Jonathan and that hungry wife of his are intent on making up for lost time.

Just listen to the way Jonathan speaks and conducts himself and you will know that this man is just another cheap, money grabbing thug.  Unlike Yaradua who had an air of refinement about him, as for Jonathan's wife don't even get me started!!!!

I would really want to know more about his educational background and his upbringing, I heard that he came from poverty, that in itself does not make him incapable of being a good leader after all Fidel Castro came from poverty but he is an icon to all oppressed people all over the world.  In the case of "Goodluck" his impoverished background has made him even more desperate to amass wealth at any cost just like his master OBJ.

Instinctively I know that Jonathan is insincere and is only in it for what he can get, the only solution to nigeria's leadership problems is for us to found a grassroots organisation like the ANC of south africa,  we need to start organising, the youth of nigeria have got to wake up unless they want to end up like their parents living under a client state which is controlled and teleguided by western puppets.

It will just be a matter of time before it will become blatantly obvious to psycophant extraordinaire aka Beaf that Jonathan is just another kleptocrat on the make.  The thing is there are so many signs that this man is nothing more than a common criminal - here you have a man who would do anything in order to be in the corridors of power- when his former boss met with an untimely death and was said to have been on indefinite medical leave in saudi arabia, how concerned was he for his welfare ?  This is my beleif about Jonathan's inexplicable rise to power - he is an obasanjo/US puppet who was used to replace Yaradua when the west realised that Yaradua was not willing to embark on destructive economic policies which would further impoverish the nigerian people.

Believe it or not Yaradua was actually a man of honour with a lot more to offer the average nigerian than this hopeless ijaw crook will ever be capable of doing in an entire lifetime.

How can a man who has no political achievement put himself forward as a person qualified to lead nigeria, as i have said before Jonathan is not intellectually nor morally equipped to lead or run a company talk less of a country.
Now people are talking about how he refused to declare his assets - why would a thief declare his assets when it will only direct people to conclude rightly that him and his wife are nothing more than a bunch of ijaw crooks on the make.
I bet we know who the real liar is in here.UK is not nigeria that pple dont know things or things are kept secret, just type john fashanu into google, its will tell us everything we need to know about him, i just did that and i see nothing.

The only thing he was involved in england was a match fixing scandal and he was never convicted for that, remember he got the job on gladiator after that and he was on come dine with me on channel 4.
You make me laugh!!!

Here is a man who makes a living from duping people - he tried it here but didnt get far, yes he was acquitted on the match fixing charges, but that does not mean that he wasnt guilty, if you get yourself a good lawyer you can literally get away with murder - ask OJ Simpson.

Look at his track record and that should tell you who he is:

He has moved his base to nigeria because he knows that nigeria is a lawless place where the rule of law is not respected -

last year he appropriated a N25 million contribution from nigerian billionaire Dangote under the pretext that the money was to be used as a contribution for production costs for a football reality show instead he diverted it into his personal bank account for his own personal use.

what about his tyre franchise scam in which he collected money from loads of people under the pretext of giving them a right to open up their own franchises in nigeria, only for those people to find out that he had made similar promises to several other nigerians and then made off with their money.

He got the job on gladiators around the same time that he was accused of match fixing and once the details came out his contract was not renewed, since then he has never done anything substantial on british tv, if you think coming out on come dine with me is something to write home about you need your head examined.

He even used his own ex wife - daughter of a former ivory coast ambassador by draining all of her money to pay for his huge £650,000 court costs in the match fixing case which resulted in her bankruptcy. As so0n as he discovered that she was no longer of any use to him, he deserted her along with his 3 children.

The truth is that since his match fixing scandal no reputable business in the west will touch him with a ten foot barge pole hence his move to nigeria where you can cheat, scam and deceive people to your hearts content,  The average nigerian has no moral compass thats why there are people like you on here defending this crook.

