Lol
All this agents, always talking bullsh**t, and giving fake information.
You don't get any critical skill work permit automatically in Ireland, you will have to find a job, then the job will have to sponsor you. Which is subject to critical skills list and other requirements.

If the critical skill application is successful, you will be given a stamp 1, which you will renew every year for 2 years, that is you'll have the stamp 1 for 2 years, then after that you may be qualified for a stamp 4, which can be classified as permanent residency.

If you don't qualify for a critical skill permit, there is a general work permit, and if that is granted, you'll be on stamp 1 for 5 years, it will also be renewed on a yearly basis subject to other conditions and requirements.
After holding a stamp 1 General work permit for 5 years, you may be eligible for a stamp 4.

Then generally graduates in a masters degree get a stamp 1G for 2 years, firstly for 1 year then subject to other conditions, it will be renewed for another year.
After that if you have not secured a stamp 1, 4 or any new immigration permit, you may have to leave the Country. Stamp 1G does not count as reckonable residency, so 2 years spent on stamp 1G is as good as NOTHING in terms of permanent residency or citizenship.. On the other hand, stamp 1 from a critical skill permit or general work permit, counts towards your reckonable residence for citizenship.

I don't mean to be rude, but people should do basic Google searches to double check any information someone gives them especially information from agents who want to self their market

Good luck mate!!

According to my findings... Stamp 1G is consider as reckonable residence which means it will be consider as part of the years which one legally lived in Ireland

But UK student visa trend is not dull at all like this o

I just confirm your information concerning UK student trend and it turned out that it is true o.Guess most people choose UK over Ireland. Maybe through this new competition ,Ireland will make life pleasant for student over there...

I mailed the Abuja embassy but they did not responsed ,so i called their line and i was told to send a mail to "visamail@justice.ie" which i did and got a response that dublin just received my application on 23rd of August and that they are still on 6th of August applicant.Maybe does that applied early july should also mailed them to see the response they will get because apparently so far no early july as gotten theirs but from 16th of july have been receiving theirs... below is their reply;

Thank you for your email of 28/08/2019.

The visa application referred to was received in the Visa Office, Dublin on
23/08/2019. The Visa Office is currently considering applications received
in the Visa Office on 06/08/2019.

Visa applications are considered in as speedy a manner as possible.
Timeframes for decision can be dependent on a number of factors; two of
those being, the number of applications received and the resources
available to process them.

We also wish to state that in order to be fair to all applicants;
applications are processed in order by date received in this office.

The following page, which is updated each Tuesday, can be visited to keep
up to date for current processing times:

For those who submitted in Lagos, you should know that the date VFS forwarded ur application to Embassy in Abuja might be different from the day it was received by the embassy. I submitted my application on 8th of July in Lagos and it was forwarded to Abuja on 9th (the next day) but the embassy told me that my application was received in their office on the 11th.

For you who submitted ur apllication on July 3rd, maybe there's a mistake somewhere because it cannot take weeks to reach Abuja embassy. It might only take few days. So I think ur application has been with them since and they are working on it. You will get good news soon.

Hi, getting accommodation in Dublin is not easy but then, different people have different experience. I will advise you to book a temporary hostel on booking.com for 1-2weeks. For some hostels, you won't have to pay any deposit to book a space while others may require a deposit of 5-10% of the actual amount. By doing that, you will have a place to stay for a while and search properly for a room/apartment of your choice.

Rents.ie , daft.ie and hosting power are the major sites for searching. Another option is discussing your challenge with people on ground. Someone may know someone who knows where there's vacancy. Information flows alot. This worked for me.

Cheers!!!!

Also, can you help me with the list of very important things to bring along when coming to ireland?

Although it isn’t easy to find accommodation close to school, you can get one that should be 30 or 45 minutes bus to school. Which is mostly cheaper and more convenient, that’s what most of us did. Shalom.

Thanks a lot. i really appreciate..
