Like I always point out, driving in Nigeria is not for the faint-hearted because one minute you can be driving, and the next minute you can be on the road having a shout fest with another road user. You should not be alien to this especially if you drive in Lagos, Nigeria. There’s also a popular saying amongst road users in Lagos state that goes, ‘when driving in Lagos State, assume everyone is mad except you.’ This goes to show you how funny driving in Nigeria can be. To curb the driving excesses the Government over the years have put traffic laws in place to protect its citizens and ensure a safer Nigeria. Driving in Nigeria can be stressful, but it can also be avoided. It does not have to be a tug of war all the time, and you don’t have to pay fines all the time to avoid getting penalized. So, how can you avoid breaking an traffic law in Nigeria? Don’t stop for security checks at dangerous zones: Nowadays, individuals imitate essentially all law authorization authorities and security parastatals. Military faculty in the military and the traffic authorities are not forgotten about. In this manner, you need to guarantee your well-being when you get pulled over. Just stop at a territory that is sufficiently bright and has a respectable measure of human traffic. In the event that you do this without seeming self-important or being inconsiderate, no traffic police will pick an issue with you attempting to guarantee your security. On the off chance that you judge the stretch of the street to be risky, demand that you ought to be taken to the closest office or police headquarters relying upon the official capturing you. In the event that the policemen are casually dressed or you have an inclination that something simply doesn’t click about them, request their ID. Don’t be distracted while driving: There are so many things to get you distracted while driving. I have seen people watching movies while driving, I have seen people eating while driving, receiving calls while driving, texting while driving and some even sleep while driving. It is understandable that we are humans, but when engaging in a high-risk activity, like driving it requires a 100% focus because any mistake can lead to a ghastly motor accident. Learn the traffic rules and regulations in Nigeria: There are registered and certified driving schools all around Nigeria, but do these schools teach students the traffic rules and regulations in Nigeria? It is one thing to know how to drive; it is another thing to understand road signs and traffic rules and regulations. Many people think that all there is to driving is learning how to drive or maneuver other cars but there is more. Traffic rules have been put in place by government officials to ensure that road users are 100% safe when using the road. It is important to learn and understand the traffic rules that exist in Nigeria and specifically in some states as understanding the rules helps you to avoid breaking traffic laws in Nigeria. Obey traffic rules and regulations in Nigeria: Apart from learning and understanding the traffic rules and regulations existent in Nigeria, it is important to always obey the rules. Disobeying the rules also has its own penalties and fines, and some rules attract a punishment of imprisonment. Obeying traffic rules and regulations at all times helps to reduce the number of road accidents that occur almost on a daily basis in Nigeria. Signs, traffic wardens, and traffic lights should be obeyed at every point. It is also important to stay calm while driving, as it is not a competition because at the end of the day you will still get to your destination. A lot of Nigerians always make driving competition and end up causing a ruckus on the road. Due to impatience, many Nigerians have lost their lives on the road because they were trying to overtake a truck or another vehicle. Always ensure your car is in a good shape: Before heading out to the road, always ensure your car is in a good condition because some traffic laws in Nigeria are tied to having a good and effective vehicle. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/how-to-avoid-breaking-a-traffic-law-in-nigeria/

