over the thread. On the other hand, we will have to update the thread on our findings and outcomes in order to help persons who may be in the same situation in future.

I guess all depends on the actual equivalence which the people in this forum will receive after completion of F1-F3, and not what I believe or not wink

We still have an unsolved part of the puzzle which is to know whether the people who got one semester equivalence has done this Foundations in Professionalism module (FiP) or not. Hope we can reach at the root of this issue soon.

We really need to get to the root of this. Please anyone who took all 3 papers with professional module assessed by WES as 1 semester?

Hi Kasspy, you cannot apply as single when you’re married, that’s misrepresentation and will earn you a five year ban. My advise is spouse should sit for IELTS again since you really want to be with your family.

Applying with unaccompanying spouse will get you a CRS score like you’re single but you still have to provide POF, PCC and medicals for the entire family.

Hope this helps. Cheers

Yes you can apply as unaccompanying spouse BUT be ready to stay without her for about 1yr.

He can apply with unaccompanying spouse and sponsor her later(which will take about 1yr after he arrives Ca). It's legal and persons have done it. You are asked 'if' so you can fill Yes or No.
For a post I read, he said they asked him why she was not accompanying and he said it reduced their scores so they decided to go separate. He was issued.

No. I shouldn't have been this adventurous; Sorry for the inconvenience the statement would have cost you or other readers. All I wanted to say was that it is easier for a self-employed applicant with employees (fair number) to prove his/her case unlike a one man business. That said, a single person business can still land someone PR. However, more work is needed to prove the business model to the interviewer. Once everything checks out fine, the case will be won.

Once again, sorry about that.

Please don't stress yourself about it. I'm fine.

It has never been easy for self-employed persons to get PR (Unless your company has over 10 employees).

Please any proof for the above?

On behalf of my wife, with 33 months work experience as an admin assistant plus 1 year Nysc that's 3years 8months work experience right, so with this what's the least score she can get in English exam to be able to qualify for PR. By the way she can read and write french as well, married with kids, 35years. Currently studying/working(customer service) in Canada masters student. What's her chances? Where should we start from. I think she stand a better chance than me because I have just few months of experience. Advice please.

Please this is over qualification now.
3years experience+ TEF + IELTS + Masters + Canada Masters.
She should start taking her language tests, get her employment references and evaluate her documents.

Thanks @Rijo02.

Well, I just got the GCMS Notes today so I am trying to find out much I can about interviews in ACCRA. According to the Notes, I have been placed on a batch and slot for interview in ACCRA. My LVO is LONDON and from the officers comments they need clarification on my business as I am self-employed. But no idea when I will be invited.
Ghost update I got on 25th April was in respect of this I guess.

I submitted CAC registration papers, letters for awards of contract, photocopies of cheques for payment of jobs done, copy receipts issued by my company, reference letter from clients. Apart from major contract done, my day to day work in a cafe is paid in cash. The mistake I think I made was not putting it in LOE. That, I believe would have cleared something (maybe not). Again I used my sister as partner when I registered my business (her details), so I got her to sign a reference letter using my company's letterhead (Officer's note pointed this out, that my sister was the 'signee'). I had 4 reference letters(they only singled out that undecided). No Tax CC was included. Although I have it now (was hoping to get an ADR for it). Didn't add company's statement of account (used it for only contract jobs).

The review required was from officer in CPC Ottawa and confirmed by another in London. They even commented that they I don't have online presence but my companies initial name which I use - AAAAAAAAAAA is online having the address 1 Canada Street and I later registered the biz with name BBBBBBBBBB (used for employment points (3 and above)) having same address 1 Canada Street. (Grey Area)

These guys are working though, from the notes I think over 6 officers have done one assessment or the other on my file. Its been almost 8 months since my AOR. But I just wonder how those that got PPR in 3 weeks had such luck.

I think if you have tax documents for the period you claimed and Bank statements showing transactions of the clients who gave you reference letters, you'll be fine.

I'm using self employment too. I intend to submit;

My CAC documents
Tax documents
Client references
Company Bank statements showing client transactions
Invoice issued clients and receipts
Invoice from vendors I procure from(Transaction reflects on my bank statement too)
Letter from my workers (Payments reflects on my company's statement too)....

Please am I safe? Reading your post is making me scared

@mcstan18, I think you should have stated one semester evaluation in that enquiry you made to WES instead of one year. If that was the case, and we got that response, it would have been fine.

Perfect analysis. Who's going to bell the cat?

I called Wes just now regarding the ACCA stuff. After getting off the hold, He said he can't really give a definite feedback. That I'll have to send the credentials for evaluation. I explained to him about someone having F1-F3 as 1year and another as 1semester. His response was that various factors could have resulted in that. So he can't really assure me of anything.

Now I want to write the ielts exam in July,i stay around Ikeja-Bega axis in Lagos, please I need a reading partner and people should also give me tips on how to pass the exams becos it is pretty much expensive now, I think it is 75k.
My qualifications are One, Bsc and most recently Aca.I have about 5years work experience post Bsc.
please I need your advice on how to get started.

OK. Calculate your crs score.

Kindly read and digest the Certificate program section, it might clear your doubts. Meanwhile I wish you the very best in all your exams. Good success.

Thank you. This is helpful. But I'm still not sure if 1 semester evaluation can be used to claim points for 2 or more certificates.
