I am even wondering how a traditional ruler can be sacked without throwing that community in turmoil and confusion.

These positions are cultural and their are specific families and individuals whose rights (not privilege) is to be a King in certain communities and the people in that community knows and reverends those precedents as lay down by their ancestors.

Some go through rites and rituals to even find the right candidate and even consult with the ‘gods’ and they move only when the ‘gods has spoken’….though I still don’t know or even have my doubts if the gods ‘spoke’, but that is not mine to judge, it is enough that these people believe that the gods has spoken.
