[s][/s]we northerners believe in buhari, any northern politician that'll contest against buhari will have his political career smashed. Ask shekarau what he saw after contesting against Buhari
The truth is as at today there is no politician alive in the north that can match PMB. And I do not expect it to change anytime soon. Out of everyone it is Modu Sherrif that the PDP wants to use to counter the APC in the north. That's a huge joke. Well what do you expect when it is buffoons like Fayose and touts like Wike that are now calling the shots in PDP. Good luck to them.

Most of those minions are not youths, some of the people typing rubbish here are all recipients of the DIRTY MONEY we are talking about.
Dirty government money that's being thrown around by PDP and their cohorts is the reason some fools thought the economy was growing, now that such cheap money is no longer flowing we see them coming online to wail.
You will see office that pays good salary for just doing nothing and sometimes I wonder how long can it last, but right at the bottom of it all is still this dirty government money we are talking about especially those fake contractors.
Don't mind them. It was just a false economic growth then. People had access to cheap stolen government funds then and could afford to spend recklessly because there was no accountability. Fortunately the price off oil was high then and could absorb the recklessness .The crash in oil price has brought us to reality. Besides the so called growth was mainly based on importation of almost everything . You cannot have real and sustainable growth if your economy is 90% based on income from one source and you do not diversify to other sources e.g. agricultural, manufacturing, tourism, mining etc. They should wake up and smell the coffee.

Why not show us the evidences of how APC financed their own campaign. Let Wike show us the transfer that were made from the state accounts. Let him publish the statements just the same way EFCC is confronting these accused with evidences of receipt/transfer of cash.
And they forget that millions of Nigerians actually contributed to the APC campaign which the PDP unsuccessfully tried to stop.

Fake/exploitative foreign investors don't take their money to places where there is no money; the new ones ignore such a location and the old ones pack their bags and leave. You don't need to be reminded that there is a severe scarcity of funds in Nigeria presently, do you?

Also, with the nation relying on only oil for foreign exchange, I'm sure you don't need an explanation as to why there is a scarcity of forex? When there is a scarcity of a commodity, I'm sure you understand based on the principle of demand and supply, the reason why the value of this commodity goes up?... Finally, with the sky-rocketing cost of obtaining forex especially in an import dependent nation, I'm sure you shouldn't need an explanation to know why the cost of goods and services would go up (inflation)?
Very simple explanation. But of course the agents of doom will rather blame Kemi for the current economic crisis.

Somebody should let this government and their supporters know that the job of the National Assembly is not to rubber stamp the President's budget but to scrutinize it, add or remove whatever they think should be added or removed. That is exactly what they have done. If the President is not satisfied with the budget as passed he should reject it as provided in the constitution. I do not support the idea of harassing, blackmailing and intimidation of the National Assembly by the Presidency,APC, the press and social media. This does not augur well or our democracy. The three arms of Government are independent though interdependent with the constitutional checks and balances. The Presidency,Nigerians and the press should give the legislature and judiciary a breathing space and allow them do their jobs. only then can we progress.
The NASS has no power to add or remove anything from a budget presented to it by the executive. They can only appropriate, that is they may allocate funds from one over funded sub head to another sub head that is discovered to be under funded. The problem is that the NASS has been indulging in this illegality over the years and has been getting away with it. It is time to do things differently.

I just cant understand how a christian girl, forcefully adopted, forced to change religion, forced to get married and start being a mother, could say with her own mouth that she is in love with those who molested her! Well, I can understand she is a child, and I can understand the level of hatred coming from her own people, but still I do not think that she should be in love with her molester.
This kind of situation is referred to in psychology as the Stockholm Syndrome and occurs when a hostage begins to sympathize with the hostage taker. Check Google for more info.

PDP should woo Obiano to join and give him a free ticket to run for anambra Governor in Anambra

PDP will definitely capture Edo and Imo, with this I think they are ready for 2019

Osita Chidoka for VP, young and sophisticated he will be very good candidate.

Shekarua being a former Governor of Kano will give Buhari a run for his money in the North West

I will favour shekarua/chidoka ticket for 2019!
Shekarau is no match for Buhari in the north. It will be a dead-on-arrival choice.

Sometimes you need to ignore the foolishness proceeding from some of those imbeciles who claim they are speaking for the SS/SE. Some of these guys lost their sanity since Jonathan lost the election. In order to justify their hatred and decision to reject APC/Buhari, they fervently pray everyday that no developmental projects should be done in the SE/SS. In their hearts, they would be very sad if the Buhari/APC whom they hate does more for the SE/SS zones in terms of infrastructural development than the one they call their hero; more than once, I have read comments like "Buhari should take his projects to the north and SW, 'WE' don't need his railway."

These guys fervently pray for doom in the nation, they celebrate the current economic hardship and they rejoice at any hint of bad news. They have sold their minds and souls to the devil and have been rewarded with foolishness. Sometimes they really don't deserve a response.

Some people criticize just for the sake of doing so.

The government on her part, isn't helping either; the communications policy for government offices so far have been poor at best.

As though to say, 'let your assumptions guide you', the masses are left at the mercies of 'pressmen' and speculators. It's why almost anyone can churn out whatever nonsense that they can think of.

