Try and get some evidence if you can. This will give you the edge when you want to report the issue.

Nice and Informative....One of the problems with infrequently updating your resume is that you forget about skills and accomplishments.

You may have received a new certification five years ago, but now you don’t even think about it anymore.

Updating your resume regularly ensures that critical information like this isn’t forgotten.
Exactly, thank you for this wonderful contribution

Quick Question, can someone like me who is fresh out of college write my c.v without having served or even gotten my certificate yet? Anyone knows?

In other news, do you need a natural permanent hair removal solution? Have you heard about thanaka powder and kusumba oil? Google and read more about both of them and send an email to kinibd@yahoo.com if interested in purchasing. Thanks.
Yes , you can..It is best you start writing your CV from the very moment you graduate

I usually don't do this, but right now I am so angry I want to resign.

I started working here almost 2 years ago, and sincerely at a point, I wanted to resign because my boss was very difficult, I never did anything right in his sight.

Fast forward a year later,

due to the nature of my job, I spend most of my office hours with him, and now my very stupid boss is sexually harassing me, it started with just holding my hands but right now it has gotten to him trying to move his hands close to my private part! I am not exaggerating here!.. I have been acting really matured and trying to act professional but this afternoon was the height of it, he told me 'why are you acting like a virgin sef', I almost slapped him

Please I need advice on this, how do I handle work place harassment please, without it leading to court and all that. I have gotten angry, I have told him I am not comfortable with it, but he still continues, trying to push his luck the next time..

Anybody that have experienced such situation should let me know how they overcame it without destroying the business relationship you've worked so hard for.

Pardon my creation of a new Moniker, I have advertised a position here and I will not want the name of the company searched and displayed.
I feel your pain and what you are going through. . If your boss is harassing you, please endeavor that you document it(if possible, get concrete evidence like voice recording etc) then report the scenario to hr department immediately. .They are specialized in handling such issues. .

If you have the cash with enough hard evidence, then you can file a lawsuit. ..Please endeavor that the HR department and if possible the senior management are aware. .
Once again I am so sorry for what you're facing and I won't mind knowing how everything ended, because that's what I do, I give career advice. .So please update me with the advances, I am willing to assist you career wise in a little way I can.

Feel free to check out my career blog www.careercrew..com at your spare time for more career tips and advice. .I hope to hear from you soon
CareerRe: My Boss Asked Me To Go Back To School. Before I Slip Into Depression, Help Me. by careercrew1: 9:42pm On Jun 27, 2016
fragilebeing:
Summary: I got to know about a consulting firm here in Lagos and without second thought, I decided to start doing freelancing with them, reason being that it will be a great opportunity for me to put into use what I learnt in school. The freelancing agreement was not without a baggage that I will get absorbed into the system once there is any chance.

Fast forward, recently, the company underwent some expansion and restructuring and I was properly interviewed for a position that fits my ability and profile. While at this, I was rated by the other higher personnel to be very okay in terms of performance as I not only deliver on time, but also assist in fixing some office computer systems that had software problems which was not part of the job prescription anyway.

Problem: It all started when we asked to do presentation on some topics. In my case, I concentrated on identifying problems and suggesting possible solutions to them, surprisingly, the feedback I got was that I wasn't right. I immediately asked for another time to re-present it and my request was granted. Now, even before the time for presentation, I did a pre-presentation to all my colleagues and they say that it was ok, but surprisingly when they were asked to air their views on my performance after the presentation proper and I was given 70/100%, only one of them gave a positive comment, the rest said almost negative stuffs concerning my performance.

The climax was when the Boss asked me to go back to school as I don't know anything.

These got much better part of me and the thought of coming to work is no longer appealing.
I can't even think straight anymore...
Staying amidst of people is no longer fascinating let alone being among colleagues in the office.
I feel like it would have been better if I never existed in the first place.

Some of them laughing to my face consistently is bullying the crap out of me.

Please how can I overcome this?

Please don't mind my punctuation... I can't think straight right now.
I feel your pain and know what you are going through. .I have a blog that is based on career development and advice. ..Am currently writing an article similar to your issue..
Permit me to ask, what is your relationship with you and your colleagues? Do you have a good relationship with your boss? Have you ever sensed any sign of envy or jealousy towards you from your colleagues?
Answer these questions so that we can go through this situation together.. .I am willing to help. .

