Does this mean there's no german embasy in abuja? I have not come across any stories about anybody going for anything in abuja, its always that old germal lady in lag.. Anyways, I am hoping there is in abuja because that's closer to where I stay. Omo, to travle come lag cz of certification no make sense naw. |

Say I want to apply to seven schools through uni asist, I put seven copies of each of the documents.. Say.. 2 recomendation letters *7---14 Passport-------7 Statement of purpose-----7 4 pages of Transcript *7----28 Staement of result-----7 Toefl-----7 This is 70 copies already.. And all this will still cost the 8k+? 1 Like |

aflynvir: TO ME IT IS NOT NORMAL! My department in UI used to hand us our transcript after each session without applying until the HOD was changed to a Pharoah! That's why we Nigerians are comfortable with rubbish saying it's NORMALOh! That also I can use? I didn't know naw.. My believe was that that 1 is just for personal use, but if you want something official u have to apply for a stamped copy by registra, dean and coordinatior.. |

Well, the good thing is that you guys pointed out that in a 'normal' situation. Things don't happen in nigeria normally. We might be entitled to get it free but somehow we still pay 5k and wait weeks for it to be processed. I donno how they came up with the law but your transcript is mailed directly to the address you provide not given to you. This is the normal thing in nigeria schools and situation we deal with, its not like I made it all up. To us this is 'normal' so stop comparing us with advanced schools. |

Angel Diamond: In the uk your transcript and certifcate is given to you by hand free of charge and if you need for it to be posted to any university in the world, you are not required to pay a penny...UK and Nigeria are two very different places. With different system of operation. |

Angel Diamond: I would get one of the best lawyers in town and sue that school if i were you.....am sure i will make millions out of that case.... Am sorry...but if you really are not the type that likes to exercise your right, i would say maybe you could give the application for admission a try.....just apply to many schools as possible, you may get lucky..........i think you will........cheer up!!!Very bad idea.. Transcript is not suppose to to be given to him but mailed to the school directly. Might make people lose their jobs that have nothing to do with it. |

Go back to the school, do follow up, personally take the transcript to the people required to process it, and sort the secretaries or people that require some recharge card money. Just lobby.