Texting while driving is one of the most common causes of accidents in the world today. According to statistics conducted in 2011, it was recorded that the number of drivers using their phones while driving between 5-10 years has increased from 1% to 11%. Texting while driving is considered as a suicidal action because the victim was the one being careless. Since Mobile phones were introduced, the spate of road accidents had increased drastically. Car accidents that involve texting while driving are mostly associated with youths between the ages of 18-25 years. What are they texting about? Youths are always on social media trying to keep up with the real world even while driving. For older adults, they don’t experience problems with social media but they experience problems with receiving calls. While driving, it is always advised to be 100% focused on the road while driving, but many people like to think that they can be fast enough to read a text message, and even answer it without focusing on the road. Many people are aware of the dangers of texting while driving. They are aware that it can lead to a serious road accident, but are they aware that there are many more dangers of texting while driving apart from being involved in a road accident? Let’s find out the dangers of texting while driving. Risk of being involved in a road accident: It is obvious that being a victim of a road accident is inevitable when you are not fully focused while driving. For a road accident, two things can happen; – You may be the victim of the accident – An innocent bystander or pedestrian can be the victim instead. Many people all over the world lose their lives because they have allowed their mobile phones to control them while driving instead of the other way round. The possibility of getting into a fatal accident while texting and driving are higher than the other causes of road accidents. Being imprisoned or fined for breaking rules: ‘Do not text while driving’ is a common road law in every country of the world. Many countries in the world have rules and regulations that abhor its citizens from texting while driving because the government understands the danger involved in it. In different countries, there are several punishments instituted for persons who text while driving and they are caught. Endangering the lives of innocent pedestrians: Persons who text and drive expose not only themselves to accidents but they also endanger the lives of innocent bystanders or pedestrians who use the road on a daily basis. A pedestrian can be standing on his or her own and a distracted driver can hit the person. Exposing yourself to the statistics of persons who contribute to traffic accidents: Most road accidents are caused by road users who drive and text. In the cause of driving and texting, there is a very high possibility that the person may be involved in a car accident. There are already millions of persons, who die every day from road accidents, why contribute to the number when you can be careful. Damaging your car: If involved in a car accident, you have to incur all the expenses involved in getting the car fixed. These road accidents mostly can be avoided if people learn that there are dangers involved in texting while driving. And apart from incurring the costs, your insurance keeps doubling in amount and premium. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/what-are-the-dangers-of-texting-while-driving/

The 2021 R8 lineup consists of R8 V10 Performance Coupe and Spyder and R8 V10 RWD Coupe and Spyder models. The RWD versions get less power and come at a discount. The R8 RWD models use the same naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V-10 as the V10 Performance models, but here it’s tuned to make 532 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque instead of 603 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. With less grip and less power, Audi says the R8 RWD coupe will hit 60 mph from a stop in 3.6 seconds and the Spyder will do the deed in 3.7 seconds. The coupe will top out at 201 mph and the Spyder will hit 200 mph. The lesser performance is despite less weight due to the RWD models’ lack of all-wheel-drive components, including the prop shaft, front axles, multi-plate clutch, and front differential. After being unveiled for global markets, the RWD R8 V10 will on sale soon for the 2021 model Year which will both provide a more fun driving experience and a lower starting price for the everyday supercar. Pricing will start from 65.6 million naira ($142,700) for the R8 coupe and 71 million naira ($154,900) for the convertible. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/can-you-buy-this-2021-rwd-r8-v10-for-71-million-naira/

