Igethope: Good day my ppl,
I Wes evaluated your 4 bachelors degree and 1 year diploma and the summary says CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY Bachelor's degree (four years)
1.Can u still claim two or more certificate?
2 if you eventually get ITA and CIC says is not acceptable but a new ECA IS ready can that be accepted POST ITA Or you have to go back to pool ?
3. Should the ITA be rejected instead till new ECA is ready in JANUARY? You can proceed if you wish. You will not be banned as you never falsified any information. If your report says 1 year Diploma, claim 1 year study at a University in your ee profile and then fill you BSC separately and claim points for that. Attach LOE stating Diploma is on page x and Bsc is on page y. If you are not comfortable with this and your score is very high, you can decline in January and do what makes you feel okay. I will advise that you do not decline yet because you might never know what surprises January holds. |

U once said hrdc doesn't give transcript for diplomas Hi, I can't remember telling anyone that there are no *Transcripts* for diplomas.... About asking people, maybe you should do so before registering..... CES, ICES have favourably evaluated *Advanced Diploma* and I am almost certain ICES won't give same outcome for an ordinary diploma..... Unless you will like to pioneer the Diploma... If I may ask, why go for the Diploma which is still 9 months when you can do the Advanced Diploma in peace? Like I said, it's an advice. The ball is in your court. |

Vincad: @CanadaPR I'm considering going the Unilag HRDC route, I already applied for a master's at UI but the programme is expected to start by March next year and it is for 18 months and I hope to be in Canada by 2021. That's why I'm looking for a faster way.
The thing is I want to apply for Diploma in French Language Proficiency instead of the Advanced Diploma in Business Administration because I still plan to write TEF and I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone.
Do you know if the French diploma will be evaluated positively by ICES, or is it only the advaced diplomas? Hi, I sincerely do not have any information about the French Diploma nor do I know of anyone who have assessed it. So I cannot give any advice regarding the program. You may want to visit HRDC to make enquiries about it. Also note that you have to be very fast in making your decisions as Admissions for this session may close this week. |

Please what’s the best way to go about this? You can use your 2 years 7 months as your primary NOC but make sure you add your previous job to make the 3 years. It doesn't matter if your previous role was in a different NOC what is required is that both NOCs are under 0, A, or B. |

Ihotukum1: For my ITA if I print statement from July to sept I have a 16 days short fall in pof from august 22 to 9/Sept, if I decide to wait to print sept to October it will be October 19 back wards will still have the days in sept and August in the statement to make it three months. If I explain with proof of my sch fees telex and my admission letter will my ITA still be rejected we have always had the pof in treasury bill since last year the period under review is 22 Aug to 9/sept that is when I paid sch fees and was able to get money to add up If it compulsory you submit bank statements for your PNP, Your current crs score will determine my response. If your score can easily get you ITA without nomination, I'll advise you ignore the application. But if your score is low and this PNP seems a miracle, I'll suggest you print 1 year Statement showing that the money has been in your account for a very long time and then write a LOE explaining the gap. This shouldn't be a problem in my opinion. If your score isn't high, I think it's better to go the LOE route than declining. |

bezimo: That's still more than the minimum requirement for FSW of 1 year which is 12 months..and she should not have been rejected except maybe she didn't do it well..or she screwed up a particular aspect of entering the dates. She was claiming points for 3 or more years. Her crs was recalculated and her points fell below the cut-off for the draw she got ITA. It was stated in the notes..... VO deducted 25 points. |

bezimo: I used NYSC too and it worked 100% as I am a PR now..Claim 12 months. Because technically it is..if you count from camp day 1. But make sure the dates you use indicate 12 months. You don't need to upload Nysc certificate during your application.Just make sure where you served use a letter headed paper for the reference and they put those dates indicating 12 months exact or more...among the other compulsory requirements for the reference letter.. Thanks for sharing.... Thank God you're here to verify you used 12 months exactly. My conscience couldn't just let shut my eyes to 11 months stuff because a friend's application was just refused for same reason 5 months post ITA. She felt she had 3 years but the VO calculated as 2 years and 10 months. I have her GCMS notes so when I was sounding ridiculous yesterday, it was just out of serious concern for those that would go ahead with 11 months. VOs don't joke with requirements but wetin I sabi sef....... I beg lemme come and be going. |

