faithin9ja:capitalism creates poverty, it creates a skewed society, you have a small powerful elite who own huge wealth with the majority working to serve the interests of that minority. most western societies have had a long history of trying to impose harsh capitalist policies on their people but such policies have been met with stiff resistance from their people . In a civilised society provision must be made for the less privileged, this is not possible if your main objective is to make profit, nigeria practices a harsh undiluted form of capitalism. Most western govts would never be allowed to get away with practising this in their own countries and that is the reason many american and british multinationals relocate their businesses to africa and south east asia. They know that people in these countries are poor and desperate and easy to exploit and that is the whole basis of capitalism - exploitation and the pursuit of profit at any cost. When you say that i am a socialist - you are correct, because i do not beleive that human beings can co-exist peacefully in a society where one group amasses huge amounts of wealth while others live in abject poverty, but that is the world we live in today, capitalism has enabled the western world to appropriate the wealth of weaker nations in order to enrich itself. As if that isnt bad enough, it now exports this same destructive economic policy to africa and imposes it on our people and many of our people have bought into this lie - you included. Capitalism among other things is the reason why less than 1% of the nigerian population own 85% of the wealth of nigeria. In the west there is also a significant gap between the rich and the poor but because capitalism is diluted to some extent with socialist policies, people in the west do not live in the type of grinding poverty that people in africa have been condemned to live in. so we have different ideologies, that's no bad thing but how do we settle our differences, we are now used to violence, so we go to what we know best we start killing each other.actually america had to go to war against britain in order to gain its independence. if george washington had lost the war he would have been hanged, he took a chance and won. the americans also went to war over slavery, the south wanted to secede because they were rich and self sufficient, the north wanted to prevent that because they were afraid of the power that the south were beginning to wield. so that shoudl tell you that the so called civilised countries of the world have gone to war over what they beleive in. don't forget the first and second world wars in europe. PSI explained to you why these other forms of FDI aren't in Nigeria, but they are coming - don't say i didnt warn you !! Obama will visit nigeria when america's preferred candidate - IBB wins the presidential ticket come 2011. |
faithin9ja:I wouldnt call america's investment in nigeria small are you aware that america imports 17% of its crude oil from nigeria? are you also aware that by 2015 that proportion is likely to increase to 30%? If africa was of such little importance to the west why did britain, germany, holland and italy invade, colonise and annexe africa in the 19th century? Also can you explain to me what the berlin conference of 1885 was about and while you are at it can you tell me why the british went to war with the dutch over south africa (the boer war)? Soon you will tell me the british settled in Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia) and Kenya just for the fun of it and the same with south africa, oh what about aparthied - what was all that about then, its either you have a very dim view of history or you are in total and utter denial. The current rulers of Britain and America are in their 40's and early 50's they have no recollection of colonial mentality, what's important to them is Europe, US, China, India. Did you know there are over 500,000 US businesses in China. If Nigeria was so important how many foreign western investments do we have excluding oil and gas extraction. If we are so important to them why is it that only Lebanese,Indian and a few South Africans are prepared to invest here? You are so misguided in your thinking!!! Britain and america are capitalist countries, they built their wealth on african slave labour. Their view of africa has remained the same - a source of cheap raw materials and labour. they are very much interested in investing in nigeria but only on their own terms, when the west talk about creating an economic environment favourable to foreign direct investment what do you think they mean? what they mean is they will only invest on their own terms, which means that they will come in and reorganise your economic system so that its set up in such a way that they are guaranteed limitless profit at the expense of the indigenous people, go to indonesia, thailand and haiti and you will see how american multinationals have set up sweat shops there where many workers earn as little as 15 cents an hour to make cheap manufactured goods (Haiti) - their modus operandi is always the same - they decide to invest in your country on the condition that you sell off all your govt services, devlaue your currency and abolish tarriffs whilst this benefits their own businesses it leads to a collapse in local businesses, this in turn creates high unemployment. IN the end indigenous workers end up working for these big multinationals for a pittance aand the multinationals are the only ones who benefit from this (as well as the nigerian leaders who have taken kickbacks for awarding them the contracts). The fact that the current leaders of britain and america are in their 40's and early 50's does not mean that the rules of the game have changed. It has always been about making profit - at any cost. Also britain and america are largely run and controlled by owners of big corporations - as a matter of fact these corporations dictate and control govt policy in those countries. So it doesnt really matter who is in power - the rules remain the same and the game remains the same. Britain and american leaders dance to the tune of the corporations like shell, cocacola, chevron, exxon mobil et al they go where they can make money and that is usually a place where you have human rights abuse, corrupt govt officials, non existent labour unions and non existent rule of law - like nigeria. The likes of Cameron, Blair and Brown are very much aware of what their forefathers did in order to make britain what it is today and they are proud of that legacy. To say that they dont care about colonialism is untrue. If they dont care about colonialism and its legacy why do the current western financial institutions like the IMF and the world bank continue to impoverish the african people by imposing economic policies on african countries which seek to destroy their economies rather than develop them? Violent OverthrowReally? And what sort of govt do you think the likes of IBB. OBJ and Abacha were running? are you aware of the fact that you are living in a police state? |
