FamilyRe: Is It Right For A Married Woman To Be Dressing In Front Of Her Younger Brother? by capip120(m): 10:23am On Mar 31, 2015
internetpirate:
Assuming it is your personal slang for your friends etc, do you think it's particularly intelligent/wise to use it in a public forum? Since you are so good in English and deliberately choose words at random! Part of English writing is the address to "audience" and one chooses words that are most appropriate to the audience. What you use for informal narratives is not the same with what you use for formal narratives!

Now, don't take this personal, but I just feel it's time to speak up on this growing trend on Nairaland! Someone writes atrocious English, and when corrected, the bandwagon descends on the critic, often suggesting that he/she should draw meaning from the mumbo-jumbo, instead of correcting the anomaly and setting a standard for intelligent discourse!

Why I am gravely worried by this trend is because I see it as a reflection of our Nigerian society where mediocrity, poor controls and lack of excellence are rife! We spend time chanting change, yet the change we truly need is a "mindset change"!!! Can we start aiming for the sky in all our endeavours?!!!
Can we start criticising our general performance through structured reviews so that lessons-learnt can reflect in improved performancehuh

Cousin brother doesn't seem like a major faux pas (no matter how you try to burnish it!), but it is part of the canker worms that are eating at our national marrow!! My apologies my "cousin sister"!!
Ogbeni one bottle of Origin for you abegi.
That Punky of a girl is very pigheaded. Imagine "Cousin Brother" Gbagaun with ignorance. Teach am make she know, she thinks knowing how to speak English is same as writing it. Illiteracy at it's finest.

PoliticsRe: Breaking News: APC Rigging Lagos Election Live - Election Results Missing by capip120(m): 7:19am On Mar 30, 2015
Caseless:
PDP should tell us why results from SS(including those from gej's PU) and SE are still being kept from the public eyes, and not crying over the non-availability of lagos results at the collation center. Afterall, lagos is part of the SW and over 60% of results from that region are in the public domain already. Those that come to equity must come with clean hands.
What are you saying Mr.? Because it's APC you guys Neva seem to agree when ever it is reported that APC is rigging. Come to terms and agree with the fact that this is politics nobody is a saint. You guys always believe all the places you control came clean while in reality it's filled with Cow tricks. If the report has stated PDP is rigging I wonder what the reply would have been.

It's not just about calling, it's about them looking for something enchanting to say to us and not calling you for recharge card tales as if we work in the minting corporation.
I like it when a girl calls me and discuss politics and economic development about the country with me, I actually had one Last week.
now that's my kind of girl.

No i dont mean the JTF - i mean the one recording the video - or is he a part of the JTF?

I agree - but its a shame we've had to put civilians in danger like this - afterwards they probably wont even be thanked by the Nigerian Govt.
If only you watched closely you would have seen that the civilian jtf was given a blue patrol vehicle of their own with weapons and full army ragalia. But I guess you didn't. Rather you were to desperate to dispute the authenticity of this video.

Romance7 Top Things You Should Learn From Your Failed Relationship by capip120(op):

When you experience a relationship break-up, you usually begin to analyze your past and lose the faith in true love. The feelings of sorrow make you waste your time looking for a reason why he broke up with you.
You’d better try to find a lesson in the pain of your past relationship. You should know that relationships give you the chance to grow spiritually and get new and precious
experiences. Those who think that they’ve wasted time with the wrong person are not right, because relationships also offer you opportunities to understand your past, your fears, your essence and what the meaning of the true love is. Love is not a simple thing.
You need some time to learn how to love and value the relationship with your beloved. I hope this article will
help you focus on your past and find the answers to all annoying questions that make you feel worried.