I wonder why you complain about the likes of IBB and Obasanjo who milk nigeria dry when you are so dumb taht you can't see when you are being taken advantage of.

this guy is one of the fakest assholes you will ever come across in life, completely and utterly full of sh.it, a compulsive liar and has no conscience, I dont know whether its to do with the way he was brought up but he is very cold and calculating.   Look at the bullshit he is spouting about his brother Justin,  he was not on speaking terms with his brother until the poor guy committed suicide.  Prior to that period Fashanu made a very nasty statement about the fact that he was gay and therefore wanted nothign to do with him. It was only after Justin's death that whatever is left of his conscience kicked in.

He will do anything for money, he uses and dumps people and has done that all throughout his life - is it the matchfixing, or is it the fake charities that he runs on behalf of african orphans where it was discovered that all the money that he was collecting was going straight into his bank account.

This guy is to be avoided at all costs.

Also he is very sometimeish about being a nigerian - his mantra is "I am a nigerian only when it suits me or only where money is to be made" -

All that crap  he told sun news reporters is a pack of lies.

You are so right bro, the thing that baffles  me is that we claim to be an intelligent people and yet these crooks have been running rings around us for the past 50 years, I know they have the military might to crush any form of dissent but still I would have thought that we would be wise to their lies and tricks by now, well perhaps we need another 50 years of oppression before we say enough is enough.  Something tells me that this is probably going to happen in my grandchildren's time.

Beaf, you amuse me.  Will Nigeria be the first nation to be destroyed by the CIA?  Go and find out what happened to Lumumba of Congo (now Zaire) when he decided that he had had enough of Belgian economic exploitation.  what happened to him? Didnt he end up in the trunk of a CIA agent's car? Didnt the Belgians and americans execute him and burn his body with acid.  the thing is this is no longer classified information - this information is now accessible via the freedom of information act - if you live in the US, you can make an application for this info to be disclosed to you and the US govt will oblige, they can't even be bothered to hide their crimes any longer, because they know that the black race is completely powerless.

Kwame Nkrumah was deposed by the CIA - it is on record that this is the case, why? because he advocated Pan africanism, Thomas Sankara of Burkina Faso was executed by his best friend Blaise Campaore who is now the life president of Burkina Faso under orders from the french govt.  Do you want me to go on?

You can scoff and laugh as much as you like, but you cannot run away from the truth. Nigeria is a client state of Great Britain and the US just because of our oil - its that simple, if we had no oil, they wouldnt give two shits about us.

As long as the oil continues to flow, nigeria will never know peace, UNLESS we recognise where our problem is coming from and do somethign about it.

@cap28, your conspiracy theories are out of this world. . . wow shocked shocked shocked. There is always some devious western puppet master yanking the strings to decide the fate of Africa. I'd like you to introduce me to these oyibo men with supernatural powers that will make God look like a hapless Sunday school teacher.

I am surprised a lot of people did not decipher the puzzle the moment OBJ forced a corpse down our throats. At the moment, I agree that Jonathan is not the best Nigeria has to offer, but with useless and shameless malicious goons like IBB, Gusau, Buhari, Atiku etc in the pipeline, Jonathan remains the blind man in the land of headless men. He will trounce all the useless recycled goons in a free and fair election and they know it. The numerous desperate campaign strategies, cheap blackmails and empty threats are a dead giveaway.

To the internet warriors and armchair/drive by analysts, let me give you a dose of reality check. For any of the present goons to wrestle SE and SS out of Jonathan, they may have to consult Amadioha, Egbesu, Jesus and Mohammad because the situation on the ground is not looking good for them. In a nutshell, if Jonathan gets PDP nod, it is a done deal, whether the presidential election is free or foul. The opposition has nothing to offer at the moment and is too fragmented to have any tangible impact.
Bros they are not conspiracy theories - I am an avid observer of what is going on around me, the truth is out there but i would say that 80% of black people world wide are living in a state of self delusion, refusing to face up to the reality of the world that we are living in.