Introduction The answer is simple. For the rich, Mercedes-Benz gives efficiency and class and for the middle and low-class, Toyota gives quality in terms of efficiency and maintenance at a good or cheap price. Toyota is among the leading brands in the country, accounting for almost half of vehicles imported, and is very popular on Nigerian roads. Its bestselling models include the Hilux, Corolla, and Camry. Mercedes-Benz is the leading luxury brand in Nigeria and controls a large share of the automotive luxury market in the country. Its leading brands are the GLE, C, G, E class. Some Background With an expected populace of 193.3 million, the information recommends that the absolute number of Nigerians accessible to one vehicle is 16.75. Regarding vehicles per 1000 Nigerians, it comes to about 59.7. As indicated by the information delivered by the NBS a year ago, Nigeria has a sum of 11,547,236 engine vehicles in the nation, recording a 0.78% development from the 11,458,370 vehicle populace revealed in the primary quarter of 2017. This implies an aggregate of 88,886 vehicles were purchased between March 2017 and September 2017. Private vehicle information in the nation right now remains at around 4,656,725 or 40.33% of the vehicle populace. The information likewise uncovers that Nigeria has a sum of 6,749,461 business vehicles which is about 58.4% of complete vehicle populace in the nation. Why Toyota? Toyota is by far the most used and sold automotive brand in Nigeria in terms of quantity. Their Corolla model as well as the Camry model are by far the most noticeable cars on the road. According to a rough survey, 5 in every 10 cars is mostly a Toyota. The main reason for their success is relatively easy, affordability. Toyota cars are cheap. People often relate cheap to not long-lasting but with Toyota, it is a different story. Toyota cars are one of the most durable and drivable automotive in the country especially taking into cognisance the bad road conditions. Another area is maintenance and spares. Spares are easy to find since Toyota has partner firms in Nigeria and maintenance is not an issue because almost every mechanic or technician can without a doubt work on any Toyota model. In terms of fuel efficiency, the Toyota brand is number one. Why Mercedes-Benz? Mercedes-Benz has been able to create a great narrative around the people who uses their car. The narrative being that you are either very successful or very rich and therefore for the young man or lady who soon enters into the wealth class, Benz is most probably their car of choice. Another reason why people use and love Benz is that their role models or celebrities use different Benz model. Even the President and Vice-President use customized Mercedes-Benz cars. Artistes use different Mercedes-Benz in their videos to show off their wealth status or give a sense of success which by the way is free advertisement for the automobile company. The variety of their models are just amazing. Though their cars are labelled for the rich, Mercedes-Benz has cars for just about everybody. So if you just spare an additional million or so, you could see yourself in a Mercedes-Benz. As with Toyota, maintenance is not an issue, however, the parts might be a whole lot more expensive than Toyota’s. Their parts are available and you could easily find one or two authorised specialist technicians around your state. Another benefit of the Benz cars is their designs. They simply look exquisite. All their models and especially the top ones always make an impression. They literally turn heads. Mercedes-Benz and Toyota are by far the top cars in terms of balance. With the constant swerving and movement due to potholes, Benz and Toyota are definitely convenient and reliable for most drivers. Conclusion Both brands have maintained what they intended to sell to Nigerians; for Toyota, affordability and Mercedes-Benz, class and luxury. Both brands have good resale values. In terms of quantity, Toyota beats the Mercedes-Benz brand but in terms of value, the Mercedes-Benz could well be competing with Toyota for that. Their understanding of what brands work for the Nigerian community is what has made them loved in Nigeria. In recent years, some other brands are already competing with Mercedes-Benz for luxuries such as Lexus and even Honda, Nissan is competing with Toyota for their top spot in the low and middle-class family. There are many claims as to who the first person to drive the first car in Nigeria was and when it was driven. Some say that the first person was a woman Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, some say the first person was a man, but none of these claims are outrightly wrong. Notwithstanding, it is important to have a clear record of who the first person to drive a car in Nigeria was. Take note, as it is not, the first Nigerian, but the first person in Nigeria because this is what confuses a lot of persons. The record is not properly confirmed but according to popular sources, the first person to drive a car in Nigeria is not a Nigerian. His name is Thomas “Tom” Jones, a wealthy philanthropist. https://i1.wp.com/carmart.ng/public/blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Thomas-Tom-Jones.jpg The precise date which Tom Jones drove his car in Nigeria is unknown but many believe that it occurred around the year 1913. At the time, Lagos was referred to as the Lagos Colony, and it was in this time that Tom Jones donated the first public library in Lagos to the state government. https://i1.wp.com/carmart.ng/public/blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/The-Carter-Bridge-lagos-carmart.jpg The type of car which Tom Jones drove is unknown, but because of his wealth and popularity in the then Lagos colony, a street on Lagos Island in Lagos was named after him to honour his many philanthropic acts in the colony. He died almost 20 years after the public library he donated in 1931 was opened. The public library has been renamed to the Tom Jones Memorial Hall and Library, located in Lagos Island, Lagos. There is much undocumented information about Tom Jones, as he was born in a time when history was not properly documented for future references. But, the first Nigerian to drive a car in Nigeria is Mrs. Olufunmilayo Ransome-Kuti. She was not the first Nigerian to own a car, Sir Herbert Macaulay was, but she is the first to have driven hers. She was a teacher, a women’s rights activist, and a traditional aristocrat. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/who-drove-the-first-car-in-nigeria-and-when/

