raymondhillmimi: This is no joke, in my previous thread https://www.nairaland.com/5888982/interstate-ban-curfew-getting-me
I mentioned the lockdown is causing me depression, some people said I'm not an introvert but this absolutely nothing to do with it. I'll explain, ave been getting heart palpitations since Feb or so, and I told it's normal and it will go away, but it continued for a long time, about 3 times a day initially to upto 9 times in 10 Mins. For those who don't know what it is, imagine your heart stops beating for a sec and continues, yes I know how is it possible to feel your heart beat? Well it stops you from breathing for a sec! That's how you know. Ave been taking Atenolol and I stopped taking them last week. I took it for 5 days Exactly 3 days after I stopped.
It continued again after 3 days I stopped taking them, but this time I completely ignored it and didn't care. So yesterday morning, while I was cleaning, I noticed it kept happening but I ignored it!
In the afternoon as I was working as usual, I received a phone call from my mom, and I stretched to reach my phone and suddenly I feel off the chair, I quickly answered the call, the next thing my heart started racing! I mean pounding like I was running from something, like oh God! I felt strength leaving me, my hands where trembling, hands cold, I felt like I was sinking to the floor! My sight was fading away, the only thing that came out of my mouth was "Blood of Jesus" God please don't let me die I kept repeating this word and my mom was praying. It stopped a bit, I started searching for the Atenolol but couldn't find it, I pored everything on the rack and then I found it, I swallowed a tablet without water then I rushed and unlocked my door just in case my family gets here.
I called my GF on video and she kept crying, her camera is bad but she can see me but I can't, the season continued, for 3 hours. When my family got here we drove to the hospital immediately and I was given 2 shorts of injection immediately, I don't know what they gave me but immediately I felt this peach.. Like blood flowed through my body instantly. I'll be running some tests today and I hope it's nothing serious, I'm not religious and I don't even go to church. But now I know I love my life and I'm not ready to die yet hahahahaha. Depression is real, please the lockdown restrictions should be lifted soon. Pray for me guys!
Forgive my typos, I'm typing this from my hospital bed. Eventually, I have seen someone who understands what I went through and have been going through. Please permit me us to discuss on a closer level. Like whatsapp or something. I have been on 25mg of atenolol for 3 years over anxiety neurosis and generalized anxiety disorder. |
Family › Re: My Husband Wants To Know Everything About My Finances. by Capernum: 12:20pm On Jun 06, 2020 |
UzorChinonso: Good day Nairalanders, I have been married for just a year now and it has not been easy here! My Husband wants to know every thing about my finance. He has disturbed me to know how much is my salary worth of.
I have always denied him of the fact, what I know is that I used my money to refurbish our flat, got some new things to change the outlook of the place....
But I am not really finding it funny any longer. As we speak, he collected my ATM card since last two weeks, said I must tell him the pin or I should forget having it back. I went to my bank, told them that I lost the card and they changed it for me last Friday and he collected it again said it's either I tell him the pin or he will do something funny ...
I don't know what funny thing he's gonna do but I am worried! Pls is this how marriage is? He claims to own me and own my salary! Is it fair? This marriage is too early instead I would have quit and I am pregnant at the moment! What do I do? I don't want anybody to know anything about my finances including him till I have my baby whom my spirit accepted that I should make my next of kin.
What do I do ? Sincerely, you're not ready for marriage. May be both of you are not ready, but I am very sure about you. You're not ready for a solid marriage at all, it's silently but clearly written in your post. Any marriage where there is no financial sincerity and openness is nothing but a hostel/room mate package. |
Nairaland General › Re: What Is The Weirdest Thing You Have Done To Survive? by Capernum: 3:17pm On Jun 05, 2020 |
I was terribly hungry, no cash, no stove to cook, no ingredients, just a few cups of rice. I had to chew raw grains of rice. Yes, I chewed them raw.
Had to trek from outskirt of Akure town, along Indanre road to my house close to OSRC, at Orita Obele, you can't relate unless you know Akure. Very far distance, no transport fare and I cannot beg for money. Got home with very tired and shaky legs.
Had to trek from Oba Ile, Airport road to my house at Orita Obele (you can relate only if you know Akure) just to collect a bunch of unripe plantain, nothing at home to feed my self and my siblings. I was hoping to get food stuffs from a senior departmental mate who graduated a year before me from FUTA. All I got was a bunch of unripe plantain and I was too shy to ask for transport fare. I trekked for several hours.
Lastly, I had walked out of my house and roam the street looking for lost money and hoping I will find one, at least fifty naira to buy Gari and kuli for myself and my siblings. The hunger was terrible.
Very terrible experiences I will always remember. |