The reason that the west stays well ahead of us is because we are in a permanent vegetative state (PVS) which is similar to someone who is on a life support machine.  The average black man is devoid of any iota of critical thought or analysis and thats why we are usually caught napping when major catastrophic events happen to us eg (slavery, colonialism, neo colonialism).

The idea that the white race have a benevolent agenda towards us after all the atrocities comitted against us for the past 500 years makes me wonder whether we are actually capable of rational thought.

All i am saying is Jonathan, IBB, Buhari, Ribadu etc are not going to steer nigeria out of the mess that we are currently in.  What we need is a radical, fresh young mind, untainted by western ideology, proud of their african heritage and determined to steer us out of this bottomless pit of despair that these current crooks are planning for future generations of young nigerians.  Very soon this oil will run out and by then nigeria will no longer be of any use to the west , what do you think these western nations will do with us then?  Remember that they have the upper hand militarily, if your enemy no longer sees any need for you, when he has finished using you what is his next step?  I hope you know that Nigeria cannot defend itself from external invasion.

debosky:
What a sweeping, presumptuous and highly erroneous generalization.  undecided

So because Nigeria is 'owned' by Western Powers GEJ won't win? How come the Western powers allowed Yardie to win even with his PIB bill that was against their interests?

Wait don't tell me. . . .that's why they made sure he died in Saudi right?
The problem with people like you debosky is you actually think that nigeria is actually a bona fide full fledged nation capable of making autonomous decisions that benefit its citizenry - you couldnt have been further from the truth even if you tried, these pathetic charlatans who call themselves our leaders are totally powerless when you look at the bigger picture.

i always use Iraq as an example - Saddam who was a hundred times more honourable than all of nigeria's leaders combined since our so called independence 50 years ago , tried to stand up to the west by trying to end america's control over international oil prices by switching the  currency in which oil could be purchased from the dollar to the euro, in doing so he would effectively have ended america's control over oil prices and dislodged the american dollar as the world's reserve currency.  How did america react to this ?  Yes you guessed it they invaded Iraq and had him murdered  forget all that bullshite about him being a murderous dictator , isnt babangida a murderous dictator? why havent they had him neutralised like saddam?  could it be because he buys into their draconian world bank and IMF economic policies?

The thing you are totally in the dark about is that nigeria can not free itself of this cancerous bad leadership until it gets rid of these IMF and world bank agents that are parading themselves as prospective leaders such as IBB, OBJ, Jonathan, Ribadu et al,

I laugh when i read some of the posts with igbo fighting yoruba, yoruba fighting hausa ad nauseum, people, we need to transcend tribalistic differences because the real enemy facing the average nigerian is not someone from a different ethnic group but the ruling classes of nigeria who have hijacked the oil reserves of this country on behalf of shell, chevron and exxon mobil.

Is Jonathan a hausa man ? - No but he does not have the interest of the poor man on the street at heart, is his wife a hausa woman ? - no but she is the same person who looted over 100 million naira in public funds from her own people and some sychophants (Beaf, na so and co) are still swooning at her feet pleading and begging to be oppressed by her and her husband.  The irony of this is that we say that  we are an educated people but look at how we allow these animals to abuse and disgrace  us.  Many africans think that they are above african americans but I can tell you that the average african american who didnt even go to college knows when they are being taken for a ride.  Look at their track record against oppression and compare it to our own and i think you will find that they are light years ahead of us.

thank you bros, GEJ knows that he can't win it, he is simply going through the motions, nigeria is owned lock stock and barrell by western powers - to be precise by shell bp, chevron and exxon mobil.  I hear GEJ is even embroiled in a steamy relationship with the minister of petroleum Diezani Allison Madueke (lacky working on behalf of shell, chevron and exxon mobil to impoverish the lot of the average nigerian) and this is causing mrs jonathan serious sleepless nights, to be honest i dont blame patience who is a bush primary schoool teacher trying to make up for lost time by stealing as much money as possible, make una mark am down that this woman's stealing will make Turai Yaradua and Maryam Abacha's freefall looting look austere.

