TravelRe: UK Ends Free NHS Care For Foreign Students & Immigrants by cap28: 2:13pm On Oct 08, 2013
pappilo: You are chatting rubbish. I am an immigrant (legal). I have had an ambulance come out to me about 4 times and had 2 children on the NHS. All completely free. I pay my taxes and I am entitled to it. My sister came over, had her children here and paid full price because she wasnt entitled to a free service. It costs money to run the NHS and if you havent contributed into it you have no righy to draw from it. Hold your leaders accountable. They all run here to treat minor ailments with your money, Tinunbu, PEJ, Sullivan Chime, Yar Adua, Suntai, Atiku to name a few.

Bear in mind, the NHS will take care of anybody that presents himself at a hospital, illegal or not. They will only try to recover costs after you've been discharged. I believe the current successful recovery rate is under 5%. Now compare this with Nigeria where an accident victim fast losing blood MUST pay a registration fee and deposit before being attended to.
Access to the NHS is not free - your taxes pay for it.

Also its currently being privatised by the Tories - very soon everyone will have to pay for it each time they use it.

thoth: You misunderstood Cap28’s post and I blame your ignorant of African and especially Nigerian history for that, He is actually speaking to people who actually knew how things ACTUALLY WORKS and not people who THINKS they knew.
Before I go on to explain I think it is important to point out that your kind is what the Intelligence community refers to as “Good Kook” because you don’t know the origins of your problems, you are rather aware of the effects so the Imperialist love people like you because you will always act the “African way” you are predictable because they know you don’t even understand your problem and they know the problems you will tackling are not actually the real problem though in your all knowing mind you believe you are getting it right. That is why many African nations have tried to liberate themselves but just imploded within and found themselves I a worse mess than they are before.
Knowing the actual problem is the Key and the problem is what Cap28 is trying to elucidate.

Lets list it as problems and effects.

Problems:

We have very bad leadership that is a fact but we have to ask ourselves how did we end up with such people. It is clear to any enlightened individual that since the colonization of Nigeria and many African countries we have not chosen our leaders rather they were imposed on us. Great leaders whom has tried to develop the nation has either been assassinated by the West (Murtala Mohammed, Gen Sani Abacha, Tunde Idiagbon) and the others were overthrown (Buhari etc) then western puppet leaders and ministers were imposed on us(Headbanging,Obasanjo,Shagari). These leaders prioritize the western destructive interests above that of the nation(masses) the west gives them list of their minions to nominate to further and more precisely exploit the nations (Okonjo Iweala, many ex Shell/chevron staffs etc, World bank/IMF staffs) the result of that is the west has total control of almost every sector of the country. With those leaders in place they can further play the masses and divide them according to tribal, religious or economic lines. What those leaders stand to gain for their servitude to the west is that they can under the western/European protection loot the nation dry as long as they expose the resources the west wants, use their military to put pressure on non-aligned leaders both within or outside the country. They can murder and massacre the people and the west will turn a blind eye and rather extol them.(odi massacre, Zaki -ibiam massacre, Obasanjo’s list of political assassinations, Babangida’s list of assassinations etc)

Effects:

A very popular Russian saying goes “the fish rots from the head” and it is well known that a people or nation is a reflection of their leaders, Cap28 pointed out that Nigeria produces enough oil to give its citizens a very good life but as you can the from the effect of the White supremacist impositions those resources gets looted and what you have instead is poverty, all the foreign investments that should have been beneficial to Nigerians were not so because the sort of deal that backs these investments in this country is rather exploitative than developmental. In fact the whole situation came about from these impositions, those puppet tyrants have the support of the imperialists to kill and persecute any person that wants to effect a change since such changes does not benefit the puppet leaders and their western masters.
SO in all the rot can whole be attributed to the western interventions in Black man’s development.

There are many publications on this on the African Journal and I can offer you many if you don’t know where to find one.
People should first of all arm themselves with the knowledge of their history before trying to debate on issues which asks for proper understanding.
God bless you my brother for being one of the very few intelligent voices on this forum, I will respond to inverted hammer later.

Ugosample: There is no excuse for your failure. We keep talking about slave trade. How many whites owned slaves (or could afford them) Do you also know that many whites in the USA then were indentured servants (another euphemism for slavery) Those days are gone. Forge ahead. The Asians were also exploited (in some cases worse than Africa) e.g. China by Japan and Russia, India by Britain and the list continues. But they put that behind them and they are now a force to be reckoned with. We are always decieved into believing that it is our natural resources that sustain the world. That's not completely true. Take the case of oil. More than 70 percent of the world's crude oil lies in the middle east, in food production, most of the developed world have attained self sufficiency due to technology, but we who claim to be feeding the world are starving. The list is endless because if i continue, space will faik me. The solution to Africa's woes is to UNITE as one, diversify our produce to promote intra regional trade, shun tribalism (lagos comes to mind) and ethnhc chauvenism. And lastly, we should kill Corruption. With my submission, Africa will move forward.
Many whites did not own slaves but they benefitted from the wealth generated by the slave trade - today many whites can go out there and get whatever job they want, live wherever they want, go anywhere in the world with no hindrances , you and I know that the average black person can not do the same.

just to correct you - indentured servitude is not the same thing as enslavement - indentured servitude meant that you worked for someone without pay for about 7to 10 years and were then released to seek paid employment as a free man or woman, enslavement on the other hand meant life long servitude to your master forever - to make matters worse it also applied to your children and their children.

