Thecannylady: Good morning good people. I work full time but I also do business as a side hustle. The business is not registered...how do I present this in my application? Do I need to mention my business? Seniors please help! Mention it in your personal history. State the years you've been doing the business and what the business is. It is very important to state it o. They can search and find references to this business and conclude that you're trying to hide it |

teeboi77: Good Morning All,i have two questions and will appreciate kind response(s)
1.We have a CRS of 444 but my wife who is the primary applicant is a C (6524) She works with a Shipping line since 2015,she was in customer service before but now Continuous improvement specialist. Can we still go ahead and enter EE pool with the CRS of 444 or what's our best option to relocate to Canada.
2. I have an Uncle in Alberta whose dad and my mum's dad are siblings, can he be regarded as my relative for immigration purpose.
looking forward to your kind response(s).
Regards, 1. You can enter the pool but you need to improve your scores. Things you can do: Max out your IELTS i.e. get at least 9 8 7 7 in LRWS. You can register for BCS or CIMA or for a masters/PGD to improve your scores. (Search Nairaland for these resources). You can also get a Provincial Nomination (Search Nairaland for PNP) 2. Your uncle cannot be regarded as family for EE |

Cjman685: An agent I met online Facebook" said he does Canada visa work permit 1.5m and its visa before payment. I told him I don't have sure amount for the visa, he said I should bring my passport and 4 passport photograph and a shorty of level 10 in federal civil service that they will help me get a visa when I reach I will pay them 2.5m. Just worried if it's real. Getting a Canadian work visa means you need to get a job in Canada. That is highly unlikely as very few higher level professionals are the only ones able to get it. What I think they want to get for you is a visitors visa and an illegal job. This means that you won't legally be working in Canada and when you get caught, you will be deported and banned for 10 years. This is a SCAM! Even the documents that they've asked you to bring show that they want to falsify documents on your behalf which will affect your travel history bady I suggest you read up on Express Entry process. Start with Page 1 of this thread and use your money to process Express Entry for yourself. |

Guest911: Hi I’m paying to a lecturer who currently works at the school. I think the second option is most likely the case. But I was told it was stamped and the school envelope bearing the school logo was actually used. My guess is that because the form I filled for request for certificate wasn’t part of the envelope could be the problem. But how do I get the form across to the school. I think you have to go to Cotonou yourself, pay for the transcript yourself and make sure they stamp it properly. It has nothing to do with the form. |

No gsk4reality: Congrats to all those who got ITAs and goodluck to all of us trying to get to that stage. I am about starting my WES Evaluation, I got this information on WES website
''In most cases if you have completed a minimum of one year full-time post-secondary academic study, you do not need to submit secondary school documents.''
Does this mean it is not compulsory to evaluate 0' level results?
Thanks |

kennedychinedu: Congrats. May your road continue to be smooth Amen. Please i saw you said Biometrics passed and biometrics done. My question: Just got BIL, is there any need to go for BIL and if yes where is their office. Someone told me the BIL is just them telling you that they have received all your documents. Please i am confused as they said only 30days BIL means you need to go for biometrics. Where you are will determine where you go for biometrics. They have offices in Lagos and Abuja. |

jayanne123: Congratulations! I hope we all get to sing the same song soon. Pls house, I have some issues bothering me. I'll be waiting for your response so I know the next step to take.
I was in a marriage that failed 6yrs ago and produced 2 kids, both staying with me. My passport has my maiden on it. 1)How do I show my work experience when my surname then was that of the ex? I have a newspaper publication showing change of name from my current name (maiden) to his own name. (Then, I just got married). I also have a court wedding certificate, I dont know if that helps. 2)My pension statements are also in my married name, how do I use this as proof of funds?
Thank you, awaiting your knowledgeable responses. Have you gotten change of name documents that show that you are back to your maiden name? Do you have documents such as divorce documents and other documents that show that you have full legal rights over your children? 1. Get the reference in your maiden name. They can put in a sentence like "Miss Okunuga (formerly Mrs. Adebowale) was hired as blah blah blah" 2. Tell the pensions people you want to change your name. Do your change of name documents and you will be fine to use it. The bigger question I have for you here is that IRCC will be concerned that you are illegally taking the children away from their father. So they need either the father's express permission or court documents saying that the father no longer has a right on his children or something like that, I may be wrong. Because you might end up having to do an interview and they are going to be so bring the father along to be sure he's okay with this. Look for Kubeir immigration on Facebook. He's an immigration lawyer that may be able to help. |

Thanks alot I will check page 1 to gather further information. Please can you help me with the exact links on the CIC immigration page or pages, ABEG!!!!!
In regard to payment, since it's a family business I don't have payment slips to tender. Is it possible to receive a one-off payment for my years of service?
What other ways can I use to prove the issue of payment slips apart from a bank statement or a cash certificate?
And in case you get more information abeg please share with me. To be honest, I don't know about the payment thing. It's very dicey. Try Candavisa.com ask the question on their forum. For the links, just google it. Whatever link you click must have canada.ca in it to ensure you're not clicking one of those funny immigration sites. |

sweetoma: Hello house, silent reader here . I currently have a tentative CRS score of 450 With the current CRS trend of 471 at this time. I decided to register for a masters but I will not complete it until Jan of 2021. With a masters my score will go up to 478/ 482 but with the current rise in CRS score I am afraid that by the time I enter the pool in 2021, 478 may no longer be a competitive score
What do you advise I do, do I abandon the masters and start looking at provincial nomination or what ? Also should I enter the pool now with my current score while waiting for the MSC ? Enter the pool and do Msc as well. All die na die. |

Guest911: Hello I’m considering withdrawing my Wes evaluation and requesting refunds as they have rejected my transcript twice saying it wasn’t sent from the school directly. They accepted the certificate which was part of the document in the envelope I’ve paid the school in Cotonou twice now to send it. Any advice on this? Thanks Are you paying directly to the school or paying someone to run it for you? Cos the person may be doing underG runs and not doing the right thing. If its the school sending it, 2 things may be happening so you need to go to the school to confront them. 1. Schools confirm transcripts at the point of verification I believe. This means they're the ones sending it to WES but when WES asks them to verify it, they say it's not them that sent the transcript. 2. The school is not stamping and signing it adequately in the WES approved way. |

Thank you very much i appreciate the reply. The business is authentic and running but with all honesty, I am just a registered part of the company as a social media director not working there in person, I have been performing duties from the disapora.
Secondly I have not been receiving salary seeing it is a family business and I have shares or stake in it, I have rather been investing in the business.
Please what can I do ? Also what is the cash certificate thing? Thanks ALOT Hmmmn 1. You need a reference document that includes your job description (see page 1 for more details on a job reference) and the document must state that your work is remote i.e. you've been doing it from diaspora. 2. Check the CIC page but I believe the work must be paid work. However I may be wrong so check the CIC immigration pages 3. See page 1 for more details on a cash certificate. |
