Unless you can prove you were a lecturer, I would say research NOC for teaching assistants and use that. Also be mindful of whatever is written on the reference letter. Ensure it matches the NOC you choose.

Shesbiodun:
Hello all. Please someone should come to my aid abeg!
It’s an NOC issue.

Actually I’m a pharmacist but I served in a college of health during NYSC and I want to claim points for it.

So basically I carried out the duties of a lecturer. Preparing course outlines, conducting and invigilation of exams, marking of tests, teaching students, supervision of projects and laboratory works etc

Now my actual question is this; Does NOC 4021 fit this job experience?

Please help. Thank you.

Hi guys,
Please a quick one.
My bank does not issue the bank reference letter in the format that IRCC is looking for. So I'm collecting a letter of non-indebtedness and a reference letter stating when I opened the account and that the account is well maintained. Do I need any other documents? Do I need a letter from the bank stating that they do not give the type of reference letter that IRCC wants or should I just explain it in my LOE? What do you think?

I had my period during my medicals as well. Asked the Doctor if it was an issue and even wanted to come back for another Urinalysis but they explained that it wasn't a problem at all. So I believe you have nothing to worry about

Good Evening people.
I've gotten my ITA and I'm putting together my documents for upload.

1. I have about 3 - 4 LOE's for different things (job, salary increase, POF etc). Should I upload each LOE with its accompanying documents or upload all LOE's in the optional upload space.

2. I put in 200k extra from my FBN to my access to complete the funds. Since the account bears my name, I'm thinking the VO would know I have an account with another bank so I'm considering adding a letter of non-indebtedness from that bank as well. Is that necessary?

3. For those who got a salary increase within the last 6 months, did you do an LOE for it? I attached my offer letter but I feel like I'm doing information overload.

4. My period started the day of medicals (don't ask) so there was small blood in my urine. The doctor and lab people noted it in my results and stated that its definitely the menstruation but it worries me. Did anyone have this experience? I'm so scared they will kick my application to Accra.

Thank you

I believe there's an IELTS thread and I think all IELTS related questions and clarifications should be made there. Also can @ladymarshall please help us include it as one of the sections on page 1. I would really help declutter this thread. There's so much info on IELTS that may be better discussed on that thread.

If WES has sent it, then it has gotten to UNILAG. My advise is for you to go to UNILAG and sit down there. Beg them to check their spam mail. Tell them you're not going until they do it for you. I went to UNILAG 3 times and the last time I just stood outside their door for 4 hours till they sent my verification. At this point I had missed like 5 Phd applications and was depressed. Just go and don't leave till they confirm they have sent it.
PreciousRuby:
I do not know how to continue.

WES says verification has been sent to my school - Unilag since 3 weeks ago but my contact there keeps saying it has not dropped.

What could be the issue? Who experienced and surpassed this hurdle?

No. You don't. PCC is for places and times where a person stayed over 6 months. Subsequent short visits don't count.
May I ask, did you get the PCC here in Nigeria? And how was it delivered? Mine is taking a lot of time.
onyexx:
Good evening guys...

Please can someone clarify this for me

I have gotten my husband’s PCC for UK. However he will be travelling there next month for just a week. Does this mean we have to do another PCC upon his return? Or it doesn’t matter since he isn’t staying up to 6 months...

Yes I have received an invitation to apply to a job on job bank. I reviewed the organization and decided to apply. I am yet to receive any reply from them though. Just make sure you do your background check. Google is always your friend.

thanks my brother, I'm very grateful.
please what is the process of the evaluation I.e. their sites or channel of doing such, and is she going to sit for their exams or what or just to send her degree?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by carissaa(f): 2:23am On Oct 05, 2019
Just wanted to make a note here that just because your wife has a masters in social work from Nigeria does not mean she will automatically be able to practice in Canada o. She still has to have her degrees evaluated by Canadian Association of Social Workers. That can take up to 6 months and cost about $400. It would be wise to do it alongside the EE processing. I would advise she takes that into consideration so she doesn't get to Canada and be stranded.
Fiestafetta:
Good evening, please I'm making this inquiry for my wife. she told me that one of her lecturers while she was doing her masters in UI is advising her to go to Canada where her profession as a HEALTH SOCIAL WORKER is more lucrative and desirable but she wanted to be sure before she proceed with the process. she has bsc sociology 2.1 and masters in social work with good cgpa. please what are her chances? which steps does she needs to take first?

Hi everyone,
I will be visiting the UK to attend a wedding and spend some time with my friends. I will be staying with a friend. What should she include in the letter of invitation? And what else should she attach apart from her passport and lease info? Also, do I need to have a payslip to apply? Or can I just put in my employment letter and attach my bank evidence showing I get paid monthly.

Hello all, submitted my application at Abuja on the 6th of September, priority application. No decision letter yet. Any body in similar situation as me? School has resumed on the 5th but registration must be completed on the 23rd of September, though I didn't state that in the application.
Should I be really worried?
Yes. Check your junk mail maybe it's there. If not, call the TLS or go there. I submitted on the 8th and I've gotten a decision.

Hi guys,
How will a person know if the visa was denied?
Is it when they go to pick up their documents?

Also, I went to VI VAC today and they said they are expecting some documents to arrive tonight or tomorrow morning. Can I go and check again tomorrow afternoon?

I dont want to postpone my flight for Wednesday morning.

Will it pose a problem at immigrations? I had to pay my school fees at 495 to a Pound. So it took a baseball bat to all my plans. I had to just buy one way.
Also, is thereany other thing I should be aware of at Immigration?
Also, people that flew the Maroc 6:30 flight, did you sleep at the airport overnight?
justwise:

That is not for UK student visa or any other UK visa in that matter.

Regarding the one way ticket thing... It's not a good idea only if you are absolutely sure that you are not coming back to your home country.

Hi guys,
So I was looking through a few documents and found this from Wakanow.

"First travelers are required, by immigrations, to have a return flight ticket, confirmed hotel/Accommodation and a minimum $ 1000 for personal travel allowance (PTA) or business travel allowance (BTA)"

I'm a first time traveler and I didn't buy a return ticket. I also won't have more than 500 pounds cash on me for safety purposes.
People who have traveled recently, is this true for the UK or only some countries. Also, Did anyone have any issues with immigration when they were leaving? I keep hearing a lot of gory stories.
Thanks
