NYSCNYSC Should Be Extended to Two Years – Jang by CarmelloANGEL(op): 2:02pm On Mar 13, 2013
“The youth corps members are supposed to receive military training for a year so that when they are through, they can be useful to the society, “Jang said during a courtesy visit by the Minister of Youths Development, Mr. Inuwa Abdullahi.
Jang said that one year service was not enough, therefore “we need to re-evaluate it and improve on it to include proper military training.”
He criticised the situation whereby after the service, youths had nothing, and this called for proper guardian counselling.
“Youths are supposed to be counselled right from secondary school before they enter the university so that they can read courses that will give them a future.More than 70 per cent of our university students are reading humanities while the remaining 30 per cent are science students. Nigeria needs to look at thepossibility of creating special science and technical schools that could give the youth some hope; meaningful military training during their servicewill perfect it,” he said.
According to him, the nationis in need of deliberate policies that can stimulate the Nigerian economy by raising the youth in a usefuland profitable manner.
He said that if the universitygraduates could be self employed to provide jobs for other youths, “then be sure the nation is on its wayto economic development and growth.”
Earlier, Abdullahi thanked the governor for building anorientation camp for the NYSC.

HealthFive Things U Must Not Do Before You Sleep. by CarmelloANGEL(op): 10:07pm On Mar 12, 2013
1 - DON'T SLEEP WITH WATCH. Watch can emit a certain level of radioactivity. Though small, but if you wear your watch to bed for a longtime, it might have adverse effects on your health.
2 - DON'T SLEEP WITH BRA. Scientist in America have discovered those who wear bras for more dan 12hourshave a high risk of getting breast cancer. So go to bed without it.

Scientists have proved that electrical items including mobile phoneS and television sets emit magnetic waves when used. These waves can cause disruptions to our nervous system. Therefore if you need to put your mobile phone near you, switch it off first.

HealthSurvival Strategy: Nigerian Men Now Sell Sper.m, Can You Sell Yours? by CarmelloANGEL(op): 4:57pm On Mar 09, 2013
As the Nigerian economic condition bites harder, many male citizens are now ready to sell their seme.n to couples who need them for procreation, P.M.NEWS finding has revealed.
Many of the respondents to the vox pop conducted by our correspondent said they would not hesitate to donate their sper.m for cash as long as it is not for ritual purposes but to help couples battling with infertility have children.
Those who said they would not mindmaking their sper.m available for sale included young as well as married men.
Donation of sper.m and female eggs to couples and fertility clinics, considered a normal practice in most parts of the western world, had beena discrete practice in Nigeria due to the country’s religious and cultural beliefs.
Only four of the 25 male respondentssaid they would never engage in such an act with the excuse that it was sinful.
Some of those favourably disposed to it said they would donate their seme.n based on the condition that they would not be made to know who exactly needs it while others said they were only concerned with the money that would come from thetransaction.
“Why won’t I sell mine if I see a possible buyer?” asked Chibuike Nnamdi who sells women’s wares at the Ojuore market, Ota, Ogun state, Southwest Nigeria.
“As long as it is not for the people to use it for rituals, I am ready oh!,” he said.
A resident of Iyana-Iyesi area of the state, who gave his name simply as Michael, said once the money is good, he would sell his seme.n.
“Most guys these days ease themselves by mastvrbating and thus wasting fertile sper.m seriously needed by married families battling infertility.
“Therefore, rather than for me to continue to waste mine, I am ready to grab any opportunity that comes with selling it.
“I’m just imagining myself mastvrbating and instead of someone to scold me, he pays me. That’s good enough,” the graduate of Chemistry said.
Mr. Mike, a married man who has two children, simply asked: “bros, where is it done? Where is the hospital? Introduce me and we will share the proceeds.”
Another married man resident in Ikeja who refused to mention his name but said he had four children, said many male Nigerians including him would sell.
Hear him: “it may sound absurd at first for someone to approach you to sell your sper.m for that purpose or for you to even realise that you couldsell it, but in the end, you will sell.
“Just imagine how many men have kids outside wedlock, the one they call love kids, which they never tell their family but which continue to trouble them all through life.
“Imagine again, how much you would spend just to have extra-marital affairs with a lady or when you are dating her. In this case, rather than for you to be paying, someone is paying you.”
Mr. Sumanu Giwa, a 40-year old businessman in the Lagos Island area of Lagos, said he would sell on the condition that he was not made to know the family that needs the sper.m.
“If I have the opportunity to sell to a hospital, I will gladly do it and make some money which would assist my business,” he said.
Sumanu’s friend, Monday, even gave an insight into another form of sper.m donation.
According to him, some men battling with infertility and have no money to buy sper.m from fertility clinic now pay young healthy and fertile men tosleep with and impregnate their wives.
“There would be an understanding between the man and his wife. Then they would travel very far and look for a man very distant from them who would sleep with the woman for pay,” he said.
He said one of his friends living in Asaba, Delta state now has a child from such mutual and confidential arrangement.
A resident of Agege, Mr. P. A. Ayo, said he would rather see selling of sper.m to couples in need as assistance to them.
“Have you not heard of situations where the woman knows that the man cannot impregnate her and she then gets someone outside who dates her and continues to pump children into her womb only for her to bring the pregnancy home to a very excited husband?
“We have such women all over Lagosin case you have not found out. So it is maturity on the part of a man to agree to getting his wife pregnant with another man’s semen,” he explained.
A number of fertility clinics engagingin the purchase of sperm from men have sprung up in Lagos over the years, many of them are located on the Island area of the state.
These clinics, which shroud their operations in secrecy, have sper.m banks where they freeze the sper.ms and keep them alive since it is scientifically proven that the lifespanof sperm is between 48 and 72 hours.
Though they refuse to confirm that they buy sper.m, they rather claim that men who give out their sper.ms are simply donors who get a token as appreciation and encouragement.
P.M.NEWS learnt that this ‘token’ is between N250,000 and N500,000 per release depending on how buoyant the clinic is, but these same clinics make millions of naira selling it to couples.
“Before we allow such sper.ms, we first carry out all the necessary tests including sexually-transmitted diseases, blood group and genotype.
“Then we extract the sper.m by majorly making the person mastvrbate after which it is frozen,” a staff of one of the clinics told P.M.NEWS, adding that to ensure success, they make sure the woman is fertile enough to carry the pregnancy.
“For women whose eggs are deformed or who have problems, weput them in the right state before fertilisation. We could even get eggs from female donors and implant them in the wombs of these women.
“I believe in miracles, but sometimeswhen you hear that a woman got pregnant after so many years of marriage, it may be as a result of sper.m or egg donation,” the staff disclosed, adding that the clinics continue to monitor and care for the woman throughout her pregnancy period as well as keep the identities of the donors away from couples.

