A Kenyan lawyer has filed apetition with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, suggesting that the trial and crucifixion of Jesus Christ was unlawful, and The State of Israel among others should be held responsible, Kenyan news outlet the Nairobian reported on Friday.
Dola Indidis, a lawyer and former spokesman of the Kenyan Judiciary is reportedly attempting to sue Tiberius (Emperor of Rome 42 BC-37AD), Pontius Pilate, a selection of Jewish elders, King Herod, the Republic of Italy and the State of Israel.
“Evidence today is on recordin the bible, and you cannot discredit the bible,” Indidis told Kenyan Citizen News.
Yes, those he suggests should have been convictedduring the original trial have not been alive for more than 2000 years, however Indidis insists that the government for whom they acted can and should still be held responsible.
“I filed the case because it’smy duty to upholdthe dignity of Jesus and I have gone to the ICJ to seek justice for the man from Nazareth,” Indidid told the Nairobian. “His selective and malicious prosecution violated his human rights through judicial misconduct,abuse of office bias and prejudice.”
Indidis apparently named the states of Italy and Israelin the lawsuit because uponthe attainment of independence, the two states incorporated the laws of the Roman Empire, those in force at the time of the Crucifixion.
He is challenging the mode of questioning used during Jesus’ trial, prosecution, hearing and sentencing; theform of punishment meted out on him while undergoing judicial proceedings and the substance of the information used to convict him.
The case was first filed in the High Court in Nairobi, but was rejected. Indidis had then applied to have it heard at the ICJ, which, the Kenyan news website Standard Media(SDE) reported constituted a pre-trial panel that would consider his case.
Indidis says he wants to establish what crime Jesus was charged with and praysthat the court decides “that the proceedings before the Roman courts were a nullityin law for they did not conform to the rule of law at the material time and any time thereafter.”
“Some of those present spatin his face, struck him with their fists, slapped him, taunted him, and pronounced him worthy of death,” Indidis also told SDE.
When Jesus died, Indidis insists he was not given an opportunity to be heard. “I am suing as a friend,” he said.
Indidis insisted on the validity of his case, saying “Iknow with a matter of fact and truth we have a good case with a high probabilityof success and I hope it is done in my lifetime.”
When asked about the case,a spokesperson from the IJCtold legal news website Legal Cheek, “The ICJ has nojurisdiction for such a case. The ICJ settles disputes between states. It is not even theoretically possible for us to consider this case.”

Few days ago, news went viral that one of Bracket music group, Vast was hit with cancer of the blood called Lymphoma. The news generated tension as some of his fans became worried about the development.
Meanwhile, Vast, has come out to calm the tension raised by the news. According to him, “I am full of energy” and “totally healed” because the incident is “an old news. I was healed since February.”

Police have confirmed that the second Boston bombing suspect 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, is alive and in custody after a standoff in Watertown district after an intense day-long manhunt on Friday that closed down thecity and turned a working-class suburb into a virtual armed camp.
The break in the case sent waves of relief and jubilation through Boston and the suburb of Watertown, where armoured vehicles roamed the streets and helicopters flew overhead through the day. Residents and police officers cheered and clapped when the suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was caught after an exchange ofgunfire with police.
The Reuters news agency reported that according to state police, Tsarnaev was bleeding, in serious condition and was being taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
Speaking from the White House shortly after law enforcement took Dzhokhar into custody in a boat that was parked in a Massachusetts neighbourhood backyard, President Barack Obama said Tsarnaev’s capture closes what he called “an important chapter in this tragedy”.
President Barack Obama told reporters at the White House after the suspect’s capture that questions remained from the bombings, including whether the two suspects received any help.
Monday’s bombing has been described by Obama as “an act of terrorism.” It was the worst such attack on U.S. soil since the plane hijackings of September 11,2001, and set nerves on edge across the United States with a series of security scares.
He had been hiding in the stern of a boat parked in the backyard of a house in Watertown, police said. A resident called police after seeing blood on the boat.
The Boston Police Department said in a message on Twitter: “CAPTURED!!! The hunt is over. The search is done. The terror is over. And justice has won. Suspect in custody.”
Tsarnaev is one of two brothers believed to have set off bombs made in pressure cookers and packed with ball bearings and nails at the finish line of the world-famous event, killing three people and injuring 176. The family of Martin Richard, an 8-year-old boy killed in the blast, cheered his capture.
“Tonight, our community is once again safe from these two men,” the family said ina statement.
The older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, waskilled on Thursday night in a shootout with police less than a mile from where Friday night’s capture took place. The FBI had publicized pictures of the two men on Thursday and asked the public for help in identifying them.
Hours after the photos werereleased on Thursday night,a university police officer was killed, a transit police officer was wounded, and the suspects carjacked a vehicle before leading police on a chase that resulted in the first suspect, Tamerlan being shot dead, while the younger brother escaped on foot.
Following the developments in the night, police cordoned off the suburb of Watertown and told residents not to leave their homes or answer the door as officers in combat uniforms carrying rifles scoured a 20-block area.
Public transportation throughout the metropolitan area was suspended, and air space was restricted. Universities including Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT and public schools were closed.
The brothers had not been under surveillance as possible militants, U.S. government officials said. But the FBI said in a statement on Friday that in 2011 it interviewed Tamerlan at the request of a foreign government, which it did not identify.
“The request stated that it was based on information that he was a follower of radical Islam and a strong believer, and that he had changed drastically since 2010 as he prepared to leave the United States for travel to the country’s region to join unspecified underground groups,” the FBI statement said.
The matter was closed because interviews with Tamerlan and family members “did not find any terrorism activity, domestic or foreign.”
At the same time that police were pursuing Dzhokhar on Friday night, police in New Bedford, Massachusetts, 60 miles south of Boston said three other people had been taken into custody for questioning about Monday’s bombings. They were later released, police said.
People in Boston reacted mostly with glee to the news of Dzhokhar’s capture. On a warm evening, people came out of their homes in and around Kenmore Square, whooping and cheering andsimply running together in large groups, holding hands. Some waved U.S. flags.

I’m not a fan of former President Olusegun Obasanjo who sometimes does some self-glorification, but Obasanjo, even if wrong, was taking decisions, but the incumbent president doesn’t take decisions and doesn’t even understand the rudiments of governance.
“As a senator, I don’t have light in my houses in Ife andLagos. I know we still import fuel to favour some people…we’ve spent trillions of naira on fuel subsidy. These trillions would’ve been used to set up refineries, whether doneby the government or by individuals; it doesn’t matter to the electorate. Fuel can sell for less than N40 per litre in Nigeria if there are enough refineries,” he said.
The legislator, who called on Senators to go beyond party boundary and do what is best in the interest of Nigerians by impeaching Mr Jonathan, said, “the worst we can do to the president is impeachment. How many PDP senators will allow you to impeach him irrespective of how badsome of us feel he is? You can’t even raise it, if you do, they (PDP senators) would shout you down. But there must be a limit to politics. As senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, if it’s in the interest of Nigeria as a whole that we take a decision, let’s take it.”