faithin9ja:the nigerian military is well equipped to brutalise, maim and murder its own people, i agree that it isnt equipped to defend itself from external attack but thats precisely what the western powers want My point is the philosophy of violence does not work in Africa or Nigeria in particular, all it does is create hundreds of groups killing each other- 72 hours ago you were saying MEND had the right idea, now we don't even know who planted the bomb and for what reason. You think if we kill IBB or GEJ the new people taking over will be any better? Bidem26 was suggesting that if some people are killed new people will be scared, how many heads of state of Nigeria have been killed? has it changed anything? After the bloody civil war in Liberia, who took over?a violent overthrow can work in nigeria if it is done in an organised way with unity of purpose, if the average nigerian can rise above tribalism and come together to face our real enemy - the nigerian elite, then it can work. Nigeria can never progress until all these old recycled bastards are removed from the system once and for all, it will be very easy to deal with their friends and cronies as well, just throw all of them in jail and give them llfe sentences - once you do that you will be sending out a clear message to any other potential crooks - steal and spend the rest of your natural life behind bars, you will see how quickly people will fall into line. No one has come to this forum to name his or her local government chairman that has neglected your local road instead you want to plant bomb - na so e easythese local govt chairmen are not the root of the problem they are merely components in a much bigger operation, if you get rid of the crooks at the top - the corrupt ones further down the food chain will fall into line and for the ones who choose to carry on stealing they will be faced with spending the rest of their natural life behind bars, beleive me when they start seeing their colleagues being given 50 and 60 year sentences for corruption a change will come over them. |
faithin9ja:You talk as if the nigerian gangster leaders do not perpetrate violence themselves , why does the nigerian govt spend millions of dollars on arms? Are we at war with anyone? The US and Britain are nigeria's highest arms suppliers. Since the 1970's the US and Britain has increased its supply of military aid to nigeria - why? I will tell you why it is because the west want to ensure that these criminals perpetuate themselves in power by having the best military trained troops and equipment to protect them that money can buy. Many nigerian officers were trained at sandhurst - an elite military academy in the UK, this is where many of them are groomed and taught how to terrorise their own people, the long term goal being that the west can rule through them indirectly just like in the old days when the british colonial officers used the local chiefs to oppress and exploit their own people - colonialism through the back door. This is the reason the US and Britain provide military aid and training to client states like nigeria, congo, egypt etc Violence and intimidation is what has kept these gangsters in power since 1960 so why are you talking as if violence is a new thing in nigeria. Im sure you are aware of how nigerian soldiers rampaged through the niger delta killing civilians indiscriminately, was that not violence? Our main enemy in nigeria today are nigerian gangster leaders working hand in hand with foreign powers such as the US and Britain to destroy nigeria and ensure we remain an economic basket case forever. |
faithin9ja:I am suprised that with all the experience that you have acquired, you have not been able to come up with any constructive advice on the way forward, you seem to be implying that we the exploited, disenfranchised people of nigeria should just continue to sit back, fold our arms and pray that god will come down from heaven and touch the hearts of the nigerian gangster leaders. Your statement about choosing plan B is a classic cop out used by the majority of nigerians who are too cowardly to challenge the status quo. Malcolm X was a courageous and valiant man who laid down his life for what he beleived in something you are yet to learn. He also advocated self defence in the face of violence, he would never have bought into your way of thinking as he was a principled man who put the love of his people above even his own personal safety. Before the civil rights movement in america, a black man could be lynched in the streets by a mob of whites for looking at a white woman the wrong way, a black woman could also be r.aped by a white man and the case would never go to court. A black person seated on a bus would have to offer his seat to a white person if the white person was standing, these are all the indignities that blacks were suffering on a daily basis in america before 1964 and it was because of this blacks decided to stand up and try to do something about it. Can you imagine if they had adopted your type of mindset? blacks all over the world would still be openly discriminated against in every western country in the world. And guess what your family wouldnt even be able to live with dignity in london because they would be hounded every where they would go by racist mobs, but in your myopic state you have totally overlooked this fact and instead you selfishly focus on doing only what is best for you! Today in nigeria, the average nigerian lives in grinding poverty, the housing conditions of the average nigerian are in a deplorable state , the average man can barely feed his family and suffers daily from intimidation and expoloitation from his own leaders. Is this any different from the apartheid system that existed in america before the civil rights movement? If the african americans had your type of mindset they woudl have said well, my business is doing okay, and even though things are bad im relatively better off than others so i'll just fold my hands and keep hoping that things change. It is because of people like you that nigeria will remain like this forever, you say you are an elder but what good example have you set for younger ones coming up - what is your advice? It is selfishness that will kill us but the day of reckoning is at hand because this oil revenue will not keep pouring in. If the west find an alternative source of energy nigeria will capsize like an atlantic cruise liner and people like you will go down with it. There are many people like you in nigeria who are only interested in looking out for their own self interest and that is why people like you hate groups like MEND because these people pose a threat to your gravy train. He who condones evil must surely be consumed by evil one day. I was a thug in a previous life, I have carried out violence on other peoples children, I have seen my friends die violently, even by firing squad in the 80's, I have done my time prison for small money, I have walked with the so-called militants, but I also know politicians, I have wined and dined with them in the best hotels in London. You have carried out violence on other people's children and you have still not learned the difference between right and wrong, surely as a reformed criminal you should be preaching against criminal organisations like the nigerian leadership not making excuses for them to remain in power. All this you guys are talking is empty rhetoric; some of you will be foolish enough to put your lives forward and die for nothing. You are extremely cynical and selfish, and you have no interest in nigeria becoming a place where the ordinary man can survive. You say your immediate family is in london - so? As foreigners they will never be accepted there and they will be made to feel that they do not belong, you can only be a king in your own country not in an another man's land. OK let us bomb, let us kill them, who are we killing? IBB, OBJ? Danjuma? GEJ ? Fayose? Orji Kalu? how many of them? who chooses the list, what of their brothers and in-laws that benefited from them being in power do we bomb them too? what of those that they went to school with and made millionaires by virtue of their position, we can't allow them escape because they may retaliate, so we must bomb them and kill them all, but what of their village people who might have have got some