Deciding on a particular type of car to buy can be a sticky situation, especially when presented with many options. But when faced with limited options and a limited budget, and you are presented with only two options between a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Corolla, how do you convince yourself of the best one to buy? In this article, we have helped you to make your decision easier. Here, we have presented with the important details you need to know about both the Camry and the Corolla. What Is A Camry And A Corolla? A Camry and Corolla are two different types of cars designed and created by Toyota. These two cars have some similarities but in the same way, have some distinct differences. In Nigeria, these two car brands are very popular on Nigerian roads and have been nicknamed by Nigerians because of their popularity. Some of the Toyota Camry’s nicknames are The pencil, Orobo, The muscle, Big for Nothing. While, some of the Toyota Corolla’s nicknames are: First lady, Bank type, etc. Important Features Between A Camry And A Corolla In no particular order, in no order of importance or significance, this section will present to you some important features to consider when deciding which car to buy between a Camry and a Corolla. Price: When working on a tight budget, the Corolla is a better option to pick between the two. A brand new Toyota Corolla is priced at about N8.5 million, depending on the brand. While for a brand new Toyota Camry, it is priced for N20 million. But these prices are subject to the year the car was manufactured. But for used cars, the price range difference stands between the two cars. Check out this list, to find the best prices for used Camry and Corolla cars. Car Engine: A Camry presents itself with a better car engine than a Corolla. The Camry has a better horsepower than a Corolla, when compared to the 132-horsepower of the Corolla. Another concern with the Corolla is the strength and time it exhausts when accelerating, but with a Camry, with its in-built four cylinders, it is ready to start and move at one turn. Body safety: If involved in an accident, the chances of experiencing car damages with a Camry are lower when compared to a Corolla. A Camry and a Corolla are both equipped to pass the safety test features, but with the car make and build a Camry is built to withstand body damages depending on the level of the hit. Trunk space: On this feature also, the Camry beats out the Corolla as the Camry offers a 14.1 cubic feet of trunk space, while the Corolla offers a 13 cubic feet trunk space. The difference in space is not far from the other, but sometimes being able to fit in an extra hand luggage really goes a long way into making a choice. Again, there are different models of these cars, but the Camry overpowers the Corolla regardless. Fuel Consumption & Economy: The Camry gives its owners a 26 mpg on a 6-cylinder engine. A 4-cylinder engine gives a 34 mpg. A Corolla gives a 32 mpg, and unless you want to spend money on fuel, it is better to go with a Toyota Corolla. Interior design: For comfortability and perceived elegance, the Camry is a better choice apart from its exterior design. The Camry allows its riders to experience comfortability by providing more space for them to stretch their legs. This can be attributed to the make and way the two cars are designed. While a Camry is a midsize car, for individuals and smaller families, a Corolla is better suited for an individual with its compact design. Exterior design: A Camry is considered more attractive because of the modern look it has. The finely shaped edges of the car give it a more daring, modern, and youthful look, features that the Corolla does not possess. But, because beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, the Corolla may look very appealing to an intending buyer than a Camry. Don’t close your eyes to the options. With the seven features presented to you, to make a healthy choice between buying a Camry or a Corolla, it is safe to say that the Camry is better than the Corolla in some secondary features. But the two primary features; Price and fuel economy, the Corolla wins over the Camry. The features you want to consider when trying to decide solely rests on you, and I hope this list helps a lot. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/between-a-camry-and-a-corolla-which-should-you-buy/

