Hello everyone, trust you are all doing good,Thank God I had my baby boy via C-Section on Monday at HNMC,I used Dr Morgan, intially I was pissed about aving a repeat c section but I am glad a did cos my baby weighed 4.4kg,I don't think I could AV survived pushing him out of me. Everything went well, they were not able to give me epidural cos for some reason it wasn't staying so I was put to sleep. So far everything went well I am good and my baby is healthy no complications,I AV paid my bills paid,3k dr fees and 3500 hospital bills and 750 epidural,I was discharged and I got a letter from d hospital stating I AV performed my financial obligations, however I am still expecting the pediatrician's bill, when I called I was told my son's info wasn't yet in their billing system and I should check next week.
But I must say HNMC wasn't nice when it came to giving free things,I was give six 40mls similac, and 10 diapers and a pack of baby wipe. And they wore a top for my baby through out our 2 night stay, the top was old and worn out,I wished I had brought my own stuff from the start.
Anyway boy is doing good Alhamdulilah
Congrats dear. God bless your LO kiss

My sister what am about to say will offend alot of people ao let me start by apologizing in advance.
However i hope we will be wise enought to open our hearts and eyes and ears and learn.

Our biggest problem in thia part of Africa is
A) culture
B) Religion

We are raised as religious people and u often hear statements like : God forbid! I am Christ like and by his grace will deliver like the hebrew woman!
The faith we (especially pentecostals) profess is alittle unreasonable sometimes. How can someone have headache and not take drugs or be sick and say "im strong in Jesus name" when they are obviously in nees of help?

Wasnt it Jesus that gave the doctors their knowledge? Isnt it by Gods grave that science has gotten where it is? Forget that some scientists dnt bliv in God but we all know that the mystery of existence is the grace of grace and healing is all part of that grace.

Culrurally also women look down on other women who have had csections. They see dem as inferioir and unable to bear pain. But guess what: THERE ARE DIVERSE REASONS FOR CSECTION. pain is thr least reason. Some women are created with small uterus, others get gestational diabetes, some babies are breech, some have a cord prolapse (cord around their neck where pushing may strangle the baby) and many more reaons. Why make a woman feel inadequate for smth she has no control over? Y subject the miracles of pregnancy to earthly condenmation??

Oyinbo ppl have sooo accepted cs that they even walk into the OR begging for a section.

We claim to have come into the 21st century, but still have myopic views forced on us by our African heritage.

My sisters if u can birth naturally please do, but if for any reason a life ia dependent on a section, please choose life... Not myth!

#lifenotmyth!
Nice one Ajujuju2. Years ago, my born again pregnant cousin (born again to the core) was not in Labour but her water broke. Getting to the hospital she was told she will undergo CS na him this babe parra o " God forbid, me and God did not discuss this" blahblahblah. She refused to go even when the doctor told her the dangers of not going for the CS early. Thank God her hubby rush to the hospital in the middle of the commotion. He just sign sharply without argument and she eventually had it. When the baby was born looking pale and sick.
Thank God for today the baby is 7years old looking healthy. For the second and last babies, she begged the doctor for CS to avoid stories. She realised that being an Hebrew woman is coming out of the labour room alive with the baby (be it VD, CS, Epidural etc.
God will not come from heaven to help us.He gave us brain to use, gave Doctors strength to treat us while he does the healing.

Thanks @candyce. She was 1 week pregnant when we got d visa& we didnt even know.

Her passport shows dat she travelled to France abt d time of the holiday we wanted we only had to come back for unavoidable reasons.

I don't plan to have another child after dis i'm sure by d time she delivers d visa wld still have over a year left on it.

I have used mine & i would have wished she goes for a visit before delivery but d exchange rate has spoilt everything. Has any1s visa been cancelled after writing the embassy for change of purpose? Or if she goes without informing them and pays all d bills is it a bad 1?Pls educate me.Abeg.