school fees money, we must eliminate them before they retaliate. Why do you think china is the powerful nation that it is today? Do you know it took them 70 years to have a complete purge of all undesirable elements from their system, all western puppets and saboteurs were removed from the system because the chinese communist system knew the danger that these people posed to the future of the country, thousands of people died in china in order for that nation to start from scratch and grow, so to answer your question if it means purging certain people from the system in order for nigeria as a nation to grow then it will have to be done if not the country will continue down its current route of anarchy and chaos. We encourage corruption; the Senator from my village, we will all rush to him to give us money for school fees, or my wife is sick or get posting for my daughter NYSC and we expect him not to be corrupt. All these things you have mentioned are symptoms of a system whose foundation was built on greed, selfishness, murder, brutality and wickedness, these symptoms can be eradicated once a complete purge of the system is carried out, if a grass roots movement emerges in nigeria similar to the ANC of south africa that can cut out the current cancer that exists in our govts then we can wipe the slate clean and start from scratch to re educate our people just like Mao Tse Tung did in China. |
@lanre thanks for posting that was a brilliant poem i'll rephrase that, @lanre thanks for posting salisu suleiman's poem |
rhymz:I didnt realise that things were this bad but i am beginning to realise that we are a race of cowards, can you imagine that a tiny clique of gangsters have held the nigerian people to ransome for the past 50 years , have perpertrated some of the worst atrocities known to man on their fellow citizens and yet there are people on here CONDEMNING MEND for launching attacks against these demons. I keep asking myself are nigerians a retarded race of people? Is it that we still havent evolved fully as human beings? You mentioned Rosa Parks - this was an ordinary housewife who stood up to challenge an entire system and the african americans got behind her to fight it. But then again the brutality that the nigerian govt has used to crush dissent is even worse than what Hitler and his Gestapo used in nazi germany, perhaps the fear of reprisals is what makes us so frightened. The thing is - nigerians must understand that as long as these gangsters remain in power there is no future for nigeria as a people. We are approaching the second half of the 21st century and still nigeria is yet to become an industrialised nation, we are serving a useful purpose for the west as a vast consumer market and a source of cheap crude oil and labour but for how long? things cannot continue like this indefinitely, there will be a day of reckoning very soon. The nigerian gangsters are too retarded to understand that they are signing our death warrant, they think that when everything goes bellyup in nigeria they will get the hell out to europe or america, they think they are safe but i can assure them that it will not end happily for them. I dont know whether we will ever find the courage to change our situation but the longer we delay it the worse our condition will become. A nigerian academic predicted that if nigeria does not industrialise by 2050 we should start looking forward to extinction as a race of people, I am inclined to beleive him. |
faithin9ja:Nigeria is already a fractured non nation and to tell you the truth if war breaks out in nigeria it will be worse than somalia or afghanistan because there is no unity of purpose amongst the nigerian people. At least in Somalia and Afghanistan the indigenous people recognise who their real enemy is. I have already said that nigeria is being forced together because of the oil in the south east (Niger Delta) so i am aware that all that talk about unity is pure trash. If nigeria breaks up the northerners will have to say goodbye to the oil reserves in the south which would be tantamount to economic suicide for them hence their determination to prevent the breakup of nigeria at all costs. These same northerners control the military, and i think it should be obvious to anyone that if you control the army you control the country. This is why the southerners are terrified because they fear a repeat of biafra. This same northern elite have played a game on southerners by renting some collaborators who are masquerading as leaders who have absolutely no allegiance or interest in the plight of the ordinary southerner i gave examples earlier of OBJ, Ibori, Jonathan, Orji Uzor Kalu, these people are saboteurs and their interest lies with their northern god fathers. Collectively all of these people are running a racket or gangster state which works NOT in the interest of their own people but in the interst of western financial organisations ie the world bank, IMF the EU and the US. the Abuja bombing is a warning to IBB, etc not to mess with GEJ.But have you not understood that IBB and GEJ are both on the same side? IBB has no interest in getting rid of a member of his own clique - what is the sense in that, THEY ARE ON THE SAME TEAM. But we as Nigerians ( I mean 90% of individual Nigerians) will do as bad as Abacha, IBB, OBJ, Ibori, Odili if we ever get to power. I pointed out the behaviour of so-called Militants because I know the havoc they wrecked on my business in Warri - are these the people you want to see in power? If you think they are not doing a good enough job come together and lets found an underground movement just as the black south africans did in order to get rid of apartheid. Do you have the courage to do what MEND did? can you cripple nigeria's crude oil production for months on end? do you not think that in doing that they have proved that the nigerian govt is not invincible? My friend you say you would rather chose MEND over our corrupt politicians, My friend there is NO choice they are one and the same. the govt knows MEND as MEND knows the govt. But would you be willing to risk your life the way those MEND boys risked theirs to challenge those psychopaths in power? Your greivance seems to be based on personal reasons and not objective ones. If we are to sit back and worry about how our business lost money and how people died in the chaos we will remain in bondage forever. What is your solution - that we continue year in year out, watching our children grow up with no future because it has been hijacked by a group of criminal gangsters. I think you are being very short sighted. |
