If your harassment is from HRM nkor?
If the harassment is from a staff of hr then you can report him to the HR manager, if the harassment is from the HR manager, then report to the management of HR as there are laid down policies to protect staff from sexual harassment.. You can still report the HR manager to the senior management too.

Most often that not, it is ogas at the top who feel they are untouchable that sexually harass their staffs.... So in a case where the person one could have reported to is the same person carrying out the act, what can be done?
Once you have concrete evidence against your boss, you can report the issue to HR, senior management or take a legal suit and sue for damages.

Not really. Most people don't know what is sexual harassment. .I witnessed one yesterday at my office (a multinational coy) and warned the guy to stop harassing the female colleague sexually. He was like, "I have not inserted into her na"..A lot of people think sexual harassment starts when you have had Sex with the victim.

I usually don't do this, but right now I am so angry I want to resign.

I started working here almost 2 years ago, and sincerely at a point, I wanted to resign because my boss was very difficult, I never did anything right in his sight.

Fast forward a year later,

due to the nature of my job, I spend most of my office hours with him, and now my very stupid boss is sexually harassing me, it started with just holding my hands but right now it has gotten to him trying to move his hands close to my private part! I am not exaggerating here!.. I have been acting really matured and trying to act professional but this afternoon was the height of it, he told me 'why are you acting like a virgin sef', I almost slapped him

Please I need advice on this, how do I handle work place harassment please, without it leading to court and all that. I have gotten angry, I have told him I am not comfortable with it, but he still continues, trying to push his luck the next time..

Anybody that have experienced such situation should let me know how they overcame it without destroying the business relationship you've worked so hard for.

Pardon my creation of a new Moniker, I have advertised a position here and I will not want the name of the company searched and displayed.

InvestmentRe: Ways You Can Invest Your Salary And Income by careercrew1(op):
Triplee2:
you can also invest in FGN Bonds.
An introduction to FGN Bonds

About FGN Bonds

FGN Bonds are debt securities (liabilities) of the Federal Government of Nigeria issued under the authority of DMO and listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The FGN has an obligation to pay the bondholder the principal and agreed interest as they fall due.

FGN Bonds
When you buy FGN bonds you are lending to the federal government for a specified period of time. The FGN bond is considered as the safest of all investments in domestic currency securities market because it is backed by the ‘full faith and credit’ of the government. They have no default risk, meaning that it is virtually certain your interest and principal will be paid as and when due. The income you earn is exempt from state and local taxes.

The Government Issues Bonds for the following reasons

To finance government deficits in a non-inflationary and sustainable manner
To enhance fiscal discipline and for the management of monetary policies
To restructure the existing debt stock of short term debt to longer term obligations
To establish a benchmark yield curve, which acts as a reference for pricing other bonds issued by other bodies
To develop the domestic bond market on a sustainable basis
To enhance and deepen the savings and investment opportunities
Special Purpose FGN Bond
Special Purpose FGN bonds are bonds issued to meet specific needs of the federal government. For instance, following the approval of Mr. President, special purpose bonds were issued to selected banks for settlement of N75 billion pension arrears in 2006. Five deposit money banks participated in the private placement arrangement. In addition, in 2006 FGN floated bonds for the payment of debt owed to local contractors worth N91.7 billion. Recently, FGN indicated interest to raise funds through bonds for funding specific projects such as Methanol plant, revival of textile industry, terminal wages of workers, building of infrastructural facilities, etc.

CareerWays To Deal With Sexual Harassment At Work by careercrew1(op): 4:19pm On Jul 04, 2016
Hello everyone, in response to the thread on sexual harassment being experienced by a nairalander via https://www.nairaland.com/3191818/how-handle-work-place-sexual#46991541 I have written an article that will educate most people (especially Ladies) on what to do whenever they are being sexually harassed in the office.
Sexual harassment at various places of work is no longer news as we have heard of several cases were either the male or female worker must have been sexually harassed either by their boss or a colleague in the office.