There is no viable opposition or grassroots group in nigeria, until a grassroots movement like the ANC  of south africa emerges nigeria will continue to be run by the same recycled hausa fulani elite.

Hell will have to freeze over before Jonathan gets anywhere near the presidency, why do I say this? because , he is not the chosen one, to be the chosen one you have to be capable of winning over the hausa fulani oligarchy and I think it shoudl be apparent to the most die hard "one nigeria" advocates that he cannot do this, put it this way - Jonathan is Obasanjo's boy, Obasanjo has completed his term and he has made it possible for Jonathan to be where he is today, but there is a limit as to how far Jonathan can go in terms of leading Nigeria. Jonathan is just going through the motions now , he knows he cant win it.

http://aderinola./2007/10/28/patience-jonathan-nigerias-most-powerful-woman/
but did anything come out of the court case? and when the case supposedly collapsed due to "insufficient evidence" how come Jonathan and his wife didnt seek to clear their names of such spurious and supposely malicious allegations by suing the EFCC? - these people think we all reason like Beaf and co.

I honestly beleive that crucial witnesses have either been intimidated, threatened or paid off.

Your article states the following:

Nigerians will remember how in August 2006, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) agents seized N104 million from one Nancy Ebere Nwosu, said to be an associate of Mrs. Jonathan. On 22 August, 2006, Justice Anwuli Chikere, of the Federal High Court, gave the commission legal backing to retain the money pending the conclusion of investigation.

On 11 September of the same year, a whopping $13.5 million was seized from Patience Jonathan herself by the agency. The investigation into these two cases are still outstanding as at this moment. Furthermore, the Council on Foreign Relations, in a report on the April 2007 elections in Bayelsa State, said that Patience Jonathan was regarded as the “greediest person in Bayelsa State.”

It is up to the First Lady to prove them wrong. She is not a member of this government, but a wife to the head of government, and so must learn to maintain the dignity that goes with her new office.
By the way the Council on Foreign Relations is a powerful american organisation that is made up of some of the wealthiest political and business figures in america, these people actually control the american govt, they also exert a great deal of control over client states ie countries who implement economic policies which are favourable to their business interests - nigeria is one of such countries, If they said that  Patience Jonathan was  one of the greediest persons in Bayelsa at the time, I would be inclined to beleive them.
Why would they make such a statement if they did not have aanything to back it up with?
Politics › Re: Zoning: Northern Elders Issue 2-week Ultimatum To Pdp by cap28: 1:10am On Sep 21, 2010
As you can see the real power brokers in nigeria - the hausa fulani oligarchy are already galvanising forces to block Jonathan from getting anywhere near the seat of power, as i  have said before - it will be a miracle if Jonathan wins the ticket, it is just not possible.  Not that he deserves to win it, after all he is just as bad as the rest of him, here we have a man who got to where he is from kissing obasanjo's a.s.s, he is not qualified to lead nigeria, intellectually or morally for that matter as his wife's track record will tell you what sort of man he is, show me a man's wife and I will tell you what sort of man he is.  People keep calling  him an academic - he doesnt strike me as an intellectual man, but then again in nigeria everyone is an academic, if an illiterate like Orji Uzo Kalu can refer to himself as"Dr" and the late Maryam Babangida is supposed to have also had a doctorate degree conferred upon her then i suppose Jonathan may as well be referred to as an "academic".

This patience's story is a mere fabrication and you have sustained  this expired line for too long. wake up man.

Everyone has his preffered candidate but atleast  let it be premised on tangibles .  Ribadu has already cleared the air on this issue and why you have refused to see surprises me.

please go to the thread below with you patience anti corruption talk:

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-515027.0.html
You have obviously been caught up in the euphoria of worshipping at the alter of Jonathan but very soon like a drunken man recovering from a 24 hour binge the morning after, you will discover that you did and said a few things you wished that you hadnt the night before.  HOw many times are these people going to keep on bamboozling you?