faithin9ja:You say my views are simplistic and then you say we have had a war "IRONICALLY" over oil, what is ironic about the fact that the biafran war was over oil. Can you not see that it is precisely because of oil that the biafran war was fought - there is nothing ironic about that. Nigeria is held together forcefully BECAUSE OF OIL , the northerners HATE southerners particularly the igbos, however their love for stealing what does not belogn to them TRANSCENDS THEIR HATRED. As a result they are more than happy to continue to hold that artificial country they call nigeria together in order to keep r.aping the southerners and their natural resources into the ground. I dont know what God's grace has got to do with common sense, before you mention countries like Somalia you better go and research their histories, please do not make blanket statements that you do not understand, the war being fought in Somalia is also over OIL if you dont know, Somalia is sitting on top of billions of dollars worth of oil reserves and Somalia's former dictator promised Exxon Mobil, Chevron and other foreign oil companies bilions of dollars in oil concessions in that country PROVIDED they could end ongoing conflicts between various warlords and other factions fighting for overall control. You say there are no hausa people in asaba, yenagoa and bayelsa state govt houses, that is true, but would the likes of ibori, jonathan and co have got to where they are now without the support and finance given to them by the hausa fulani oligarchy? Who do you think are the ultimate king makers in nigerian politics? the hausa fulani or the igbo, yoruba, itsekiri or efik people? There is a pyramid of power in nigeria and the hausa fulani are at the top, they dictate who sits in govt house in bayelsa state or abia state, the likes of oji uzo kalu, ibori, etc are southern traitors or houseboys, these are rented political prost.titutes. who have been co-opted to sell out their own people . OBJ is also a very good example. Could OBJ get near the presidency without the support of the hausa fulani oligarchy? You better wake up and understand who the real power brokers in nigeria are. Those southern traitors have been rented by the northerners to rule as proxies, it is a sophisticated form of colonialism - the only difference is the colonialists are now black. If i have to chose between MEND and nigerian gangster leaders I will choose MEND anyday because the nigerian gangster leader's plan for nigerians is endless indebtedness to foreign financial institutions, mass poverty, mass unemployment, and economic collapse of the entire country. |
jabbok:thanks bros, the amnesty programme was nothign more than a temporary measure used by the nigerian govt to play for more time, the nigerian govt are not interested in addressing any of the needs or concerns of the niger delta people, all they want is for business to carry on as usual. They paid off a few militants hoping that the movement would cease its activities so that they could go on with their looting jamboree at the expense of the nigerian people, but my question is how long can we continue to allow these people to keep taking advantage of us in this way? As i said earlier these people are gangsters, why would a gangster explain to you why he is stealing your money and destroying your life, I think it is farcical to sit around and wait for these people to explain what they did with billions of dollars in oil revenue because IT IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. The only language they understand is violence because that is what they have been using on the nigerian populace for the past 50 years - go and ask the igbos and they will tell you more. Therefore to expect a bunch of criminal gangsters to come and account to you about what they did with your oil revenue will be an infinite waste of precious time and energy, they have to be treated in the same way that they have been treating us for the past 50 years. Also you are right in saying IBB's SAP was another mago mago, but i would go further to say that SAP was a carefully contrived plan devised by american and european financial institutions and implemented by IBB and his cronies to gradually strip nigeria of the bulk of its foreign reserves and decapitate any attempt by nigeria to become an industrialised nation. This was done by the devalution of our currency, cutting of public expenditure and sale of public services to foreign investors. Also the cuts in education ensured that we would have a nation of young people ill equipped to function and compete with western nations in the 21st century and therefore incapable of posing any threat to western control/hegemony. I agree that the attacks need to be co-ordinated. |
justwise:Is that what those nigerian gangster leaders told you, or is that the conclusion you came to all on your own? I have to give respect to MEND for the fact that through their sabotaging of the pipelines in the niger delta they were able to drastically reduce the amount of crude oil that was being produced in the niger delta which caused those gangster's endless gravy train of stolen oil revenue to go into meltdown. Not only that, this action alone caused the price of a barell of oil on the world stock exchange to go from $54 per barrell in 2006 to almost $145 per barrell in 2008 causing the US (nigeria's largest importer of crude oil) to convene an emergency meeting in order to "resolve" this crisis - why? because if oil prices kept spiralling upwards that would have triggered a recession in the US economy, the nigerian gangsters would now be in a critical situation as the US would start leanign on them to bring down oil prices by any means necessary or risk "external intervention" - are you beginning to see the bigger picture now? Can you see why MEND are heroes and the nigerian govt are a bunch of gangsters working AGAINST the interests of their own people? |
justwise:But you sound even more useless by going as far as calling MEND criminals when nigeria is a gangster state run by criminals who openly comitt murders, rampage through civilian areas killing, rap.ing and maiming innocent civilians. Why are you so quick to call MEND criminals but you bow down before a bunch of gangster leaders who have stolen over $100 billion USD of nigeria's public funds - is that not madness?? Have MEND appropriated billions of dollars worth of public funds into their private foreign accounts?? Is it MEND who colludes with western powers to keep their fellow citizens, poor, destitute and backward? No wonder the country is riddled with armed robbery, kidnappings and murders, even in rich countries where the govt provides for its citizens people still go into crime, talk less of a gangster state like nigeria where it is every man to himself. |
jabbok:Fine well why not lets organise in order to make this possible , is that not how the ANC started out!! did they not start by sabotaging govt installations? The thing many of you have failed to understand is that you are living in a police state run by gangsters, these gangsters who are masquerading as leaders view we the nigerian people with about as much compassion as a lion would view a deer. THEY DO NOT GIVE A shi.t ABOUT ANY OF US AND THEY HAVE NO INTENTION OF MAKING THINGS BETTER FOR ANY OF US, EVEN IF IT MEANS SELLING NIGERIA LOCK STOCK AND BARRELL TO THE WEST THEY WILL DO IT AS LONG AS THEY GET THEIR USUAL KICKBACKS. How then can you look upon these demons with anything other than hatred? |
justwise:Im actually at the airport now writing this, loser!! I knew it would just be a matter of time before you cockroaches would start coming out of the woodwork. Keep hanging on waiting for Jonathan and his fellow gangsters to share out the oil revenue, you will wait until eternity - rubbish. |
