The Examination body has to write "PASS" for it to be duly and properly recognized as a certificate before it becomes useful and before it can be said one possess a certificate.

Let no one deceive themselves.
If you fail an exam, the examination body will also write Fail. Pass or fail is not a requirement of our constitution.

In Nigeria, the constitution accept having schooled up to secondary school level or it's equivalent and sat for the school cert. You only need to sit for it. You don't have to pass it. Failure is also a result! Mind you.

I don't condone evil. She should be tried too. I'm not the one saddled with that responsibility Sir.

Are you expecting me to shield one evil for another evil? Well, I hope I've burst your bubble.

It's only unfair the way our system works. If Mmesoma could be punished at her level, these politicians should be inside prisons.

Na him dey bother stating tertiary qualifications. That's why I like Rauf Aregbe. He simply use his secondary school cert. since that's the minimum requirement. And funny as it may sound, you don't even have to pass the school cert/waec. You can have F9 parallel.

What does the law state about forgery? Lawyers in the house should comment. I don't think resignation alone is sufficient. He should be tried as well.

You really don't have to believe and I don't have to convince you, but if you're smart enough you could deduce my name out from the FM in my ID.

That said, you must understand that not everybody plays tribal cards. Some of us just don't bother with ethnic coloration.

You should look at it this way..., who are the people that voted Labour to win Lagos in the Presidential election? You should know it's our fellow yoruba's, unless you want to say the Igbo's are more than the Yoruba's in Lagos. Just pause and reflect on it.

ImpartialGuy:
Actually, there's nothing special about IGR. It means that a state is taxing their people higher than others. I don't know why you are comparing Enugu to other regions. Are you celebrating Enugu State govenor for taxing his people more?
You only tax the taxable. It simply means there's more people and businesses that fall into the tax bracket there. The same way, Lagos IGR is greater than the entire SE. It's obvious, more businesses and more people fall into the tax net of Lagos govt.

However, tax is not the only means of generating IGR. Lagos has several state own/ state operated businesses. E.g LAMATA, LASAA, LTV, Radio Lagos, Eko FM etc

Nwaikpe:
I see that you are open to learning. That is why you are asking. So, I will join:

1. They were against the sale of the refineries simply because it is their workplace, and selling it will put them at a disadvantage. It is a trade union that is meant to look out for the best of its MEMBERS. ASUU has spoilt Nigerians by trying to look out for the best of the education system over their own good; that is why Nigerians vilify them. Do you notice how nobody talks when doctors go on strike? It is simply because doctors NEVER go on strike because of the state of the hospital or the health system. They always go for and ONLY their pay and welfare. Therefore una no fit talk pim.

2. PENGASSAN never lied to Nigerians. The government lied to Nigerians, and the Union aligned with it because it serves their interest. That is why they are a trade union. It is their interest first. They are not there to represent Nigerians. They are not your legislators in the House of Representatives or Senate.

3. No, they won't be paid salaries, and they will protest and shut the nation down until the refineries are fixed and they are paid. That is why they are a trade union, sir.

4. Dangote is directly against them joining the unions. That is even the crux of the rift with PENGASSAN. Seems like you are talking about what you don't know anything about.
I think I understand you better. I better leave you to it. SMHFU!
Politics › Re: Dangote: Nigeria Greater Than PENGASSAN – FG by CaptainFM1: 3:14pm On Oct 06, 2025
Nwaikpe:
You have never seen them joining ASUU simply because they SUCCESSFULLY achieved the intimidation that Dangote is struggling to achieve. That is why up till tomorrow, a junior lecturer in ABU or UNN will be a visiting professor and the HOD of Covenant University or Base University. And the junior permanent staff in Covenant University will be hustling tooth and nail to become a lecturer in government institutions grin grin (things people will never tell you).
Somehow Nigerians take businesses as poverty alleviation programs, and therefore an employer assumes that employing "Nigerians" is simply doing them a favor. I don't blame them.

Secondly, PENGASSAN has never been in charge of making government refineries work. If they fail, it is the government that caused it. Not PENGASSAN.
Why were the Union against the sale of the four refineries?
Why did the Union lied to Nigerians that the refinery was producing fuel just few months back?
If NNPC staff salaries and emoluments were tied to Local production and the profits thereoff, do you think any workers there would get any salary, let alone be able to pay Union dues?

