When he was used as a 10 for a short period under JM he struggled to get involved in games and people said he had to be played in a deeper role so that he can influence games.

Thank you. There is no single position he has not been played in, yet for 4 years there haven't been any time he sustained a top level for for 10 games consecutively. Something Rashford, Martial, Even Small Greenwood has done.

Teams have figured him out, he is poor defensively do teams just load that his position with balls, giving him more defensive work to do, he is now more concerned about his defensive duties now. With VVD getting injured now, he will be on a long thing. TAA has been on my fantasy team, he has consistently disappointed me. I will sell him eventually

Pogba is a fine player but he is just not suited for such role. If we need our defenders bombing forward, we will definitely need midfielders that can sit and neutralize any counters

Which role is Jogba suited for? He has been played in every single midfield position, snd with several midfielders, some bought specifically for him, in all he failed to do anything significant. All the midfielders we signed could not unlock Pogba, his mates like Mata, Bruno, Mctoms, Herrera etc excel in different midfield positions. Yesterday Bruno went to the Left wing immediately James went out and pogba and VDB entered and had a hand in all 3 goals scored after that, Mata played from the right too and excelled. But for Jogba we are still looking for the best position for him since 4 years now, he is 27 now and doesn't want to have sense. Even Havertz and Mount that are much younger than him have been played in variety of midfield positions by Lampard and still excel, but for the foo.l we still need to use almighty formula and schrodinger equation to figure out the best position to play him and best players to unlock him with. If not that Ole is another I.diot on his own right, that Virus would have been booted out long ago. V

VDB is a very smart footballer. His brain is on a high level. Dan James is relatively headless.

Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, is unhappy with Ole Gunnar Solksjaer playing him in a withdrawn role, the UK Independent reports.

It is believed there is a degree of friction brewing over United’s midfield set up, with Pogba particularly at odds with the role he has been given.

The arrival of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon in January saw Pogba pushed back into a deeper role, most often alongside Matic, with the Portuguese given all the freedom to get forward that was previously bestowed on the Frenchman.

While the new-look midfield worked well in the beginning, their more recent struggles have exposed some issues.

Pogba is said to, “hate” playing in the more withdrawn role and feels he should be the player given the more advanced position currently occupied by Fernandes.

In order to get a better balance in the squad, Solskjaer is understood to be seriously considering dropping one of the pair, so he can play a more disciplined and combative sitting duo behind his advanced midfielder.

Donny van de Beek could come into the midfield pivot, though he mainly played an attacking, box-to-box role for Ajax – with Solskjaer believing his best quality is his nose for goal – which is similar to the role both Pogba and Fernandes want to play.

You can do whatever you like, but legendary status can be eroded and tainted. Ronaldo has recently irked United fans, and his performance at Madrid has reduced his status at United. Paul Ince for instance did what legends do at United but he is not a legend at United. You cannot compare Ronaldo with the likes of Rooney, Giggs, Scholes, Charlton, Keane etc. Ronaldo is a more of a Madrid legend. For me once your name doesn't embody a particular club, your legendary status is watery.

Many factors come into play when someone is considered a legend. Titles won, loyalty, longevity, goals, fans acceptance, assists etc.

It's almost impossible to have all these unless you're Messi so some can be excused, especially if you're a fan favourite.
