Harddiskng: So fraud is not a serious matter to you.
Is this not what social media scams are about, you go pay and not recieve what you paid for.
If it is not serious to you then you must be a fraudster.
When I say more serious pertinent matters, you should understand that it's not in anyway relegating this one to the bottom pit. If we see similar speed of adjudication on every other matters, people won't complain.
Even Fraud cases have categories. A poor man's fraud case of 50k is easily dispensed but those that runs into millions of dollars will take eternity or even squashed along the line once the judge has been settled or politically aligned.
omoadeleye: So those passengers are just tourists or exhibition crew?
Very possible.
I entered an exhibition plane parked at Image Garden Resort just beside Esie Museum, Kwara with my folks during our touring and we all sat inside and took pictures inside.
And just for your information, there are few decommissioned planes like that scattered around the country just for exhibition and tourism purpose.
It's just unfortunate that our tourism industry is not thriving as expected.
Thunderfayamods: He did not spoil anything, that is what everybody is doing on this platform especially our brothers from the east, any little thing "Igbo Amaka" There is nothing wrong, praise your own.
beerfraud: Liverpool Football Club has warmed the hearts of Nigerian fans especially the Yorubas after they hailed their teenage sensation Rio Ngumoha with the popular Yoruba phrase “AGBA BALLER” on their social media handle.
The term “Agba Baller” is a street slang in Yoruba which means “experienced baller” or “big baller”, often used to praise someone with extraordinary football skills beyond their age.
By using Yoruba language to celebrate Ngumoha’s talent, Liverpool has not only shown recognition of the youngster’s Nigerian roots but also strengthened their bond with millions of fans across Africa. ⚽🇳🇬 With moves like this, it’s clear that the Yorubas lead and the others follow
You have used the last paragraph to spoil the whole write-up. Your Tribal sentiment is not necessary.
Lorechino: Since this year alone ,I can vividly count how many celebrities that have had such horrible experience, reason is not that this Pop's are not strong, but after buying or renting the house many of them goes to add more decorations to it (modifying the existing POP, ADDING HEAVY LIGHTS , Changelings abi wetin , etc. Cos I have seen many people around me with this POP in their personal houses without issue for decades. (If u wan buy house go for structure test)
POP may be strong, but it's anchor point are certainly weak or poorly anchored.
ariesbull: don't call black people please....it's Yoruba people ...they don't behave like this in Nigeria Delta cos we had a lot of whites there for centuries or even in East
What happened to all the whites in Niger-delta since you no longer have them?
Immatex: You are right about English railway, among the best in terms of durability of infrastructure and just so you know, Britain invented the railway and has continuously operated it for 200 years now.
That said, there are vandals in British railways but the system is so robust that these vandals cause minimal disruption.
One way to deter vandals as done in England is that all rail tracks are fenced and barricaded from the point of construction, not like Nigeria where there’s unhindered access to railway tracks.
So it’s about our country’s poor regard for safety of lives and property. That’s why we just build for glorification and not for service to humans as humans.
As a mechanical engineering graduate myself, I feel shame that our engineers fail the society by delivering projects with poor safety standards.
Calm down, I've been to England myself. Not all tracks are fenced end to end. And there is a lot difference between vandals and scavengers.
We have several existential problems here that fencing will do little or nothing to protect the infrastructure when these scavengers, terrorists and bad people want to strike.
There are not enough police officers and emergency worker here as well to cover every inch of the country. That's why emergency response can take up to 3days compare to just few minutes in England.
So when I say the difference is heaven and earth, don't write as if you don't longer know the myriad of problems this country is facing. It cannot be solved overnight.
Immatex: Very obvious that poor state of track infrastructure was the cause of this avoidable accident.
The running rails has very little ballast to hold the sleepers.
The Cess is heavily eroded and there are no embankments to protect the tracks from landslides and earth movements.
Train was also not travelling at the appropriate speed for the track conditions.
Total absence of signalling on this tracks.
Gosh, I work as a competent train conductor in England and what I see here is abhorrent and repulsive. We build in Nigeria for an opportunity to loot not for the love of country or citizens otherwise why do we always refuse to factor in safety in our building and operational activities?
See comparing Nigeria with England is like comparing heaven and earth. One of our major problems here is bad citizens. The tracks were properly laid to the best standard in the world but scavengers goes about stealing rail nuts and bolts are the problems.
You don't have such scavengers in England.
How many road manhole covers have you heard missing in England?
Bribri: Mu talk. Don't people marry Nigerian women when broke too. U clearly read he foot the bill the best way he can. be happy for people who are happy that the least u can do.[qulotel lalllulllthor=CaptainFM1 post=136549215]American wife is an achievement? Strange and inferior mentality!
I'm happy for him. What I'm saying is we should stop glamorizing it as if marrying a black woman with even less amount is inferior.
Arostar2023: The man never said it was an achievement marrying a white as far as I can deduce from the article. He only stated how he celebrated his wedding without breaking the bank. Considering that he married a foreigner from a wealthier nation, that's an accomplishment of sort. Go and try the same feat with a poor girl from a city in Naija.
If they dash me any of them, I will not accept it. I like my Lupita skin babe. One day, we will learn to glamourize being black and find true and original beauty in ourselves.
Having been to all the continents of the world, I know how we black think we're inferior to the whites. Marrying a white woman should just be a normal thing and no need for special explanation how you manage to marry her. You gerrit? If you don't gerrit, forgerrabourit and gerrourof here.
SmartPolician: How does Forbes determine these things? I am 100% certain that these people didn't disclose their earnings to anyone because rich people, probably because of safety concerns, don't like discussing their wealth.
Given what the media has made us believe, there are people who are by far richer than these folks who made the list but they are silent kingmakers who don't want the world to know them. We have been told they are the biggest problems in our world
The use asset worth estimates. They can't be absolutely accurate though because most African billionaires don't declare their assets.
Somehow, I think President Tinubu should be among the top 10 too, but you will never see Forbes listing him among the top 100.
telleyway: That's not even the real problem. The problem is the same government that is wasting our money but failed to project our image positively on international stage will still turn around and blame opposition, Nigerian youth and what not for the battered Nigeria image globally.
Don't mind him. The governments should at least sell the CD of Davido, Wizkid, Burna and other Afrobeat musics there.