Reading a lot of the comments on here has made me realise that as a people we are not yet ready to free ourselves from the enslavement of the hausa fulani oligarchy. there are people on here shouting about how MEND are killing innocent people - really? Let me make something clear to all of you who think that because you are walking around, breathing and eating that means you are alive, first of all if you live in a country where you are oppressed by your fellow citizen to the extent that he condemns you to a life of grim poverty, unemployment, deplorable housing, non existent health care facilities, collapsed education system - what do you think he is doing to you? is he not killing you. Fair enough you may not die instantly but you are dying gradually because your quality of life is so substandard that your every waking second is a struggle, is that a life worth living? And before all of you fake religious nuts start bleating about how god will take care of everything while you fold your hands and cower away in those your fake churches and mosques, answer this question for me - do you know of any nation in this world that acheived freedom for its people through praying and singing "we shall overcome". I find it so depressing that MEND have attempted to do what 150 million people of the so called giant of africa are too frightened to do and are now being condemned for it. Some fools are talking about how you should not meet violence with violence, is that so - perhaps if you were from Odi or Gbamaratu you would be singing a different tune, perhaps if you witnessed the way nigerian soldiers rampaged through those villages killing men, ra.ping women and young girls in front of their families, and shooting young men at point blank range you wouldnt be so quick to condemn MEND. It is only in nigeria that you will find people willing to side with the same people who have abused, degraded and exploited them for 50 years against those who are actually trying to do something to change that situation. Nigeria's elite are very fortunate that they are ruling over the world's most weak minded, ignorant and brainwashed set of individuals that ever walked the face of this earth - giant of africa my arse!!! |
edoyad:Yes lets continue to enjoy a life of servitude and squalor under the heel of the hausa fulani oligarchy. By the way it seems you are unaware of the fact that nigeria is actually an artificial construct created by a member of the british aristocracy who went by the name Lord Lugard. It is on record that Lugard beleived that nigerians were nothign more than savages and one night whilst enjoying a quiet evening with his girlfriend he asked her to suggest a name for this large land mass that he had succeeded in melding together into one large area, his girlfriend suggested nigeria or nigger area, Lugard laughed hysterically and thought it would be a laugh to call this awful mosquitoe infested hell hole nigger area and so thats how the name stuck, he later modifed it to nigeria as it sounded less offensive - that's the country you want us to prevent from fragmenting. the 2 million barrels of oil being pumped daily - are you benefitting from it? are you likely to benefit from it in the next 50 years? I have a feeling the answer to both questions is a resounding NO!!!! |
tpiah:Usually when you disagree with someone you explain why, but i see that your pea brain cannot transmit adequate information across at any one time without going into spasms, pray tell, what is it that I am fooling myself about and what is this great truth that is bitter oh wise one? |
Quote from Sbeezy8And your point is ![]() Are you so dumb that you can't see that Jonathan is part of Nigeria's ruling elite and therefore has absolutely no connection whatsoever with MEND. So, in your book because Jonathan is from the Niger Delta he will automatically have an allegiance to MEND - how dumb? The nigerian elite make up just 1 % of the nigerian population but they are enjoying 95% of the wealth of the country, they are not only from the north there are some southern traitors in that group too and Jonathan is one of them so wake up and stop deceiving yourself into thinking that because he is from the niger delta he has some sort of hidden allegiance with MEND. |
Kobojunkie:I didnt think you would see the connection, of course I am showering praises on the only group of people in a country of 150 million people who haven't understood that in this life if you don't stand up and fight for justice it will never be given to you on a platter as many deluded fools on here think. Think of any great nation in the world and tell me if they did not acheive that greatness through violent revolution, the US that you live in, how did they become an independent nation was it not by going to war with their colonial masters Great Britain? If you think that the oil revenue in nigeria will ever be shared equitably amongst nigerians without having to fight for that to happen then you are serviously delusional. My question remains, how do you conclude they are intelligent when they have, over YEARS, consistently avoided directly inflicting havoc on those you deem PSYCHOPATHIC BASTARDS but have not held back from inflicting pain on innocent civilians. They are intelligent because they suceeded in drastically reducing the crude oil production level from the niger delta region which is what those bastards have been growing fat on for the past 50 years, how did they do this? by sabotaging the pipelines and kidnapping foreign workers, when those psychopathic bastards realised that their gravy train was about to be derailed they were forced to sit up and take notice and before long the bastards started offering them amnesty deals, you think if MEND had been holding peaceful demonstrations and singing: "we shall overcome " any of this would have happened? Have you forgotten what OBJ did to the people of Odi and Gbamaratu when all they did was engage in peaceful demonstrations? Side? We really need to pick sides in this? Come on! We are not all dimwits, especially when there is really one side to even this.OF COURSE WE NEED TO PICK SIDES because this is about our future as a people, a time will come when nigerians will have nowhere to run to and the only option open to us will be to choose a life of eternal slavery under the hausa fulani oligarchy or freedom, to be honest that time is already here. |
Dolemite:Is your mother one of Jonathans hoes? I thought as much. If you dont mind living like a slave in your fatherland and allowing 95% of the wealth of nigeria to be appropriated by 1% of the population then why don't you come out and say so? Has MEND comitted 1/4 of the atrocities that IBB, OBJ have comitted? Did MEND blow $101 billion dollars over a 50 year period and have nothing to show for it except, pot holed roads, non existant power or water supply, open sewers in residential areas, mass unemployment, massive brain drain and all round economic collapse? Listen carefully dummy so that you stop making a fool of yourself, nigeria is the 6th largest exporter of crude oil in the world and yet its citizens live worse than most haitians, until you stand up and learn to fight for justice you will remain a slave in your father's land. when the ANC started out were they not bombing govt installations, do you think if they had sat tight and waited for god to come down from heaven to deliver them out of the hands of the racist aparthied govt they would have smashed the aparthied govt. I know that most nigerians are known for having very low IQ's but your stupidity and ignorance takes my breath away. |
Kobojunkie:so let me get this right - because MEND have not succeeded in hitting their target to date we should condemn them and congratulate these psychopathic bastards for having water tight security?? Whose side are you actually on, please spell out whether you are one of those arse lickers who are getting a few crumbs from the table, i have never understood the mentality of nigerian people, this now explains why the likes of IBB and Jonathan will rape this country into oblivion, with dim witted sychophants like you around why should they have anything to fear? |
Im so proud of those MEND boys, at least we still have some people in nigeria who are intelligent enough to understand that the only language that those psychopathic bastards will ever understand is the language of violence. I only pray that next time they suceed in killing a few of those ugly bastards , perhaps they could focus on bombing key govt locations rather than areas where civllian density is high. I'd love to turn on the tv and find out that the whole of the nigerian national assembly has been wiped off the face of this earth from one bomb explosion, these animals will never budge from their position until some of them start being killed. I think we need to organise and form an underground movement capable of doing a lot of damage to them, since this oil is their lifeline it should be cut off so that nobody benefits from it and then lets see how far they get, my only fear is the west will come running to their rescue and we will have a repeat of Biafra, but to be honest if we dont want our children and our grandchildren to be born into slavery this is the only option open to us. |