Thanks.
Let me answer what you stated paragraph by paragraph accordingly #inladyg'svoice
*France and US no be the same. She still have to go for the purpose the visa was stated.

*Yes its 2yrs validity so what....Do you want to use the medical visa for different purpose when you eventually get it ni? undecided #Ismelladishonestperson angry

*Arik air is available. Let her travel for just one week without you or the children. You want her to go without informing them choi!!! Aru eme. Ibu onye ojo (abormination. you're a bad person). If you want to be educated read this thread from page to page.

I am a FTM to be and i have been preparing myself ahead of time. Read this thread page to page from part 1 to 4. I got my OVERSABI education from the likes of ladyguinvere, nerf , phema ,ajuju and the host of other readers here grin cheesy

God bless u all for sharing very useful info in dis chat room.

Have a US visa for self, wife &2 kids. Got d visa for a holiday/part business in d US which we planned to sincerely go for.

We were supposed to visit france and d US within 1 month but midway into our holiday in france before we could leave for d US, something very urgent came up at my business &i had to rush back wt my family after just a week.

Have gone to d US alone since then for business briefly &i'm back.

Wifey is pregnant now & I want d baby delivered in d US. I intend to write d embassy abt d change of purpose but i have read on a few pages back whr some people re advising against it. I would have wished she goes for a 2 weeks vac before going for d delivery but cos of d exchange rate i cant afford it & all i'm gathering is d money for delivery.

My Question is dat is it advisable dat i write d embassy or not.
Should she just go when she is ready &face d CBP in d US without writing d embassy. Do they cancel visas nowadays when u change d purpose. I have read virtually all d pages on d part 1-4 of dis thread but i need answers based on people's recent experiences.

Thank you.
Eyin people that keep looking for answers to if change of intent is advisable or not, kontinu.
Why not allow your wife serve the purpose of the visa she was given then later apply for visa to give birth. Abi you didn't know she was pregnant before applying for holiday visa? undecided

Hello house,
My testimonies plenty.
1) my mum got her visa on monday at abuja, she went with her burden of proofs but itb was not checked. Just 2 questions ( were are u going and why). White paper given to her and Vo is typing, my mama refused to go feeling like d woman never check her plenty papers na security man come explain say no need, u've been given visa!

2) had my beautiful big baby girl same day by 7; 42am at Oakbend by dr F.
After 4yrs of marriage, 2 nasty 1st & 2nd trimester miscarriages. This miracle came. At abt 4 months was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, put on insulin 3 times daily and considered high risk pregnancy. This discouraged me greatly I almost left d American dream, plus had some doctors I originally wanted to use in america who turned me down cos I was on insulin.
Congrats evemama. Thank God for your bundle of joy #morechildrenontheway.

Ok i thnk we need to research more before speaking authoritatively. No harm meant my dear, but u need to understand the following; especially bcz we are all here to learn and help each other.

Myomectomy is the surgical removal of fibroids from the uterus. It allows the uterus to be left in place and, for some women, makes pregnancy more likely than before. Myomectomy is the preferred fibroid treatment for women who want to become pregnant.

After myomectomy, a cesarean section may be needed for delivery. This depends in part on where and how big the myomectomy incision is.

Therefore d enquirer was right to ask abt VBAC. D reason being that once a surgery has been dne on d uterus most doctors dnt encourage VD bcz d force of pushing cn erupt the earlier suture. So in essence women who hav dne myomectomy hav to do cesarian.

Shes a first time mom bt wants to knw if she cn do VBAC. She knws wht shes asking.
Ok.... now I understand. Thanks dear. Am still learning wink kiss

We learn everyday. I did not know VBAC refers to surgeries other than cesearean section as well. Thanks.
To the best of my knowledge a FTM cannot have vbac. It simply means vagina birth after having a csection for the previous birth. Except you want to have a planned csection and enquire it you can have a vbac for the next pregnancy. smiley
