Thanks.

It seems most right footed players excel on the left wing and lefties on the right.

Maybe Greenwood can come on and impress a bit- not too much though, so that these journos won't start piling pressure on him.
Yeah. I dont even know why Southgate invited him. Why not U21 for now. Ferguson would not have allowed it.

How is he playing?

His performance in this kind of match (parkdabus) is important because that is how most of our matches will be next season.
He is sharp as usual, and would have had an assist but Rice fluffed the chance. He switched with Sterling, but Icdont know if it's me, but Sterling caused more problems than Sancho at RW. Sancho looked better in LWF than he was in RWF after the switch. Iceland is very disciplined in defence though, and rarely got out of their area.

For me Rice and Foden were killing it

Pickford is their no 1, Pope no 2 and Henderson no 3.

Bench DDG next season and that will take him to no 1.

Kane goal was clean.
Sancho started well but went missing later on.
Ddg will retain his no. 1 spot next season, unless he does his usual.

If you ask me, Pope is better than the 3 of the England GKs.

Yeah I see him.

Rice has impressed me TBH. He is not bad linking the attack. And he is even more visible and enterprising trying to find space in opposition defence than Ward-prowse who is in front of him.
Foden has been good too.

I had to check the handle twice. This is a great post.
Banter aside Chelsea made great signings this season. The problem is will Chelsea fans allow the players to settle in? Would they be listening to banters from rival fans and give up on promising young players? Some players take up to 2 years to bed in, some hit the ground running. Among Chelsea signings I see Ziyech and Werner hitting the ground running, Costa will just be normal but will bring experience. Havertz might take little time, so Lampard should rotate him with Mount and take pressure off him, he still have time he is just 21. Imagine if all these Chelsea signings become hit, even if its next year. Lol. We are all dead.

Marina is the boss!
The truth is nobody is sure of the amount. English media is saying £71m max/€80.
German media is saying £90m/€100m.
Chelsea official site said he is the record signing.
Leverkusen official is saying €100m.
The fee just like some transfers are undisclosed.

Till today nobody knows how much barca paid for Neymar, Van der sar and Evra to Man United. Only yesterday we knew how much madrid paid for Hazard, Madrid denied it though. So its undisclosed.
Moreover if he plays well nobody will remember the amount. Goodluck to him

Work is being done on an exit out of Manchester United for Sergio Romero. Aston Villa have shown the most interest but United value the player at £8m-£10m. Sources have downplayed the prospect of signing Jack Grealish after signing Van de Beek.

That's a good money for Romero I swear. Now Smalling for €17-20 million as rumoured is also good. Perriera, Jones and Lingard should fetch us extra 40m pounds

The potential rivals would be Liverpool, Chelsea, City, and at a stretch Bayern.

I don’t see him going to Real with their 2 Young Brazilian stars, the Belgian fat flop, and their impending Mbappe move.
Gone are the days when Madrid outbid clubs for huge talents, sancho is English so wont have the unnecessarily Bayern pull, mostly German players are the ones who run to Bayern. We are bigger than Chelsea on one on one transfer duels except if we are not interested. I dont see Liverpool spending over 100m when their front 3 is intact. Again most of this will also depend on how we perform this year. In case we didn't buy him this summer

If one is to worry about Sancho i think players like Dembele, Kagawa, Mkhitaryan would be the examples to give.

Sancho's first 2 full seasons are better than than Dele Alli's first 2 EPL seasons. Just that Delel Alli was doing it in the hype of EPL while Sancho was doing it in the obscurity of Bundesliga.
Also remember that Dele Alli had actually played 2 full seasons in the Championship so those EPL seasons were his 3rd and 4th seasons as a pro while Sancho was a true rookie.

Dele Alli was a stat padder with good movement and anticipation but obvious technical limitations. Sancho is a better dribbler and creator of goals and is actually also more prolific.
So even the stats that Dele Alli pads he is inferior to Sancho in and Sancho looks like he has a higher ceiling.
He is not Messi, Neymar, or Mbappe though.

Sancho 2018/2019 Age 18-19 .......................12 goals 14 assists
Alli 2015/2016 Age 19-20 ........................10 goals 9 assists

Sancho 2019/2020 Age 19-20 ........................17 goals 16 assists
Alli 2016/2017 Age 20-21..........................18 goals 7 assists

In the first 2 seasons Alli had 28 goals, 16 assists while Sancho had 29 goals, 30 assists. Dele Alli was a year older and with 2 more years of pro experience YET he scored less and created far less.
Alright. Let just hope Ed doesn't bungle this opportunity. Because if it enters a transfer bazaars type next season, I dont trust our own ED. And Sancho might have more options to chose from
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CapitalCee(m): 4:13am On Sep 02, 2020

Sancho had better stats than Dele Alli's best season AND he was younger. Dele had 25 goal contributions in the season he turned 21 and Sancho had 33 goal contributions in the season he turned.

In addition Dele Alli was never a real youth prodigy unlike Sancho that was always the best out of his age mates from around the age of 15....and this is a out of a really talented group of youngsters that won the under 17 world cup for England.

Also it is a bit unfair to compare him to Rashford and Sterling who are much older. Sterling in particular is over 5 yrs older. Sancho is a talented player but he is not Messi or Neymar.

