Career › Building A Career In Social Media by careercrew1(op): 9:01am On Jul 28, 2016*. Modified: 10:34am On Jul 28, 2016 |
Social media is fast becoming a powerful tool which is widely used to market one’s skills, business, product or service while connecting and engaging with various people via the internet.
To cut the long story short, social media can also be very useful when searching for a job as it is observed that of recent, lot of companies and organizations are throwing in available social media positions for immediate employment.
So what is social media?
Social media is a digital / computerized tool or application that allows people, group of individuals, businesses or organizations interact, communicate and exchange information via the internet. There are several social media networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp etc. which can be used to promote your skills or market what you have to offer to your target audience.
In order for you to build a successful career from social media you have to understand and know how to effectively use the various social media tools available today as earlier mentioned in the last paragraph. In general, you have to be passionate about interacting with people online, you have to be creative and innovative while staying informed with the latest trends and news.
So what does it mean to build a career in social media?
One great thing about building a career in social media is that there are various social media jobs available. You can be a social media analyst, social media marketer and social media manager. Okay, let’s briefly talk about some aspect of social media.
Social Media Analyst:
Who is a social media analyst?
A social media analyst is responsible for the key execution of social media strategies. He/ she is responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of social media results which is carried out daily. So, for one to be a professional social media analyst, one needs to know the type of data to follow and understand how to track the metrics in order to get a desired result.
A social media analyst is also required to have in-depth knowledge in communication, marketing, driving sales, strategically planning/tracking campaigns and drafting return on investment to achieve business objectives.
And since we all know that social media does not sleep, the social media analyst is required to report to the social media manager thereby giving a breakdown of campaigns carried out, status of social media accounts, statistics showing number of followers, comments and traffic, giving report of analytic trends etc.
Social Media Marketer:
Who is a social media Marketer?
A social media marketer is one who uses available social networking sites as a marketing tool to promote an individual or organization’s products and services. Since social media is a platform that grants users with internet connection easy access, the social media marketer find it easy to carry out marketing campaigns, thereby creating brand awareness and improving customer relationship through constant interaction with customers.
A social media marketer should be able to focus on his/her target audience, their needs and how to add value to customer’s lives with the advertised product brand. A social media marketer should have a good knowledge on available social media platforms and should have a sound online marketing strategy which will aid in promoting and building the individual/ organization brand.
A major factor to be consider as a social media marketer is that you have to be available most time. You don’t just post content on social media and then go into hiding rather you have to interact and communicate with your customers and followers after you have published a content on the social media platform.
Social media Manager:
Who is a social media Manager?
A social media manager is someone who has the mastery to grow social media presence online. A social media manager is highly passionate for connecting with current and prospective customers online. The major job role of a social media manager is to create, innovate and broadcast relevant/ original content, implement marketing campaigns while promoting content via social media advertisement. This job role is somehow similar to that of social media marketer but there are still variations between both job roles.
A social media manager should be able to listen, communicate and engage with its customers, while creating useful content for target customers, conducting online surveys, mapping out effective marketing strategies, monitor trends on various social media platforms, creating and promoting social media campaigns.
To be effective in this role, the social media manager should have understanding of various social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp etc. He/she should have good writing skills, a team player, must have good customer relationship and be willing to render positive customer service and should be able to set objectives and realistic goals.
Overall, many companies, organizations or businesses have realized the importance of the various aspects of social media and how social media can not only promote sales but also build a positive brand image, hence they are willing to hire and pay good cash to savvy social media experts who are proficient in either of the aspect of social media www.careercrewblog.com/2016/07/building-career-in-social-media.html?m=0cc: seun Lalasticlala ishilove mynd44 |

Are you currently employed and having issues with your boss or employer’s angry mood? Does your boss yell at you and sometimes call you names in the mist of your colleagues? Does it look like whatever you do is never appreciated? Bosses can be moody, one minute they are cheerful, the other minute they are erupting like a volcano and you can’t precisely tell the cause of his/her anger.
Well, this article will address this how to cope with an angry boss in your place of work, so sit down and read through.
