Politics › Re: 2015: Permutations In APC Swing Towards Tambuwal by Caseless: 7:17am On Nov 15, 2014
Sincere9gerian:
Just for the benefit of the Buhari apostles on NL, led by e-warrior Barcanista. Just so they don't continue to waste their energy trying to sell a very bad product, which has been rejected by even the leaders of their own party. Just so they don't continue to fire aimlessly.

It appears the permutations on the possible presidential candidate of APC for the 2015 elections have shifted from Buhari to the former speaker of the House of Reps, Tambuwal. Indications are that the king makers in APC now agree with El Rufai and many of us that "Buhari is perpetually unelectable". At least this has been reported by two major Nigerian newspapers, including the pro-APC Punch.

And from Vanguard

Imagine, APC finally settling for someone that was a PDP member up until just few days ago? Yet the same APC and it's leader, thief Tinubu, told Nigerians that PDP destroyed Nigeria in the last 15 years. Who is PDP? Where does PDP live? Who is fooling who?

Meanwhile, now that the permutations have changed, we should expect APC warriors to start singing a new song soon.
saTAN9igerian, are u this headless to have fallen for this trash posted by u or ur vanguard?
I knw u pdp has one opposition, and , that is buhari. Why the fumes or d celebration over tinubu's change of support ? Tinubu is smarter than those of u in pdp and wont be that stuupid to act a pdp script again.

what's oya nau. he said differentiate btw 'don' and 'dan'
'don' is used as 'for the sake' of somethin. Like to say 'don Allah' ; meaning , for the sake of God.
'Dan' is used to denote possession. E.g dan kasuwa= a trader or ' market person' . Dan alhaji = son of alhaji.
NB: U use 'dan' when u ar referin to a man/boy. Use 'yar' when refering to a lady/gal/woman.

From the way I learn and the little I've been able to learn thus far, "Dan" means "Son" which is why "Dan Uwa" or "Dan Uba" or "Dan baba" or "Dan Gote" etc all can be translated as "Son of my mother" or "Son of my Father" or "Son of baba" or "Son of Gote" etc respectively.

I can't say this as an authority because I'm also still learning cool. Silkmoth33, Caseless, Delightful1, Talk2riel please assist. Thank you as you do this. smiley

Oga, Boko haram and Brain Injection no rhyme together and you don use your comment fall your hand, Guantanamo Bay wey you talk .. have you been there ? ? ? I am willing to wager top dollar that your information is from movies , Guantanamo bay is supposed to be a CIA black site, military prison for very violent terrorists , Unlike in Nigeria where every police cell is Guantanamo bay , Where SARS and Police torture people with hot pressing iron, cutlass and co.

Information can be corrupted , especially when it leaves the source, As at the time of Invasion U.S.A Believed the information they had about weapons of mass destructions and IEDs are really in Iraq , If it wasn't the then's Government's alliance with terror, if they had cooperated in Iraq , USA probably wouldn't have invaded , and if you do read news , you would discover that the information about weapons of mass destruction and IED was from a very reliable and credible CIA/FBI source, Negotiations with the President in Iraq back then failed , The Oval office had no choice than to invade to protect the lives of the people and the American bases there in Iraq , And UN was involved in the Invasion contrary to your claim.

In March 2003 the United States government announced that "diplomacy has failed" and that it would proceed with a "coalition of the willing" to rid Iraq under Saddam Hussein of weapons of mass destruction the US insisted it possessed. The 2003 invasion of Iraq began a few days later

.

Whatever Evil Israel is committing, please share your sources otherwise everything you have written is about your hate for America and your Love for terrorism . United States will not Invade if there are no credible reasons , according to Wiki , Saddam Hussein did not agree to allow UN inspectors into the country to check / verify the truth about the information USA had recieved , he was stalling them

Saddam Hussein was allowing / protecting al-Qaeda operative Abu Musab al-Zarqawi known terrorist who was involved with WTC bombings .

If USA is the worst human right violator , Why hasn't Iran been invaded ?? , abi them too don't have Nuclear Plants from where they plan to manufacture Nuclear bombs huh IRAN went as far as preventing satellites from being able to take pictures of some of thier Installations on ground, why hasn't Iran been bombed yet ??

My brother , US is the world's big brother , it never does anything to violate people , except the Bad ones , Compared to some powerful people in Nigeria , US as a country has a very clear conscience and clean record
u believed this trash sold to u by the americans. Even as the world has realised d aim behind d invasion, u ar stil here in ur illusion. U even justify guantanamo bay. U need help.