When I described this "Dame" Patience as a bush primary school teacher, people said i was talking like someone in a beer parlour but it is evident from this incident that that is exactly what she is, look at how she degrades nigerians by making them scramble for food like desperate refugees, (the scramble for bags of rice reminded me of the Haitian earth quake victims) you only have to look at her face to know what sort of person she is. Nigeria generates more than enough revenue from oil to sufficiently feed its people and still have extra money left over so why has this illiterate taken it upon herself to pretend as if she is saving nigerians from starvation by dishing out bags of rice with stolen money? Why should this uneducated woman be given credit for doing somethign which shoudl be done automatically by the nigerian govt? This is a woman who has been desperate to get her hands on money, being a primary school teacher means that she has suffered a lot of financial deprivation, but what stands out the most about her and that her husband is how unrefined and backward they sound and behave. These people are the proverbial poor relatives who have now inherited their masters wealth and who now intend to make up for lost time. Can someone explain to me how these peasants have managed to amass such humongous amounts of money as ordinary teachers (although Jonathan describes himself as a lecturer, but his limited intellectual ability tells a different story) Can someone please explain what happened to the EFCC charges for money laundering that "Dame" Patience was initially indicted on This pairs behaviour speaks volumes, consider the fact that in a space of just EIGHT MONTHS the pair of them managed to steal $35m USD and N105m respectively from the bayelsa state treasury!!!! Imagine what life is going to be like for nigerians under this primitive woman and her equally backward husband, imagine the billions they are getting ready to syphon, imagine the way she will ride through the slums of nigeria throwing out food scraps with crowds of starving nigerians trampling over each other to get to the scraps. TO FOIST THIS WOMAN AND HER HUSBAND ON THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE IS NOTHING SHORT OF A TRAGEDY, HOW CAN WE AS A PEOPLE ALLOW THIS ILLITERATE COUPLE TO LEAD NIGERIA!!!!!!! |
debosky:You sound like a casualty of a mind control programme with all this trash you keep coming out with. Are you telling me that that Rilwan Lukman could unilaterally come up with a bill and singlehandedly enact it without the commander in chief's authorisation? The ONLY reason Yardie was listening to the Chinese was because they made an offer - beyond that, no deals were made so stop this ridiculous attempt to paint him as some kind of nationalist defender.really, so why was a $23 billion dollar deal btwn nigeria and china to build 3 oil refineries signed up to and implemented shorlty before Yaradua's death? The fact is, he will get kickbacks from WHOMEVER we trade with - be it Chinese or US. The only question is, who will give bigger kickbacks? Obviously the Chinese cos they'll let you do anything as long as you give them what they want. You are a cynical dimwit, why would Yaradua risk his life for a few extra bits of change , why upset a 50 year relationship with shell and the american oil companies when his life would be on the line, you are not making any sense. Why can't you accept that Yaradua actually negotiated these deals in the interest of the nigerian people. Don't be daft - Tell me how the 'deals' we have destroy our economy despite we collecting over 85% of the revenues? The NNPC controls the entire oil industry by proxy, BUT because THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT only interested in royalties and payments and NOT doing the actual oil and gas production, National capability has not been developed.NNPC has a 60% stake in nigeria's oil revenues not 85% but lets not split hairs. Nigeria's relationship with the western oil companies is extremely exploitative, they determine the price and they also impose economic policies on the nigerian economy designed to create poverty, unemployment and debt dependency. They encourage massive borrowing by way of IMF and world bank loans which are designed to keep us on a downward spiral. Your ability for creating outlandish theories can only be matched by a prolific ganja smoker. For GEJ who has simply been the eternal spare tyre to be given credit for displacing Yar'adua is the most imbecilic comment I've read so far. A man that was so cowardly as to be unable to control anything till the Governors and Legislators gave it to him on a plate?Eternal spare part who some how made it to the highest seat in the land, spare part who conveniently happened to be in the right place at the right time - give me a break!!! If he was so dispensable why wasnt he edged out by the hausa fulani oligarchy prior to him assuming office as acting president? While having no shred of proof to back this up, I must conclude you are auditioning for a career in fiction writing. OBJ put Yardie there so he would die, so GEJ would take over and sell our reserves to the US not so? Everything must be a conspiracy to you - you can't simply accept the patent incompetence of the leaders you have - it must be some 'grand design' supporting your prurient conspiracy theories. There is such a thing as being an accessory to a crime and this is what nigeria's politicians are - they are aiding and abetting western financial organisations in the whole sale plunder of nigeria and its natural resources, to argue that they are incompetent is to imply that their intentions are genuine but they simply are incapable of carrying out the job, my argument is that they are not even interested in doing anything positive for nigeria and its people, their sole objective is to collaborate with foreigners to rob us blind. They received compensation from Shell to forestall further court action PRECISELY because of Saro Wiwa's execution. You would do well to read up on issues before concocting moronic theories.I dont think you read the judges decision in this case, here is an excerpt of the presiding judges decision in Wiwa et al v Shell: Chief Judge Dennis Jacobs and Judge Jose Cabranes said in a written ruling that the claims could not be allowed under the statute. They said the trial judge, who declined to dismiss some claims against Shell, should have thrown out all claims. "We hold, under the precedents of the Supreme Court and our own Court over the past three decades, that in ATS(Alien Tort Statutes) suits alleging violations of customary international law, the scope of liability -- who is liable for what -- is determined by customary international law itself," the ruling said. It noted that no corporation has ever been subject to any form of civil or criminal liability under the international law of human rights. "We hold that corporate liability is not a discernible -- much less universally recognized -- norm of customary international law that we may apply pursuant to the ATS. "Accordingly, plaintiffs' ATS claims must be dismissed for lack of subject matter