Don't you think it rather strange that Jonathan did not take legal action against the EFCC for allegedly smearing his name with the allegation that his wife was involved in laundering huge sums of money from the state coffers.  Why would Jonathan tolerate such an act of character assassination against his supposed unblemished record without seeking to punish ribadu and the EFCC?

I just don't understand how adults can reason like this, Ribadu did  a deal with Jonathan and the deal was:  I will drop the charges against your wife and even go as far as denying that these allegations were even true in the first place - come on bro  - this is nigeria we are talking about, these things go on in the west, talk less of nigeria where anything is possible.  Ribadu was probably paid off by Jonathan and allowed to come back to nigeria to restart his political career. You guys are about to be taken for a very big ride.

Jonathan is where he is today because he was selected by the powers that be  - he did not earn it, neither is he the people's choice.  he is just another opportunist.

Your beloved Jonathan can not go to the toilet without okaying it with the US govt first, he takes his instructions from Shell BP , Chevron, Exxon Mobil and finally his cabinet - in that order - he is a powerless puppet.  I actually had more respect for Yaradua because he actually made unilateral decisions which did not favour the west's economic agenda hence his early demise from the political scene.  In time we shall all find out why Yaradua really did die and why, as I said to Beaf the problem with us is blind sycophancy - that is what is killing us, and until we learn to think in a critical manner we will continue recycling these worthless bandits.

Jonathan will not deliver because he wont win it, the result has already been predetermined and I beleive that IBB will win it, not because he is the best man for the job, none of them are qualified for the job, as a matter of fact all of the current candidates ought to be rounded up and indicted on corruption and in IBB's case murder and drug trafficking charges, but hey this is nigeria that is never going to happen.

But yes as i was saying, IBB will win it because he has already been selected by the US as the preferred candidate, Jonathan is out of his depth and will not be able to fend off the hausa fulani oligarchy who do not even think he should be there in the first place. But IBB will deliver more draconian Structural adjustment policies which will further enrich the western financial institutions and sound the death knell for the nigerian economy and the nigerian people.

Why is it so difficult for you to accept that Jonathan would threaten and intimidate Ribadu, after all Ribadu was desperate to come back to Nigeria to relaunch himself back into Nigerian politics and if it meant doing a deal in order to make that a reality why not?

Blind psychophancy should actually be a criminal offence because for the past 50 years of this country's so called independence it has been the major reason that we have allowed a group of illiterate kleptocrats to bamboozle, hoodwink and mislead us.

You talk as if you don't know the power of intimidation and threats in nigeria, of course Ribadu would deny that he ever attempted to prosecute Jonathan and his wife because he doesnt want to fall out with them as they are now in a position of power.  For your information Ribadu was permitted to return to nigeria by Jonathan on the condition that he would drop all corruption charges against Mrs Jonathan.

Its either you are suffering from acute amnesia or you are hoping for a few crumbs to be thrown your way if he wins the presendential ticket,  have you forgotten how 13.5 million USD  of Bayelsa state funds was seized from Mrs Jonathan by the EFCC when she tried to launder it through one of her relatives abroad.  As if that wasnt bad enough the EFCC had earlier obtained a court order to freeze N104 million of looted funds that was found in her and her husbands  bank account - where did they get this huge sum of money from, i thought she was suposed to be a teacher - are teachers that well paid?

One of her relatives a Mrs Ebere Nwosu even implicated her,it was only becuase of her husband's influence tha t the whole saga was covered up.

I have just given you two factual examples and you are still asking me to prove my words, okay, it looks like you are one of those people who have to learn things the hard way, I give this your honeymoon period with Jonathan just 6 months and I can guarantee that you will be singing a different tune - don't say i didnt warn you!

If you think labelling a good man and unwittingly fighting IBB's dishonest battles is something to be proud off, dude you are grossly mistaken.

Goodluck Nigeria!
Have you forgotten how his wife appropriated over 100 million naira of the bayelsa state treasury's funds?