1. EVERYONE NEEDS FREE SPACE
Many people think that a true love means that they should spend 24 hours a day together with the person they love. Such schedule will make you lose your identity in a quite short period of time. Remember, everyone needs some free time and space to satisfy their personal needs and do things that make them feel alive.
By all means, don’t let your identity die, because it will be difficult to bounce back.
2. THE LUST PERIOD IS TEMPORARY
This wonderful period usually makes you fly on the wings of love. When you are extremely happy, you spend hours dressing to impress your partner and talking about love till the dawn. Unfortunately, the period of butterflies in the stomach ends fast and amorousness turns into a real and adequate love. Love is the period when you are ready to share both good and bad with the person you love. Love really grows when you have no fear to lose and when you absolutely accept all pros and cons of your significant other.
3. OTHER PEOPLE DON’T BELONG TO YOU
Nowadays we live in a democratic world where people are free and have equal rights and responsibilities.
Moreover, we are free to express ourselves and lead an independent life. No matter how long you’ve been together, you should understand that the person you love isn’t your property. People who really love each other are committed to this beautiful feeling and treat each other with respect. Your love is your muse but not your possession. You cannot control the behavior and every step of your partner, because it will only break trust in your relationship. The only adequate thing you can do is to trust him and try to create common rules of commitment both of you should stick to.
4. COMPLETE YOURSELF
I do agree that other people can improve you and fill your life with joy and wonderful colors, but you should realize that people will never complete you or live up to your expectations. There’s no need for validation from
your partner. First of all, you should learn to cultivate self-love before you can share it with your beloved. Try to develop yourself until you find yourself confident and complete. It requires you to change your actions, thoughts, emotions and behaviors.
5. DON’T EVEN TRY TO CHANGE YOUR PARTNER
You can change many things in this world, but it’s almost impossible to change your partner’s outlook and habits.
All you can do is to show the right path to your partner and if they have an internal desire to change, they’ll make a shift. A human psyche has the capacity to ignore things and ideas strongly imposed by others. This way your partner may achieve temporary improvements and then return to their casual habits again. If you cannot stand something in your partner, then you should shift your energy and react to the situation in a different way. It’s better to stay calm and respond everything in cold blood.
6. GET RID OF YOUR INNER CONFLICTS
Your attitude and behavior in your relationship can be the reflection of your fears and anxiety which reign in your sub consciousness. If you want to have a healthy relationship, you should start from healing your inner world from fears and conflicts. Plus, you need to do all possible things to boost your self-esteem. Begin to love yourself and you’ll be able to share your love with somebody else.
7. LEARN HOW TO LET GO GRACEFULLY
It seems that some relationships teach us how to honorably let go. After a considerable reflection on the opportunity to build a happy and healthy relationship, you may realize that this love doesn’t cost your time and energy to continue. Unhappy relationships teach you to struggle for happiness. Furthermore, you should use the opportunity to let go of the past in order to be able to find the true love of all your life and cultivate a long and loving relationship. Don’t become disheartened the next time you face a relationship break-up, because it may help you develop a new vision of the world and start a better relationship.
Relationships are an important part of your personal development. Both happy and unhappy relationships help you grow and become an all-rounded person. You should be strong enough to overcome the pain and other
challenges, if you want to be happy. Have you ever had failed relationships? What lessons did you learn from
them? Share your experiences.

CrimeRe: My Experience With A Police Man Today by capip120(m): 1:14pm On Mar 11, 2015
Truth is that Nigerian police are rogues in uniform.
Just last week at a jamb slip collection center a guy brought out his phone to talk selfie of him self when an hungry police man spotted him and accused him of trying to take his picture. All effort to make the police man believe that the boy had no such intentions fell on deaf ears as more of them came and whisked the guy to the station where the parents bailed him out with N5,000.
The guy was dragged like an animal and was intimidated by this rogues.
Now that is the kind of people that Mans the security of lives and properties.
At times I don't feel a hinge of pity when something bad happens to them cause this guys can make confess to being a criminal even when dey no you are not.

Congrats on your newly acquired cash. I hope you use it wisely. But before you spend the money, remember that in politics Nothing goes for nothing. The great Chief has given you #400 and he is going to gain that money back 100 million times.
When there's no light in the district, remember your #400. When friends, family and strangers die because of bad roads and inadequate health care, remember the #400. When corruption has eaten so deep that there's nothing left and the senators you elected to represent you become suddenly deaf to your cries, remember the #400. When your children ask you why Nigeria is so bleeped up and why nothing is functional, remember the #400.
As I wrote before, congrats and enjoy your #400.
Ogbeni your post make brain die!!!!