Asians were never enslaved, china was colonised but fought and defeated their oppressors that's why they have full control over their economic destiny, even tiny Vietnam fought and defeated two western powers France and the United States and this is why Asians are respected by eurpeans and americans while Africans are not.

The Europeans and americans feared the Japanese so much they dropped two atom bombs on their country to prevent them from ever becoming a military and economic threat to them, despite this the average Japanese American is accepted by a white American more than a black American.

Indians again are treated better than Africans by Europeans and americans - the truth of the matter is that there is a hierarchy of races in the western world and black Africans are at the bottom (but not white south Africans who are treated like Europeans)

Nigeria is the world's fifth largest crude oil exporter and therefore should be in a position to offer its citizens a decent standard of living, Nigeria should be able to make decisions free from western interference, decisions which benefit its citizens and stop the mass brain drain of able bodied men and women who are ending up in western countries who don't even value their contributions.

As is stated earlier until the rotten Nigerian elite are removed permanently from the corridors of power our progress will remain nothing more than a figment of our imagination.

the one thing I agree with you about though is the need for African peoples to unite - that is the only way we can defeat the racist and barbaric system of white supremacy but time is running out..........

rusher14: What of individuals like Dr. Dre who would be netting an estimated $250 million personally from his beats by Dre's headphones sales to some other corporation.
The same Dre who with his notorious NWA crew said 'f**k the police' from their 'straight out of Compton' album and was subject to FBI action?
How come - 'The Man' hasn't brought him down?
Come off it!
Who is your role model?
It's not Diddy.
Not okonjo Iweala
And one can conclude it's not Cosby.
I guess it's the likes of Ibori and Alams that we should herald.
You claim these Americans come to exploit our oil.
Ok, let's keep it.
Let's not sell.
The world is not an island and the Malaysians and others have learnt to use what they have to get what they want.
You may say the western world is culpable by providing havens for stolen funds but we must understand that the funds were looted first not the other way round.
I know my riposte may not go down well with you and believe you me i do not intend to attack your person.
But i think we are going to far with this whole conspiracy theory; it borders on paranoia.
Also, i plead with you to go back to my earlier submission on education.
I remember saying education is not by the measure of paper qualifications you have.
At this point i believe we should understand there is dignity in labour.
If a PhD holder is driving a taxi for a living that should be his own kettle of fish as one does not know under what conditions he's found himself there.
That is not to say it is ideal. If he can use it as a stepping stone to greater heights, then he's done marvelous.
I am proud to say I have done menial jobs in the western world to survive.
Those days are gone and that was because i knew that wasn't my limit but accepted it as my way of stooping to conquer.
one is not saying the west are the best thing since the sun shone but we are architects of our own destinies.
If we need to move elsewhere to make it in life, so be it.
With globalization the world is your oyster.
One should learn to exploit it.
many hip hop artists started out as militant critics of the US govt but with time many of them were paid off and given lucrative sports endorsement deals with various corporations, others were given movie contracts and other lucrative deals this was done in order to buy their silence that's why none of these people speak out against the govt any more, the stubborn ones were simply eliminated (Tupac shakur).

this tactic of buying the silence of your critics and eliminating the ones who cant be bought has been used for centuries and americans are masters of the game.

Dre is one of the richest rappers in the game and he is in the $100 million net worth and upwards club - what are his lyrics like these days? do you hear him still singing about fckng the police?

I never said that we should refuse to sell our oil, I am saying we should trade with countries that are interested in a fair exchange not US and European oil companies that want to cheat and exploit us. why trade with a country who tells you to devalue your currency, cut public spending, turf thousands of people on to the unemployment scrap heap, cut spending on education and healthcare and reduce your population to mass poverty - these are all the conditions the western govts via their IMF and world bank impose on us. They are able to get away with it because they finance military coups which overthrow govts which are unwilling to do their bidding and replace them with their agents (Obasanjo, IBB, Okonjo Iweala and co) these imperialist agents then oversee the wholesale ra.pe of our resources by these criminals.

Globalisation = world wide slavery of non white people - every non white country of the world where globalisation exists has consigned their populations to mass unemployment, mass poverty and mass misery. Globalisaton is all about allowing western corporations access to cheap raw materials and labour at the expense of the indigenous populations of those countries.

Dude, you have no idea.

USA's debt is $17trillion? The important thing is who do they owe most of the money to?

Mostly themselves through the Fed. There is a complex and complicated marriage between USA and the Fed. Reserve.

You are forgetting another important thing about debt: If you owe the bank $10,000 it is your problem. But if you owe the
bank $17 trillion, it is the bank's headache!

If USA "threatens" to file for bankruptcy today, the global financial kingdom will collapse. 2008 meltdown will be kid's play.
That's where we are. The whole word knows it. When USA sneezes, every other country catches cold.

When push comes to shove, they will send out subtle war messages and everyone else buckles. Power pass power!
The relationship between the Federal Reserve and the US govt is far from complicated , the Federal Reserve (which is a privately owned bank) controls the US govt by lending it money with huge interest - I haven't got time to explain it in any great detail but basically they create money out of thin air and charge the US govt interest on this money this ensures that the US govt always remain indebted to them, as a result the Fed REserve is able to control the economy of the US govt and dictate economic and political policy. At the moment the US govt has no hope in hell of paying off the $17 trillion debt it owes to various creditors including the Fed, but what does the Fed do? - it just keeps printing more money - this has resulted in two things: a devalued US dollar and creditors wanting to stop using the US dollar to purchase goods and services for the simple reason that its value is depreciating alarmingly.