jurisdiction," Judges in the US Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit in New York ruled that until the Supreme Court deemed otherwise, corporations could not be held liable in US courts for violations of international human rights law. http://www.upstreamonline.com/live/article229971.ece That should make it clear to you that multinational organisations are above the law and cannot be held liable for human rights violations. If the west was behind this as you claim, how come the ONLY legal challenges to the actions of the oil companies is happening in the West?Because despite the west's nefarious activities in africa, it is still the only place where a plaintiff is likely to receive some semblance of justice. However there are limitations, and those limitations are likely to apply where the defendant is a powerful multinational coporation like Shell. Also what person in their right mind would initiate legal proceedings against a corporation as powerful as shell in a country like nigeria and live to tell the story let alone secure any form of justice. There is no grand conspiracy with GEJ as the figure head - it remains to be seen how much inroads the Chinese will make into Nigeria, but one thing is sure - they are getting established in Ghana, Angola and even Nigeria through Addax and SINOPEC. GEJ's position on whether to be US leaning or China leaning remains to be seen.Fine , beleive what you want to beleive and continue to bury your head in the sand. Nigeria's fate has already been predetermined by the nigerian elite and their puppet masters |
debosky:BULLSH.IT!!! if that were true Yaradua would never have challenged the US and Europe, he would have been content with the cut he was getting from shell, Chevron and Exxon Mobil, instead he chose to go with the chinese , why would he risk the ire of the west and his life, when he could still get rich on the kickbacks and bribes from the west? So many nations nationalised their oil resources then, but almost all of them (including Iran) are now seeking foreign investment - from Algeria to Libya to even many gulf states, they are inviting the same companies they kicked out back in.You are talking pure trash - there is a difference between seeking foreign investment ON YOUR OWN TERMS and where you are being COERCED INTO ACCEPTING A DEAL WHICH DESTROYS THE ECONOMIC PROSPECTS OF YOUR COUNTRY. Is Libya's economy in the same shape as nigeria's economy? Is Iran an economic basket case saddled with IMF and world bank loans? Please stop spouting all these lies. The conspiracy, in case you don't understand the word, is your fallacious and insane assertions that GEJ orchestrated Yardie's death in order to let the US have their way. Pray tell. . . .did GEJ cause Yardie's kidney failure when he was in charge in Katsina as well?Your immaturity and naivity is so embarrassing - what is insane about a coup d'etat? Do you have any understanding of Nigeria's history at all? How did Gowon come to power? was it not through a coup d'etat? how about Buhari, Babangida and Abacha - were they democratically elected or did they shoot their way into office? Like i said your naivity is embarrassing. Let me spell it out for you - OBJ deliberately chose an ailing man knowing full well that he would not be capable of taking on the herculean task of presiding over a country as volatile as nigeria, but just in case he stubbornly refused to die on seat a contingency plan had already been put in to place to make sure he would never make it to a second term, hence his mysterious disapperance to Saudi Arabia on indefinite medical leave. You see the nigerian elite know that the majority of nigerians don't reason properly, notice how nobody even demanded to see Yaradua's body, the nigerian population were so brainwashed they allowed themselves to be browbeaten into accepting that Yaradua actually died of kidney related complications. You must be a complete simpleton to believe Africom will stop Chinese interests - they already control oil production in Sudan, recently signed 13b worth of loans to get access to Ghanaian oil and are spending BILLIONS building stadiums and Infrastructure in Angola in exchange for oil.Is that so? and is america allowing them to get away with this? What do you think all this noise about darfur is about ? Do you not understand that the americans are trying to destabilise Sudan in order to oust China from this region, go and find out who is behind all the negative propaganda about darfur and then you will understand the power of the US propaganda machine. Your claims that AFRICOM is supposed to fend off the Chinese is laughable - if fending them off results in signing $13bn worth of loans to Ghana, buying over of Addax and their associated facilities in Nigeria and the humongous building projects in Angola, then the word must have gotten a new definition.Lets wait and see how successful China will be in securing those deals, better still lets see whether China will remain in africa once AFRICOM troops are deployed to the continent. Don't be silly - how come it is in the same West that Shell was taken to court and forced to pay compensation? How come it was in the same West that Chevron is fighting to prevent claims being made against it for abusing human rights?I dont know where you are getting your information from but last I checked Ken Saro Wiwa's relatives case against Shell was thrown out by a US judge, i understand that they received compensation in respect of other issues but not in respect of saro wiwa's execution. http://www.upstreamonline.com/live/article229971.ece The pollution caused in the delta and the killings are the fault of one body alone - the Federal Government. They will overlook the worst atrocities just to continue to keep the oil flowing and revenue into their coffers. Keep chasing the West as the problem when your silly leaders are the cause.WAKE UP!!! IT IS A JOINT EXERCISE !!! THE NIGERIAN GOVT COULD NOT CRUSH MEND WITHOUT ARMS AND MILITARY AID FROM BRITAIN AND THE US - IGNORANCE IS A DISEASE!!!!!!!!! |
Imagine this animal having the balls to thump his chest and talk about free and fair elections!!!!! As someone said earlier men like this can only exist in a banana republic like nigeria. Could this man try such in countries like Cuba, Iran, Venezuela or even south africa and go scott free - gosh this man needs to pay for what he has done to this country. This shows you that this man knows that nigerians are the most s.tu.pid people on the face of this planet, after everything he has done he still has the nerve to talk about moving on - to where if i may ask - more IMF debt, more austerity, more poverty, more state sanctioned murders and repression by the nigerian police state!!! For christs sake what does this man take nigerians for? |
