Wow, we played agaisnt Arsenal 11 vs 11 and we were the better team.

We played agaisnt Sociedad away 11-11 and we were the better team.
We played away to Lyon 11 vs 11 and was winning until Onana gave away a goal.

Agaisnt Bilbao who has the best defence in la liga we were 2-0 up before the red card. So how does that translate to winning due to 10 men.
I have been watching how many people's talk here about the team and the manager, all I can do is to just laugh.

Chido Obi at 17 is a wonderful prospect, but is not ready yet for EpL games starting. He needs to continue with the youth team and eventually go on a loan to develop more skillsz. but I was told that he is better than Hojlund. As bad as Hojlund is Obi is no where near.

We need at least 5 quality players in a number of positions including the GK. then we will be fine. The academy players should be gradually ease in or loaned out.

I did not watch the game , but I saw the highlights. It seems nobody want to praise the goals and assists of Garnarcho. . I guess only his mistakes are worth highlighting. Or may be there are other things he did in the match that is wrong.

Ayden Haeven is looking like another Solid defender. One more stroke of lucky signing in CB, we will have a firm foundation in Central defence for years.
If Amass live up to his potential, or/and Dorgu somehow doing and Evra.
Zirkzee is 23, for me the boy is a joy to watch, he may just explode. Amad Diallo is 22 now, he is looking like another one who can explode.
This is how winning teams are biult. Stroke of luck and sudden explosion of youngsters who few months prior were erratic. Benzema once said in 2021 that Vini Jnr. was playing against them, look at him now.

In 2006/2007. Rooney and Ronaldo after the 2006 WC debacle suddenly exploded into world class players. Vidic and Evra who initially struggled when they arrived for decent fees suddenly became imperious. Then there was the signing of a 34 year old Van der Sar as a stop gap while we search for a long term GK. Then after missing out on Mikel to Chelsea, we were given £16m as compensation, £14.8m was used from that money to Purchase a certain silky DM from Spurs.
Then we had very good experience players who are good but just needed that crop of players to show their quality. There were Rio Ferdinand who was already world class at that time, experienced hands like Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Gary Nevvile/Solskjaer who were on there last days but contributed massively tht season, and back from injury Luis Saha. Plus that workhorse Ji Sung Park who always shines on big occasions. That was the foundation fergie used to dominate for years once more.

This was our best eleven that season was:
VDS, Gary Neville, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo, Rooney and Saha(Later Larsson due to injury to Saha). There was no major earth shattering changes or spending.
Imagine adding Vidic, Van der Sar, Carrick, Evra and JS Park did to that team, plus Rooney/Ronaldo coming of age.
Remember the previous season we were 4th in our UCL group containing Lille, Benfica and Villareal. Later went on to win the Carling Cup.
No one knows what will happen next season. Alot can change, players we don't expect can explode unlocking a lot of potentials. Even Garnacho, yes Garnacho can suddenly become good, he is 20.

Scamming can only go on at a certain level. If we qualify for CL next season and we've still not gotten it together, the top teams there will embarasss us and it won't be funny.

Not true, Although I believe there will be some improvements and its a must, but we played Porto, Fernabache and Rangers in the group stage, 40% of the teams in the UCL are this level of quality. And real Sociedad, Bilbao and Lyon are not particularly a push over team no matter how people try to mock their quality, in this Europa competition our path is one of the hardest. And we have proven under Amorim that we can stand toe to toe against top teams that plays expansive football. Look at our games against Arsenal, City and Liverpool, our problems are the physical mid table EPL teams.

For Example, Arsenal played the following teams. Atalanta, PSG, Sharktar, Dinamo Zagreb, Girona, Monaco, Inter, and Sporting. 11 points was enough to go through to the play offs. Given how we played in this Europa under Amorim, we should get wins versus Sharktar, Zagreb, Girona and may be Monaco. A draw at home to early season PSG will not be out of place, a draw away to post Amorim Sporting CP will also not be surprising, even a result versus Atalanta is even possible . And boom we have 13/15points. The possible Playoffs opponents are:
Monaco, Brest(Who are same level with Lyon), Sporting, Club Brugge, Celtic, Feyenoord (who are not particularly better than Porto, Real Sociedad, Bilbao, and Lyon infact I fancy us to knock these teams out), then Juve and City who we can avoid or even beat on our day especially Juve. So 6/8 teams we can even beat them. go to the Round of 16 and Luckily get Lille, Feynoord, PSV, Dortmond, Benfica, Club Brugge, Lille even Aston villa, scam a win against any of these and we are in the quarterfinals where we will most likely lose, thats not embarrassment in my book. During the Moyes disastrous season we reach quater finals, even Leicester reach quarter finals of UCL and in relegation battle.