PhockPhockMan:
You're right. The cold war between Nigeria America really started during Yar,adua regime when American government requested that we grant them the permission to establish a military base in Nigeria. The plan got resistance from Nigerians which embarrassed them without measure hence their decision split the country through boko haram. Because they've realized that Nigeria is difficult to manipulate as presently constituted. So anybody who think America will help in dismantling what they built must be dreaming. That's why I want the current president to stay till 2019, so that he will implement in full his laudable foreign policy. I know you won't agree with me, but this the nakedt truth.
u jst made sense for the first time, phock. That doesn't mean ur gej is d man...he's too soft to face america.

US, abeg make una park well jare.

Of what use is your intelligence sharing and the training of Nigeria's soldiers if the equipments to be used in combating the deadly boko haram is not provided.

How would they take action on the intelligence reports?

How would the trained forces put their training to use if the necessary tools are not there??

You trained a man on how to tame or catch a hungry lion and frustrates the man's efforts in getting the right or required equipments in catching/taming the lion, do you want him to use his bear hands to tame or catch the lionhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuh?

Alhaji Aminu Waziri
Speaker of the House of Representatives Alhaji Aminu Waziri will not seek the opposition All Progressives Congress’ (APC) presidential ticket but will, instead, seek the party’s governorship ticket for Sokoto State, Daily Trust authoritatively learnt in Abuja yesterday.

The decision brings to an end a big suspense in Nigerian politics with some newspapers reporting yesterday that Tambuwal secretly picked up an APC presidential nomination form on Monday. Tambuwal did not pick up the form and would not seek it, Daily Trust learnt.
Daily Trust also learnt that Tambuwal’s decision was made after several rounds of high level meetings of APC’s Northern caucus. The party’s elders including its governors, national officials and presidential candidates had met in Kaduna on October 18 and in Abuja, last week.
The meetings, Daily Trust learnt, discussed at length how to reduce the possibility of rancour after one of the aspirants might have won the party’s ticket. The leaders said such rancour could mar the party’s chances of success in next year’s elections and they discussed ways of pruning down the number of aspirants.
An authoritative source close to the Speaker told Daily Trust last night: “The Right Honourable Speaker was present at all those meetings and he fully agreed with the observations made. There was heavy pressure mounted on him from all parts of the country to seek APC’s presidential ticket. Those who were mounting the pressure pointed to opinion polls which found that he is the potential aspirant with the nationwide appeal to defeat President Jonathan in next year’s election. Pressure is also being mounted on him to go home to Sokoto and seek the governorship ticket. He considered all the issues and decided that he must help the process of reducing rancour in the presidential race which could affect the party’s chances of success. Since the party already has four declared presidential aspirants and efforts are being made by elders to prune down the number, the Speaker decided not to compound the problem. He will, instead, consider the call for him to seek the Sokoto governorship ticket.”
The source noted that age is on the speaker’s side so he is in a good position to make sacrifices. Tambuwal, the source said, is also ready to play any role that will enhance the party’s chances of success in the elections, given his broad appeal across the country.
Tambuwal is believed to have the strong backing of Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko in the quest for Sokoto APC’s governorship ticket.
Days before he defected from PDP, Tambuwal attended an APC stakeholders’ meeting in Sokoto, saying he did so upon Wamakko’s invitation. At that meeting, the party’s governorship ticket was zoned to Sokoto South Senatorial District, where he comes from.
There are, however, several other APC governorship aspirants from the same zone. The party has more aspirants from outside that zone. One of them, Professor Muhammad Lawal Bashar recently rejected the zoning arrangements adopted at the caucus meeting and said it could spell disaster for the party.
In deciding to seek the Sokoto governorship, observers believe that Tambuwal may have chosen the path of least resistance given APC’s overwhelming dominance in Sokoto State. The party controls not only the state government but has two of the three senators, all the House of Representatives members, all the members of the State House of Assembly, all the local government chairmen and all the councillors.

Dude let me educate you.

Do you know that PDP has two presidential aspirants and so would conduct primaries?

Do you know that it means GeJ may win the primaries but there will be a runner up?

Do you know that if at the dying minute, a court says GEJ is not eligible to run for president then Tafawa blBalewa's son becomes the PDP candidate?

Do you know that PDP would rather field such a highly educated northerner if they have the chance to do so?

Do you know that GeJ cannot sleep because of the possibility of a last minute betrayal.

Do you know that APC is going to emerge more united at the end of their primaries?

Well my dear...there are a lot of things you don't know. So don't be quick to conclude next time.