Mariesio: This is hilarious. May 23rd to April 23rd is 1 year . Jan-Dec is 1 yr not Jan-Jan. This debate is tiring already Jan 1 - Dec 31 is 1 year Jan 1 - Dec 1 is just 11 months. It presents like I'm entertaining you. Lol..... Nor vex but I'm not. I'm reiterating for the love of as many who want to use NYSC as their primary NOC. Search through this thread and Canadavisa forum and you'll be shocked to see how many applications have been refused because reference letters are deficit of just 1 month. Good luck. |

Allowee Statement of accounts usually shows only 11 months payment because 1 month is usually paid in camp unless things have changed. So I doubt your SOA will proof the 12 months salary.

Prettiepearlz: Hence the reason he should back his application up with a letter of explanation from the onset, if he sees that it’s going to cause an issue, he should get his ppa to write a letter including the three weeks compulsory leave. Then he can back it up with an explanation should they request for his discharge certificate. This is the very reason I decided to make a comment regarding this. The OP was concerned about the 11 months stuff and asked questions but was told he could go ahead. The only point I want to correct is that May 23rd to April 23rd isn't 1 year but 11 months. He needs to add some other information like you suggested above to avoid stories that touch. NB: It's generally said that you use dates on your NYSC certificate for your reference...... His case just made me realise some certificates have just 11 months. I would suggest that those with less than 12 months on their certificates do not just stick to the 11 months without further explanations. |

Prettiepearlz: The 3 weeks leave nko? Nysc certificates carries dates like that, it has always been like that for some batches. But there is a three weeks leave after passing out. He should include that, I forgot to add that in my comment. And who said May 1st to June 1st is 2months? That’s a month! And nysc certificates isn’t required for reference, it’s not compulsory. Was he not paid for 12 months? His allowee came in for twelve months. Let’s help him do the math and not make it complicated for the guy. NYSC certificate could be requested by the VO. No one is saying he shouldn't go ahead. He just needs to be careful Find below.

ednut1: is nysc certificate required by ircc No If he goes ahead and claims different dates, what if his NYSC certificate is later requested for by the VO for any reason. I remember a lady from this thread was told to come to Accra with her NYSC certificate. Since he said he worked with his PPA beyond NYSC, that could be the buffer. I'll advise that he prepares his letter carefully. Edited: Below is VO requesting original NYSC certificate. Let's be careful when packaging our applications ooo.

ladymarshall: What’s the source of this special calculation? Is there a special CIC calculation for work experience? Please share it here.
May 23rd to April 23rd is one year. May 1st to July 1st is two months. Not everyone resigns on the 30th. Are you post-AOR? If you’ve ordered gcms, check your work experience notes and see how it’s calculated, it’s calculated normally. If you work from March 4 to May 22, officer would write 1 year 3 months of work experience. Hi, I think the above isn't correct. If I'm born May 23rd, I'll have to celebrate my 1 year birthday May 23rd not April 23rd. I just checked some NYSC certificates from different previous years and the dates indicated are always equal to 1 year. E.g Sept 5th to Sept 4th July 1st to June 30. This may be a recent development or an error. He needs to confirm there wasn't an error in his document. CIC says 12months full-time or 24 months part-timeIf one uses 11 months, one's application would most likely be refused because a lot of applications have been refused for this very reason.

Prettiepearlz: 23rd May to 23rd April is one year bro. Use it please. Nysc certificates has always been like that and others have used it successfully. I'm afraid May 23rd to April 23rd is 11 months not 1 year. A child born May 23rd turns 1 year May 23rd not April 23rd. I'm aware several people have used NYSC successfully but it's good we know the dates on their certificates and that on their letter. I doubt they used 11 months and scaled through. |

Concerning this NYSC as primary NOC, I just noticed my certificate (2017-2018 Corp members) indicates 11 months as shown in the image.
Can I still use it to claim 1year work experience?
P.S: I continued with my PPA (secondary school) till mid May or thereabout. Wow! Is this 11 months a new development from NYSC? My NYSC certificate indicates 1 year exactly not 11 months. Please check that of others in your set to confirm if it was an error or find out from those that have claimed experience points with NYSC if they scaled through with 11 months |