He is not what you think he is, he is a western puppet with nothing new to offer nigerians except more looting, are you aware that he recently signed an agreement with america allowing them to deploy troops onto our soil under the fictititious pretense of securing regional security, bros, you need to wake up and stop all this psychophancy.

I really do not understand why people are jubilating over jonathan's declaration - what has he done for nigeria in the short time that he has been in power, it appears most of you have very short memories, you seem to have forgotten his disastrous tenure as Bayelsa state governor when him and his wife looted over 100 million naira from the state treasury, or doesnt it matter any longer.

Can someone please clarify for me why this man is any different from his predecessors, what is he offering nigerians, how can people be so naive as to think that this man is some kind of messiah given his devious track record as a state governor.
Politics › Re: Us Judges Dismiss Nigerians' Case Against Shell by cap28: 2:22pm On Sep 19, 2010
Shell is one of many multinational corporations that are above the law, they are more powerful than many sovereign countries.  Shell actually gave the nigerian military the green light to rampage through the niger delta region and smash all forms of opposition to its exploitation of the region. This was done in order to safeguard their access to the  oil reserves in the Niger Delta.

Here is a report of the relationship between Shell and the nigerian govt undertaken by a US based activist organisation known as Essential Information:

In Nigeria, it is questionable whether it is multinational oil companies like Shell or the military which hold ultimate control. Oil companies have a frightening amount of influence upon the government: 80% of Nigerian government revenues come directly from oil, over half of which is from Shell. Countless sums disappear into the pockets of military strongmen in the form of bribes and theft. In 1991 alone, $12 billion in oil funds disappeared (and have yet to be located)23. Local governments admit that oil companies bribe influential local officials to suppress action against the companies. Hence the interests of the Nigerian military regime are clear: to maintain the status quo; to continue acting on Shell's requested attacks on villagers whose farms are destroyed by the oil company; to continue silencing, by any means necessary, those who expose Shell's complete disregard for people, for the environment, for life itself. Shell and the Nigerian military government are united in this continuing violent assault of indigenous peoples and the environment. And just as oil companies exploit numerous communities in the Niger Delta, the government's involvement in the above crimes is not limited to the Ogoni.

To allow the Ogoni to continue raising local and global awareness and pressure would be political suicide for an oppressive, violent military regime, whose only mandate is its own guns24. The Nigerian military government could not allow this movement of empowerment to spread into other impoverished communities of the Niger Delta. By harassing, wounding and killing Ogoni and others, the military ensures that it remains in power and that its pockets remain lined with the blood money of Delta oil.

the report goes further to focus on the collusion between western govt organisations who refuse to intervene to put a stop to this  injustice:

The UN, the Commonwealth and the US
International  condemnation of Nigeria is widespread, but there has been much more talk than action.
The UN

In a surprising and welcome move, the United Nations Special Rapporteur's report on Nigeria (released 4/15/98) accused Nigeria and Shell of abusing human rights and failing to protect the environment in oil producing regions, and called for an investigation into Shell. The report condemned Shell for a "well armed security force which is intermittently employed against protesters." The report was unusual both because of its frankness and its focus on Shell, instead of only on member countries. This was repeated in a November 1998 visit by the same official to Nigeria and the Delta region.

The Commonwealth

The Commonwealth is a group of 53 developed and developing nations around the world. Almost all members have had a past association with another Commonwealth country, as colonies  or protectorates or trust territories. The Commonwealth believes in the promotion of international understanding and co-operation, through partnership. Nigeria's membership of the Commonwealth was suspended by Commonwealth Heads of Government on 11 November 1995. Despite repeated pleas from Nigerian human rights activists, the Commonwealth has failed to follow through on threats of expulsion.