China is now looking to buy commodities using its own currency the yuan, also the BRICS nations are also about to come up with a replacement world reserve currency which will consign the fast depreciating US dollar to the dustbin of history. already china trades in various commodities including oil without using the US dollar. If other countries follow suit and start dropping the US dollar, you can wave good bye to your status as an economic world power this is why the US is desperately trying to start a third world war, war diverts attention away from the real issues and the plan is to force china and possibly Russia into a war which will financially drain them and wreck their own economies. The US's attitude is, if we cant remain in the top dog position , we will take everyone else down with us.

rusher14: What thrash!
Nobody denies the years of oppression from the white race which goes on till today.
But it is quite unfortunate that every black man that is successful is regarded as a pun in the hands of his white masters.
Why? because he made it out of the hood?
Such denigration of the strong, black man is indeed what we should be wary of.
The prisons were not made for black men but for criminals. Therefore, if you don't break the Law you aren't likely to know what a penitentiary looks like save for a few reels of videos one might come across.
Cosby spoke out against the ignorance in which the black family was immersed. What better member of the public to address this?
No, that's not what you want. You prefer he is confrontational with the government while masking the root of the problem.
Again, I state that yes we have been oppressed. But so has the Igbo man in Nigeria (i'm Ijaw for the record), yet they claw their way through the oppressive waves because they have an unyielding spirit.
That should be the attitude of the African, African American and the rest of the oppressed world.
We cannot continue to wail and gnash teeth over the past, and the present that is more sublime than substantiated.
Woe unto the black man who doesn't know that education is his way out of the labyrinth.
Education is not in the folder of diplomas you have. It is in the acquisition and application of useful knowledge.
It helps you recognize the past, face the present and prepares you for tomorrow.
And your tomorrow has to be better than today if you work smart with diligence.
Let us refrain from this cheap shots we seem to strike down what should be our role models and do our bit to rewrite black history.
To make it out of the hood in today's America you need a lot of assistance from the white power structure because they control everything - the educational system, access to jobs, everything .

In order for a black person to make money in America they must be willing to not only keep their mouths shut about the exploitation and abuse that whites have perpetrated against their ancestors and are still perpetrating against them, they must also be willing to sell out their own people.

This fact is even more glaring in the case of rich black americans - this is why the likes of Oprah, Cosby, Jay Z, P Diddy and all other black americans who are in the $100million dollar net worth club NEVER EVER DO ANYTHING FOR BLACKS, NEVER SPEAK OUT AGAINST THE RACIST SYSTEM THAT STILL ABUSES AND EXPLOITS BLACKS AND NEVER EVER IDENTIFIES WITH ANY CAUSE WHICH ADVOCATES ECONOMIC OR POLITICAL EMPOWERMENT OF BLACK PEOPLE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

In my book such people are not role models but sell outs and pawns of the white power structure. we have them in Nigeria too, Okonjo Iweala, Badluck Jonathan, OBJ, IBB these are all gate keepers of white supremacy, guard dogs of a system which seeks to exploit and abuse black people while at the same time enriching and consolidating the power of whites. Therefore for you to see someone like Cosby as a role model shows me just how brainwashed and or ignorant you are. WHy would I look up to someone who praises someone who has done nothing but harm me and my people throughout history? Oh let me guess because he is a multi millionaire - got you.

The problem with Nigerians is that many of us have no self pride or dignity - it doesn't take much to get us excited, just throw a few crumbs in our direction and we start foaming at the mouth, this is why the white power structure know that they have nothing to fear as far as Nigerians are concerned - they know we are greedy, selfish and are addicted to materialism even though we are incapable of manufacturing any of the things we covet. YOu would have thought that we would have learned our lesson after they depleted our population during the trans atlantic slave trade and then came back for our crude oil but no its like no matter how bad we are treated we remain deaf, dumb and blind to the fact that we are mere victims within a brutal system of white supremacy.

Nigerians are very easy to work out - you can imagine a guy on this thread boasting about driving on an American freeway LMAO!!! doesn't he know that with Nigeria's wealth we could live just as well as the average American if we could get the right leadership.

If we had someone like the late Hugo Chavez leading Nigeria, overnight a lot of things would change, all those imperialist agents like Okonjo Iweala, OBJ, Goodluck, Deizani and other bandits would be rounded up clamped in jail and left there to rot.

.....but with the mentality of the average Nigerian this will remain a mere pipe dream.

Some people are on here boasting about how well they are doing in America - you boast about how good things are for you but you are living in another man's house, you are not recognised as an equal, you are disrespected everywhere you go simply because of the colour of your skin, when you go into a shop, the assistant follows you around as if you are a theif - so what is the point of life if no-one respects and you never have rest of mind?

If education is the way out of the labyrinth to quote you why do you have Nigerian men with phds driving cabs in America and England?
education is useless without a system in place that enables you to put that knowledge and skill to use, go and check the statistics of unemployed black graduates in the UK and US and you will then understand that having education as a black person in the western world does not protect you from a racist system that rewards people on the basis of race not merit.

