It was a freak result. After the first goal and Bruno’s controversial red card, they just kept the ball for the most part. The remaining two goals could’ve been avoided had our players kept their cool.

I didnt say I have no doubt that we’ll win either. There was a condition attached to that statement but you obviously focuswd on one part.

They’re not that great to be feared. If we perform to our abilities we have a better chance at winning. Then I added that Amad could decide the game for us.

I agree the first match was a freak result, but they were better than us before the red card, and already 1-0 ahead.
The other matches were away matches. And the last match we were missing so many players that the only senior player on the bench was Lindelof, the only substitution Amorim made was Obi for Casemiro in the 91st minute. The 4-3 game, there was no VAR, 2 of their goals would have been chucked off.
Overall, the both teams are almost evenly matched.

The final is too difficult to predict, I hope our senior players show determination and character. If they miss Bergval, Maddison and Son, then their potency in attack is diminished. I also fear Solanke. Kulusevski is another danger man, but he has not been the same since his return from injury, same for Destiny Udogie.

We now have a more settled team than when we met them previously, remember also that the games Amorim managed, Spurs were at home, this is now a neutral ground.
Spurs is more clinical than the other teams we met so far in the tournament, apart from may be Lyon, that's why I just hope Solanke will be somehow out of the game. We need to be careful at the back and hope Onana behave himself. I think if Amad starts and does as expected and Mount continues his new lease of life, we can hurt them.

I predict an uneventful 2-1 win for Man United.

They were better than us and scored in the first game, although Bruno was erroneously sent off in the first half, to kill off the game. Nobody knew how the game will pan out if was still Bruno on for the entire game. And that was under ETH.

The second game was a comedy of errors from the 2 goal keepers. Their last 2 goals wouldn't have stood, one was offside, the other, our GK who was poor in that match was upended. In that game Their was no VAR.
Spurs started with Kukusevski, Son, Maddison and Solanki up front, that's their best front line. Although they didn't have Romero and Van de ven in that match, who to be honest are miles better than Gray and Dragusin. Porto and Bissuoma also started, another starters.
Our was a disjointed starting line up, Lindelof, was replaced by Evans, Martinez started but was atrocious.

And in the last game, the game would have gone either way. We missed glorious chances.

The final is too close to call. I am counting on the determination and character of our players to win.

We need to urgently tied down Leny Yoro, with a lengthy extension, and also start winning Asap. We dont want real madrid free transfer drama. The boy is on course for a world class career. And he looks like a level headed, well behaved professional. We need him for the next 15 year.

We should start Casemiro/Bruno pivot and Amad as the right 10. Whoever is in form between Mount/Garnacho/Mainoo should be the left 10.

The way to beat Spurs is to hit them early and throw them into confusion. I don't think these late come backs will work against them.

Exactly my point. For me I will start Amad and Mount in 10, and take the early initiative. We can control the game when we are with the lead rather than having to come back. Spurs is a typical EPL team.

We have mismanaged loan deals for academy players a lot in this club. The only successful loan deal that readily comes to mind is Amad's 2nd loan. Once the club loans you out just know that your own is finished at the club.

Look at Oyedele for instance. We loaned him to a relegation bound team in League Two that was in the midst of losing 12 straight games and using 3 different managers. Which club in that position will give minutes to another club's academy players to learn?

He then came back to the club in the summer, ETH did not fancy him, and we sold him to Legia Warsaw in the Polish League. He got there and after 2 games with his club he got a call up to the Polish national team. There is no way a player who is making national team call ups within 2 games in a league is not good enough for League Two.

I am always shocked at some lowly clubs we send our players for loans. I wonder whether there are no championship teams to take them. I watched Oyedele agaisnt Chelsea in the Conference league, he was very good, although not quality enough to improve us at the moment. But we can get something for him, we got £10m for Kambwala for example.
