UzorIyke:Immediately! |
Irony1:100 times better than Atiku or Obi would. Whatever discontent you may feel against Tinubu, trust me it would be worse under Atiku or Obi. Atiku’s stewardship under OBj was to sell all our assets that provided jobs for Nigerians like Nigeria Airways etc with nothing to show. As for Obi, he is not even qualified to be a LG chairman. What did he do in Anambra for 8 yrs? |
They will learn politics by force! You had 14m Votes instead of you to manage yourselves, you split up. Then after the fact you want to copy the merger playbook not knowing how to execute mergers! You are romancing ElRufai that has no electoral value…you think of if APC felt he had electoral value they would let him go? Because you have read the book, you think you now know more than the author? You are romancing SDP while APC is pulling out governors under your nose and you say you want to do coalition? Thank Gods these bufooons are not in government….you can’t even manage your own affairs! I always say if you cannot manage your own election you cannot manage a country. |
DeAnonymousGuy:why? My friend, All over the world he who pays the piper dicates the tune. In the Uk for example, labour unions fund the labour party. if you are a member of any union a portion of your salary is deducted and it used to fund the labour party, so when you talk of Uk politicians not being corrupt or resigning or working for the interests of the workers, it is because it is the workers that put them there. If you didnt pay you get crumbs. what you think does not matter, you have swallowed western propaganda without reading the fineprint. All over the world, politicians are loyal and work for the interests of who pays the bill, when i say who pays the bill it is not always money but in a democracy elections cost money. I challenge you to prove me wrong, In any democratic country, those who pay the election bills get 1st priority and the ordinary citizens who did not contribute always come last. In foreign countries ordinary citizens contribute even quietly in the form of union dues, in Nigeria they see elections as an opportunity to milk the candidates. In America elected officials prioritise businesses because businesses fund their elections, In the Uk the labour party does not mess with the unions because the unions put them there> if you put yourself there, you owe nobody JAck Sh*T! like I said we either have a sense of entitlement or are ignorant of how democracy works. Adeseye ogunlewe was on channels a few weeks ago saying you need biullions to contest for an election and you have to fund it yourself, he also said back in the day parties were funded by members, PU agents were voluntary. start watching from about 30:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfdLO3QwjtA?si=u11nYYf89rIKp4om |
No straight man is comfortable with gay friends. The thought of a man being gay is so revolting, it is impossible to have a friend knowing he is gay. |
DeAnonymousGuy:demanding good governance while ignoring your role as a citizen is entitlement! it is a 2 way street. The politician who uses his money to fund his election and his party is supposed to get the money from where? Like I said in the countries that you like to point to, ordinary citizens fund political parties via annual dues. Party agents dont get paid to be mobilized, or for campaigns, they do it for free. They volounteer their time and their resources so their is a contract between the leadership and the people. there is also a contract in Nigeria but it the unwritten type and one we pretend doesnt exist or dont like to acknowledge.....I spend my money, i pay you the citizen to come to my campaign, i pay you to campaign for me, i pay you as a polling agent, i even have to pay some of you to vote for me...since you didnt volunteer your resources for me and I had to pay for everything,...i dont really owe you anything. Thats the reality of democracy!!!! when you copy the white man's democracy, you forgot the part where citizens fund the party and volounteer their time for the party and the party funds the candidate's election with the money it receives from contributions from citizens and the time volunteered for free by party members. If i am nominated by a party that is funded by annual member ship fees by members and my election is funded by the party, then my obligation is to the party that funded my election. if I am the one who funded my election, i had to pay delegates, I funded the party, i mobilized the so called party agents for campaign and on the day of the election, then it means I funded my election and I have no real obligation to you. You came out to vote? so what? stay at home if you like. That hard work was in the process leading up to election day and you were nowhere to be found. So you are last on the list of priorities! Thats the way Nigerian politics works because citizens dont fund parties, he who pays the piper dictates the tune. better understand that!!!! |
DeAnonymousGuy:Nigerians have a sense of entitlement. casualobserver:what have you done to deserve a democratic system that works for you? you get out what you put in. |
Educationalserv:he had 30% in kano even without Kwakwanso who got 57%. Atiku only got 7.7% in Kano. The comedian from Malaysia or is it Indonesia got only 1.6%. BTW Atiku has never done well in Kano. When you consider what is happening in the SS, if Tinubu manages to bring in Kwakwanso, the election is over even before campaigns start. |
VnAhunnaPl:Neither should he |
Racoon:Console yourself because once again you have been outfoxed before the race even starts as if Atiku or Obi are men of honour, principles and character! Your people trying to borrow other peoples election strategy (coalition) but don’t know how to execute it. 2023 wa s a once in a lifetime opportunity and you blew it. You had 14m votes but you blew it! Kano is loading, Fubara is loading, there are even rumours Jackson and Alex are loading, |
