The midfield is loaded in the academy. Oyedele is strong, athletic and can strike the ball well, but he is not as technically sound as Mainoo and Gore who are in his set for instance.

Then you have a number of players just a couple of years below him who are more highly rated as well.

I think he is going to be squeezed out but because of his physical attributes he should have a decent career elsewhere. But sometimes the patient dog eats the fattest bone, so you never know for sure.

There are some good first year scholars like Fletcher, Fitzgerald, Devaney who have some quality, but their profiles are very different from that of Mainoo. McAllister is a good 2nd year scholar but i have seen enough of him to know that he is a pure CDM and not Mainoo's level at all.

I dont think he meant same game pattern, but same level of quality even as a CDM or a proper CAM. Because Bruno and Casemero will be the end of us.