To be candid, let me be open here
I work with WINNERS and our resumption time is before 6am.
It had gotten so "wonderful" that I visit my family (wife and kid" once every 15days even though we are both in Ibadan
even if there are some "free time" during work-hours, I can't just be darting here and there
I had seriously evaluated mine and I am seriously looking for means to "ball - out"
I am glad that you are honest with your current situation. ...It is good that you have evaluated your career and decided to quit. .. Most marriages of today are crashing on daily basis because several husbands /wives don't balance their work/personal lives hence their work overshadows the love they should have been sharing with their families during their personal time..
Please draft a schedule and plan your personal life to balance with your current job as I instructed until you get a better offer or start your own business..All the best

What if you resume at your workplace 6am nkohuh

What of someone like me that work from Sunday to Sunday (Sunday to Friday) 6am - 7/8pm, (Saturday) 6am - 2/3pmhuh

In other words, working 89-93 hours/weekhuh
In this situation you find yourself in shows that you need to have to evaluate your career first as it is obvious you are working in an organization that doesn't give room for career growth and development. .. I have written an article already on how you can evaluate your career. . Read here : http://careercrew..com.ng/2016/06/how-to-evaluate-your-career.html?m=1

After evaluating your career first then try to schedule your personal life. Draft out the important things you want to do after work, map out the irrelevant things you see yourself doing after work and reduce them.. Try to schedule things you want to do and spread it within a week or 2..For example, lets say you want to visit your grand mum, go clubbing, hang out with friends, and go out on a date with your bae...You can spread these activities in a week or 2...I hope this helps

Jobs/VacanciesWays You Can Balance Your Work Life And Personal Life by careercrew1(op): 8:11am On Jun 24, 2016
Balancing work with your personal life can be a difficult task especially as you are expected to meet daily targets, attend meetings, work extra hours etc at your place of work.

A lot of people end up being stressed out or worked up due to the numerous challenges they face balancing their work with their personal life especially when they are parents.

When you find it difficult to balance your work and personal life, it tends to make you less productive and likely to be stressed out.

If you find yourself in this predicament then I advise that you read this article to help you create a balance between your work life and personal life.

Try to manage your Time:

You have to know how to manage your time effectively to enable you strike a balance between work life and personal life.

Try to study and find out how you spend your time, especially if you spend so much time on unnecessary things and things with low priorities after work, then replace them with vital things (E.g. going out on family outings or spending time to do homework with your kids) that add value to your personal life by drafting a personal schedule which will guide you appropriately on how to spend your personal time after work.

Ensure that you discipline yourself by concentrating on crucial aspects that are very important to you and spend them appropriately so as to reduce stress and reduce the risk of being burned out.

Focus on one aspect at a time:

It is advisable that you should focus on one aspect at a time to create a balance.

When you come to work, focus on your job role and when you are at home spending your personal time, focus on it. Try not to mix up doing your office duties at home when you are supposed to spend your personal time and vice visa.

Ensure that you complete your task given to you in the office as possible to allow you spend adequate personal time effectively.

A lot of people find it difficult doing this hence when they are supposed to spend quality time with their wife and kids or even going out on a date, they end up carrying work home thereby neglecting family or personal time.

Ensure you relax:

Relaxing is key in helping you remain healthy and striking a balance between work and personal life.

There are times you completed your task before deadline or you are less busy at work, try to use such opportunity to relax, chat with fellow colleagues or anything that gives you joy while in the office.

This is needed to reduce work related stress and boost your health.

Schedule your personal time:

It is of little or no use when you don’t properly schedule your personal time. If you lump all your personal activities and outings at once, let’s say you pack all your personal activities in one day, you will find out that you are likely to end up more stressed than you originally were when at work. So try to space your personal activities by getting a schedule that clearly space out and define how you spend your time.

Exercise regularly:

Exercising regularly, eating healthy/ balanced meals and sleeping adequately increases your chances of achieving the balance between work life and personal life. Exercising reduces stress, makes your body refreshed and healthy with a good feeling. So focus on it and try to map out time to exercise regularly.

Overall, remember it is your life and it needs to be attended to, so ensure that you give your personal time utmost respect and follow it diligently to enable you strike the balance between work life and personal life, with the exception of cases of emergency