Finally, apart from Messi and Ronaldo scoring goals nothing is certain in football. However you can't fail to act just because you are afraid you won't succeed.
I am not saying we shouldn't sign him, infact he should be a priority. I dont just want to overate him, and I was also pointing out that teams will think twice to fu..ck out 150m for him next season as the original poster stated, he might go on to become a £250m player, but it's not certain.

Apart from standing out among his peers throughout his development, which is true. I dont think Sancho performance in his first 2 full seasons were better than that of Alli's first 2. I remember very vividly how Alli keep bossing matches at the greatest stage against the very "topest"of teams in pressure cooker tight matches. I haven't really seen Sancho do that. And he was 19 when he joined Spurs so was the same age as Sancho is now. Again Yes Rashford and Sterling are more experienced, but for the way he is being talk about, while he was exceptional in those England matches, he did not show CLEARLY that he is better than them. I expect him to be a class above them. Mbappe for example didn't need experience to dominate the WC, neither do Rooney in Euros, these are players that when you sign, you are Certain will be world class. Sancho same as Havertz are exceptional talents but still have a long way to go

Add Beckham too but from your list only Rooney, Smith, Keane and Ferdinand were signed apart from smith those are all generational talents. Rooney for example already beasted Euros before we signed him. The rest were academy graduates, I am not against academy graduate, neither am I against signing English players, but making it a priority is wrong

With the level of talent Sancho has, for a 20yr old, I find it hard seeing a possibility of him tailing off. At this point, only a poor lifestyle can hinder him, and judging from his interviews so far, I highly doubt if he lives such lifestyle. Also, he hasn’t shown any signs of being injury-prone.
Dembele nko, Joao Felix nko? I know you will wave it away, but bring Dele stats from his first seasons at spurs, that of Sancho is not better and that was in the EPL oo. And Dele scores important goals against the biggest teams. Chelsea, United, City, Juventus, Madrid, Arsenal etc. Sancho doesn't.

I am not saying Sancho will not reach the highest level, but there is absolutely nothing to suggest that he will be a CERTAIN superstar. So far I haven't seen him take a really big game by the scruff of the neck. I have watched him in England national team, he did not clearly stand out from Rashford and Sterling. Mind you, I am not knocking him, but let's not get too much ahead of ourselves

Sancho actually wants to join United [Romano], but BVB played their game well on him, to ensure they get good money off him. They offered a new contract with good wages, just enough to persuade him not to mind staying one more season.

If United don’t get Sancho this summer, I highly doubt that they’ll ever get him, because if he keeps performing well, it’ll be an auction ground next summer, definitely hitting €150m.
What if he tails off starting from this season. Dele Alli was unplayable few seasons ago, beasting Juventus, Madrid and co. He even did his own in the EPL. Sancho was good in the Bundesliga yes, but the 2 full seasons he was in the UCL, he did not particularly set the world alight. Mbappe and Haaland who are rated as his level hit the ground running at the get go in the UCL. TAA, Upamecano, De ligt and Alphonso if you are talking of defender. You can make a case for his age though.
Except he reaches Absolute Mbappe level, I dont see any club paying Dortmund €150m for Sancho. Clubs are now very careful to pay that huge money for youngsters who are not confirmed superstars. Especially with what happened to Dembele and Joao Felix. Especially when this 100m Euros guy Chelsea is bringing flops.

Ok my bad. But I dont need any overrated English/ British player. Especially those limited average Joes Giggs is throwing at us, so we can develop his national team for him.
The difference makers that Klopp signed were Salah, Mane, Allison, Fabinho, Robertson and VVD. Plus the emergence of TAA. Only Robbo and TAA are British, and there are unexpected success. That English project that Ole was pursuing is certainly bound to fail

I have not paid attention to that. We will talk about this later.

What do you guys think about Messi coming to EPL? If he joins Man City, the league automatically becomes theirs. Don't you think so?
I have been praying silently for Messi to remain in Barca or go to PSG or somewhere else. If that guy enter EPL. The league is as good as done and dusted. Messi can comfortably give you extra 25-30 points on his own. Make opponents to resign to defeat even before the game kickoff and create an absolute fear factor on any team he joins. If Messi joins City. That's it.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CapitalCee(m): 7:20pm On Sep 01, 2020
It's funny how we bought both Bruno and VDB for a combined £72m + Bruno's Balloon dor add on. But would have gotten maddison and Grealish for a combined £160m. That's madness, the gulf in class is very huge for half the price.

We have Maguire, Shaw, Henderson, Rashford, Greenwood, AwB that's half the team as potential confirmed starters who are English already. Mctomminay, James and Williams is British, Pogba and TFM are home grown. Not to talk of Perriera, Lingard, Smalling, Jones who btw are still our player. We have academy players coming up too. So we are Overflowing with English/British/Home grown players already.

Please I think we should suspend signing any English player till further notice. I dont want to hear Longstaff, Buendia, Rice, Cantwell, Mings, etc from Ole's mouth again, except if he wants thunder to fire him. Imagine if we had sign Dele Alli and Eric Dier, when the English media were pushing us, we would have been looking at how to offload more big wage deadwoods

Except for exceptional talented like Sancho.