It is also known that women usually experience such sexual harassment and advances more than the men.

I am writing on this article due to the fact that there are numerous victims of sexual harassment at their place of work and don’t know what to do to resolve the issue.

So what is sexual harassment?

Sexual harassment is an unwanted and undesired sexual approach for sexual service which makes the affected person to feel intimidated, hurt or disgruntled. Sexual harassment is very harmful as it makes the victim to be unable to carry out his or her duties effectively.

Sexual harassment are being carried out in different ways (either verbally or physically) through unwarranted kissing/ touching, sexual demands, lewd and vulgar interaction, sexual assault etc.

So what can be done when sexually harassed at work?

Well, we shall discuss in this article some few steps to take in other to empower you on how to deal with any form of sexual harassment.

Talk to the person about your displeasure:

Immediately you sense any sexual inconvenience while carrying out your official duty with either your colleague or boss, it is best you inform such person to stop immediately. Let your harasser know that you feel uncomfortable with their advances or behavior and if he or she continues to harass you, threaten to file a report either to the HR department or any legal body. Also ensure that you keep your distance and avoid being alone with such an individual.

Remember, when you keep quiet, your harasser believes that you have approved their sexual desires and therefore sees it as an opportunity to continue to carry out his/her sexual advances.

Have proof or an evidence:

After telling your harasser about your displeasure of his behavior towards you and yet still makes sexual advances, then it is sensible that you collect enough evidence to back you up when you finally report him/her. Ensure that you get substantial details like the date/time the harassment occurred, comments, remarks etc. It is even better if you get the incidence either on audio recording or video recordings.

There are numerous spy audio wristwatches, video glasses or voice recording devices that you can use to his comments or video his sexual advances.

Find and interact with other victims:

Finding other victims that were sexually harassed by the same individual will go a long way when you give your report as they will stand as a witness to your claim. Also, other victims who had past experience can guide you and put you through the process they use in filing a complaint towards their harasser in the past.

Inform the HR Management:

When the issue is getting out of hand especially as the harasser did not stop his sexual harassment towards you, it is advisable to quickly contact the Human Resources Management in your company. The function of the human resources management in this situation is to inform, guide and give you expert knowledge on the necessary steps and actions needed to be taken as regard the sexual harassment being experienced.

Please endeavor to present all necessary documents and evidence when filing your complaints to the HR department while keeping an extra copy for yourself.

Take the issue to court and file a law suit:

Should you desire to seek a legal resolution to the sexual harassment, it is advisable that you get a lawyer that is sound in sexual harassment related cases. You can decide to take the issue of sexual harassment to court and file a lawsuit. You can file a lawsuit should in case your employer or boss fired you because of the event or should you wish to seek financial damages.

Overall, resigning from your place of work should be the last resort after every option proved abortive and make sure that you have secured another job before your resign. Also, it is advisable for companies to have a written policy that clearly states what action is to be taken in case of any sexual harassment and measures to stop it

Blogging in Nigeria is now something else. Many of our bloggers parading themselves as Entertainment Bloggers are nothing but soft porn bloggers and liars. Many of the so called successful bloggers on facebook are not worth emulation and celebrating. That is why when I saw that guy called Donvin celebrating a new car, I'm just shaking my head. Those guys should never be celebrated. They are one of the problems we have in our society today (including in the blogosphere -as Adsense now raise a brow for Nigerians)

Look at this guy who own gistmelove. The guy will come to nairaland to claim a Professional Entertainmemt Blogger. But on facebook, they create secret pages where they carry out their misdoings.