Aston Villa met the following team. Celtic, Leipzig, Juventus, Monaco, Club Brugge, Bologna, Bayern and Young Boys.
City played: Inter, Slovan Bratislava, Sparta Prague, Sporting, feyenoord, Juve, PSG and Club Brugge.

These set of fixtures are not really insurmountable for us.

Next seasons UCL Galatasaray, Bilbao, Ajax, Frankfurt and Slavia Prague + Either Us/Spurs are almost guaranteed to be in the group phase, Nice, Lyon, Lazio, Roma are very close to qualification too, all these teams played this season Europa and where knocked out.
Chelsea and Betis in Conference league are close too, Bodo glimt are in play offs.

Mind you. I am not saying we don’t need improvement, but that we will get embarrassed, is not factual given the evidence of how we performed against quality teams outside EPL and against top teams. The disastrous UCL campaign we had with ETH has everything to do with ETH himself and Onana.

The lack of pressure at other clubs is what will make someone think 22yr old McAtee is a teenager. If he was at United our fans would have already hounded him out for not showing superstar qualities already.


Kamason, Mantato, Kone all made the 1st team training today. Maybe 1 or 2 of them could make the bench this weekend. I have been reading that Amorim is quite impressed with Mantato but his injury hampered his readiness to try for the 1st team. Mantato has stylistic similarities to Quenda but maybe not as quick. How good he can be in the senior game is to be determined.

Kamason has been dominant in his position since January and has made the bench before. Maybe he can get some minutes this weekend.

Kone has serious potential but i think he is still a little raw to play in CM for the senior team at this stage, but we will see.

We need to be careful with Montato, he just recently returned from injury, we may just need to leave him till the preseason. Apart from the Europa games we have just 4 league games.
Kamason is more mature, so could even start, I am happy that he is getting the recognition he deserves.
We may see the back 5 of Amass, Lindelof, Fredricson, Kamason and then split minutes for Deligt, and Yoro.
Honestly, my mind de cut with Maguire and Yoro playing in league games, these 2 are so important for the Europa.

As for Kone, I watch the full match of the U21 the last time, while his touches are top notch, he still needed to adapt to the speed and tempo of the senior game, he may eventually feature this season at some point, But I think the preseason will be the place where he will be properly integrated.

Lol. I have said it before, the most pressing areas we need to address in the summer is an experienced Number 9 and a decent GK. Any well taken shot on target against Onana is a guaranteed goal, which ussually changes the complexion of games.

I don't see him playing a part this week, he may get few minutes against Brentford and then may be start in the second leg at Old Trafford. Same for Deligt whom I am also very excited he is back, he solves a lot of the defence puzzle we have.
Again, I want to be proven wrong, but Dalot's injury is a big blow to us.

The same people who want to rush teenagers into the senior team are the same people who will be the first to start dropping weekly attacks when the teenagers struggle and start comparing them to Yamal and Pele, and they are the same people who preach that all teenagers are not equal.

Thank you very much Doc. You know I mentioned something like this before and you understood it partly. I have carefully studied majority of the clubs that has newly purchased or promoted youngsters who are among the best. They don't usually put all the club's pressure on these youngsters even though they are really good.
But United fans will want an 18/19 year old who even though he is good is largely inexperienced and have several aspects of their games to improve on, including psychological strength. When that youngster fail to be 10/10 week in week out consistently, they say he is rubbish and start calling for him to be sold without considering their ages and their stage in development. When I point out that we should give these young players a chance as they are not even supposed to be automatic starters, a lot of our fans will see it as if I am defending the player.

For me, Obi is still completely inexperienced and he needs at least few more years to start starting games at all even few games. He is still 17 for God's sake, same with Amass and several other youngsters. Our fans have suddenly forgot that Kobbie Mainoo is playing in his second full season now, infact last season his season started around November, even Garnacho and they are still 20, but our fans wants them to lead us to UCL trophies. The pressure of playing for Man United is nkt the same with playing for even Chelsea. The scrutiny is mad, so the step up needs to be carefully managed. Even Dorgu, I see people already insulting him and pilling pressure on him, forgetting that he is just 20, coming middle of the season from a bottom team in Italy into a disfunctional team. This is really uncharitable and unfair. There are 2 fantastic players at Chelsea, Tariq George and Acheapong, these are players that even at youth level are significantly better than some of our youngsters these our fans are calling for the manager to start, yet despite the recent performances of these Chelsea youngsters, I dont see majority of Chelsea fans calling for them to be comfirm starters in high profile games. When some of us complain about these things some will see it as though we are overprotective the youngsters or we are stanning them.

As in Onana is a net negative, we need to overhaul our attack and change the GK, honestly a lot will improve
