afrodoc2: Jack Fletcher has not been that good. He was sloppy with a few passes and then got a careless yellow card when caught on the ball. Tyler has been better. Kamason has struggled to beat his man and he allowed a few runs past him. Scanlon has been good. In this game Kukonki has coped better on his flank than Kamason IMO.
Devaney spoiled his good play with some silly critical mistakes so i will say Tyler Fletcher has been the best player in this first half. Maybe you are mixing the Fletcher twins up, but Tyler has been better than Jack in this game.
We can remove Devaney who is already on a yellow and bring on Thwaites, remove Biancheri and move Scanlon to the left so that Mantato can play on the right. Against Arsenal Thwaites and Montato were the one that won the game for us. Yeah may be I am missing the Fletcher twins, one of them has been outstanding. Kukonki is not even getting into positions to cross, he is also sloppy in possession. Well that's not his position. |

I don't think that Kukonki is that good, well he is still young but at the under 18 level he looks very average. Maybe because hevis playing at left back. We really missed Amass on that position. Jack Fletcher, Kamason and James Scanlon has been the best player for us. We need Montato and zTwaites in the second half to change the game |

afrodoc2: Remember Kukonki only turned 17 last month so he is actually just a 1st year scholar playing in central defence and he is easily outmuscling practically everybody he comes against.
He will still be eligible for Under-18 next season and will likely be our most senior CB there after Munro and Armer would have moved to the Under-21s full time.
Kukonki’s size makes people forget how young he is actually. When Amorim called him to the first squad he was still 16.
Ngwashi seems even more highly rated than Kukonki but I have only seen very little him. Kukonki’s recent hype is partly because he has had a remarkable growth spurt in the past 12 months. Good. Ngwashi is the one that the club is accused of age cheat I think? Is it? I think they are twins. The one I heard JJ Gabriel's father snitched on. We are really bringing through black physical defenders and I like it. |

afrodoc2: It is not a quality thing.
1) Kamason is a RB. Kukonki is a LCB. So they are not in competition for the same position at all.
2) When Amorim came in Lisandro was the only fit LCB in the squad so there was an opportunity for Kukonki to be useful, if not on match day at least in training to complete the teams
3) Kukonki as a LCB that has played LB is stylistically more suited to the Amorim system than Kamason who is a right footed RB. Mantato suits Amorim’s Lisbon system as a RWB more than Kamason. Kukonki, Mantato, Lacey, Kone, Ibragimov and a few others are ones that are natural stylistic fits for the system
4) Kukonki despite being younger is physically more prepared at this stage to play against men.
5) Kamason was hit and miss until the 2nd half of this season. He showed glimpses but consistency and dominance only started recently.
The summary is that while not being greatly rated in the academy, the combination of his size, strength, and him being left footed and a better stylistic fits gives Kukonki a head start in the competition for senior places. Yeah, I see. We have a lot of options in the RCB in the senior team. Honestly while he is normally good, Kukonki seems not to standout even in the 18s. But like you said, his physicality is the advantage. Amorim seems to like physical monsters in defence, like Debast and Diomande at sporting. I also think Heaven at 18, is a fantastic signing and siuts Amorim system like a glove, how Arsenal let him go easily is a mystery to me. For Montato, he will flourish in the RWB position, and he is a left footer, thats what Amorim is looking for. Dorgu cant just do that as seen in his first match for us, but Montato is killing that position in the youth team. |

Afrodoc2. Please I noticed that Amorim seem to rate Kukonki higher than Jayden Kamason even though Kamason is well older than him and for me noticeably plays better for now.
Meanwhile, I like that Jimmy Thwaites is getting the attention he deserves. |

I’m not familiar with the youth team, any insights about him. We will appreciate sirs He is 17 year old left footed, Right winger in our academy recently scored the extra time winner in our FA youth cup match against Arsenal. Very strong, relentless, pace and full of energy. His style of play is more like that of Arsenal’s Saka. He is one of the best players currently in our academy, very highly rated. Although i was thinking that it was too early to promote him, but maybe Amorim wants to start integrating into the first team from now. |

afrodoc2: I am talking about the football they played at that World Cup. Even that Dutch team with Van Bommel and De Jong butchering people up and down did not resemble any previous Dutch teams. Brazil was the only decent team that Netherlands defeated in that world cup. Although they were effiecient and clinical but not eye catching. Germany and Spain were the best team in that tournament. |

afrodoc2: Even if we don't buy Cherki, we should not pay 60m for Dibling. That fee is too much for an unproven player. Thank you, I dont even want him for anything above 25m. He has all the trappings of a potential flop written all over him, I haven’t really been proven wrong many times when i profile a potential flop especially for pure English players. |

