Griffon: I don't see us losing out to Liverpool and Wolves though. A draw at Anfield and a home win over Wolverhampton is on the cards, you can watch this space.
Even if we lose to Liverpool, and play out a draw with Wolves, which apparently is the worst case scenario, I don't see our closest opponent Leicester beating Spurs and Manyoo.
And if Wolves are to stage a late fight by beating their next two opponents; Burnley and Crystal Palace, all we need is just 4pts to stay above them, starting with Norwich on Wednesday.
Folks no need to panic. So you want us to do you a favour e kwa??. In case you dont know, we are trashing Southampton, Palace and West Ham to qualify for champions league before our match with Leicester. Therefore, You better not lose to Liverpool, because we are fielding Chong, Lingard, Perriera, Ighalo and co vs Leicester. Bruno and Pogba will be rested for the FA Cup Finals against City. - Lose to Liverpool and your point gap with Wolves could be 2 points. With that your Kano Pillars goal difference, we go sell match give Leicester while Wolves go finish the job.

sinizia: Please, don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting dropping Matic. I only remembered the incident. The incident wasn't even a major threat like Pogba's own that almost cost us a goal and Matic wasn't really close to our 18-yard box.
I'm in support of sticking with this 11, but Matic, Pogba and whoever should be smart enough not to take unnecessary risks in front of our 18-yard box. Thank you very much sir |

Expert17: Fred will be dispossessed even more.....
Fred energy we are talking about is for what exactly because if we talk of defending.....Matic is better and even the attack, Matic is likely to assist or score compared to Fred. Fred is a player I like, and Ibdont have any problems starting or playing him, my point is this starting XI is working fine, it's better we maintain it, no need gambling. We can try out other players when we are secured. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CapitalCee(m): 12:58pm On Jul 12, 2020 |
sinizia: I remember that incident, it was a pure foul and the ref should have blown it. But Matic was slow to release the ball before he got out-muscled. Is it only matic that get outmuscled, thank God you said its supposed to be a foul, nobody is immune to losing possession. Like I mentioned before Pogba nearly cost us to concede first, does that make him slow? Please now we are close to the prize, it's better we stick to the best line-up. If it's not broken why fix it? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CapitalCee(m): 12:53pm On Jul 12, 2020 |
Leyqute: Not talking about Pogba.
Matic was outmuscled and dispossessed in front of the box while trying to make a turn. Thought the ref would blow a foul but he didn’t. Ok. But the most dangerous chance that we conceded and villa nearly scored was a mistake by Pogba, he was crowded and dispossessed. Moreover if you want to be a big team that control games you need to take risks to keep the ball. You are just probably banging on about the incident because it's Matic, and you always feel he is slow. If it were to be another player, you won't even remember he was dispossessed. Matic is an experienced player and he knows what is at stake, he needs to start next match, font worry he will not be overrun |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CapitalCee(m): 12:38pm On Jul 12, 2020 |
Leyqute: Your brain and good use of the ball will be useless if as slow as you are, you are overcrowded and denied the little time and space to do your thing.
How is that hard for you to grasp?
There was a time Matic was dispossessed in a dangerous position during the last match and if not for luck we would’ve conceived.
For most of the first 20-30 mins we were denied space and prevented from relaxing into our usual rhythm and playing our style.
Is it until we concede from one of those that you’ll understand ?
It’s not “energy over brain”, it’s all about finding a solution to the problem- that will most likely present itself tomorrow evening. I don’t care who starts or not, I just want the 3 points. It was Pogba not Matic that was dispossessed that nearly led to a goal. |

Oasis007: I don't understand why some Folks are calling for the Players' rest. Why do they need rest, if I may ask? Fatigue? Did we forget these Players have rested long enough? Thanks to Covid-19.
I don't see a Reason for altering, tinkering the Lineup for now. To build a Team, solid Team, you've got to playing them together at every given Opportunity.
Check Barcelona, Madrid Lineups, they barely change their respective Lineups, bar Injuries - same thing applicable to Bayern.
Fitness is all matter, if they're fit to play, so be it. Dont mind them, some people de do like say dem no know wetin dey at stake. Even Martial and bruno were not happy with being substituted last match. It tells you that they still have the energy to play. Moreover a keen observer will notice that Rashford is beggining to get his mojo back, why rest him? |

adebayo201: This coming week is quite a busy week for the team... Monday, Thursday then Saturday.
In my own opinion, players need rest but it should be a kind of rest that will be systematic. Play 70 mins then rest for the next game.
The back four won't be change except for a card or injury (God forbid). I know William can come in for either Shaw/AWB and Dalot can come in for AWB but he hasn't got any game except the FA which he's substituted after some minutes.
Bailey too can come in for Lindelof. The last match really shows the compact in the team. They're gelling little by little especially the 'second midfielders'. Nobody needs any rest. Ole is starting the same first eleven till we secure top 4. He is managing it well, that was why he substitute the key players after about 60-70 minutes. 60-70 minutes every 3 days for a proffesional footballer is not too much. Also notice that as the game progresses and we have virtually put the game to bed, we usually slows the pace of the game to conserve energy. Let him continue this way it's just 5 games or possibly 6 with FA cup finals. Then after that we have LASK but with a 5 goal lead, rest everybody, then that quarter final we can rest more players. Then start the semis with the best eleven as well as the final. To make top 4 this season is a must, so the team must sacrifice immensely to ensure that. Any more slip ups might prove costly. I trust ole he will continue with the same eleven |