The automobile market in developed parts of the world offers a wider variety of options when it comes to cars, prices, processes, durability, offerings, and much more. Nigeria at the moment has not peaked to the point where other countries would want to buy used cars from here in Nigeria, and ship it internationally. This is why car dealers, owners, prefer buying cars from outside the country and then import them back into the country. As a result of the rate of development and civilization in these countries, indigenes know how to use products and stop using them and leaving them in a reusable condition for the next consumer. A major product that is easily reused by other persons is a Car. A car can be bought and used for years till the parts wear out, and these parts can be replaced and the body of the car reworked to perfection. Canada is a country located in the Northern part of North America, and it is a country widely known for its rapid development, state of security, and provision of basic amenities to its citizens. Little wonder why many Nigerians seek immigration to this country, and over the years, many Nigerians have successfully settled in Canada, away from Nigeria. Many Nigerians, who migrate to Canada, have relatives here in Nigeria and so many of them send products and goods for them to trade. Again, a popular business that many Nigerians find lucrative is the Car business in Nigeria. Daily, many Nigerians seek ways to make their lives easier and stress free and one of the many ways is through acquiring a vehicle that can help them navigate through living in Nigeria better. To this end, Nigerians, especially, the average, and the poor, prefer buying used cars than buying brand new cars that are more expensive in price. For exporting used cars to Nigeria from Canada, some persons prefer buying a car at a fixed price without bargaining, and others, who have a tight budget, prefer spending time, thoughts, and efforts bidding for cars during car auctions to get cheaper rates for their desired car. For a car to be exported to Nigeria from Canada, the car has to be transported by road to the North-American customs service. Before the car can be loaded for shipment on the sea, the customs have to perform a routine check on the documents of the car. How To Export A Used Car To Nigeria From Canada To successfully export a car to Nigeria from Canada, it is necessary to take note of these steps, especially if it is a used car being exported to Nigeria. Have the essential information and documents: When shipping or exporting a car to any country that isn’t the home country, there are some documents that are very essential and cannot be overlooked. Some of these documents are: The model and the makeup of the car Chassis number of the car Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Year of vehicle manufacture (This is needed because cars manufactured more than 15 years ago are not allowed into Nigeria). Plan the mode of shipping the car from Canada to Nigeria. There are two main types of shipping methods depending on your location and from where you are shipping. The two types are RoRo shipping or Container shipping. For RoRo shipping, it is a widely known method of shipping from Canada to other countries around the world for cars because of its convenience. For convenience, the car can be driven in and out of the ship onto land once the ship docks. The cost involved in using the RoRo shipping method depends on the shipping company you decide to patronize. But one thing is sure, is that your car will be exported safely from Canada to Nigeria, and it won’t be put in a container. For the container shipping method, as the name suggests, the car would be put in a container from Canada to Nigeria. Why a lot of people do not like this method is because there a lot of damages incurred when the car is in a container. A RoRo method of shipping is cheaper and faster than the Container method of shipping, but terms and conditions apply. The used car must not have damages on its body, and once it docks at the port, it must be cleared by the Nigerian customs service. What To Look For When Buying A Used Car When you’re looking for a used car, there are a few things to consider: Reliability: Google is your best friend when it comes to learning about your cars reliability. Searching for recalls and consumer reviews are your best overview of the vehicle. The price of the vehicle will also give you some insight into its reliability, as lower-priced vehicles may be at the end of their lifespan. Vehicle History Report: Using the car’s VIN, you can run a vehicle history report on our Nigeria Vehicle Identification Number Checker. The report should come back with any serious accident claims, including fire or flood. Some car lots may spin the odometer back to increase the selling price, the vehicle history report can alert you of the real number. Some reports even show if maintenance was done on time and the locations where it was performed. Durability: Find out whether or not any parts have been replaced, or if you have to replace any of them soon. If something needs to be replaced, it opens up space for negotiation. Steps Involved When Shipping A Car From Canada To Nigeria Fill up a dock receipt: This is a very important document as it contains some essential information like the type of car, the owner, who it is being shipped to, and more. Once this receipt has been filled out, it is given to the shipping company. Receipt processing: This contains the information that was filled in at the initial stage. It will tell you where the exact port where the car will be delivered to. Make as many copies of the receipt: Once the receipt has been received and processed, it is necessary to make several copies of the receipt because it will be requested at the port by the shipping company. Convey the car, documents, and receipt to the port: It is time to take the car to the port for shipping along with the necessary documents. The officer at the port will receive the car and the documents, where the documents will be officially stamped, and a copy of a stamped and duly signed receipt will be returned back to you. In that receipt, it shows the date the car was brought to the port and the items to be shipped along with the car like tyres, bumpers, steering wheel, etc. Confirm the shipping schedule and follow up to ensure that the car arrives on the due date without any errors. Bill for lading and clearing the shipment at Lagos: immediately notice is sent for the shipping fees to be paid, it means that the bill for lading is ready. The bill for lading is a legal document that entails the type, quantity, and destination of the car. Once the bill of lading is received, after the shipping fees have been paid, copies of the bill are to be made and immediately sent to an already established agent in Lagos. This will help the agent to stay in contact with the customs to confirm the safe shipment of the car to Nigeria. Contact your agent regularly and confirm arrival: After the bill of lading has been sent to the agent, the car can arrive from any moment, so it is necessary to keep close contact with the agent to ensure everything is a smooth sail. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/how-to-export-used-cars-to-nigeria-from-canada/

