My dad which was then in akwa ibom called me one morning to inquire about his younger sister and I told him she is fine. He went further to tell me that I should tell her not to embark on any travelling, save that she normally travel to the core northern states to purchase fresh pepper and then transport and sell them in Lagos to market women. I ask him what prompted this warning he told me he had a bad dream and he is afraid something terrible is about to happen to his sister.

I demanded more clarifications and he said. He dreamed that his sister visited him and she told him to take care of her children with such a low tone, he told her not to worry. He went further by telling me that, a moment later after spaeking to a freind, he came and met her lieing on his bed in pool of her blood with broken neck and spinal cord and that was the end of his dream.

He called me next morning and I relayed his massage to her verbally, she told me that she is not travelling during that december until after new year. Two days later my dad called me again, this time around with shaky voice commanding me to go to sulaija, that a strange man called him to inform him about an accident that just took place involving his sister and she is dead on her way to jos.

I went there saw the accident scene and she is the only fatality recorded. I examine her body in the morgue and behold she sustained injuries that almost fit the descriptions of the ones in my dads dream. After transporting the corpse back home, her son told me that it wasn't her idea to travel that day, that her freind convinced her to go with her, claiming that there is high demand of pepper in the market.

Funny enough, I took the second the last pix myself. Never knew you are going to die soon, you are one in a million. I remembered convincing you to upload them on your facebook, which you did.

On that day, I also commented on your bursty chest and you laugh and shrug it away. Cas, I shall forever remember YOU. RIP

The Bura are largely christians group of Borno, particularyly in the Biu area. Dude, I did not only stayed in the north, I spoke Hausa language to the boot and even got a credit at GCE level. Surely, you should know Hausa is among the most difficult language to pass at GCE level?. So, I know exactly how things work down there. That said.

The Tivs from benue are known to have a playerful relationship with the fulanis. . .but, how does that save them from the dagger of fulani nomads at regurly interval without any provocations? There should be clear cut and proper demarcation between fulani/hausa/berom/angas/tivi/mummuyes/gwari/kanuris/gerawa/jarawa/tangale/waja/seyawa. . .since, it amount to injustice for a berom man to hacked in revenge of a crime committed by kanuri, because they share thesame geographical locations.

I'd really enjoy reading your topic, As I often pity those still lumping together the north. Take this simple example, many people down south are quick to insult the hausas when there is attack by fulani nomads or boko haram and all that. The bottom line is, the hausas have suffered more attacks from the fulani namads than any ethnic group in nigeria, I recollect while growing up, how there was a yearly fracas between fulani nomads and farmers claiming hundreds of lives. The fulanis are very aggressive and could easily be discribed as one of the most backward tribe in the country.

Now, the boko haram menace is another angle in which the hausas were made the scape goats while forgetting that they have suffered more loses than any ethnic group. It is very common to hear people cursing hausas, whenever there is boko haram attacks, when some of us knows that boko haram is brain child of kanuris and there failed political ambitionist. Funny, the kanuris never regard the hausas as brothers while the fulanis always tag them as "kaadu" which means inferior person.