mannobi:I have explained why IMHO the alliance worked in 2014 but it is doomed to failure from the start this time. The reason is simple: the arrowheads of the 2014 coalition did not have conflicting ambitions. Tinubu, Saraki, Amaechi did not have ambitions to be president so it was easy to coalesce behind Buhari. It’s really that simple! |
Sabadon:What was it ever about? You sit down in your house and expect others to expend their time and resources for you? Politics is about interests. In the countries you use as a yardstick, ordinary citizens are registered party members, they pay monthly or annual subscriptions to fund the party, they are volunteer community political activists, they man the polls for free, they campaign door to door for free. You sit down in your house, watch as someone else spends his money to create a structure, spend his money to campaign, to even pay you to be polling agent for the party you support and you expect him to work for your interest not his…why? |
helinues:Some people defected, they couldn’t carry any governor, senator or Rep member with them and they say they want to form coalition to unseat the govt. Yet just like that, one powerful state with all their members and factions including entire structure flipped! Imagine Sheriiff and Okowa flipping? Jagaban is not their mate!. SS is positioning, after Tinubu, SW will not see presidency for another 40 years. SE had better borrow themselves some sense and stop backing that loser because if they don’t start to act right when presidency rotates to the south it is going to SS. 2027 is a done deal, I would have loved Umahi as VP in 2031 but SE is not helping him at the end of the day politics is a numbers game! even suspended Governor is singing the praises of Tinubu, Kano NNPP defection incoming. People will learn politics by force! |
“Thrice higher”. Where do we get these journalists, do their editors not proof read their articles? |
Is this not that HIV sex shop ex-senator? |
Badexx:Which evidence? Dumping BVAS machines in court in not evidence. It’s all for show for gullible uneducated brain dead ignorant supporters. For it to be evidence, you have to show how the votes in the BVAS are less than those who voted. If results were altered, you have to show how the results recorded on form EC8 is different from the either the results collated at the ward or state level or different from the forensic evidence from the used ballots which are still preserved. casualobserver: |
IfnobeGod20:I have just seen this post and this is a very daft submission. 1: in a situation where EC8 can be altered at the polling unit, it implies it is not a stronghold of the rigged party in which case, with your education, you are telling us that voters from the other party stood by, saw them count and watched them paste a different result? If it a stronghold what is there to alter if you are not over voting? In such a scenario what you would do if you want to rig is over vote which like we have established can be detected via BVAS. Are votes not counted in public before they are recorded and pasted? 2: humoring you and assuming voters from the opposition party stood by and heard them count but record a different figure, do you not realize that the actual ballots are serialized and preserved both the used and unused ballots? So if indeed such a fantasy occurred, there is evidence. 3: assuming but not conceding that you could even get away with this in a handful of PUs. How many PUs would you have to pull this off to make a material difference to an election result bearing in mind that these would have to be PU with significant presence of opposing voters? It’s not today you have shown on Nairaland you are not very smart! |
Apart from Tinubu, I have always felt the governors after him have not performed to the potential of the lagos economy. lagos will always looks good on paper when compared to other states but when you actually look at the lagos economy and asses them based on the Lagos economy.... IMHO they've all under-performed. |
DomPerignon:I have met quite a few people who voted for Obi who today tell me they regret voting for him and are happy with what Tinubu is doing. |
Seun:Perhaps your new director can add a block or ignore function that is badly needed on Nairaland? |
Dam5reey1:I was able to download the installation manual here as no info on Deye website. https://www.solar-europe.co.za/product/deye-6kw-single-phase-off-grid-hybrid-inverter-voc-500v-battery-60v-excl-wifi-sun-6k-og01lp1-eu-am2/ As per you comments on CT and grid feed, see page 38. Maybe I am not reading it right but it seems to indicate in certain configurations it can feed to grid and there is an internal CT with option for external. Looks like a very interesting inverter, I particularly like the overpaneling capability!

We should start by banning traditional rulers from speaking English in public or official engagements, they should use interpreters. What culture are "custodians of traditions and culture" preserving by speaking English? |
wetin concern Nigeria...do we export anything to them? |
Interestingly he didn’t deny the bombing of the house of assembly. …..or am I the only one who noticed? |
God1000:did anyone laugh out loud with me when they read "military cooperation"? |
e be like bandit leaders boku, because everyday bandit leaders are killed and we still find 20 leaders to kill. ....anyway well done to the Nigerian Army |
all this one na story. Job wey you no finish, you no finish! A sprinter running a race and leading but collapses before the finish line does not even get a bronze medal. This is the lesson to people! history does not remember those who did not finish the job. Even if that finishing means death, you finish the job. The glory is in finishing not effort. Reminds me of a famous catch phrase by the late presenter of the famous mastermind quiz in the UK Magnus Magnusson ......."I've started so I'll finish" |
An attempt to rewrite history failed....well done Senate! they will come one day and want to give national honour to NNamdi Kanu. |
but you wont rescind the bill to give ibos in Lagos indigene status? |