https://i2.wp.com/carmart.ng/public/blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/2021-Mercedes-Benz-S-Class-Revealed-with-Redefine-Modern-Luxury.jpg The new generation of Mercedes S-class is understated outside, massively technological inside, and brings the fight to the large-luxury-sedan segment. The W223 S -Class is finally here after ENDLESS leaks and as the leaks and renders, we basically know everything about it already. Unlike the massive leap into modernity that came with the W222, the W223 is more of an evolutionary rather than a revolutionary approach. Outside isn’t anything too different with the side profile nearly the same as before, albeit with flush door handles and reshaped shoulder lines. Of course, once you have moved up to an S-class, the list of cars at the same level of luxury is shorter. Sure, there are even more expensive cars on the market: think Bentley or Rolls-Royce. But are there many choices that make it worth changing brands? In the past, the answer has often been no, and with this new W223 generation, Mercedes intends to ensure that the S-class remains positioned at the top end of the automotive hierarchy of technology, luxury, and innovation. The W223 S Class will have a slew of powertrains ranging from the S500 with a 3.0L EQ boost straight 6 making 430HP, 469HP, and 516 lb-ft of torque-ft of torque from a 4.0L TT V8 in the S580. There also is a new S580e with a PHEV 3.0L Straight 6. Then will be the S73e pairing a V8 and electric motor to make 816PS (806HP) both with the 4Matic+ system. Upfront is a whole new experience with a 12.8in OLED display and the haptic feedback with the “Hey Mercedes” feature available at all seats. In total, 5 screens can be had in the car with the three rear optional ones. 3D virtual cockpit, fingerprint recognition, optimal PIN code, and face recognition are here too. There are LOADS of other networking and safety features along with two different HUD’s: one normal one and then a more advanced Augmented Reality Not to mention Level 3 autonomous driving, e-active body control, rear steering with 10 degrees of steering capability* (4.5 is standard). Heated, ventilated and massaging seats, and so much more are on offer. No pricing is out yet. The front end is graced by a new interpretation of the traditional Mercedes-Benz grille, similar to the facelifted E-class but bigger in size. The upcoming Maybach and AMG versions will each get their own unique grilles. The headlights look slim and slightly aggressive, the front hood is long enough to swallow anything from a straight-six to a V-12, and the greenhouse and side view are cleaned up and sharpened. In the rear, the new S-class gets a few delicate creases and horizontal taillights, like all other new Mercedes sedans. It is a contemporary and understated look that will be very competitive in its segment. While it is not lacking in sheer size, the new S-class appears sleeker than the Audi A8 and BMW 7-series that it will face off against. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/2021-mercedes-benz-s-class-revealed-with-redefine-modern-luxury/

https://i1.wp.com/carmart.ng/public/blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/The-new-Rolls-Royce-Ghost-offers-563bhp-from-its-6.75-litre-V12.jpg Meet the all-new Rolls-Royce Ghost, the second generation of the British Rolls-Royce Motor Cars whose parent company is BMW the most successful automaker. The Rolls-Royce Ghost is a full-sized luxury car manufactured by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The “Ghost” nameplate, named in honour of the Silver Ghost, a car first produced in 1906, was announced in April 2009 at the Auto Shanghai show. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars say it launched the Ghost in 2009 in response to younger customers who wanted a model that was slightly ‘smaller’ and less ‘ostentatious’. It went on to become the biggest-selling model in the company’s 116-year history. The Ghost has been a phenomenal success story for Rolls-Royce. Introduced ten years ago as a brand-new concept for the marque, the car has since become the most successful model in the company’s 116-year history. From the start, the Ghost was designed to be driven rather than chauffeured like the flagship Phantom and it introduced the brand to an altogether different set of customers This new Rolls-Royce Ghost version is completely new from the ground up, switching to Rolls’ new aluminum space frame architecture that also underpins the latest Phantom and Cullinan SUV. Despite buyers’ initial wishes for a smaller model, the new Ghost is larger than the car it replaces. Overall length has grown by 89mm, now measuring 5,635mm, while its width has increased by 30mm to 1,978mm. The Ghost gets all-wheel steering for the first time, which is designed to help reduce the car’s turning circle and make it more maneuverable. To improve ride quality there’s also a new suspension set-up: the Planar Suspension System. It comprises an upper wishbone damper unit – the first of its kind – above the front suspension assembly to deliver an even smoother ride, Rolls claims. It works alongside cameras in the windscreen that read the road surface and adjust the suspension accordingly. For instance, the hand-welded aluminum body structure appears as one fluid canvas, uninterrupted by shut lines to recall the coachbuilt Silver Dawn and Silver Cloud. The architecture has also allowed the Ghost’s width to expand by 30mm and, for the first time, the Spirit of Ecstasy mascot is not surrounded by panel lines but is positioned alone, almost floating, on the bonnet. These are subtle changes but together really alter your perception of the car. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/the-new-rolls-royce-ghost-offers-563bhp-from-its-6-75-litre-v12/