HealthHorror As Woman (30) Gives Birth To A Tortoise After Being Pregnant For 10 Month by CarmelloANGEL(op): 3:31pm On Mar 03, 2013
A tradomedical practitioner in Lagos has claimed that a 20-year old woman delivered a tortoise and a baby girl in his clinic.
The woman, Rasheedat Raimi, said she had carried the pregnancy for 10 months before she eventually delivered the baby girl and the tortoise ata trado-medical clinic on Mutairu Street, Off Ijegun Road, outskirts of Lagos. She was in pains as she talked to P.M.NEWS about the strange delivery.
“I came to Yakafi for prayers because of the terrible pains I was having in my stomach. Immediately I got here, prayers were offered and immediately there was a burst of water and blood under me. The tortoise came out with the placenta and the baby came out later. I couldn’t believe my eyes, but I was very weak. I was happy the pain left me.I felt relieved after the delivery. I thank God,” she told P.M.NEWS slowly.
On whether she attended ante-natal clinic before the delivery, the young woman said: “I carried the pregnancy for 10 months. I did scans several times and nobody told me that I was carrying tortoise in my womb. What they always told me was that I am alright and would deliver atthe right time,” she added.
“This is amazing, but true. She did not register with myclinic for ante-natal. When she came here with her people, she was in pains, we didn’t know she will deliver here. She only came here for Tahajjud prayers (night vigil). We were praying when suddenly she started wriggling. She was in pains.
“I touched her stomach and observed something strange moving inside her. It was a strange thing. I thought it was a lizard but it turned out to be a tortoise. The tortoise tore the placenta into pieces and came out. The baby came out afterwards.
“She fainted after the delivery and we had to revive her with prayers. This is what God can do. Shehad several scans but nobody told her that she was carrying a tortoise in her womb. God is great,” he declared.
Ladies and Gents, Our technology can not see evil spiritual matters(works). Only God can deliver you when on this position. So, stop relying on technology but God. I hope this story has convinced you. It is well.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Must Read- Touching Story About Cristiano Ronaldo by CarmelloANGEL(op): 3:00pm On Mar 03, 2013
“I have to thank my friend Albert Fantrau for my success. We played together for a youth club. When people from sporting arrived, they told us that whoever scored more goals would be be accepted to their Academy”
“We won that game 3-0, I scored the first goal, then Albert scored a header, and the third was a goal that impressed everyone. Albert went on one on one with the goal keeper. I was running next to him, he went round the keeper, all he needed to do was just to getthe ball into the empty net. But, he passed it to me and I scored. I was acceptedto the Academy. After the match, I approached him and asked him “why” and he answered; “You’re better than me”.
Several years after, journalist went to Albert’s house, and asked whether the story was true. He confirmed. He also said thathis career as a football player finished after that match and he is now unemployed. “But where did you get such a gorgeoushouse, a car? You seemed tobe a rich person. You also maintain your family…… where is all from? Albert proudly replied; its from Cristiano.

PoliticsOkada Replacement? Lagos Moves To Introduce Cable Cars For Mass Transportation by CarmelloANGEL(op): 11:18am On Feb 03, 2013
In what looks likes the Lagos State government’s arrangement towards getting a replacement for the commercial motorcycle transport system (popularly called Okada), a cable car company, Ropeways Transport Limited, is set to launch a cable car mass urban transit system in the nation’s commercial capital.
This is as a result of the signing of a 30-year Franchise Agreement by Ropeways Transport Limited, the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) and the Lagos State Government recently.
According to the Tribune, which reported the story, under the terms of the agreement, Ropeways Transport will this November begin the construction of towers, stations and connecting network cables along various routes covered in the first phase of the project, namely, Ijora–Iddo, Iddo–Adeniji, Apapa–Oluwole, Oluwole–Adeniji, Adeniji–Obalende, Obalende–Falomo, and Falomo–Victoria Island, just as the project is expected tobe fully completed and commissioned by early 2015.
Speaking on the development, the Chief Executive Officer of Ropeways Transport Limited, Capt. Dapo Olumideexpressed his belief that the Lagos cable car transit system would provide an alternative means of mass transportation in the city and it will help ease the current transportation hassles in Lagos and help restore dignity to commuting because the current situation hampers economic development within the city and negatively impacts the quality of life of its residents.