The US: words without action

In word, the United States is a strong critic of the Nigerian government, both past and present. It has condemned the existence of the military regime, of election cancellations, and of the situation in Ogoniland. It has threatened to take action. Yet it never does. As the largest consumer of Nigerian oil, the US could be the strongest advocate for human rights and justice, yet it refuses to take on that role. The US government has even protected Nigeria from economic sanctions by states and cities within the US. In March 1998 an official from the Clinton administration warned the Maryland House and Senate that bills creating state-wide economic sanctions against Nigeria for human rights abuses are a violation of US commitments to international trade agreements and to membership in the World Trade Organization. The Clinton administration termed such bills a "threat to the national interest." Not surprisingly, multinational oil companies such as Shell, Mobil, and Chevron lobby heavily against aggressive US policy towards Nigeria, an approach which appears to be working.

Beaf i dont understand how you can say Yaradua created AFRICOM.

AFRICOM is about the recolonisation of africa and its natural resources, you keep going on about conspiracy theories -AFRICOM has passed the stage of being considered a theory - it is well  underway and despite the ambiguous language that the americans keep using to confuse africans into thinking its about securing their territory and fighting the war on terror nothing could be further from the truth.  By the way this war on terror is nothing but a smokescreen used as an excuse by america to cover its real intentions, the only terrorists that we have in the world today are the americans, they are the ones who have an annual  military budget of over $600 billion USD - the largest defence budget in the world.  Which country in their right mind would attempt to go to war with a country that spends that amount of money on military hardware?

The idea that Yaradua would come up with the idea of AFRICOM is laughable - as Chyz stated earlier why on earth would he want foreign troops to occupy his own country?

US presidential candidate for the green party - Cynthia Mckinney even campaigned on this issue but of course received limited support as it was not regarded as an important issue to most americans.

The african american actor Danny Glover has also condemned america's plans to recolonise africa under the guise of providing "regional security"

Ojukwu= shameless traitor intent on associating with equally shameless tyrants that have nothing positive to offer nigeria and its people

IBB = drug baron, murderer and western puppet intent on taking nigeria back another 50 years by saddling us with more IMF and world bank debt.

amingafar:
I admire Ojukwu- After the constant killing of igbo in the north- he has hopes for One Nigeria

I dont agee with 16 more years-
Oh boy are you for real or are you on drugs?  Are you blind?  can't you see that he's simply trying to feather his nest and provide for his family after his death.  I am seriously beginning to beleive that this man never genuinely beleived in the igbo cause and that he sent young igbo men to their deaths on a lie.  I'm now beginning to beleive that all along Ojukwu wanted nothing more than to get his hands on the oil reserves in the delta region and tried to use secession as a means of acheiving that goal.

You call it "truth", I would use a very different noun to describe it.
Farrakhan is a very knowledgeable and learned man, he is not an illiterate rabblerouser but a man who has travelled widely and who has access to vast amounts of information.

Cap, are there still white-supremacist-establishment powers-that-be working tirelessly against blacks? I have no doubt that is true. Does this group constitute the vast, or even less-than-vast majority of white (or other races) around the world? No. Imho. I do not think that there is some massive, surreptitious conspiracy being constantly concocted and executed to "keep blacks down" around the world from progressing. I think the "oppression" we blacks cry today (while a certain small percentage is indeed real) is for the most part either imagined or self-inflicted.
The mistake you continue to make is that you think that racists are those guys who walk around in white sheets and who openly exhibit racist behaviour, to be honest you are missing the point, the real racism that hurts blacks is institutionalised racism which is where you have a whole system set up with the objective of subjugating, oppressing and disadvantaging one group of people while simultatenously assisting, benefiting and advancing the progress of another group - that is the type of racism that hurts, destroys and damages blacks and that is the type of racism that I am talking about.  The reason that it hurts blacks disproportionately is because most blacks cannot influence govt policy, do not own enough businesses in which to employ other blacks and on the whole have virtually no economic or political power or influence within the white supremacist system.