Rolls Royce continues to pump out special editions now with the Dawn Silver Bullet that took a pleasant photoshoot nee Lake Garda in Italy. Of course, just 50 will be commissioned to their buyers. The Silver Bullet is finished in an appropriate Brewsyer Silver ultra metallic paint. Where does the name come from? Well, the Silver moniker is a historic one for Rolls with the Silver Dawn, Silver King, Silver Spectre, and Silver Silence coming to mind. The silver colour extends to the rest of the car’s body, harking back to previous Rolls-Royce special cars such as the Silver Dawn, Silver King, Silver Silence and Silver Spectre, while the headlights and bumper sport dark detailing. Inside, there is a carbon fibre dashboard and quilted leather surrounding the central console which Rolls-Royce said is inspired by leather jackets as the “quintessentially rebellious fashion accessory”. The Silver Bullet retains the 6.6-litre turbocharged V12 of the regular Dawn, which generates 563bhp and propels it from 0-62mph in 5.0sec. The car has a top speed of 155mph. Under the hood, the 6.6L TwinTurbo V12 in Black Badge form can make 593HP and 620 lb-ft of torque capable of 0-60 in 4.8sec. Now if you have seen the Dawn before, you would remember the big drop top coupe is also a 4 seater. Well, here you have the Aero Cowling with a titanium and leather finisher replacing them. This transforms the look of the Dark making it almost look like a speedster design. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/rolls-royce-reveals-new-special-edition-dawn-silver-bullet/

The RSQ8 seems to be a popular SUV to be tuned and essentially is a cheaper Urus! But ABT has given their limited and insane R treatment to the RSQ8 to create the RSQ8-R of which just 125 will be made to celebrate their 125th birthday. This model is the most extreme offering by ABT of the RSQ8 with exterior and performance mods. ⠀ 2020 Audi RSQ8-R Under the hood, the 4.0L TT V8 has gotten an ABT ECU, a new intercooler, and more to produce 730HP and 678 lb-ft of torque capable of 196MPH. The upgrades don’t stop there as there is also a new ABT exhaust system with quad tips each 4in wide. Outside, the RSQ8 already looks insane but ABT has upped this part too with loads more carbon fiber aero kit bits like a new front splitter lip, mirror caps, side skirts, side vents, fender flares, and rear spoiler. There also are massive 23in wheels by ABT. Inside also gets custom seats with the RSQ8-R logo stitched in, and loads more carbon fiber and ABT banded components. 2020 Audi RSQ8-R carmart abt-sportsline Said In 2021, we will celebrate its 125th birthday. To increase the anticipation of the anniversary, even more, there is now exactly one ABT RSQ8-R for each of these years. This strictly limited model is the ultimate expansion stage of a vehicle, which with 600 hp (441 kW) and 800 Nm in production trim, has already set a Nordschleife record for SUVs. 2021 Audi RSQ8-R interior A short time later, ABT upped the ante with a performance upgrade to deliver 700 hp (515 kW) and 880 Nm right off the bat. Of course, the exclusive special model can even beat this. Here the high-tech control unit ABT Engine Control works in conjunction with a specially designed intercooler, resulting in 740 hp (544 kW) and 920 Nm. We offer an optional top speed increase to 315 km/h. Until recently, this tempo range was clearly considered the territory of super sports cars. The rare RSQ8-R also knows how to make its presence felt acoustical. This is guaranteed by the stainless steel ABT exhaust system. With its four 102-mm end pipes, it also makes a visual statement. 2021 Audi RSQ8-R Price ABT is charging €68,138 for this package, which is equivalent to ₦32 million according to the conversion rates at the time of writing the article. Quite an expensive package, but ABT is betting on its exclusivity since you’ll be the owner of 1 of the 125 packages made. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/2021-audi-rsq8-r-abt-release-the-limited-edition-to-mark-its-125th-birthday/

