Shut It Friend. Where You Not Alive When Elrufai Disrespected GEJ's Government?
You Guys Just Keep Lowering The Bar For Buhari, Helping Him Fail In The Process. The Message Is Out, Take It. Leave The Messenger, Everyone's Days Are Numbered!

Dear Fayose; Know this, your days are numbered...You'll soon be humbled the way Metuh, Dasuki and the rest have been humbled. You've disrespected Buhari's government long enough..

In August 14th 2016 at the peak of the JP Morgan issues I bought N25M FGN 15.54% 2020 bond for a friend too..

the coupon was 15.54%

the yield then was 15.38%

last coupon payment was August13th

the total amount paid for the bond was N25,129,544.67 (of this 129,544.67 only 4,220 was the accrued interest for the last bondholder)

In September 16th 2015 I also bought FGN 15.54% 2020 of N17M

the coupon was 15.54%. last coupon was in August 13th)

at this time the yield was 15.95% (higher than the coupon rate due to the JP Morgan issues which led to yields rising then and price dropping)

What I paid was N17,035,907.45 ( All I paid was accrued interest to the former bond holder) I practically did not pay any premium on this.

Politics › President Buhari Rejects Devaluation, Says "I Won't Kill The Naira" by castrokins(op): 3:11pm On Jan 28, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari declared late Wednesday in Nairobi that he was yet to be convinced that Nigeria and its people will derive any tangible benefit from an official devaluation of the Naira.

Speaking at an interactive meeting with Nigerians living in Kenya, President Buhari maintained that while export-driven economies could benefit from devaluation of their currencies, devaluation will only result in further inflation and hardship for the poor and middle classes in Nigeria's import-dependent economy.

The President added that he had no intention of bringing further hardship on the country's poor who, he said, have suffered enough already.

Likening devaluing the Naira to having it "killed", President Buhari said that proponents of devaluation will have to work much harder to convince him that ordinary Nigerians will gain anything from it.

The President also rejected suggestions that the Central Bank of Nigeria should resume the sale of foreign exchange to Bureaux de Change (BDCs), saying that the Bureau de Change business had become a scam and a drain on the economy.

"We had just 74 of the bureaux in 2005, now theyhave grown to about 2,800," President Buhari noted.

He alleged that some bank and government officials used surrogates to run the BDCs andprosper at public expense by obtaining foreign exchange from government at official rates and selling it at much higher rates.

"We will use our foreign exchange for industry, spare parts and the development of needed infrastructure.

"We don't have the Dollars to give to the BDCs. Let them go and get it from wherever they can, other than the Central Bank," President Buhari told the gathering.

The President reaffirmed his conviction that about a third of petroleum subsidy payments under the previous administration was bogus.

"They just stamped papers and collected our foreign exchange," he said.

The President appealed to Nigerians studying abroad to bear with his administration as it strives to address the challenges they are facing as a result of new foreign exchange measures.

He said that he was optimistic that the Nigerian economy will stabilize soon with the efficient implementation of measures and policies that have been introduced by his administration.

Minister Of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi Is Not New To Stormy Waters. He's Again At The Centre Of A Controversial Endorsement By The Arewa Consultative Forum, A Socio-political Org In Northern Nigeria. It Is Controversial In My Opinion Because ACF Is Harping On Amaechi's Uncharitable Treatment And Disposition Towards His Own People.

Read Full Excerpts As Published By The Whistle Below

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Honorable Minister for Transport, Rt. Hon Rotimi Amaechi, we are really pleased with your continuous exceptional kind gestures towards the North, in spite of the attacks on your person and ideology from some sections of the country as a result of that.

We first took cognizance of your extreme love for the North when you courageously supported the then Jega-led INEC creation of additional 30,000 polling units, at a time that Southern Leaders led by former Vice President Alex Ekwueme, Chief Edwin Clark, Senator Femi Okuronmu and Bishop Bolanle Gbonigi, were strongly against it for favouring the North against the South. You boldly and openly criticised the then president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan for halting it because it favoured the North.

Honorable Minister Sir, we also appreciate the pivotal role you played in the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as the
APC presidential candidate as well as his victory at the polls. Even though it was totally against the will of your people, but you shunned ethnic sentiments and placed the interest of the country first before that of your people. We salute such
unprecedented patriotic gesture.

Sir you gladdened our hearts when you announced the cancellation of the needless NIMASA proposed Maritime University in Gbaramatu Delta State, because of the plan of this government to upgrade the Nigerian Aviation College in Zaria to a university status.

We cannot forget the good treatment and empowerment you accorded our people residing in Rivers State while you were
the Governor of that state. Our people doing all kind of legitimate business in Rivers State, including cattle rearers
came back home to tell us how fairly you treated them.

We urge you not to be distracted by those calling you unprintable names but continue to use your good office to support the North because, we will always stand with you in your political career.

We thank you so much and may God bless you richly for everything you have done for us. Sir we are glad to inform you that, we formally adopt you as one of our own because, you have proven to be a true friend of the North. You are always welcome here because, you have earned yourself a home in the North.

Signed:

Alhaji Muhammad Ibrahim.
National Publicity Secretary.

We're In A Very Difficult Situation

Am Just Thinking, Can't One Possibly Pay Over In Aussie On Your Behalf Just To Have You Meet Your Timeline, While You Deposit The Equivalent Into Either Their Dorm Or Current Account Here In Nigeria?

Someone Should Have Been In This Exchange Business By Now To Help Applicant In Dire Situations As This.

Just My Thoughts....

jorgan:
Hello guys, if you got admission and u r yet to pay your fees pls indicate. Forex situation in Nigeria is making things really tight now.

I got admission with UoN and since the beginning of this year, I hv been trying to pay my fees using the Form A. I m due for resumption latest by February 5.

I filled the form with FirstBank on the 4th of January using my personal account and because of SVP 573 rules which required that I pay a deposit of my tuition fees before being issued eCoE to apply for visa, I had to pressurize the bank to hasten the process as I have roughly 5 weeks to get my eCoE, medical tests, then apply for visa (which takes max of 3 weeks to be granted).

Like play, one week had gone and I didn't receive any notification that the payment transaction was made. I became confused then went to the bank to find out wat was going on, the western union guy told me that CBN allows just a day in a week for foreign exchange and between 8am - 11am during this window. I got pissed and felt that the guy wasn't willing to help so I told him to stop.

My dad also uses FirstBank and has a good account officer so I transferred the money for my fees to his account mandating him to sign the Form A on my behalf. His account officer assured me that it will be done and was willing to help.

Then just this morning, I called the man and he informed me on how difficult it will be to process it on time as CBN has everyone knows has limited flow of forex to banks and it's not available at this time.

This is the story of my life right now, I don't know wat else to do, I m running out of time. I do not know when commercial banks will hv enough forex to process payment of school fees.

Does or did anyone encounter this problem? How did u go about it if u did encounter the problem and was able to pay ur fees? Pls house ur response is needed