Here is one of his porn posts http://www..ng/2015/10/new-leak-video-naija-ashwo-servicing_26.html?m=0

Here is another post where he lied that Actor Odunade Adekola is dead to get traffic, and then claimed he was watching a movie http://www..ng/2015/10/odunlade-adekola-famous-nigerian-actor.html?m=0

Bottom line is. Many of this new set of bloggers are lazy dudes. What they do is phish facebook accounts, use them to create facebook groups, post nonsense, and trick visitors to click their Adsense. And they too will come out to claim 'I'm a blogger'

Nonsense!!!
The issue is not with the blogger but with the people who view blogs that add no relevance to their lives.. I have a career blog but how many Nigerians are Interested in career development? Most people prefer to view blogs that have headlines such as Linda ikeji shows private part in pictures or wizkid smokes Igbo in public, compared to headlines that deals with evaluating your career etc.. .Most of my followers on twitter (check my profile for my twitter handle) are foreigners because they love to improve themselves meanwhile blacks and Nigerians prefer gossip news, nothing more..

Well my career blog is www.careercrew..com

Please feel free to comment and rate the blog. .Criticism and backlash is allowed. Thank you

3. The search box widget is not showing on the browser am using here (how about you use a 3rd party searchbox)
Thats all for now. Am not feeling so well and might not be able to check other things
Thanks..i wanted to use pictures but I was told that if I use pictures that weren't mine, I might not qualify for Adsense.. Please what do you advice I do.

CareerRe: 5 Ways LinkedIn Can Help you Achieve Success in your career. by careercrew1: 8:49pm On Jun 29, 2016
optimusmind:
I was excited yesterday when I saw the CFO of Vodacom Oluseyi Olarenwaju sent me a message on LinkedIn commending my profile.
Well, for obvious reasons a lot of companies are going to LinkedIn for their recruitment. LinkedIn has the widest gathering of experienced personnel in the world. No wonder it is called the social network with a collar. I know what you are thinking. This is a social network for old people. But you are wrong. Having a LinkedIn profile gives you the opportunity to showcase yourself to the world. And virtually the top executives of most companies are there. Don't take my word for it, Google any of them and see what comes up first. (LinkedIn of course)

So my question today to all undergraduate, graduate and workers looking for a change: why haven't you taken this opportunity to define what comes up when your name is searched for?
Today, LinkedIn recommended a Job that fits exactly what I am studying, surely if I was a graduate I would have as quickly applied.

Enough is said about what LinkedIn can make of your career. Here are five obvious reasons you should set up your LinkedIn account today.

1.Professional Presentation
If you are pursuing a career in any field, forget facebook and focus on LinkedIn. Your profile is like a Resume or CV and anyone in the world can see your qualifications and call you up. Even if you have a job, having a killer LinkedIn profile can increase your chance at success in case you want a change.

2. Professional Networking
I am just an undergraduate. But through LinkedIn I was able to make contact with the CFO of Vodacom and also the Head of a unit at one of the big four. Why am I telling you this? Just so you can see that the social network gives you the opportunity to build a professional netwok of quality people from around the world. You can also use this platform to connect with others in your industry. Who knows, there might be a better position elsewhere. Even entrepreneurs can use this to meet with others in their industry and learn more. It is said your netwok determines your network.

3. Access to information on job opportunities
Once you set up your profile, LinkedIn starts matching your skills to positions advertised. This is done automatically and you get notified about it. Imagine how helpful this can be when searching for a job.

4.An opportunity to sell yourself without stress
I noticed that sometimes, there is alot we want to express on our CV but in a bid to conserve paper and not make the CV bulky, we omit them. I noticed this when I applied for an internship position at KPMG(I got in by the way). A simple link to my LinkedIn profile on my CV was really helpful in selling my self to them. With LinkedIn you can write as much as you want and state all your experiences in details. And the platform presents it so professionally for you that it doesn't look to bulky.

5.Easier Recruitment.
This goes to business owners and entrepreneurs. You can make use of the platform for your recruitment and get more qualified and experienced personnel.

LinkedIn.com is the website go on and register if you haven't already. Be sure to Google Tips on how to setup your profile properly. I would in a later post write about that as well.

Meanwhile, check out my profile and tell me what you think https://ng.linkedin.com/in/joseph-onyemakonor-3423101