debosky:Your myopia never ceases to amaze me, so you actually think that the nigerian govt will shut down an operation which is turning them into overnight millionaires and multimillionaires by running NNPC for the benefit of the nigerian people? Isnt that a bit like expecting an armed robber who is raiding a bank to restrict himself to stealing only a few hundred dollars as opposed to stealing millions? Tell me why a nigerian govt official whose sole aim for going into office was to rob his own people would suddenly develop a conscience? When the Shah of Iran (a US puppet) was in power did he reform the oil industry so that the oil revenue trickled down to his people? Didnt it take the iranian revolution of 1979 to dislodge him and his corrupt western backers? Wasnt it this same revolution that led to the nationalisation of the iranian oil industry thereby enabling a complete overhaul of the inequitable foundation that existed before? People like you deserve what you get in terms of leadership - who ever said that there was a conspiracy involving china and the US - please listen carefully so that you dont miss it again - THERE IS AN ONGOING POWER TUSSLE BETWEEN CHINA AND THE US FOR CONTROL OF OUR OIL RESERVES - how is that a conspiracy? a conspiracy is something conducted under cover and in secret - this is very much out in the open although it will take ages for people like you to understand what is going on. The US are about to deploy troops to Africa in order to "provide regional security" which is code for - fend off any potential activities from militant groups or other interested foreign (Chinese) investors - this deployment of troops is known as AFRICOM, havent you heard? Or are you still too busy engaging in a futile argument about the contents of Jonathan's bank account? Traitorous Jonathan has already sealed the deal, its all done and dusted while you sit here engaging in a futile argument about the contents of his bank account. http://www.leadershipeditors.com/ns/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=15945:nigeria-us-sign-pact-on-regional-security&catid=51:cover-stories&Itemid=101 Okay so China doesnt give two sh.ts about human rights, what about the US and Europe are they champions of human rights? Correct me if I am wrong but was it not british/dutch owned Shell who gave the order to Abacha to have Ken Saro Wiwa executed? And is it not the same Shell who have turned the niger delta region into one of the world's worst sites of environmental degradation? And is it not the british govt under orders from Shell who sold millions of dollars in military hardware to Yaradua in order to crush MEND? Oh boy I dont know what your problem is but you need to wake up and open your eyes to the real problems of nigeria rather than waste your time on a futile debate. |
debosky:Absolutely, but i don't expect you to believe it as the average nigerian is very slow to catch on and only realises that things are awry when he is neck deep in sh.it. this is why nigerian leaders continue to fool us year after year. by the way why is it so difficult to accept that Jonathan would be complicit in Yaradua's demise? Wasn't Gowon implicated in murtala muhammed's assassination. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. |
netotse the US's link with nigeria explains why jonathan is where he is today, it also demonstrates the futility of even discussing whether he will win or not. Everything has been pre determined. why waste your energy discussing jonathan's assets we all know he is a thief who has no good intentions for nigeria. To be honest a discussion on jonathan's assets is an exercise in futility as he is bound to lie about what they really are. |
The grim truth beaf, is that you are totally out of your depth when it comes to undestanding the reason why nigeria is in the mess that its in, your blind hero worship at the alter of Jonathan gives me an insight into your limited reasoning skills. You claim that all i spout are conspiracy theories, if that were true I seem to be in very good company as some of the most erudite and intellectual thinkers in the world also believe that western imperialism is the root cause of the downward spiral that nigeria is currently engaged in. A lecture given by some western anti imperialist activists explained in detail the link between US imperialism and oil politics in africa, asia and the middle east, listen and learn. Here are some of the comments made by one of the speakers on the relationship between the US and africa: US imports from africa surpassed those from the middle east for the first time in 2006. West africa alone sits on top of 15% of the world's oil supply and by 2015 the region is projected to supply up to 25% of the US's domestic consumption. The top four players in this scenario are: Nigeria, Angola, Libya and Algeria - Nigeria is the 8th largest exporter of crude oil in the world. Its not just nigeria that the western powers are interested in - they are also very much interested in the gulf of guinea region as oil has also been discovered in countries in this region such as equatorial guinea and gabon. A power tussle for control of nigeria's oil reserves is currently underway and this power tussle is between china and the US. The US are determined to retain their position of control over african oil reserves and want china out of the region hence their decision to deploy military troops to the continent for "regional security" aka AFRICOM. Yaradua was in favour of trading with china over the US. China overtook the US last year as africa's major trading partner, in the past year China began closing in on a greater share of nigeria's oil reserves much to the dismay of the US. Unlike THE US, China's approach to securing oil deals went hand in hand with undertaking development projects this was a major source of concern to the west because this would mean that africa would no longer need to secure funding for such projects by way of their world bank and imf loans. It also meant that african nations would no longer be locked into an endless cycle of debt and dependency as a result of taking on these loans. African nations would no longer have to devalue their currency, cut public expenditure, slash employment and sell off public services to foreign owned private investors who would then buy up these companies at basement bargain prices making billions in profit in the process. In other words america and europe's recolonisation of africa by way of their financial institutions would come to an untimely end. Unscrupulous ijaw crook Jonathan on the other hand couldnt wait to barter a deal with america which would enable him to hand nigerian oil reserves to the predatory US oil companies and financial institutions, he in turn would be guaranteed limitless wealth just like IBB and OBJ before him, there was just one snag - Yaradua was in the way and he needed to be removed from the picture as he preferred to deal with china rather than the US. This is where this traitorous low life came into the picture, he colluded with the americans, Yaradua was "neutralised" and the baton was handed to him. Now we have the likes of brainwashed psychophant Beaf singing his praises from the rooftop and begging for another 8 years of austerity, looting and despair. BEAF LEARN TO LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE - THIS IS A TUSSLE FOR CONTROL OF OIL RESERVES IN NIGERIA BETWEEN CHINA AND THE US AND JONATHAN IS A TOOL BEING BY THE US IN ORDER FOR THEM TO ACHEIVE THEIR GOAL. THE US's HOLD ON OIL RESERVES IN PLACES LIKE IRAQ ARE SLIPPING HENCE THEIR HEIGHTENED INTEREST IN AFRICA AND NIGERIA IN PARTICULAR. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh5o3oWurGM |
Beaf:Instead of resorting to your usual default position of saying that the person is a conspiracy theorist why dont you try rebutting some of the arguments that i have come up with? Could it be because you have none? The CIA's activities in africa , asia and Latin america are well documented and known to most intelligent people but perhaps thats why you are totally in the dark about them |
How i wish you can say that to me in real person, yall take advantage of internet to spew gibberish and try to be an internet gangster, am not gonna abuse or diss, i am grown above that, but i wish you gudluck in continuing to bring someone else down, even M.K.O Abiola was accused of being a fraud so am not really suprised about Nigerians,
ooh im shaking in my boots at the thought of what you would do to me if i said that to you in person - you are fortunate that "dumb" is the only adjective that i used to describe you - numbskull!!! |
