@caon, trust you had a good day, feedback though not comprehensive enough says you should check with an urologist ASAP, let them check the pyhysical state of the disorder and determine what best method to use in its correction, in this case he mentioned a minor surgery cos you folks are trying for a baby. This is advised so as not to cause damage to both testicles and incur oda infertility problems. Just relax ang get treated, the Lord will see you thru. Regards

Varicocele can be confirmed through Scan. As at last year, the surgery alone cost N250,000. This was excluding cost of drugs, wards, other services or eventualities. Don't know the present cost now.

@iGaz,pls which hospital was it done,DH has varicocele and I guess that is what affected his sperm cells drastically.thank you

I am here to testify... God has finally done it for my family after 1yr and 6months of trying for a baby, my wife is 2 months gone now!!! It was made possible through prayers mainly coz my situation was pretty bad that I had to go for vericocelectomy (surgery to rectify vericocele). There was no rapid improvement as I was told I would see some diff between 3-6months, despite that, we achieved pregnancy at 6months with count lower than 1million and 15% mortility! I really thank God and encourage people here with similar challenge(S).. God is alive and still in the business of performing miracles, don't neglect midnight prayers and also seek good medical attention coz God can work through your doctor. Abeg sabi mamas,I need to ask a question.must one do medical tests in a lab recommended by the doctor?I ask cos the plac dat was recommended is too expensive,moreso I had already done one of d tests in 2 different places n yet she stil wants me to re do d test.wat d u all think.is a general hospital we are talkin about here oo

@all can evening primerose be taken throughout the cycle? I noticed it increases my wetness anytime I take it. It also makes mensuration clot free and pain free .

Hubby said I should stop taking all my supplements as most supplements work against ttc. They also cause weight gain.
Currently, I have vit c(1000mg) which I started cutting to 500mg b4 I stopped. I have evening prime rose, maca root and glutathione - 500mg. I gave hubby my vit e to help boost his count more. I also HV vit b( not sure where I kept it. Please which of the above are TTC friendly and what time of the cycle can they be taken?

mamatwiny,evening primerose should be stopped immediately u suspect u have ovulated.I.e it is ideal for cd1 to cd 14.shdnt be used after ovulation cos it causes contraction n may distrupt implantation.vit b complex can be taken at anytime u might as we'll want to add folic acid 400mg as it is advisable for woman of childbearin to take it.I wil advise u stop vit C cos I kinda heard it induces abortion

I use to ve a SIL like dat if I complain dh go say who drop money for the food.I kuku tell am say as na him drop money make him find cook join,the situation was worst than urs to the point when am cooking d mumu dey inside her room dey watch movies as I finish to cook she go come out go kitchen put hand for put carry chop,if she come from work she go open freeze carry put for microwave chop everything not minding wat others will eat, as I realize say complain no work.i change tactics as sharp BAE,I stop to cook plenty food so food no dey dey freezer.if I cook finish for kitchen I go serve my own and DH own put for microwave keep for am,if e remain good luck to her,if e no remain I jejeje enter my room go watch zeeworld.
one day I come back from work see say she boil rice and stew(na only 2meat dey inside stew)I carry plate take rice and stew with d 2meat enter my room jejeje,as she come out see d two meat don disappear she no fit complain.another day I come meet noodles for fire,I jejeje put noodles for plate enter room.
I stop complaining but pass d msg across with my attitude.case close

His small cousin stays wt us if i don't serve him food he picks two or three meat from soup(we are not rich just on d average) so i serve him food this evening i served him veg source and he went back and put d remaining source i left for MIL including her portion of fish. i told dh he started calling all sorts of names because i said the boy was not suppose to go to my pot.
Once i make mention of anything this boy does dh gets angry and starts calling me names

Good afternoon to all the mamas in the house. We shall all testify this year in Jesus name Amen. I will be going for hsg next week, please I need a very strong pain killer because if not for baby, that pain is not what one can go through for the 2nd time. Met a urologist today.

@chypoo86500,you can take ibruprofen,30 mins before the procedure dat is wat I used to relax my muscles wen I did my HSG, n it really made d pain bearable.please we're is this urologist located,hope he resides in lagos, will appreciate if you can giv his contact.

650k? What for? What did he diagnose him of? I'm based on the east. But you'll be able to get a urologist in any general or teaching hospital. They mostly work as consultants.

@miraclebaby,tank u so much,we heard of dr quick treating zero sperm count den we decided to go for it,he jst finished his last bottle but feelin very reluctant to retest,his mood and countenance changes weneva I bring up d matter for a retest.hmm I dnt know how to convince him ooo

All, has anyone during the course of treatment thought about detoxification? Its very essential I must say, it makes your body respond well to treatment and clears some unseen obstacles previosuly affecting absorption of medications. Its good to try it out particularly when switching from one drug to another (i will advise the natural/herbal way for detox to flush your systems and remove toxins via stool and urine and not all these foot and greent tea type o ) One more thing, dont rely too much on orthodox medicine if you know what I mean. Its likely to work if the issue is diet based. Have you seen a urologist? Zero count could be due to blockage or not. But first step is usually to see a urologist who might check physical cum scan tests to know what the issue could be.
Though if you want to try Fertilsan M there's nothing wrong in trying as it can't do any harm. It's just a supplement that aid men in general fertility.