AirBere: This man lol. Why are you making the team look way worse. I don't think they were that bad. In the build up to the tournament, many people had them as one of the favourites. In the game Vs Netherlands, they were tipped to qualify by ESPN and Sky sports.
Some of their players just won the treble; Lucio, Maicon and Julio Caesar.
Dani Alves was in his prime, Juan was doing well for Roma and was a starter in 2006 as well. Michel Bastos had arguably his best season leading Lyon to the UCL semi final. Melo started strongly with Juventus before fading off but made the squad as starter just like how Acuna(Argentina) made it as a bench player for Sevilla.
Thiago Silva was on the bench and Kaka although now injury prone was still key. Luiz Fabiano was above average. The squad was not bad as you put it lol. Let's not forget Elano😜our free kick maestro.
I think that 2010 team will completely smash the 2014 team and you didn't consider throwing up on them.
For context, in my opinion, the 2010 team is not so different from the 2006 French team that reached the final.
Coupet was ahead and we all thought he was gonna start ahaed of washed Bartez, Thuram was on his last legs and I think was recalled from retirement, same with Zidane. Wth all due respect to Gallas, he was never a world class centre back. But he and Thuram did the job anyways in 006. They started slowly and eventually got there.
The point I'm trying to make here is that with a better luck and a more enterprising coach, the Brazil 2010 squad could've reached the final too. I doubt they were as bad they way you just painted them here lol. I watched the game against Netherlands in the quater final, they outplayed Netherlands, its true, they world have gotten to the final vs spain. That team won the confederations cup and Copa America. They are serviceable as a team. |

afrodoc2: I am talking about their style of play and the quality of football. I have watched about 10 different Brazil world cup teams. That is by far the most un-Brazilian and disgusting of all their squads. No flair and all muscle and agidi.
The only serviceable attacking player they had was Luis Fabiano. Kaka was already starting to be washed, and Robinho was utterly washed. All their good players were defenders and fullbacks, that is why you are mentioning Maicon, Dani Alves, Julio Cesar, and Lucio. The 2014 team was mediocre too, but the flair of Neymar alone made them more enjoyable to watch. That 2010 team was a crime against Brazilianity. Lol. I remember that team, Maicon, Lucio, Juan, Elano, Marcelo, Kaka, Melo, Robinho, Ramirez and Fabiano. They won the Copa America and Confederation cup sha. If they had knocked out that Snieijder inspired dutch team in the Quarters they might have beaten Uruguay and met Spain in the final. Since Ronaldo Delima retired Brazil have not had another proper world class striker again, thats sad for a team like selecaio. |

It was all propaganda too against freedom fighter until we bought him..One question I ask is with all his obvious undeniable talent, why's no one looking for him?
We should tread carefully abeg, we have lots of issues already at the club.. We can easily resell, especially if his wages are not exorbitant. For Example Chelsea can resell Chukwuemwka for a little more than he was gotten as he didn’t make the first team. My fear is for the club to splurge that money we don’t have on overhyped English kids |

Even players who aren't associated with bad acts develop them due to the pressure. We should be avoiding future Sanchos, not stocking up on them.

Ryan Cherki is available now on £20m, but we will never sign him, what the ckub will do now is to rush and pay Southampton 60m+ for Tyler Dibling. Years later dumb fans who are now calling for him to be signed will start insulting him, his confidence will crash, another waste of money. There is one thing I have learnt, once, our fans begin to call for the board to sign a particular player, just know that, that player will flop. |

It is not right to pile on only the manager while some people go to work every 9am and close at 5pm at United without doing their jobs, and even worse still, without being held accountable for their incompetence. Honestly a huge chunk of our woes has been on the people running the club. They give ridiculous contracts to injury prone and average players, they can’t identify quality players, they can’t even profile players needed by the team. |

We play City 3 days before the tie. If we rest players too much, Pep and his men fit kill us and that might not be too good for the morale of the team just before the trip to France.
Like you said, I think we could do with some injury boosts. We need to rest players in the league, we need to focus on this Europa, City battering us in the league won’t do anything.