Since the removal of subsidy, the marketers have been hemorrhaging seriously. Their tank farms are rusting away and they are losing out of business because a superior business model came and expose all their corrupt practices. To make their lives even more miserable, Dangote is opting for last mile delivery down to the filling stations, effectively removing all the middlemen. This is the crux of the matter. The subsidy cabals and marketers are fighting back through the unions.

Dangote is no longer against them joining unions. But the workers must also know that an employer also has the right to move / transfer workers along his businesses, departments or subsidiaries in the interest of the business.

U09ce:
Your base logic is flawed sir. Unions are workers not employers. If unions killed refineries, we're they same persons who killed the power sector? What of our schools and hospitals? As a worker you make do with what you have because you're not part of the decision makers.
Are you in this country at all?
Who doesn't know that the unions are in hand in gloves with the marketers and corrupt polithifians who simply prefer to collect subsidy money and give services that only benefit their own personal interest.

A reasonable union should be able to front force or ensure the government refineries are working. After all they are getting dues from the workers there. But instead, this useless unions were lying to the nations just few months back that the refineries have started producing fuels.

If I were the President, the salaries of NNPC staff would be tied to their local production and the profits the company makes thereof. If the workers know this, they will be patriotic enough and won't allow marketers to hijack the system through unionism.

The unions knew the refineries will never work, well not with the systemic and structural obstacles they had deliberately engineered in cahoot with the marketers who have lived so large on subsidy scam.

This whole fiasco is simply because of the subsidy removal because the marketers tank farms are completely rusting away. And they are not getting extra money for importing fuels which landing cost is more than what Dangote offers.

To even make their lives extremely miserable, Dangote is opting to supply directly to filling stations, effectively removing the middle men (Marketers). That is the nexus of all their noise.

On the power sector, I believe you should by now see the connections. The marketers need the power sectors to remain in comatose because it would mean more money for the subsidy scam. We're largely a generator economy partly thanks to the marketers.

Our schools and hospitals?
Cabals are everywhere. What is important is, their interest must not be greater than the collective interest of the majorities.

You can see why Nitel never worked, but MTN, Glo and Airtel survived. Once it's state run properties, every one sees it as a milking machine. The thiefing cabals will run unions for them to facilitate their own personal and selfish interest.

A company has the right to move his workers along his group of companies/subsidiaries. I once worked with a company that has branches in almost every state and overseas. I resigned when I was posted to a location I don't want to go.

Only in Nigeria have I heard that joining unions is tagged sabotage and causing punitive measures. If the engineers were truly sabotaging the refinery, it wouldn't have reached its fruition.
The unions killed 4 government refineries. Yet they are collecting salaries and emoluments and union dues for years on refineries that has gulped almost 20billion dollars in turn around maintenance.

You must understand that it is our money, the collective wealth of every Nigerians that these people have wasted over the years.

Now, when you work with a company esp. a company that has several departments or various subsidiaries or group of companies, they have the right to transfer you to any department or location in the interest of the business.

Useless unions that could not make 4 Nigerian refineries to work. Yet they are collecting union dues and the good for nothing workers are collecting salaries and emoluments for years.

If you're a nutritionist, you would understand that there are varieties of bread. There is even cassava and garri bread. So don't generalise the word bread.

And you can incorporate different fruits that meet your nutritional requirements into bread.

As I've always advised, moderation is the key to everything. As good as water, if you drink it too much it may have adverse effect.

The funds he's collected from me just this year when calculated it looks like I have extended my stay till 2032 and he still wants more.

I am just a young man struggling and I don't plan on staying in this one room for just another year yet he keeps pressuring me to give him more money every time he has a little problem to sort or just to feed himself daily... Not to talk about the number of times he's come to knock on my door and asked from one grocery or another, which I normally give if I have.

Knowing how hard the situation of the country.. but as it is now it's getting too much. I have tried complaining to his elder brother's who has their own tenants but don't behave like that to talk to him to leave me alone but nothing seems to change. just this morning he came, asking for another sum and I blatantly refused that I don't have, he told me to try even if it's half. I was insisting I don't have then he start raising his voice telling me I would leave his house and he will get someone else in.

I remembered him all the money I have gave him before when calculated I still have seven more years. he's not saying anything reasonable.

Please I need help on how to handle this.
I think he's a nice Landlord. Many Landlord would just increase your rent to meet their economic reality.

So next time he comes to ask for a cup of garri, so well to give him soup also. One good turn deserves another.
