I don't know if this is cliché but vooks has said all I wanted to say ![]() I've decided to take the back seat and learn through discussions such as this particularly when I see one or two brothers doing justice to it like vooks is currently doing. I had sympathy for cessationism before but I've had to backtrack because I honestly can't conclude based on 1Cor 13:8. The obvious abuse by the pentecostal movement which has elevated such gifts to status symbols doesn't help matters but despite that, i always have to tell myself that "God can't be put in a box by cessationsists or by Pentecostals" If a brother insists he speaks in tongues, I say congrats to him. Our quarell starts when he starts insisting that another child of God can't get to enjoy God fully until he starts speaking in tongues and of course I can't understand the 'need' to turn places of worship into a madhouse despite this caution from apostle Paul 1 Corinthians 14:19, 23 KJV Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. [23] If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? God bless us plenty |
Gombs:I'm fine bro. Cheers ![]() |
WinsomeX:Thanks....I'll check it out |
Gombs: ![]() My friend don get another reason to celebrate....God win ![]() Maybe the devourer finally caught up with frosbel's moniker.....but some tithe promoters too are missing in action ![]() Abi Mal 3:10 forgot about demarcation? ![]() This is my first post on this thread because I didn't believe in the idea....the drama wasn't worth it. Anyway, how are u doing bro? |
musKeeto:Hmmm...my dear Muskeeto, Body dey cloth o my bro? Trust you're doing great? ![]() |
funkybully:I'm watching NTA 9.00PM news now and Buhari's condolence message over Ooni's death was aired at 9.20PM. I guess we all can now focus on some more important issues? |
This is a perfect example of ''a round peg in a round hole'' God bless whoever recommended him to President Buhari |
Na only the Ibori family waka come?? anything they touch just turns into jail terms ![]() Haba!!! |
vooks:@the bold, it happens. maybe the gossip of soul ties there are real afterall ![]() |
vooks:If the case eventually gets to trial, that would be something i tell you |
MuttleyLaff:who knows?? If truly TBJ has 'escaped' to mexico, he must know something we don't about this ![]() |
Hello vooks, true to your predictions, it seems your 'friend' TBJ is gone for good... Or his god has called him for service in the americas?? where the long arms of the law cannot reach? |
I saw the exchange between MuttleyLaff and Gombs and i wonder how difficult it is to just admit when mistakes or slips are made. A pistol is a weapon, a dagger is a weapon, a spear is a weapon, a sword is a weapon. The cross is actually a location, Mount Calvary is a location also. The cross is a location inside another location. Christ was killed on the cross. The cross didn't kill him. he was killed with spears in his sides, crown of thorns piercing the veins in his head, the beatings he received before being hung on the cross, The dehydration he suffered on the cross, the nails driven into his hands and feet on the cross. to cut a long story short, MuttleyLaff is very correct. The cross is a crime scene where many wicked things were done to an innocent man so my fiend Gombs and i can be forgiven even of the truths we refuse to admit I didn't pick through most of the posts as i would have loved to do because of time but i'll find time to do so i can contribute better some other time. Also, quit this your detective nonsense bro because you suck at it . you were the same person that said SirJohn was Lobeez, vooks was shdemidemi. now Goshen has metamorphosed into MuttleyLaff. Unless you really want to suspend reality, you'll admit that Goshen360 writing has NOTHING similar to MuttleyLaff IN ANY WAY. Also, Winsomex never denied being DrummaBoy because he never even attempted to disguise his writing or presentation style.....his only response was ''if you ask me, na who i go ask'' which was a way of saying ''e no concern you''. If you have any reference to where he denied, pls let me know and i'll withdraw this statement. But Gombs, can you in all honesty claim you're free of the alternate moniker business? ![]() Also, encourage Pastor Jo to pay up na......500k can't be so much of a big deal to him...or is it? |
abrotechit:What do you expect with so much hunger in the land?? ![]() The man is simply a hustler |
I have a contrary result from the same unit so pls let's wait till an official result comes out. My source said APC. 313 PDP. 31 Let's be patient |
Chigold101:There's no history of the number of times that India did mock elections before they got to this stage but when I remember that India is a 3rd world country like Nigeria, I know we have no excuse. There's no election any where in the world that doesn't have hitches. INEC was prepared in the eventuality of card readers failing: the incident form. All a person who is interested in making the elections true had to do was to fill the incident form if the card reader failed. For places that had widespread problems, INEC already extended till Sunday. The same reason why Nigerians create 3 lanes on a one lane street is the same reason we are not allowing this process to flow |
My pastor friend from Benin also said they paid N500 for voting PDP but he told the guy the cash was too small to feed him for a day |
Chigold101:India is over 1 billion and they have no problems with technology-aided elections. Let's stop making excuses for failure. What we lack is the will and patience to do things the proper way |