The 'Great Emancipator' and the Issue of Race

Abraham Lincoln's Program of Black Resettlement

By Robert Morgan

Many Americans think of Abraham Lincoln, above all, as the president who freed the slaves. Immortalized as the "Great Emancipator," he is widely regarded as a champion of black freedom who supported social equality of the races, and who fought the American Civil War (1861-1865) to free the slaves.

While it is true that Lincoln regarded slavery as an evil and harmful institution, it is also true, as this paper will show, that he shared the conviction of most Americans of his time, and of many prominent statesmen before and after him, that blacks could not be assimilated into white society. He rejected the notion of social equality of the races, and held to the view that blacks should be resettled abroad. As President, he supported projects to remove blacks from the United States.

In 1842 Lincoln married Mary Todd, who came from one of Kentucky's most prominent slave-holding families.2 While serving as an elected representative in the Illinois legislature, he persuaded his fellow Whigs to support Zachary Taylor, a slave owner, in his successful 1848 bid for the Presidency.3 Lincoln was also a strong supporter of the Illinois law that forbid marriage between whites and blacks.4

"If all earthly power were given me," said Lincoln in a speech delivered in Peoria, Illinois, on October 16, 1854, "I should not know what to do, as to the existing institution [of slavery]. My first impulse would be to free all the slaves, and send them to Liberia, to their own native land." After acknowledging that this plan's "sudden execution is impossible," he asked whether freed blacks should be made "politically and socially our equals?" "My own feelings will not admit of this," he said, "and [even] if mine would, we well know that those of the great mass of white people will not ... We can not, then, make them equals."5

One of Lincoln's most representative public statements on the question of racial relations was given in a speech at Springfield, Illinois, on June 26, 1857.6 In this address, he explained why he opposed the Kansas-Nebraska Act, which would have admitted Kansas into the Union as a slave state:

There is a natural disgust in the minds of nearly all white people to the idea of indiscriminate amalgamation of the white and black races ... A separation of the races is the only perfect preventive of amalgamation, but as an immediate separation is impossible, the next best thing is to keep them apart where they are not already together. If white and black people never get together in Kansas, they will never mix blood in Kansas ...

Racial separation, Lincoln went on to say, "must be effected by colonization" of the country's blacks to a foreign land. "The enterprise is a difficult one," he acknowledged,

but "where there is a will there is a way," and what colonization needs most is a hearty will. Will springs from the two elements of moral sense and self-interest. Let us be brought to believe it is morally right, and, at the same time, favorable to, or, at least, not against, our interest, to transfer the African to his native clime, and we shall find a way to do it, however great the task may be.

To affirm the humanity of blacks, Lincoln continued, was more likely to strengthen public sentiment on behalf of colonization than the Democrats' efforts to "crush all sympathy for him, and cultivate and excite hatred and disgust against him ..." Resettlement ("colonization"wink would not succeed, Lincoln seemed to argue, unless accompanied by humanitarian concern for blacks, and some respect for their rights and abilities. By apparently denying the black person's humanity, supporters of slavery were laying the groundwork for "the indefinite outspreading of his bondage." The Republican program of restricting slavery to where it presently existed, he said, had the long-range benefit of denying to slave holders an opportunity to sell their surplus bondsmen at high prices in new slave territories, and thus encouraged them to support a process of gradual emancipation involving resettlement of the excess outside of the country

Congress Votes Funds for Resettlement

In 1860, the 3,185 slaves in the District of Columbia were owned by just two percent of the District's residents. In April 1862, Lincoln arranged to have a bill introduced in Congress that would compensate District slave-holders an average of $300 for each slave. An additional $100,000 was appropriated 55

to be expended under the direction of the President of the United States, to aid in the colonization and settlement of such free persons of African descent now residing in said District, including those to be liberated by this act, as may desire to emigrate to the Republic of Haiti or Liberia, or such other country beyond the limits of the United States as the President may determine.

When he signed the bill into law on April 16, Lincoln stated: "I am gratified that the two principles of compensation, and colonization, are both recognized, and practically applied in the act."56

Again, any intelligent Nigerian that is below 30years of age and feels Nigeria has nothing to offer them (ASSU), secure a student visa and come to America to study. I would advise you read a course that is of high demand, don't get distracted by the beautiful women and lazy minorities. It will be rough at first but the end of the Tunnel is always brighter. Bill Cosby is not a Nigerian or white but he is hated by blacks for telling them the truth.
For those that thought I came to America as an immigrant, you are wrong for that. I have a Yankee birth certificate like the OP but I worked as hard as my parents to become successful.
Bill Cosby is a sell out house negro who only attacks black people but never criticises white americans who enslaved his own ancestors and who are responsible for creating an unequal society.

House negroes are very good at attacking the victims of oppression but always remain silent about the root causes of oppression. Why doesn't Cosby address the root causes of black unemployment, why doesn't he talk about the racism of whites towards blacks, the prison industrial complex that prefers to put black men in prison rather than educate them and offer them jobs, he will never do that you know why? because the day he does that that will be the day that the whites will end his career and reduce him to the same level of poverty that the majority of black americans are living under.