A competent communication framework would have helped avoid a whole lot![/qu. ote]Spot on. My thoughts exactly. The information arm of this administration needs to be overhauled. They are not communicating well with Nigerians and this has given room to charlatans to spew all sorts of rubbish that misinforms the average Nigerian who are mostly very poor at sifting and analysing information.

Politics / Re: Buhari Replies Shekarau, Accuses Ex-kano Governor Of Insulting Nigerians by carboblanko(m): 2:53pm On Apr 10, 2016
lawbabs:

Listen very carefully, you all that are complaining didn't vote for Buhari... So we understand that you are celebrating the hardship in the country because you all want to see Buhari fail. I voted and campaigned for Buhari but I didn't vote for a miracle worker. I told a friend in April 2015 that 2016 will be a year of famine in Nigeria - I knew things will be difficult. How did I know? I am an analyst. and I did a projection on 2016 since last year to advise my organization on positions to take this year. I will share the easiest that you can understand here.

I. The FOREX revenue for the govt this year is about 80 - 90% less than what it was under Jonathan (reasons- Jonathan had the highest crude oil windfall in the history of Nigeria - oil sold for as high as $124 per barrel and it was stable, secondly there was sustained increase in the crude output from Nigeria despite increased oil theft. fastward to today, as at last month, Oil was selling for $29 - $32, demand for our oil has reduced, therefore our crude sale (output) has tremendously decreased for these reasons: 1. there are improved technologies all over the world to refine less quality and cheaper oil than Nigerian light crude. 2. the introduction of shale oil, 3. the lifting of ban on iran trade, 4. the discovery of oil in number of other countries, etc. It is for this same reason that dollar has risen significantly against the naira because, we do not enough dollar inflow from our export (which is largely crude oil) to finance our heavy imports.

II. the policy structure of this government (yet to assume office then) is to implement structure that will be more sustaining than the fire-brigade approach, we have been adopting since 1999. The fire brigade approach led OBJ to make billionaires in the oil and gas downstream sector (tank farm owners and independent marketers). These same people grew out of hand during Jonathan regime and stole our subsidy funds significantly. I knew it was only logical for this govt to re-visit the issue of subsidy regime and possibly change the way things were done. This was meant to bring some temporary pain.

I told him (my friend) many other things to expect, which I wont share here. Last week, he called me and said am I prophet of doom? How come I saw all of these coming? But I told him the reason there is agitation in Nigeria is because of the level of knowledge in Nigeria. If Nigeria must be liberated, our educational sector must receive the biggest allocation and our educational policies have to change. Because even the people that went to school in this country cannot even sieve information in order to pick the truth and reality. They constantly feed on junk told them by wicked politicians and diversionary elements.

Even our journalist don't understand how to fetch facts and throw away the junks. I read so many junks on the pages of newspapers today. So I am not surprise at your own bitteness against this govt.

The problem with many of you is that you were born when corrupt people ruled with no fear of God. You grew to believe it is a way of life because you were able to still move around and do your business. It is only in a time like this, when there is no much in the coffers of govt that the result of not demanding accountability in the time of abundance begins to show. The politicians know these, and that's why they keep using you as thugs, giving you temporary solutions instead of permanent ones. Only in Nigeria will someone see crime going on and do nothing about it because it doesn't affect him yet. By the time the entire neighbourhood (this time Nigeria) is brought to his kneel, they begin to remember the good old days forgetting that things started getting messy in the good old days but they never complained.

I hope that when the result of the president's effort begin to yield value, you and your co-travelers will bury your head in shame waters...
I wish I could give you 1k likes. Good to know that we still have a couple of rational folks out there. One of the problems we have now is that we have a lot of so called educated people that cannot even reason analytically. I also foresaw the economic downturn and warned that we should all brace up. All the signs were there to see. Even Ngozi Iwela warned us but many of us choose to remain in ignorant bliss. Now that it had happened we are blaming the present govt. Are they going to magically make the price of Crude raise? The only solution for now is to block leakages and diversify the economy so that we can earn from other streams of income and this cannot just happen in one year. I know there is a lot of hardship now but we should just be patient and endure this temporary pains as things will surely get better. Go and find out from countries like China, Japan, U.S. etc what they went through before they got to where they are today.

PDP next Presidential candidate = Hausa

Yet they will always have the guts to call Yoruba who has served as President and Vice-President as slaves to Hausas: when will Ibo be presented as President in Nigeria? Or are they slaves to Hausas too? tongue tongue tongue

I think it is high time Ibos go back to APGA party if PDP cannot provide a level playing ground for them. Oh sorry! money is involved: I have forgotten that this set of people won't mind exchanging their birth-right for a plate of porridge

Lalastical come and see oooo: Hausa don locked them out of convention ground oooooo, while Fulanis are harassing them on their own land with kidnapping, whereas the futile chest-beating that cannot save Nnamdi Kanu from Kuje Prison continues as usual tongue tongue tongue tongue
I expected the South East to build APGA into a formidable party and position it to the point where it could be used as a political bargaining chip. But due to shortsightedness they scuttled that and blindly gave all the support to the PDP. They did not even vote for Ojukwu when he contested. They are now reaping the results of that political shortsightedness.