Lets use america as an example: In 1940's america various pieces of legislation were enacted to enable white americans easy access to cheap housing, but blacks were specifically excluded from benefitting from this  despite being law abidign tax payers, banks refused to grant loans to blacks to enable them obtain mortgages with low interest rates in suburbs and the few who managed to raise a large enough deposit as a down payment met with screaming white lynch mobs  who ran them out of their neighbourhoods.  This practice undertaken by the banks was known as redlining, it was based on the fact that mortgage loan officials drew red lines on maps around neighbourhoods which were inhabited predominantly by blacks indicating that those areas were to be excluded from the cheap loans that were on offer at the time.
Now this is just one example amongst many, i might add of govt organisations that act in conjunction with other organisations to keep blacks in a position of poverty and servitutude whilst assisting whites to progress and move up the socio economic ladder.

Here is what redlining means:

Redlining is the practice of denying, or increasing the cost of, services such as banking, insurance, access to jobs,[2] access to health care,[3] or even supermarkets[4] to residents in certain, often racially determined,[5] areas. The term "redlining" was coined in the late 1960s by John McKnight, a Northwestern University sociologist and community activist.[6] It describes the practice of marking a red line on a map to delineate the area where banks would not invest; later the term was applied to discrimination against a particular group of people (usually by race or sex) no matter the geography. During the heyday of redlining, the areas most frequently discriminated against were black inner city neighborhoods. Through at least the 1990s this practice meant that banks would often lend to lower income whites but not to middle or upper income blacks.[7]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redlining

In order to understand racism you must understand the bigger picture which is WHITE ELITIST CAPITALISM - america was founded by white slave owners, merchants, pirates and fortune hunters whose main aim was to amass as much wealth as possible and retain their position of power whilst ensuring that the poorer whites would never overthrow them and take away their wealth, the only way the white elite could continue to retain their position was to divide society (divide and rule) by creating a scapegoat or an underclass who would be regarded with contempt by other groups who were "fortunate" enough not to have been born with the "wrong" skin colour.  This group would be demonised and blamed for their unfortunate position in order to justify the abuse that would be meted out to them, they would also be  denied the same rights as the whites.  The white population upon seeing this would sever all links with this alien people and close ranks with their own and secretly be thankful that they had not also been condemned to such maltreatment.

In creating the racial caste system the rich whites would never have to worry about being overthrown because, they would have succeeded in dividing society along racial lines to such an extent that it would now be impossible for poor whites and blacks to ever unite and form any meaningful opposition that would threaten the status quo.

This system is very much in place today, poor or middle class whites collude with white elites in order to benefit from a system which rewards you not on the basis of ability but based on your race.

Look at Nigeria for Christ's sake. Does the white-establishment cause the religious rioting? the corruption in Aso rock? the theiving policmen at checkpoints? the murdering of "child witches"? the mechanic sabotaging your car so you'll keep coming back? the pastors and mogs fleecing the flock? the politicians lining their pockets with finances meant for education and hospitals? which of these oppressive actions did the white man cause? (perhaps only the massive mess in the Niger-delta can be cited).
All of the above situations that you have mentioned are SYMPTOMS of an oppressive system that has its roots in a much greater problem which was created by white oppression.  Nigeria first of all was created by a white racist colonial system in which white british colonisers forced together groups of people who had nothing in common with each other  so that the british colonisers could have easier control over the natural resources and manpower within that artificial construct.  When certain groups within this construct decided to agitate for independence, the british cleverly handed over power to a group of stooges on the condition that those stooges would allow the whites to continue to control the economic and political destiny of the country, in exchange for selling out their own people the stooges would be rewarded handsomely with massive kick backs, bribes, looted money from the national treasury and military aid to ensure that they would never be dislodged from their position by the masses.  The trickle down effect of this is the basket case that we call nigeria today, a country where people are driven to do just about anything because of poverty and when people are desperate there is nothing they won't do to keep their heads above water.  America is supposedly one of the richest countries in the world but look at the crime rate, look at the rate at which people take drugs and alchol and engage in p.o.rn.ography, prostitution and paedophilia despite being  one of the most affluent countries in the world.  If america with all its wealth could still be plagued by such social ills why would nigeria - a country where 70% of the population live in abject poverty be a paradise?