Keep your conspiracy theory for those low life that are myopic as you. I am done playing on the sand with you.
Actually I don't live in the US but ive been there many times and I know a whole lot more about that country than you will ever know.
Obama was elected president of America for a reason - he does not represent the interests of ordinary blacks, his entire presidential campaign was financed by AIPAC and wall street, he couldn't care less whether people like you live or die and this is quite obvious when you look at the way he refuses to associate himself with anything to do with black issues. as a matter of fact black unemployment has risen since he took office - so much for America's first so called black president.

you do not understand anything about how America is run - after the civil rights movement a few blacks were ASSISTED into positions of power in order to dupe dumb black people like yourself that America was now an equal society - nothing could be further from the truth.

it is quite obvious that nothing has changed - remember Trayvon - the 17 year old kid who was gunned down simply for being a black kid in the wrong place at the wrong time?

His anger is that I posted a quote from Lincoln which shattered his day dreams about being accepted by white racist americans, white americans have not even accepted black americans who have lived with them for over 400 years let alone a black African immigrant with a Nigerian accent -

the western media is very powerful and has already ruined the image of Africans as being primitive and backward people if you don't believe watch national geographic and see how they portray Africans this is why Europeans and even Asians do no respect Africans.

I sincerely doubt that you grew up in America, you know why? because what I have stated are some of the most basic facts regarding African American history.

No self respecting black person who grew up in America would dispute what I said about the panthers and their courageous fight against the white supremacist structure in America.

Perhaps you were one of those timid Nigerian students that were just so grateful to be living in gods own country that you didn't bother paying attention when anything remotely concerning black American history was discussed.

And let me educate you google can be used to search for books and research materials in other words it is a research tool as opposed to a an actual source of facts - but you wouldn't know that because I don't think you have ever undertaken any form of research in your life

Sagewood: @ Everyone, Please rest easy!
I have lived in the UK and now in the USA and acquired citizenship of both countries.
I have a lot of experience living in Nigeria, Europe and America, and had the opportunity to visit
few countries in Africa, Asia and Australia.
America remains the greatest country now and likely for a long time as far as economic opportunities are concerned.
America presents you with the good, the bad and the ugly, just like most countries.
Even as a doctor with specialist qualifications, America is still tough.
Everyone can make it in the USA, just that you need to take the right steps, study smart and
work very hard. Give it some years, you will be successful and achieve your goals.
Life is not a bed of roses in America or anywhere in the planet.
The thing is always gravitate towards the area where your qualifications will be needed, otherwise, it will be harder.
As for the Black Americans, they should not wait for anyone to help them, they can organize themselves and push their agendas
in the political, social, and economic arenas. Heaven help those who help themselves!
Are you aware of the fact that America's national debt currently stands at a staggering $17 trillion and rising?

America has only been able to stay afloat because it forced all oil producing countries to accept the US dollar in exchange for their oil exports
since all industrialised nations require oil to grow their economy this caused an artificially high demand for the US dollar - as a result the US economy has been able to live well above its means, it spends much much more than it produces, but it can only do this because it has access to credit facilities due to the fact that the dollar is currently still regarded as a valuable currency if this position changes you are going to see astronomical hyperinflation which will lead to escalation in cost of living in the US and believe me with the level of violence that exists in that country now you don't want to know how violent it will become when many people will not be able to afford to buy things that most americans have taken for granted for years like food.

watch this video and you will understand where America is headed:

manny4life: You know I was having a very heated argument with my friend who's black, and what started the argument? The shooting at Navy Yard that occurred about three weeks ago. The dude tried to lay claims that it was Abraham Lincoln who stopped discrimination because he signed the Emancipation Proclamation Act, the act the freed the Black slaves. This same question you asked, I asked, so what led to the Civil Right Movement in 1960? Why did Congress pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964? I didn't stop short, I told him you went to a white school, and you're brainwashed already, are you aware of the landmark ruling: Brown vs Board of Education? Do you know the Judge who argued the case? Associate Justice Thurgood Marshall of Baltimore, it's because of that ruling that black and whites can go to the same school until the CRA movements. Some folks need to think deeper, that's all I can say.
Here is a quote from dear old Abe Lincoln when asked about what he planned to do with the freed slaves:

Abraham Lincoln Quote

“I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races – that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race. I say upon this occasion I do not perceive that because the white man is to have the superior position the negro should be denied everything.”

by:

Abraham Lincoln
(1809-1865) 16th US President
Source:

As a matter of fact Lincoln did everything within his power not to upset the south and he was willing to allow them to continue to keep slaves as long as they did not secede from the union , it was only because the south insisted on seceding (because they were wealthier than the north) that Lincoln now played his trump card which was to abolish slavery, knowing full well that their wealth was dependant on slavery, therefore Lincoln did not abolish slavery because he felt it was wrong he abolished it because it was the only way he could bring about the collapse of the economy of the south and deliver victory to the north.

Infact blacks were reinslaved by way of share cropping where the white landowner got blacks to work for a pittance picking cotton on plantations and later chain gangs where young black men were arrested on falsified charges, imprisoned, chained up and forced to do back breaking work like laying railway tracks, clearing of marshland and swamps etc.

manny4life: Unfortunately, I have seen the light, this country is has a lot of hidden secrets. I was reading a memo sometimes last month, while the Blacks don't even help themselves, a major reason why Congress has moved to defund healthcare, food stamps, etc is because it affects mainly the Blacks...