Garlic, turmeric, lime/lemon, lightly cooked vegetables like water leaf, ugwu, ewedu&water can also help. Keep praying too; if u bliv in blessing water&chanting of Psalms, it's fine too. Weldone! I'm ready to believe in anything that will work. She's been on fruits and veggies since. Just started black seed today. |
Health › What Can Help Cancer? by Capernum(op): 8:24am On May 24, 2020 |
Good morning healthlanders.
Please I need help for a close aunty, she was diagnosed of a cancer now in an advance stage and it is spreading beyond the index organ which is the liver. She is 58.
Things are getting worse by the day and symptoms predicted by doctors are showing up daily. She is belly bloated, and legs are bigger, the pains are much and she's getting confused.
Doctors said the prognosis is bad and that there can only be palliative treatments till she dies.
We and the children are not giving up! We are exploring all possible means including spiritual therapy and plant alternative therapy too.
I decide to post this here, may be, someone knows someone who had this and overcame and/or someone has the magic suggestion or knows something that can help cure it.
Please help. |
Family › Re: My Fellow Married Women And Mothers, How Do You Deal With A Husband Like Mine? by Capernum: 7:06am On May 12, 2020 |
Well dear op, Some Nairalanders have given you some of the best counsels you'll ever get anywhere else. Who says you shouldn't bring issues here?
While you try your best to work on your marriage, I will just mention a few helpful points, hope it will be helpful to you. 1. The best way to deal with an egocentric husband is to feed his ego to death. Keep fanning his ego at home and outside and his ego towards you will die naturally.
2. These days, 4 children are somewhat too much. Don't attempt to be pregnant again, if you're still in your active years.
3. Do everything possible to tackle or manage your Blood pressure. Keep living.
4. Never lose your beauty, or call it back to life, don't trade it for anything. If your beauty is gone, you're the first victim in your home. Buy dresses, buy footwears, do your hair and get your jewelries upgraded and updated. And smile a lot even when there is no reason to. Smile is the best jewelry.
5. Advise your husband to get a land, I don't know where you leave, but get a land, at least in the cheapest area closest to you. And start building. ENSURE that the documents carry your name too.
6. OR, On your own, save and have a plan B, secretly buy a land and start building at least a two bed room flat. This is plan B.
7. For the sake of immediate peace, please end the current malice, walk up to him and apologize even when you've done nothing wrong. It is called maturity not weakness.
If possible get him to read this your post, may be as anonymous as you can have it. |

Bring back our lockdown!!!
Buhari! this number and the distribution is just enough to implicate and infect millions within two months without lockdown.
Nigeria obviously does not have the medical and health care capacity to handle cases above 50,000 effectively.
Before we start singing 'Save our Souls' anthem, restore lockdown kiakia!!!!!!!
128 deaths no be moinmoin. |

They say we are peaking soon. Are we still peaking? Or everybody is catching the virus.
It's better that the lockdown continues before it gets out of hand patapata.
Let's go back to lockdown and get all Nigerians tested per lgas. |

We have to choose one between the economic security and mass death.
Between hunger and health safety too.
God help our president to make an accurate decision to the advantage of the nation today.

My mum is down with a liver cancer that has spread to some other structures.
It is very painful watching her helplessly go through different stages of this and exhibit the corresponding symptoms.
Doctors said there is no cure, and treatments so far are just jeered towards the symptoms. What they gave are more of pain relieving drugs.
Somebody help me. Give suggestions. How do I handle this? I don't want to loose her. Please help. |

Romance › Re: Should I Forgive My Girlfriend Or Breakup With Her? Please I Need Advice by Capernum: 11:40am On Aug 10, 2019 |
aysnoopy: Good morning good people of Nairaland. please don't mind my grammatical errors coz I'm not that good.
I'm 28yrs, working and I had a gf of 21yrs. we are very good together and I love her so much. we started dating a year ago and I told her what can make me breakup with her which is cheating. she swear never to cheat on me coz she loves me. (she's a virgin when I met her).
But after 6months of dating, I suspect she's still attached to her ex.. they are very close. I warned her but she said she'll rather break up with me than to cheat. she swear never to do that. I accepted but I keep watching and been sensitive.
Fast-forward to last month, I checked her fone for the 1st time. she don't expect it. I notice she's eager to get her fone back but I don't care. I checked and I notice she and her ex are having romantic affairs (no sex though) ..
I confronted her but ever since den she kept begging. her friends keep begging.
I'm a type that if u cheat on me, no matter how much I love u, d love will dropped totally. one of my ex did same, despite our relationship is 4 years, I broke up with her.
She's so afraid and keep saying she can't leave me Coz I'm d one that disvirgin her, but I wish to leave.
She said she never mean to do all those bull'shit with her ex, but I let her know that she still have feelings for him.
Each time I remember, I felt hurt and wish to quit. whenever she come to my place, she'll beg from morning till evening but that doesn't move me.
Please good people of Nairaland. what can I do? if you're on my shoe, what will be ur judgment. I've never accept cheat with any of my ex but this particular girl keep apologizing. You're already 28 years, so you're? old enough to marry and should be settling down in no far time. That means you don't have enough time for unnecessary gambles in your relationship, time is going. She is 21, that means she can still be excused as a kid, who has not yet grasped fully what she wants and the importance of fidelity in relationship, she may still want to still play around for a few years. You know her better than us... How far has she gone with school? Since when did she start to date? How many exes? Are you sure you disflowered her? |

Dybala is not serious, he has the opportunity to revive his career now at man utd but greed won't permit him.
Stay there at Juventus and continue to die under the shadow of CR7, you'll soon learn.
One of the best gifts a man can ever possess is to know when to move on.
If CR7 never moved on he would have become irrelevant. Unless you've gotten a permanent slot in the team, else move on till you become a regular starter. |

Nairalanders... For some days I've been having this vibration sensation on the tip of my joystick. It's neither painful nor itching, just annoying. It's rhythmic, having a particular sequence and not stopping except some few occasions. No other Symptom observed. It's only noticeable when I'm still, standing or sitting. Very very annoying. Please anyone with useful information about about it. Please doctors in the house I need urgent help. It's been on for like 10 days. |