It appears the Kia Stinger is getting some big changes for the 2021 model year and the Korean market version has leaked! So what are we expecting? Well, the most significant changes outside will include a totally new full width LED light bar instead of the current light design along with new LED headlights and a slightly revised rear bumper with larger exhaust ports. After what looked like an endless string of spy shots, the 2021 Kia Stinger is finally here. Although you might be tempted to say it’s the old model, there are some subtle changes here and there, starting at the front where the headlights employ a new design and modified daytime running lights along with a darker tint. There will also be new engines with the base Stinger GT-Line getting the all new 2.5L Turbo 4 making 304HP. The Top level GT models will get the 3.3L TT V6 NOT the new 3.5L TT V6 but now will be making 373HP and will have a new variable exhaust system. Upfront will be even more changes including a big one, such as making those hood vents functional finally. The heavy body camouflage upfront suggests a revised bumper design, a reshaped grille, and more! The interior is getting updated too with a new infotainment system that is MUCH larger (10.25in) and ditches the bezels of the current-gen. There will also be a sale of new 10 spoke wheel options and accessories. The Interior is also getting more luxurious with quilted premium leather on higher trims. An unveiling should happen this august. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/2021-kia-stinger-revealed-with-discreet-facelift/

2020 Ford Expedition The 2020 Ford Expedition is the only car on this list that is not an all-new model or a full redesign for 2020. That’s because we wanted to put a full-size SUV on this list and there just aren’t any all-new ones for 2020 since this segment only has a handful of players. The Expedition got a big redesign for 2018 and it’s been aging tremendously well ever since as a roomy and capable family hauler. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/autotrader-name-honda-kia-toyota-highlander-7-others-as-best-2020-car/

2020 Chevrolet Corvette The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 is a huge milestone for the legendary nameplate. The basic formula of the Corvette has been unchanged for decades as a two-seater sports car with a V8 in the front powering the rear wheels. However, the formula has changed in a big way with the 2020 redesign, with the engine finally moving behind the driver in a mid-engine configuration that’s been rumored for almost all of Corvette’s history.

2020 Jeep Gladiator Regardless of how the 2020 Jeep Gladiator was designed, we couldn’t be happier with the result. The Gladiator is the first Jeep pickup truck since the 1992 Comanche and the brand has returned to this segment with a bang.

2020 Hyundai Palisade Autotrader editor Tara is also enthusiastic about where Hyundai is in 2020 and where the brand is headed in the new decade. “Hyundai is killing it at the moment! The Palisade is a great-looking, feature-rich 3-row SUV option for families needing a bit more space for their kids and cargo. Between the Palisade and the new Sonata, Hyundai has stepped up its game big-time, emerging as a modern automaker that really gets how to deliver style, features, and value, all in one attractive package,” Tara said.

2020 Hyundai Sonata You may not have expected to see two Hyundai models on this list, but the 2020 Hyundai Sonata makes a strong case as a class leader in the competitive midsize sedan segment. Its redesign brought with it a stunning new look, a roomy, premium interior, and a generous list of standard features, plus some interesting available tech when you get into the higher trims like remote parking assist that helps with tight parking spaces. That’s a feature you’d normally expect to see in a much more expensive luxury car. The 2020 Hyundai Sonata is offered as a hybrid as well. https://carmart.ng/public/blog/autotrader-name-honda-kia-toyota-highlander-7-others-as-best-2020-car/