Three months ago I believe, the Supreme Court Struck down the Voting Rights Acts meaning that discrimination based upon voting is ALLOWED. What does that mean? It means the fat fucktards on Capitol Hill can elect themselves to depress you..Anyone can read up on the case, the "RACIST" states included FL, TX, NC, and can't recall others, the VRA protected blacks from voting discrimination.

Did I also forget about NRA that has been a heated discussion of debate in Congress? I used to be a proponent of the NRA, but having studied gun violence and patterns, the victims are usually "" and the guilty ones, we know who they are. These are so many things that are going on but people can't even read the handwriting.
Well im glad you have seen the light because things are set to get a lot worse for blacks in America with the coming collapse of the US dollar.

This is why its important to read history, if you look at the struggle of black americans with the white supremacist power structure in America you will begin to understand just how the odds have been severly stacked against them.

Don't forget that black americans were only allowed the vote as recently as 1968, prior to this period the black man or woman had no rights that a white American was under an obligation to respect and this is why a white person could ra.pe or murder a black person and not even be arrested let alone go to prison -

Also laws were enacted to keep blacks poor and ignorant, I have some pictures which show black schools and white schools in the 1960s and the difference is very clear -people might say oh but that was way back in the day, actually the inequalities have continued to this very day and this is the reason why many blacks are not properly educated, as you know poor education equals poor paying job which equals low standard of living - this is why on average the majority of blacks in America through no fault of their own remain at the bottom rung of the socio economic ladder.

The bottom line is that America got very very rich off the backs of black slave labour and later cheap black labour - when I see Nigerians praising America on all of its accomplishments I wonder why they are totally ignorant of the fact that the great wealth of America was built on the blood, sweat and tears of black African slaves whose descendants have never been compensated.

As far as white America is concerned blacks were never meant to be anything other than servants of white americans and that's why when slavery was abolished, blacks were forced into share cropping (slavery through the back door) and then factory jobs and later low skilled paying jobs. in other words black people are regarded by white americans and also Europeans as cheap labour and that view remains till today.

Since the 1980s there has been a decline in the abundance of low skilled jobs in America but at the same time unemployment amongst blacks has steadily risen - this has resulted in the rise in the building of prisons in America (which is a moneyspinner for big business) have you ever asked yourself why blacks always get longer prison sentences compared to their white counterparts who comitt the same crimes?

I beleive the answer lies in the fact that the govt has made no provision for young black men in the labour force - slavery has been abolished, low paying jobs are now being done by other black immigrants or Mexicans so what do you do with a group of men who you have no jobs for? you put them in prison - end of problem - and that's why blacks always get the longest prison sentences, the longer your sentence the more money the prison owner makes from uniforms, meals and other necessities that inmates require. Prison is big business and some white americans are making bucket loads of money off the back of black people (particularly black American men)

If not for the sacrifices they made you wouldn't be able to use the same restaurant, toilets, schools, libraries, movie theatres or shops as a white person in America.

America practices meritocracy huh? whaaaaaaaaathuh?

so what was the civil rights movement about and why is the unemployment rate amongst blacks disproportionately higher than that of whites?

Did you know that Africans were only permitted to immigrate to America to live after the civil rights movement of the 1960s prior to that period only Europeans were allowed to immigrate there, as a matter of fact Africans and blacks from other countries were only allowed to immigrate to America AFTER the European immigration quotas had been exhausted that's why whites remain the largest and most powerful racial group in America

Its funny how the average American will tell you about how tough America is whereas the average Nigerian will sing the praises of America. I think it has something to do with the fact that the majority of Nigerians who immigrate to America were so poor before they left that any standard of living is an improvement on what they had before.

America is a nation that was founded on the slavery, ra.pe and murder of black African slaves it was never meant to be a place for black people to prosper, there have been a few improvements for blacks since the civil rights movement of the 60s but on average the majority of blacks and that obviously includes Nigerian immigrants are financially not on the same level as the whites and even other non white races eg Chinese, Japanese, Indians.

And please don't mention Obama - he does not represent the interests of black americans and is a mere puppet of the white power structure which continues to influence not only what goes on in America but what goes on back in your own country Nigeria - Exxon Mobil are as we speak in Nigeria making millions if not billions of dollars in profits in your own country while you flee to America to do the jobs their own people will not dream of doing.

Underground: As much as I support pro-black/panafrican ideals & rhetoric, I find fault in the stupidity, greed and recklessness of the black man with regards to the Haiti situation. First, they experienced a devastating earthquake and rather than rally to support each other and get the nation back on its feet, they embarked upon a looting spree and breakdown of law and order on an unprecedented scale. A country such as Japan had to face an even devastating trio of tragedies in the form of an earthquake, tsunami and radiation apocalypse.Yet there wasn't a single recorded case of looting or disorderliness! I was utterly shocked to see these noble and respectable Japanese queuing up in civilized manner for supplies and finding the strength to help each other out in the face of overwhelming destruction and loss. This is a marvel that I have pointed out to my friends over and over again. Should any of those tragedies occur in any African or black dominated society, even on a much smaller scale, you can be rest assured that untold chaos will ensue.

In addition, how many African countries have offered financial aid or otherwise or been in the forefront of efforts to restore this broken country? What has the self acclaimed "Giant of Africa", Nigeria done? What has South Africa done?