The average Nigerian politician doesn't want a transparent election and his supporters too are willing tools to be used to discredit the system. The card reader is an innovation that has the capability of reducing greatly, the incidence of rigging and other fraud associated with the electoral process. It has its own drawbacks as we are using it for the first time. I myself I'm a victim as I have my TVC here but no PVC hence can't vote but I won't quarell with the process. Such is bound to happen sometimes. After all what's the use of all of us voting and crooks end up writing whatever result they feel like later as used to be the norm? Until our elections truly become a reflection of the people's will, we will keep having crooks who don't give a damn in positions of governance ruining the nation and its economy. There's little God will do for us if we are not ready to take charge of the processes that are fully within our power and control like simply voting rightly and transparently. |
![]() Pasitor Jo suddenly finds His online voice again after being "missing in action" Egbon, wey the cash?? ![]() My friend Gombs, how u dey? What is this new twist about coercion you and Jo are trying to throw up? ![]() How do you coerce a man 'healed' of deadly HIV to lie against himself and deny his 'great deliverance'? Did SirJohn threaten to kill him? John 9 tells us the story of a blind man getting healed. The combined forces of the pharisees and rulers of the synagogue couldn't get him to deny the miracle and he was eventually cast out of the synagogue (a terrible punishment then) yet he remained steadfast. Who is SirJohn compared to folks who had power of life and death over fellow humans? If Jeff truly got 'healed', a thousand SirJohns CANNOT get him to stop telling every living thing about it. I'm afraid that your premise for this attempt at debunking SirJohn is very weak and unworthy of any rational consideration.....it won't cut it my friend ![]() Cheers |
Actually the IBB connection to the Gloria Okon saga has being known to all adult Nigerians since Dele Giwa's death in 1986 or 1987( not so sure now). Fela sang about it, Orlando Owoh also did. Gani fawehinmi made it his lifelong struggle to bring Akilu and Togun(IBB henchmen) to book for their roles in the matter but was frustrated till he died. Its actually shocking some people try to pin it on buhari today |
doctokwus:I just wish this elections can be done and dispensed with so we can have our sanity back. The country is going into recession but politics is not allowing those at the helm to give it much attention |
aguiyi:Well....but any honest observer will have to ask the question Why did this case come up now? Were the promoters of ydp on holidays to mars since April 2014? All I see is hand of Jacob, voice of Esau. |
doctokwus:Don't be too sure my friend. The ydp can demand the opportunity to produce a presidential candidate and considering the fact that ballot papers have been printed already, inec would have no choice but to print ballot papers afresh which would need more time of course Except the court can decide that their request is frivolous but how will a court deny a Nigerian the right to contest an election he's qualified to contest? I'm no lawyer o so you can pls let me know if my thoughts on this matter are too pedestrian ![]() Cheers |
Education should liberate a mind from hate but nairaland tends to prove otherwise. I'm Proud of all Hausa/Fulani who have commented here. I'm not Hausa myself but I lived and worked among them for 8 years and I still have some of my best friends among them. Keep up the gentle mien and God bless you all. |
There's trouble ahead but only few Nigerians appreciate its magnitude. |
Like play like play, our govt is engaging in a macabre dance and we the citizens are simply choosing sides. Our recent history ought to remind us that what affects the eyes will surely reflect on the nose but we have chosen to be forgetful. I hope those who rode into power on the back of citizen action will remember the same citizens in their calculations and scheming to retain power at all cost. If anything, Jonathan has proved the long standing truth that "Never you vouch for a man's character until you give him access to money and power" The 'humble christian' man is showing he learnt very well from his mentors |
The Islamic Development Bank is also one of the banks arranging a loan of $5.7B for Nigeria to finance projects this year. |
Godprophet:You charge $90 for prophecy and you complain I called you a thief? You're even more crooked than I thought. Your conscience is dead, seared with a hot iron. You can't even quote and apply Bible verses properly. You're a very dangerous man that needs to be stopped before you deceive and ruin more lives. |
Wahala ya zo!!!! Are u sure the incoming govt will have a treasury to work with at this rate?? This Soludo write up has depressed me |
...Thief thief thief, catch am catch am, rogue rogue rogue... Some words from one fela song which correctly describes this charlatan. I got convinced about 'pastor' joagbaje the day I saw him defending this crook on a similar thread sometime ago. Folks are actually getting wiser about people like this. Its good to know the effort put into opening the eyes of Christians on NL haven't been in vain. godprophet, look for another market.....you've lost this one and I say it to you in the name of the lord. ![]() |
This is a dilemma. Between a SAN and a professor of law who is also a SAN, whom do we listen to? This is the era of qualifications so who is more qualified to interpret the constitution for us? The prof of law or the other lawyer? The full link below http://www.punchng.com/politics/buharis-certificate-equivalent-to-masters-degree-says-sagay/ |