Don’t blame yourself: When your boss suddenly shouts at you or gets angry easily with whatever task you have done, don’t assume that he/she is mad at you. Your boss is human, just like you and definitely have his/her shortcomings. He might be having some personal issues at home, which is not being managed properly, thereby letting the issue impact his/her mood and performance in the office. Don’t let it work you up, be positive and remain calm.
Avoid getting angry too: Let’s imagine, work is going on smoothly and all of a sudden, your boss starts complaining about how you all aren’t meeting your set targets, how goals are not achieved, how you all are nonchalant and not productive. Yes, we have seen this scenario a lot of times, don’t let it weigh you or other team members down and don’t get angry and worked up too, rather try to be dynamic and motivate other team members to be calm and positive in their mindset. Remember, when your boss is down and the whole team is down, then your boss will eventually be justified in his claims that you all are not productive.
You can try to address the issue with your boss: Here, effective communication between you and your boss matters. Business › Attitudes That Can Improve Your Future As An Entrepreneur by careercrew1(op): 8:22pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
To effectively and successfully develop yourself as an entrepreneur you have to be prepared to improve on some of your attitudes and habits which in turn can boost your chances of having a successful business. In this article, we shall discuss various attitudes and habits that can make your business grow and make you a successful entrepreneur.
Plan how you spend your money/profit:
Making money is the easy part but planning how to spend ones money, income or profit has proven to be the difficult part as many young entrepreneurs do not or are unable to plan how they spend the money got from their business effectively, hence, at the end of the month, they find it difficult to recall how the money was spent. It is advisable to map out ways on how to spend your money/profit received from your business so that you don’t spend all right away.
Wake up and start your Business early:
Most successful entrepreneurs are always the first to open for business and with growing daily competition, it is advisable to open your business early and on time as customers will know that you are serious minded and ready for business, therefore will be willing to patronize you regularly. So stop dozing and stretching on your bed but get up on time for business and earn some extra cash.
Save your Income regularly:
No matter how little you earn or make in your business, it is always advisable to save extra cash to ensure the smooth running and survival of the business. Don’t think of saving when you have made big money but start saving the little you have today. It is advisable to open a separate account for your business which is different from your personal savings account. This helps you to plan and distinguish what money is for your personal use and what is meant for the business.
Don’t spend more than you have earned:
A lot of businesses that crumble are guilty of spending more than they earned. For example, if you earned let’s say N100,000 from your business, don’t spend all at once to the extent of buying goods on credit because when the time comes to pay back and you don’t have the money or resources to pay, then that is the beginning of the end of that business. So if you are going to buy more consumer goods for your business, make sure you have a financial budget that will enable you plan how you spend your income effectively. Don’t spend more than your earn or generate, reduce borrowing so that your business won’t be affected negatively.
Have a positive attitude and stop complaining:
When running a business, you have to be positive-minded, focused and stop the complaints to enable you grow and become a successful entrepreneur. Remember that for every problem, there is a solution, so instead of blaming the government for bad business policies all the time, endeavor to find the appropriate solution to keep your business alive, running and successful.
Ensure you dress properly:
As an entrepreneur, when you start running your business, be informed that your dressing matters a lot. Don’t get me wrong, am not saying that you should wear a very expensive suit, dress or shirt every day before you carry on with your business but rather try to ensure that your dressing is presentable and nice to the eyes. People tend to avoid businesses where the owner dresses in a not so pleasant manner but are willing to patronize someone else who dresses and appears well.
Remember, dressing good is good for business because you will be addressed by the way you dress. So, if you haven’t be dressing properly as an entrepreneur, better you start doing so today http://careercrew..com.ng/2016/07/attitudes-that-can-improve-your-future.html?m=1 |

jammani: There are cases of certificates getting burnt due to fire outbreak. Spoilt due to humidity or environmental condition. Etc. Please in what best method, way or form can credentials be preserved The best way to preserve your certificate is to laminate them especially WAEC, neco, B. SC etc.. Laminating them prevents it from moisture, stains and makes it presentable after several years..