Believe me, I totally believe in the renaissance of the black man. I believe that black man is bedeviled by all sorts of ills and that we are constantly playing catch up with the rest of the civilized world but for us to be taken seriously, we have to first of all fix ourselves before pointing the finger at the white man as the reason for everything that is wrong us. If we do not take another look at ourselves and realize that we, Negroes, are innately more self-centred and selfish than other races. Until we fix ourselves, the rest of the world will never take us as serious competitors in the world stage and will look at articles penned by Ezili Dantò and many others as bellicose rhetoric, senseless twaddle
its funny how you never once mentioned in your rant the role that the US govt along with france and other European played and continue to play in the destruction of the first black republic.

Do you know any thing about Haiti's history at all or are you content to parrott the racist one sided version that your white masters have brainwashed you with?

Haiti is the only black nation that successfully defeated their European slave masters emancipating themselves from slavery, don't you think that its a coincidence that they have never known peace from Europe and America since they achieved such a feat?

when making comparisons between japan and Haiti please endeavour to research history accurately - after the second world war japan received billions of dollars from the US govt for the rebuilding of their country - google marshall plan and you will find out how the US effectively put japan back on its feet -contrast that with Haiti who were forced to COMPENSATE FRANCE THEIR FORMER SLAVE MASTER FOR THE LOSS OF BLACK AFRICAN SLAVES!!! It took Haiti over 60 years to pay back this huge sum and as a result economically they were weakened, the US also invaded their country more than 3 times and installed their puppet Papa Doc who ran the country according to the dictates of the US govt, so please get your facts right before you expose your vast ignorance and self hatred on a public forum.

What do you think will happen if theres an earthquake in the US today - do you think there won't be mass rioting and killing ?

by the way why should Africa offer aid to Haiti when the US and Europe are responsible for transporting the ancestors of those Haitians to that island - not only that America has continued to meddle in the affairs of that country ever since they emancipated themselves and are singularly responsible for the economic devastation that that country has been subject to.

In 2004 one of the first democratically elected presidents of that country Jean Bertrand Aristide was abducted by US marines and DEPORTED TO south Africa - what do you think of that?

GH PATRIOT: Yes! I know in Africa coalition governments means coalition thievery, the 0pposite is the case in Britain, Germany, Australia & Israel.
A coalition government exists because not a single party was able to win seats to form a government and as such must negotiate with other parties with different priorities.

Germany: The Greens party's main concern is to protect the natural resources, increase agriculture and to kick against anything that will harm the country's farmers among others. Such a party cannot go into coalition with a party that plans to give tax reliefs to company's that will undermine farmers.... I don't recall when but a coalition party member kicked against Germany's intelligence act that sought to compel telco's to record & store customers call for upto 3mnths before its deleted.

Australia: The majority in parliament needed only two seats to form a government, the 0nly (3)seats available were that of Independents, and they promised the two independents of making their constituencies be the first to benefit from the government funded subsidised internet data.

Israel: This system assures that no one party can ever be a majority because of the proportionality system. The hawkish right and left wing parties never form a government together, because its bound to fail.

Anyways, @B0ld3d...... I doubt it, because Obama was clear, unless the FBI & CIA are subunits of the Pentagon, then I don't see them geting their paycheck.

It is a well known fact to the informed that this sovereign wealth fund is just another way for europeean and american financial institutions to scam third world countries of their wealth, particularly at a time when many western economies are in severe financial crisis- not too long ago Libya fell victim to this 419 scam, Goldman Sachs stole a whopping $1.3 billion of their sovereign investment wealth fund, is mr president aware of this ?

An old article on how US investment bank Goldman Sachs "lost" $1.3 b of libyan oil wealth:

Goldman Sachs Lost 98% of Libya's $1.3B Sovereign Wealth Fund Investment

As civil war roars on in Libya and Colonel Muammar Gadhafi vows to remain in power, reports surfaced that the Northern African country entrusted $1.3 billion through its sovereign wealth fund to Goldman Sachs in 2007, of which the investment bank lost approximately 98%, sparking the ire of Libyan officials. The fascinating drama includes Goldman offering Libya preferred equity and debt which could’ve made it one of the investment bank’s largest shareholders during the onset of the crisis, as well as intimidation and violent threats by Libyan officials.

Libya’s sovereign wealth fund, the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA), was among many funds set up by emerging economies to grow their export-based riches. When the U.S. government lifted sanctions in 2004 prohibiting American firms from doing business with and investing in Libya, Western financial institutions flocked to the oil-rich nation, according to a recent investigation by the Wall Street Journal.

The LIA, headed by chief investment officer Hatem el-Gheriani and Chairman Mustafa Zarti approached 25 different financial institutions around June 2007, when the LIA was launched with approximately $40 billion in assets. Despite forging its strongest relationships with Goldman Sachs, the LWI also invested with Societe Generale, HSBC, JP Morgan, Carlyle Group, Lehman Brothers, and Och-Ziff Capital Management Group.

Recent information, derived from “interviews with close to a dozen people who were involved in the matter, and on Libyan Investment Authority and Goldman documents,” show that Goldman essentially lost all of Libya’s $1.3 billion investment in option contracts on a basket of currencies and six stocks. (Read Amidst Rumors That Gadhafi’s Been Shot, Swiss And Brits Freeze His Assets).

Goldman executives including Youssef Kabbaj, executive in charge of North Africa, and Driss Ben-Brahim, an Arabic-speaking emerging-markets trading chief, met with Zarti and Gheriani in London and in Libya’s capital, Tripoli. After an initial investment of $350 million in two of Goldman’s most exclusive funds, the Libyans were ready for more.

Between January and June 2008, Goldman execs set up a $1.3 billion investment in option contracts on Citigroup, Italy’s UniCredit, Spain’s Banco Santander, German insurer Allianz, French energy company Electricite de France, Italian energy company Eni. The investment, which also included a basket of currencies, worked on the thesis that the stocks would rise in value But, as the crisis kicked in, the underlying securities took a nose dive, taking the value of the investment down to just $25.1 million by February 2010, a mere 2% of the original investment, according to internal Goldman documents.

Massive losses sparked the ire of Zarti, who met with Goldman’s Kabbaj and another employee at the LIA’s headquarters in July ’08 and, “like a raging bull,” cursed and threatened the Goldman employees. Zarti, according to the Journal, is a close friend of Col. Gadhafi and maintains close ties with the Col.’s London School of Economics-educated son, Saif al-Islam Gadhafi. Kabbaj and the other Goldman employee were assigned body guards until they left the country the next day.

In their attempts to fix the relationship and make up for the losses, Goldman executives offered Libya various investment options that included large stakes in the company. Negotiations which included CEO Lloyd Blankfein, CFO David Viniar, and European top exec Michael Sherwood, resulted in the company offering to finance a $3.7 billion investment that would give LIA $5 billion in stock and a payment of 4% to 9.25% annually for 40 years. There were other offers including preferred shares, unsecured debt, a special purpose vehicle in the Cayman Islands, and investments in credit default swaps.

After meeting for the last time in June 2010, the deal never materialized. As of that date, the LIA had about $53 billion in assets. In 2011, after civil war erupted in Libya and Gadhafi said he would not step down, the U.S. government seized about $37 million in Libyan funds, including some still managed by Goldman Sachs, according to the Journal. (Read Gadhafi’s $30 Billion In US Assets Blocked By Treasury).

does it make sense to plough money into a global investment fund managed by speculators in london and new york with no guarantee of ever receiving any return on your investment when you have an unemployment rate in your home country of over 40%? does it make sense to take much needed funds that could be used to develop infrastructure and piss it away on stocks and shares in london and new york, I see why he was allowed to ring the closing bell at the NYSE surrounded by the likes of Okonjo Iweala and other imperialist agents of america and europe.

Sovereign Wealth Fund and the IMF agenda

Written by Ola Kazeem in Lagos
Thursday, 24 November 2011

A sovereign wealth fund (SWF) is a state-owned investment fund composed of financial assets such as stocks, bonds, property, precious metals or other financial instruments. Sovereign wealth funds invest globally. Some of them have grabbed attention making bad investments in several Wall Street financial firms including Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill Lynch. These firms needed a cash infusion due to losses resulting from mismanagement and the subprime mortgage crisis. Most SWFs are funded by foreign exchange assets. How does this fit into the Nigerian ruling class’s popular slogan of “Government has no business doing business”? If it is in the interest of the ordinary Nigerians, Government will have no business doing business; if it is in the interest of the rich and their Western backers, Government will have a very strong reason to do business.

The global economic crisis has dictated this dramatically laughable change of policy of the IMF/World bank towards the “third world” countries. The IMF is no longer satisfied with massive sales of public properties at take away prices in the name of privatizations; it is no longer satisfied with huge cuts in public spending that further impoverishes the majority of Nigerians; the IMF has conveniently added to these policies the Sovereign Wealth Fund; that is, it is asking Nigeria to ensure huge savings from the proceeds from oil and other social cuts, savings not for the purpose of investing in Nigeria because “Government has no business doing business”, not for the purpose of improving the life of the overwhelming majority of Nigerians because “Capitalism is a system for the minority against the interest of the majority (1% against the 99%)”, but savings for the purpose of investing in the western market. How laughable does this sound? The poorer countries should not invest in their own countries where there is urgent and desperate need to do so, but should turn around and invest in the rich western countries because they are going through a financial crisis; that is, the rich will be fed from the belly of the poor!

Revolution is inevitable

Obviously, the Nigerian ruling class is one of the most subservient to the dictates of the western powers, in the world. The IMF has a direct representation within the government in the person of Okonjo Iweala who will go to any extent to get the imperialists’ interests protected to the last. Along the path they have mapped out, the consequences are glaring! It will inevitably lead to an open clash between the overwhelming majority of Nigerians and the ever diminishing minority of exploiters. Egypt and Greece have provided an example of what is to come.

With their policies, revolution is on the agenda and there is no other possible alternative policy on the basis of capitalism. Only a social and economic system that focuses first on the interests of the majority and not on the profits of the few, can harness all the Nigerian resources, both human and material, and unleash the full capacity of Nigerians for the purpose of actualizing the full potential of the country. That system is Socialism and it is the only alternative to blood sucking capitalism. It is absolutely impossible to find a solution within a system that puts profit first before human needs, which judges the rationality of everything based on profitability, a greedy system that promotes greediness and turns man to beast.

Therefore the real enemy is neither corruption nor the mediocrity of the Nigerian ruling elites as such, but the dying system that breeds corruption in which the Nigerian ruling elite are mere appendages of the western powers. That is what the capitalist system is, especially in very backward countries like Nigeria. The alternative system is the only way out and this alternative is inconceivable without first booting out these degenerate servants of the imperialists.
